Drops and Lights - Page 2 Tol0JGb

Takeshi could almost feel the beads of sweat that wanted to fall.

Although, he kept his composure, his eyes squinted so much that they seemed closed. Nobody saw his eyes, simply because he wasn't able to open them naturally. Something was holding them to these sorts of position, or for him to wear covering eyewear. One day, he'll figure it out, but in his normal, typical life, there was no room to find it. He shifted the gifted blade to his other hand, leaving his dominant one open for anything. After all, the sense of something else, of something more, was still twitching. Underneath his veins, he could almost feel something pulse. Whatever pressure this guy had, it was wrecking havoc on him - despite it being pulled down enough for Takeshi to still stand and be normal....

It was like a weight, pulling at the back of his mind.

The male's words pulled him out of his thoughts. Takeshi, though usually apathetic, was paying attention and committing to memory each word. The question he had asked - it had been very personal to him. There were only them two that knew the question to the human's soul - and that was something that even lovers wouldn't share. That bond of trust - there was something similar, something that Takeshi could almost grasp, but he'd have to open his eyes more, and he can't, so it slips away like smoke at night - was something that was new. And perhaps it was just something manufactured out of a moment of weakness. But whatever it was, Takeshi held faith, and he held trust towards a being.

Perhaps it was the demon brat's fault, simply because of their own bond.

Even now, he felt a faint echo of the kid within himself. His gaze was curious, unbroken as so far anyone could tell from the squinting, and he listened. Part of him would probably rebel against some of the words later, but for now, he listened. His eyes shifted when the male before him pulled something else out. A torn, battered sword. Something about it took his breath - in a way, it was beautiful. Eerily beautiful indeed, as if he was staring a possible death in the face. And that was what the blade had done, and yet there it was. The man turned to him, and moved towards him with the blade. Takeshi didn't even have to listen to obey, he just instinctively threw his hand out, letting the blade slip into it. Two blades - and his gaze returned to the man, and he saw for a moment, what perhaps nobody else had.

Whatever it was, Takeshi sent out a rare smile in return, even as the man vanished.

A shaky breath escaping from him, the male fell onto his bum. His legs were quivering, his heart was moving fast, and he let out another explosive breath. He sat there for some time, before he stood up, and began to make his way back home, realizing just how late it was - and how he needed to fix the rope still at his apartment from his last visitor. The male stopped, and looked over the area, the memories flashing in his mind briefly. With a final nod, he finally walked out, calmly making his way back to his normal life. Although now, there was something else underneath that layer, as he carried the blades together, the wooden one hiding the destroyed one. He had to do something, if his normal life wasn't going to exist. He knew was on the cusp of that choice.

For a bit longer however, he could keep to his quiet, normal time, couldn't he?
