» Appearance Description: Kyoko is an pretty seventeen year old girl with a petite figure. She has waist length, straight, light brown hair. Her bangs come across her forehead, separating just a bit on one side. With two thick strands of hair dropping down the sides of her face, she uses some more of her hair, braids it, and ties it behind her head to give it the 'half up and half down' look. She has softened brownish-red eyes that seem innocent, but are actually just dazed. One thing people will notice about her is that she constantly wears a red and white 'gauntlet' on her right hand, really almost never taking it off. When in battle,after activating the gauntlet, she wears a white and red outfit that looks like half a dress with a red skirt under it and a cape that continues down to her ankles. She also wears white and red thigh-high 'stockings' and has a belt around her waist. She stands at a tiny five foot and one inch tall, which makes her faster and harder to hit. She also weighs a mere one hundred and fifteen pounds, most of it being muscle.

» Personality: Kyoko is one of those people that daydreams all the time if she is bored. People constantly tell her that she lives in her 'own little world'. To keep her from doing this, she must be entertained, focused, or have something interesting to do. If she is not being entertained or forced to focus, she will daze out and block everything everyone is saying out. When she blocks things out, she rarely remembers what people tell her and will be caught 'ignoring' people. She is usually calm and friendly to those around her, but she can accidentally offend them when they tell her something, but she is dazing out and doesn't hear anything. A lot of the time, she can miss extremely important details that she definitely should have taken note of. When she is entertained, she laughs, smiles, and jokes around a lot. While entertained, she is very clumsy and has problems with her hand-eye coordination. When she is focused, which is usually only in fights, on missions, or during tests of some sort, she doesn't talk very much at all. Kyoko in 'focused mode' is attentive, serious, and precise in everything that she does.

» Dislikes: Being bored, being talked down to, walking everywhere, working too often, going on missions, fighting, insults, bullies, criminals, liars, selfish/inconsiderate people, and bugs.

» Background: Kyoko was a first born of the lower branch of the Tanaka Family. She is the granddaughter of Kenshin Tanaka's younger brother. Being born second, third, etc... within the Tanaka Family will always land you within the lower branch of the family, unless the first born has been banished. All first born are sent to the main house to begin their training, and Kyoko was no exception to this rule. At the age of five she began her training, but it was never something that she really liked to do. Being forced to go to school and then come home to be forced to train, this was never her idea of a good life. Nonetheless, she did what she was told and by the age of ten was rather good, but could never match up against her second cousin Keianna Tanaka. This thought did create a very small rivalry between the two, but it wasn't enough for it to really effect their relationship. Keianna was like an older sister to Kyoko, constantly teaching her moves, although it was hard for her to grasp them.

Finally, at the age of seventeen, Kyoko was at a level where training was not going to continue being forced upon her as if she were a beginner. Training was dropped down to early mornings on weekends and she was able to develop a social life of sorts. Of course, she spent most of her time reading romance, sci-fi, and action novels that she got from the library. She enjoyed being in a completely different world, at least the one within her own mind. She day dreamed about anything and everything, especially when she got bored. With her knowledge in martial arts, Kyoko felt like she could be some sort of super hero. She wasn't able to go out and fight hollows like others were. She'd be put on missions, but she was always babysat by someone, usually Keianna. In class, she'd be called on for a question and when she ignored the teacher, the teacher would yell and have to snap her out of her daydreams. This hasn't effected her grades really at all. She's a normal low B, high C student and not ever has she failed a class, so people don't bug her too much about it. Now she has started her second year at Karakura High and is hoping to change her daydreaming habit and focusing more, but that was going to be hard.

» Natural Attributes:

Martial Artist: Kyoko's style is also a mixture since her main teacher was Keianna Tanaka, whose style is definitely a mixture of multiple arts. Kyoko just grabbed a few moves she liked and put them together. She's extremely quick on her feet and there is a graceful fluidity in her fighting style. Her style basis itself on dodging and then attacking. Counter-attacks are definitely her best way of actions when it comes to hand to hand combat. Jujitsu, which is a style based on grabs, throws, and holds... is the main style she concentrates on.

