Sleepover Celebration! (Private; Sylvia)

Ever since Ari had met the rather attractive Quincy by the name of Sylvia, she seemed to have a new friend; or at least acquaintance. Whichever it was, Sylvia had apparently wished to spend time with Ari enough to call her about having a sleepover; something Ari had only heard of and never done. At least, as far as what an actual sleepover is; not the shenanigans that Arianda used to pull once upon a time. Clearly, she had gotten better. Sort of. She did have a bit of fun, more than once, with a rather attractive Vizard that simply loved "sleepovers". However, such things had stopped, and while Ari missed her, and was unsure where Abi was at the moment, she was still glad to have more friends; and especially when she was normally very good at being a recluse. Which was why a certain Angel of Conflict was preparing her home for Sylvia to come over; for that attractive blonde Quincy to come over for Ari's first, actual, sleepover.

Of course, Ari had absolutely no idea what to do. Sure, she knew the cliches of pillow fights, pajamas, and weird games; but with only two of them, most of those would go by the wayside. However, when Sylvia called Ari, she told Ari that movies were her charge; meanwhile, Ari just needed to prepare everything else. Frankly speaking, she didn't want to try and turn her entire mansion into a sleepover attraction; her room would be just perfect for that part. Instead, Arianda cleaned the mansion, using a bit of help from her daughter Aki and Amphilogiai; getting things spic and span before both Aki and Amphilogiai resumed their own activities while Ari cleaned up her room. Putting away clothes, cleaning generally everything, and then she set things up to work for a sleepover. Blankets for them to use, and Ari even outfitted her bed to be a bit better for watching movies. They could even sit on the floor at the foot of the bed. Especially since Ari had a TV in her room that was easily big enough for them to enjoy a movie anywhere in the room. Except maybe the bathroom and closet; difficult to see the TV from there. However, Ari had finally prepared her room to what she hoped would be good for Sylvia.

All that was left for the little demon of conflict to do was to wait; to wait for Sylvia to arrive. The demon simply hoped that none of the movies had anything oddly erotic in them. She did not need anymore temptation than a Sylvia in cute pajamas. Regardless, Ari was greatly looking forward to tonight.

Sylvia Brauer

Bereft of her usual appearance within the Harbour, announced grandiosely by thunder and lightning; Sylvia touched down upon the step in front of a certain home softly. A small tote bag hung from the forward end of her hexenflug. Her choice of outfit had been casual: t-shirt and pleated skirt over thigh-high socks and sneakers, with her himmlische anzug in the form of a hooded vest that complimented the look well.

With her arrival, the warmth of her inner flame joined that of Ulv's energy that permeated the city. A soft grin greeted the passerby who looked over to investigate this newfound feeling of love and compassion for all things, and she angled her broom so that the bag fell into her waiting hand, just as the instrument of her travel vanished from sight.

In truth, she wasn't entirely sure how their conversation over the phone had come to involve a sleepover, but the idea did excite the newly promoted captain. A night to relax and enjoy herself was exactly what she'd needed right now, as something recent weighed on her mind.

Her smile faltered for just a moment, before she forced it back into place and reached up towards Arianda's door. She knocked firmly several times, and the bangle that was the focus of all her powers jangled haphazardly against the fabric of her leiden hant.

As far as Ari could tell, it was almost time for Sylvia to arrive at her home; at least she thought so. It didn't take too long to arrive here. Then again, Ari was unsure how Sylvia was travelling; but something burning in her breast told Ari Sylvia was close. Arianda had to grin just a little as she rushed around to make sure everything was fine; then she put her pajamas aside, some rather short shorts and a T-shirt, for after she answered the door. She did so quite soon as she heard quite a firm knock on the door. She grinned, sliding down the banister on her stairs down towards the front door; stopping for a moment to straighten her skirt.

Soon, Arianda opened the door and saw the woman outside; giving her a big grin. Arianda stepped aside and motioned for Sylvia to enter.

