Operation Island Burst

Sayuri stepped through the Senkaimon with a shake of her head. 'Force authorized if need be' was never something she liked reading on a mission report, but given the circumstances, she understood. Menos-class Hollows was never a good thing to deal with, and as yet was something she hadn't been tested against. But when the call had come down for volunteers, she'd answered, in the interest of expanding her own knowledge of Hollows, as well as her experience with the Human world as a Shinigami. Menos-class were an enigma according to the books she'd been able to get her hands on, only stating that this particular class of Hollow was formed when several dozen Hollows - or more - were consumed by a single other. And the Vasto Lorde class... THOSE were something she did NOT want to tangle with if it could be helped. Not yet.

She nodded to the Shinigami in charge, a Vice Captain from the armband, and then slipped through the others that were milling there. She was on recon assignment at the moment, due to her own facility with Shunpo as well as innate speed. For now, she was under orders to observe and lend aid where needed.

For now, she simply contented herself studying the situation reports, her brows furrowed as she focused on them, finding a tree to lean against without too much shifting in the overgrowth, one hand fiddling with the handle of her Zanpakutō as she read, glancing up each time a new Shinigami came through the Senkaimon.

Renya sighed as he walked through the senkaimon, why did this happen to him? Apparently when he had skipped that meeting in favor of training, one of his comrades had volunteered him for this mission. He wished he could have strangled the man, but killing one’s comrade generally doesn’t sit well with others. Adjusting the red scarf that wound around his neck, the brown haired shinigami wondered to himself whether he would be of any use on this mission. He’d have to limit the amount of kido he used, he couldn’t let his secret out, not now. His metal arm came upwards, laying across his chest before his other, normal arm folded itself with the metal one across his chest. Green eyes looked out at the large force that had assembled. Deciding that crowds would definitely get his stress level up today, he walked over to a nearby wall, leaning against it as he closed his eyes. He had to figure out a solution, find a way to stop the issues he had with his kido. After a couple of minutes a soft sigh escaped his lips. Eyes opening once more, he raised his metal arm towards the sky, eyes staring at it mournfully.