Kyoko's Sword:

Although she isn't the best around, having been trained under Keianna, she was able to learn a few tricks with a blade. She doesn't know anything fancy, but she definitely can defend herself against most opponents without problems. She uses a specially made swords in combat. The sword she uses is specially made for her and her evolutionary powers. Once she discovered her powers, she needed something to help her channel them, so her sword is specially designed for that, which allows for even more advanced combat than it would if it was just a normal sword. The sword is summoned when she activates the gauntlet she wears. She sends very small burst of her collected energy through the gauntlet and this causes her sword to instantly form in her hand, along with her outfit to change to the one that is explained in her appearance.

Racial Powers:

Anima Stone: Kyoko's anima stone is a white with multiple swirling colors inside of it. She had a lovely design of steel carved around it to make it look like an amulet of sorts and now wears it around her neck every single day. She never takes it off. This anima stone is a “storage” case of sorts. The energies she is unable to keep within her body without doing damage, she stores within her Anima stone to use it later. It has enough space within it to power an entire block of skyscrapers for an entire weak, or enough space to burn down a small city. » Evolution Powers:

Light Energy Manipulation: Kyoko has a very powerful ability that allows her to manipulate a single type of energy to her advantage and practically do anything with it. This energy is light energy. Gathering energy from practically anything that gives of light, such as electricity, fire, and the best source of light energy, the sun. Kyoko is able to generate, shift, focus, bend, scatter, direct, and generally manipulate light energy to various degrees and effects. By bringing in and collecting light particles, she can increase the amount of energy she possesses by an immense amount. To control these energies, she uses her hands to guide it OR just a mental command. The more particles she takes from different sources, the darker the area will become because she is literally taking away the light. Once she stops using that source, the light will return just like normal, but while she is using it, it just continues to drain until she stops, becoming darker and darker by the moment. With each of the energies she has the ability to use, she can also channel it through her sword and focus it for attacks.

Solar Light Energy: This type of light comes from the sun, obviously. During the day, it is the easiest and most abundant source of energy she can collect. During the time the sun is up, as long as she is in the sunlight, she pretty much has an unlimited amount of energy. When using solar energy, it can come out in three different colors; white, yellow, bright orange. Orange is the weakest of these energies and is usually used for defense and prevention. Yellow is the most common energy that she will use. It can be used for attack and defense. White is the strongest of the energies and is uses for attacks, defense, and illusions. These illusions that are used are based off of mirrors and invisibility, one of them making her look like she is everywhere, but the other making her seem like she isn't there at all.

Flame Energy: This type of energy comes from fires. A simple match being lit can give her the tiniest amount of energy. As she pulls the light energy away from the fire she is pulling it from, she extinguishes it. This type of energy is obviously going to have an intense heat to it. It isn't something that she can contain. If she collects it, she has to use it quickly or it can cause damage to her own body, burning her from the inside out. This energy comes out a mixture of orange and yellow and does a massive amount of burning damage to whatever it hits. It's really only used for beam, wave, energy ball attacks. It can come out like normal flames as well, but is usually just a mixture of orange and yellow lights swirling around each other.

Electrical Energy: This type of energy comes from regular electricity and lightning. It is extremely dangerous to hold onto, just like flame energy. After collecting it into her body, she has to use it quickly or it can also cause damage to her body. This type of energy does shock damage and can also burn or set things aflame. This energy comes out white and light blue. It comes out in the shape of lightning bolts, obviously, and has an almost unlimited range. It continues on until it hits something that is strong enough to stop it. To collect this type of energy, she must be struck by lightning or even stick her hand in an electrical socket. Electricity is something that has to keep moving on a steady path otherwise it does damage. One this she commonly does with this is direct it through her sword. She'll pull the energy from a socket and have it flow through her arm and out of her sword, only able to stop it all at once. Collecting this energy has the ability to wipe out an entire city blocks power for hours.