"It's great to see you Sylvia~ I'm glad you made it here alright~!"

Arianda gave Sylvia a warm smile before she opened her arms tentatively; seeing if the woman would try for a hug. If not, that was alright. She knew Sylvia was likely still a little touchy on well... touching. Afterwards, hug or not, Arianda would have Sylvia follow her up the stairs and to her room; the same room Sylvia stayed in during the first portion of time she had ever stayed at Ari's house. Frankly, it looked different. Same bed, tv, and all that; but it looked decked out and ready for a sleepover. Ari even added a mini-fridge, temporarily, if they needed a snack while watching their movies tonight. While Ari had no idea what Sylvia brought to watch, she was looking forwards to a lovely night.

As soon as Sylvia and Ari arrived in Ari's room, the demon had shut the door behind them with a quiet snap; and Ari grinned at Sylvia as she moved towards the bathroom; already losing her boots, thigh-highs, and most of her clothes that did not completely reveal her. She grabbed her pajamas from the bed and winked at Sylvia very playfully.

"I'll be right back out, just need to get changed~"

She smiled at Sylvia, soon closing the bathroom door behind her and changed into the pajamas she was only wearing for the need to wear pajamas. Naturally, underwear was unneeded. Well, except maybe panties. Maybe. Either way, the demon was soon in her pajamas, just a simple shorts and T-shirt, and she was back out of the bathroom; yeeting her clothes behind her. Which faded into the shadows as they hit a wall behind Ari. She hummed softly, moving over to sit on the foot of the bed.

"So, what's the plan for movies tonight, Sylvia~? The bathroom's open if you need it for anything. Oh, and uh... This all works for a sleepover, right? I've never had one, sooo I got no clue if it's good."

She smiled sheepishly, but hoped Sylvia would appreciate her effort and at least like how things were set up. It was basic, sure, but it was all Ari could really think of with so little experience. Mostly, Ari was hoping to have a really nice night.

Indeed, the Quincy was hesitant at first, but with all her stubbornness, she gladly accepted the demon's hug. There was hardly any fanfare, even. She let the embrace linger for a few seconds, and perhaps a second or so too long, before letting go of the woman and being invited inside.

"It's much easer ven I haffe mein povers." She laughed some, and even showed several teeth while doing so. It was also so much easier to relax and be friendly with the demon, rather than someone who expected things or behaviors from her.

By the time she had set her belongings on Arianda's bed, the demon was already undressing and giving her not the most subtle of a wink. Sylvia felt her cheeks warm with blush, and grinned wider before she could look away while the other woman retreated to the bathroom to change. The thought did cross her mind: did Ari expect anything from her tonight?

She shook her head, and answered that question quietly in her own mind. The phone was taken from her pocket and set on the bed, and in moments, she had it beginning the process of syncing with the rather impressive tv. In the meantime, she opened her bag and withdrew several articles of clothing, all bundled together in her arms while she waited for the bathroom to become free again.

Arianda wasn't long in the privacy behind the door.

"Ja," she replied heartily to the woman's questions. "It's perfect." Her smile grew again, just before she herself disappeared into the bathroom with a quick, "One moment." Truthfully, it was as near to perfect as she could have hoped; a night in with movies and a friend. She hadn't had a proper sleepover since she was a girl, and memories of those times were hardly painful.

Several minutes later, though maybe a little longer than the demon had taken, Sylvia emerged dressed in her own sleepover uniform, of sorts: a matching light blue, long-sleeved, button-front top and bottoms that were pretty conservative when compared to Arianda's choice of attire. She had, of course, opted for panties, as her lack of a bra was scandalous enough.

That wouldn't be a problem, would it?

She returned her street clothes, neatly folded, to the bag she had brought with her, and her shoes beside the wall. Grabbing her phone again, she practically fell onto the bed beside the demon, and held the device so that they both could see. "I didn't know vat vu like, so I haffe a lot of mofies to pick from."

