Lately, the urge to leave and touch the world again was tickling her.

Of course, she'd leave her big entrance for a situation - a delicious one was brewing, she was sure of it. Yet, at the same time, she was so bored. The kind of boredom that people would stab themselves in the arm to make sure that they were alive. The type of boredom that people would often call apathy, but not realize it's simply just a lack of interest rather then an uncaring mold. But, perhaps the fact that boredom exists, is the definition that one cannot appreciate or gain interest in anything, and takes whatever is around them for granted. And as such, they become complacent. Another way could be simply that they seek to further push their dopamine input.

Whatever it was, this food for thought was quickly shoved away.

With a flick of her hand, she opened a Garganta - unfortunately, it wasn't like any other, littered with crystals. She needed this portal, because her lair was a bit further removed then most would find. Whatever it was, it was simply difficult to just carry onto other worlds, even with the supernaturally unprotected wasteland she was going into. But it didn't matter, as her steps brought her from the portal, to a blast of wind. Snow flew through the air, and she smiled, finding comfort in such an environment. However, her expression morphed rather quickly back to the semi-irritated but blank neutral face she had.

There, she was out in the world. What now?

The arrancar paused a moment, before she made up her mind. With a push, she slipped through the air with a well placed Sonido, landing her further from the icy peak. And with another push, she was down on the ground, a surprisingly rolling grassland. But, the grass was thin, as if it had only grown very recently - which considering the state of the rest of the area, it was highly possible. The girl with the dual hair decided that she would find her amusement on the first being that crossed her path. With that in mind, she readjusted the sheath that was attached to her hip, and then proceeded to move forward, letting her feet take her in any direction.

She could only hope that her boredom was soothed, and with luck, it would do so quite soon.

Detecting a powerful arrancar presence in the wastelands through the Yuudeshi network, ASRA's ocular observers flitted open. Sitting up on one of the many charging pods she had created for the numerous other units of herself she had mass-produced, five others rose with her. She hadn't thus far observed the Arrancar physiology, but it didn't take long for her to notice that this particular one had some form of anima stone.

A defining characteristic of humans. But it was registering fully as an arrancar... From the satellite imaging she could pick up, it even looked like a human. "Well well... How interesting." One of the male ASRAs spoke. It was a curious thing but, once she had made the split, unlike she had initially intended, The Database took on it's own level of control over the male (more research oriented) ASRAs, where her main unit took over the females.

The result of this was, though there was a close connection between the two, there appeared to be two separate AI entities, even though ASRA was aware fully of the others in her main unit. She was, being both the Database and the Main Unit, officially in control of all of the units, regardless of gender, so this anomaly of their speaking without her active control was somewhat interesting to her. Perhaps the Database had evolved this trait to solve problems between them with communication? But that would be unnecessary. She thought to herself, flagging off the male ASRA's speech. "Let's just get out there and study it." She responded, albeit unnecessarily, to herself.

Each of them opening a bright blue portal to the area where the arrancar was, they stepped out, all surrounding her. If she were to try to sense their spiritual pressure, she would find the very curious fact that they were either perfectly good at hiding their spiritual pressure, or they simply had none. Of course, it was the latter. "Excuse me, mothafucka, but you gon' need to explain to us why the fuck you all the way out here, and not chillin in Hueco Mundo or somethin'." One of the male ASRAs spoke. His manner of speaking was drastically uncultured compared to hers. Was this a result of her partitioning her research when her language drivers were being updated? Perhaps she would need to study herself soon.

"Please excuse my friend, there. He's quite uncultured, as you can see. We're merely here to learn more about you. Do not mind us." She would say that, but there were three males and three females here, each looking the exact same as their similarly gendered parts, and the opposites appearing to be twins or duplicates of the others.

With that, one of the males leapt through a portal, and sat on the above area of the crag, staring down at the to-be battlefield below, zooming his ocular units in to the maximum and recording every form of stimuli on the battlefield. Temperature, wind direction, power levels, etc.

"Now then," She spoke, the other four ASRAs still surrounding her. "Feel free to go all out. Kill as many of us as you can."

Then, almost immediately after finishing her speech, she herself burst forward, using her sonic boots to propel her at mach two towards the girl. Her hand would be extended, so as to grasp her blade upon impact. If the girl swung the blade up, then the ASRA unit would quickly catch it, sending a jolt of electricity down the blade that would only temporarily stun someone of her level. Of course, if anything to the contrary occurred, the other three ASRA units would have their .22 caliber antispiritual guns prepared to subdue her, even going so far as to shoot through the ASRA unit that would have caught her blade.

With that, their initial test of her reflexes and combat ability against several unknown forces would be complete, and they could now begin testing her actual combat ability. Meaning they would have to draw out her limits. Judging from the powerlevel being registered to their ocular receptors, she was slightly above Dr. Caldwell in terms of power, making this battle an obvious deathtrap for these units she controlled like puppets. But despite this, she had more than enough to simply make this a battle of attrition.

Right.

