Something he had to do he felt as he walked considering things. The woman said to come here above all else. That wasn't what he desired all the way with reality. The name left to him meant name. He'd been in thought as he walked through the warm sands. Navn was the name she'd provided as a call sign. Verathius and William died for him as he stopped finally. Arriving at a place that was both foreign and familiar. His eyes of different colors slowly scanned the area. This place was where William and Verathius had sat. A general confusion appeared on his face as he remembered it. But physically it didn't mean anything to him really. Sacrifices had been made here to remain at the behest of her. But for what end did they die and he stay here? Why did Verathius decide that satisfying his sister so important? It was his sister also, but he didn't understand it. Why such blind devotion without question or reason? He didn't understand what lead them to this. His heart loved his sister and he did care for them. But trepidation existed in him as well.

Blind devotion caused the schism of Verathius and William. But also lead to his birth, no that wasn't accurate. This was a rebirth wasn't it in that case perhaps his name would best come from that. The body and heartache within a person. Seeing the area as he glanced around slowly. Fear was alright as an emotion he guessed truthfully. So long as someone was willing to sacrifice something in turn. His frame crouched down as he looked around. His expression was sad but held a rather unsureness to it. Slowly a tear dripped from his red eye again as he took a finger catching it. Why did a tear spawn over such a thing he could only guess? Did Verathius weep or William perhaps? Or did the memory of this place draw sadness from within him? Ashlei was a child in this regard to using her own family like toys. They meant nothing in the larger aspect of it. He understood that now as he silently thought to his sister. Devotion had caused him trouble and drove him to the Gotei.

Moving himself to the side he avoided something he detected. A creature had spawned a large hollo. The smash of its tendril upon the ground was little matter to him. The creature balked and came at him again only to be avoided. Before the back of its neck was grabbed. His eyes looked on unsure of why it struck at him. The creature had a humanoid body though it's lower portion was more like a slug. "Tell me, why do you attack me?" Struggling it began to charge a cero as its head began to turn. Though without missing a single beat his hand released a massive blast. Leaving nothing but ashes where had once been a body. Clenching his hand closed he stepped off the corpse of the hollow. Sitting down in the sand now he looked on calmly. It wasn't as though he'd not seen anything else happen. "I don't....don't have an answer for a lot of this...But...I think it's time...I forget about Ashlei and the family that was. I need to focus on the family that...is..devotion to them..seems more important...Sorry...William...sorry Verathius, but...I will go by Anastasius from here. I can only promise to do...my best with the chance you've given me." He didn't hear a response or expect one truthfully. This was a declaration of what he intended to do. The Espada would be his family, the new family of which he built a bond with. That was his goal to fill this emptiness inside with that. He'd sacrifice whatever he had to for his family. Pure devotion was his calling card from here on. Not to Nagato, but to his family as a whole. Anastasius the Rebirth was what it meant in a dialect. For some reason that stuck out to him. He was abandoning his origins as the family of that clan. They'd changed his hair and appearance to look different. But if he ran into Rose perhaps something would be there. But perhaps not as well, that spark had long since died. He'd likely seek Nagato's help to improve his power. He needed to protect his new family and that required power.