Indeed, she had brought quite the selection, ranging from romantic comedies to action-thrillers to classic horror.

Soon, Sylvia had her turn in the bathroom; and it was then Ari took a little bit of time to reflect on the hug Ari and Sylvia shared when she entered. Not to mention, she seemed far more cheerful than last time; even if Ari could feel a bit of sadness lurking below what felt like a casual mood. The last time Ari had seen Sylvia, which had been she was taking care of her, any wayward touch would cause the woman to freak out or recoil greatly. However, Arianda hummed softly as she waited, and soon she looked towards Sylvia; still glad to know that Sylvia liked her preparations so much. After all, she had absolutely no experience with sleepovers. However, she had to admire the outfit Sylvia brought to wear for their sleepover. It was quite cute, really. Sure, it didn't show basically all of Sylvia's legs like Ari's did; but it was definitely the woman's style. Besides, blue fit her well.

Arianda hummed softly, noting that both of them lacked bras; while both likely had panties on. She couldn't say for Sylvia, but Ari decided to not be scandalous this night. Or, at least, to try to. Arianda hummed as she watched Sylvia move next to her, and flop onto the bed next to Ari. The demon chuckled softly and leaned back so she was nearly laying next to Sylvia. She perused the three genre's Sylvia mentioned; uncertain of what to watch. Sure, action was great, as was a good horror, but she really wasn't terrible good at knowing what to watch; viewing movies and tv wasn't her specialty. However, she eventually pointed to the classic horror section of the movies.

"How bout the horror films? At least for now. I'm not exactly an expert at movies, so I'll leave the choice of which one up to you. Oh, and we can sit on the floor or stay on the bed for the movies; I don't mind either one~"

Arianda smiled warmly at Sylvia, looking at the woman from her position next to her; feeling the tiniest pang of longing before Ari controlled herself. Ari simply let Sylvia do what she needed to do in order to set up their movie and start their sleepover right. After all, it was Ari's first actual sleepover; and she believed it was going to be a good one.

A small giggle escaped the blonde before she could stop it. How anyone was or was not an expert on movies didn't matter much to them tonight, though she held back from saying as much. Before saying anything, she quickly sorted through the extensive library she'd prepared, and settled on a creature feature from nary two centuries earlier:

The Black Lagoon Returns!

She couldn't tell one thing about the history of the film or the people who had made it, but it was rated highly.

"Zee bed is fine." Sylvia admitted while rolling and reaching over to place the phone on the table by her side. She had a nasty habit of bumping the thing and restarting or shutting off movies on accident, so the less of that, the better.

While the beginnings of the feature film nonsense that was at the beginning of every home release nowadays played, she sat up and looked down at the demon eagerly. "So, vat did vu prepare for snacks?"

Arianda could not help but blush a tiny bit as Sylvia giggled at Ari saying she was not an expert at movies. Technically speaking, Ari was still new to the realm of technology; and she didn't have the greatest grasp on it. Her inverse was the definition of a technological genius; but Ari herself was normally lagging behind a little bit. Regardless, Ari hummed softly as Sylvia set everything up. And then came Sylvia's question of what Ari prepared for snacks.

The demon smiled up at Sylvia as she asked about the snacks; which Ari slowly counted off in her head before she spoke about what she had in the mini-fridge near her bed.

"Well, I got some chocolate in that fridge there, soda, water, assorted juice, and just some general snack bars and the like. I have popcorn, and more, downstairs if you want anything else~"

Arianda smiled warmly at Sylvia before she hummed softly and sat up after she spoke about the popcorn. Getting some popcorn now before the movie had started, even if they didn't eat all of it, would be a good idea.

"On second thought, I'll go get the popcorn now; just so we have it."