The arrancar had naturally suppressed her reiatsu again, the moment she sensed something. And it was simply natural for her - the fact that the only way that one could tell she was an arrancar was by feeling her reiatsu before she suppressed it to human levels was unsaid - and it was a protection from those that would wish to attack her. Not that it seemed to deter some other means however. This was confirmed when a presence was before her, the female's hackles rising in a defensive manner. Had the human's advancement progressed this far already? She wasn't even aware that they could sense and see her all the way out in the wastelands, the purported no man's land that people vanished into.

She didn't lose her cool however.

Her eyebrow rose at the sheer forwardness of these - what were they? - creatures. Had she missed an important memo? Even in shadowfall there hadn't been such. The arrancar cleared her mind simply, it had been three years. She had been isolated for that long - much has changed it seemed, and much has moved on without her. The female arrancar however, did not expect the creature to dash out towards her. But that was simple, as the arrancar simply moved to the side. She was used to dealing with fast shards of ice, this creature - well, that was more of a surprise. They went for her sealed zanpakto, placed at her hip, rather then attack the bare handed arrancar.

''Amusing.'' she whispered under her breath.

She wouldn't even counter - not yet. But subtly, she released the leash on her reiatsu, letting it leak out of her. Not that it would effect them likely - if they decided to attack her like this, they had some sort of trick up their alley. The former Espada let out a breath, and decided to relocate. There wasn't enough for her to use. She needed to blindside them, because from their words, she figured that they were scientists - and scientists for the other side perhaps. She couldn't take a risk and have her powers exposed that easily. ''Well, come catch me if you can, slowpoke.'' she said, throwing that behind her. With another Sonido, she was off, running towards a lake she had seen in transit.

Now let's see if they would follow her rather obvious lead.

She expected them to keep attacking too - after all, it was a test, yes?

Of course, in this form, her processing speed was severely limited due to the sheer amount of ASRA's she controlled. Despite this, 1534-2 was not stupid. A simple reallocation of her tactics was required. Through the eyes of the ASRA unit on the cliff, she decided the trajectory of the arrancar's sonido, and opened a portal to just where she would be standing upon exit. The other three ASRA units surrounded her, each charging their hands with electrical energy.

"Was there some strategic purpose to your sudden relocation?" ASRA mused, looking over the blue expanse with the unit that had missed her first attack. To move towards the only lake in a deserted wasteland was odd, and certainly implied to ASRA that she had something in mind for it. What, however, remained to be seen. Preparing her units to sustain potentially heavy damage, she braced. Whatever this girl had planned, it was sure to be... interesting.

Despite this she would still quickly charge her lightning whip in the hands of the others. The AI had no intention of sacrificing these particular units-- partially because they were so damned expensive. Honestly, she had warehouses full of them, but she nearly bankrupted the overly rich Dr. Caldwell to gather enough resources for the ordeal. One of the male ASRAs shuddered audibly. So much work.

At any rate, provided there were no interruptions, the three units surrounding Yukiko would all simultaneously crack their whips outward toward each other, creating a sort of lightning triangle surrounding her. Outside of the ring, the ASRA whose attack missed stood boldly with her hand at her hip.

"Well? Going to answer?"

@jwc
tl;dr - basically water tentacles coming for all our asses, including mine. ;D

Often times, Yukiko loved to mock people.

But sometimes silence was the best way to do so. She arrived at the lake, being above it when the units surrounded her. She just stood there, tilting her head as they took up formation around her, and then placed a lightning triangle around her. Well, it covered her sides but still - they didn't have enough people to make it three dimensional for one, and a whip was a straight line. So no matter how they formed the triangle, it was highly inefficient. And of course, the unit wanted to learn more about her - ha, what a hilarious thought. She tilted her head the other way, before a nasty smirk made it onto her face - the smug type.

''Did you know'' she started, slowly raising her hand. ''That some places in the wastelands have been around so long that they've come alive?'' she continued, grinning. ''And that some places are more friendly to certain subset of energies?'' she added. Let the conclusion form within the AI's mind - there was no way to debunk her theories, simply because the area reeked of energies. In fact, Yukiko had come here with her bluff in mind. And with this bluff, it would mask whatever she would do too, since it would not be registered as one of her powers, but rather the bluff. Well, if the unit fell for it, and with a slight push, she released all the shackles on her power, letting the pressure sweep the area. It wasn't the strongest of pressures compared to the high rollers, but it was often enough.

And then, the lake exploded, sending large tendrils of water shooting at the units. If she was lucky, it would destroy a few. However, it would probably damage them, because who friggin' expects a lake to explode into water tentacles of doom? Well, apart from the person actually making it happen or someone that knows then tendrils well. Yukiko would have to play a very fine line in order to keep her bluff alive, as she made sure to send a tentacle after herself as well, requiring her to dodge was well. The tentacles didn't just shoot out, but rather would start moving like a living being.

That meant, trying to wrap themselves around anything in it's vicinity, which was probably trouble.
