Taishoku Hikari

The best place to begin when telling a story is often the beginning, Taishoku as he is known as born to a Shinigami mother and human father. The two loved one another enough and got permission to have a child, but his mother was killed several months after his birth on a mission. His father raised him as his own, but blamed Taishoku on his mother's death. So he would abuse the infant when time allowed, it wasn't long before the abuse continued till he was five years old. His spiritual pressure was massive at a young age, enough so that it attracted hollows to Karakura Town. His father was killed by a hollow when Taishoku ran away, screaming he saw a monster. Many believed the boy killed his own father who'd slept with a random woman and had him. Leaving the man to deal with the demon child, but some saw the signs of abuse on the child. They saw that he'd gotten a broken nose at four years of age, showing that he'd been put through hell. He was the child from a broken home his only friend Christina an American born child living in Karakura remained close to him. She was the friend since the age of five, when he arrived at his first relative's house in Kyoto. This was the marking of the next journey for him, he was going to grow up here now. With Christina, he'd grown used to children staying away from him. Being that child that people called a murderer or a liar. It was something that never changed, the relatives he stayed with were drunks. Christina saw one day Taishoku had a black eye and was bleeding from his forehead. He lived in an environment that punished him constantly, he grew so used to pain he didn't react anymore at one point. At that house a lit cigarette was put out on his upper should and the child didn't scream. No one is quite sure how long the abuse went on for in these families. But a fact is known that he was passed around even the orphanages where the abuse did continue for sometime. Christina was moved away from him by her parents leaving him to endure the darkness of his years to come for long time periods. His life was painful and death was constant, by the age of ten the police had visited him several times. His claims of seeing monsters kill people had interested everyone, except the people who mattered. He lived this way for so long that it seemed like fate had abandoned him by the time he hit middle school, this is where Christina showed up again. He and her began dating rather quickly, she called him her treasured light. Things were finally looking up, the long sought affection was finally his. The darkness hadn't claimed him and the future looked bright, or so he thought. It was a night in the cold winter when it happened. He and her were walking home, heading to her parents. Her family were the closest thing he had to family.

Taishoku and her were attacked by a powerful hollow, despite his best efforts to protect her the hollow killed Christina. She died in his arms, the cops took him for murder as the past problems were considered an issue. But something had broken, the last light that he had endured. They were going to get married, she wore a ring and happiness was clear. His very nature seemed defeated, guilty, and filled with self hatred. Taishoku hated himself so much that he refused food or water. The police themselves were baffled at how he tortured himself, stains of blood could be found on the wall. He'd pounded his fist on the walls, screaming till his voice gave out and blood came from it. He was walking scars almost when they took off his clothing, this young man had been put through hell at a young age. The questions raised and continued as they grilled him about who killed the girl. Taishoku's response was simple and destroyed again, for the first time in his life. "You wouldn't believe me, do whatever you want to me, it won't be enough so I'll do it myself." He didn't intend suicide, this depression and torture and blaming of himself. Had an odd effect, because the police had to let him go soon after. Another incident Christina's parents were killed by the same hollow, Taishoku swore revenge on hollow kind. He was just getting out of high school when he lost her, they'd been together so long. He didn't have anywhere to go so he lived on the street's of Karakura where he'd been a student. He was a genius, brilliant and able to figure out the hardest things put before him. But knowledge was something that was constantly evolving it wasn't just a one day and your better, it was time and Taishoku stopped caring. Stopped talking, he found a tree to eat dried persimmon under this allowed him time, it was here he made his first meeting of a Shinigami. It was here that Taishoku would begin to experience a real and true change. This was the beginning of something new, the woman had orange hair and was well let's say gifted was an understatement.