Arianda smiled at Sylvia, standing up and making sure not to hit Sylvia on accident. She then went downstairs to make some popcorn. After around three minutes, Ari returned to the room with a bowl of popcorn; setting the bowl down on the nearby bedside table. She hummed softly, taking a seat next to Sylvia and smiling.

"Any other snacks, Sylvia~?"

Sylvia took mental note of the impressive list of snacks that the demon had prepared for them as she listed them all, but kept an eye on the screen all the while. For something nearly so atmospheric and tension building as horror, they couldn't miss a moment of it because they were talking about food.

So, when Arianda had stood to go prepare their popcorn, the Quincy reached over and quickly paused the flick, just as the warnings against piracy were ending, and the movie about to begin.

However, the demon was gone for some minutes, and Sylvia took the opportunity to check her phone for any messages. There were none from work, of course; she had taken the night off. There were a few social media posts to gawk at, though, and more than a few giggles filled the room at the absolute cuteness of a certain kitten picture.

Then, she fell silent, and her expression dropped. The owner of the kitten in the background had caught her attention, and she felt a pang of sorrow and longing in her heart.

She was pulled from her regrets by the demon's voice, "Oh, nein. Zee popcorn is fine for now." An errant chuckle and forced smile tried to hide what she'd been doing, and though she fumbled with the device for a moment, she quickly closed the app and pulled up the controls for their movie again.

With a few strings of reishi, she flicked off the lights, then the movie began in true fashion, with a deep hum of bass to build the sense of dread to come.

Something was very much off. Sure, Sylvia seemed happy, however there was something was lurking below the surface; something that was causing her sorrow. This became abundantly clear when Ari had entered the room earlier with the popcorn and Sylvia was staring at her phone; a clear expression of melancholy on her attractive features. Arianda had already placed the popcorn on the bedside table. However, she moved next to Sylvia; sitting next to her and reaching for the woman's phone. She paused the movie and looked at Sylvia close before finally speaking. She had to know. After all, Sylvia looked so sad; like something from the past was now weighing upon her mind and heart.

"Sylvia, is everything okay? I know you may not want to talk about it... But,"

Arianda's eyes searched Sylvia's, trying to find an answer or something that would tell her without words. However, something like this would need a full answer and not one that cannot be told without words.

"But, if you don't mind telling me or talking to me about it; I would love it if you did. I don't like to see you so sad, Sylvia... However, I understand if you don't wish to talk about it. Just, well... I'm here if you need cuddles, comfort, or anything, okay?"

Arianda smiled warmly at Sylvia from whatever position she was at after doing her best to ask Sylvia what was wrong. Of course, Ari could not force answers out of the woman; not at all. No, she wished for Sylvia to tell her of her own accord; to get comfort from Ari in the aftermath. Besides, Ari did quite like Sylvia; but she did not wish for the woman to be in a great deal of pain during a night in which they should be having fun. However, Ari was hoping that things would go well from here on out. Even so, Ari was waiting for Sylvia to hopefully give an answer. After all, Sylvia may not know Ari exceptionally well, but Ari was good at comforting others; and hopefully she could help Sylvia through whatever was making her sad tonight.

Like that, the movie was interrupted again, and Sylvia found the demon's face closer to hers than she might've been comfortable with. However, Arianda's words were sweet and comforting, and though the lump in her throat was giving her trouble, she found it difficult to resist sharing...

"Mein freund-" She stopped. That word had already caused confusion before. "Mein girlfriend, Vicky... Ve broke up." She swallowed to try and alleviate the growing blockage of emotion trying to escape from her, and gently brushed the demon's hand to assure her, "It's not... bad. I'm chust... I'fe nefer broken up vith someone before.

"I miss her." A heavy sigh passed her lips, and she wiped the bits of moisture from her eyes. A light giggle soon followed. "It's schtupid. Ve... Ve had nozing in common, besides music. That's vy ve broke up. I can't... stop thinking apout her."

Well, there had been another thing they shared, but she didn't think it appropriate to mention now.
