THE HISTORY OF THE SUGIURANS


THE SUGIURA BACKGROUND


I. What are the Sugiura?


Sugiura were, for a long time, considered a mutation of Shinigami, and it was a lie that they, themselves, encouraged rather wholeheartedly. However that misconception spawned because there was no other real explanation that the rest of the races in the Platinum Hearts universe had to describe them. Unlike the Spiritual energy of the Shinigami or the life energy of the humans or even the Demonic energy of the...well, demons, the Sugiura functioned with something entirely different. They didn’t draw from something mystical, something spiritual, they drew from something entirely mental. The Sugiura utilized Psions, or thought energy, to fuel their bodies and spirits. Because the rest of the world couldn’t really identify what they were, they defaulted to what they were most familiar with, Reiatsu.

So they were explained away as a mutated off-shoot of the Shinigamis, something they embraced to blend into the world around them. The truth however was entirely different. The Sugiura are not of the Shinigami, in fact they are not even native residents of the Multi-verse we have come to call home. The Sugiurans, as a species and a dimension, came to this world through an act that they have coined the “Schism.” The Sugiurans forcibly ripped themselves from their own world and came to our own, fleeing from a race they refer to as the Tig-Ani. They are a species that is heavily driven by thought and cognitive development and as such every Sugiura, by a certain age, finds themselves inexplicably drawn to a cognitive concept, an idea. While at the outset this seems similar to the conceptual state of the Danava, being beings who are literally the embodiment of something, the Sugiuras are not an embodiment of the idea, however they subconsciously are driven to that thought almost like a moth to the flame. The ideas can range from abstract concepts such as Gluttony, Deceit or Courage to something as mundane as Laughter.

The Sugiura themselves are further segregated into three groups or subclasses. The first and most populated Sub-class is the Soldier. These Sugiurans are the front-line and prototypical warrior of the Sugiuran people. They have functional knowledge of magic and utilization of their Sacred Weapons, but their primary strength is their ability to completely remove the physical limitations on their body and push themselves into new releases and stages of power. The second group is the Augurers or, as they’re conventionally known, the Magus. These Sugiurans dedicate themselves entirely to the craft of magic, usually both Ancient and Modern. The third sub-class is the Symbiote who is, in and of itself, the presently least populated and the most unique branch. The Symbiote learns to derive its powers and abilities from their bond with their guardian beast, a race as old as the Sugiurans themselves.


I. Guardian Beasts


The species now known as the Guardian Beasts are were once much different. They were creatures from the original Sugiuran Multi-verse that were, at the time, the masters of their own realm. However, when the Tig-Ani arrived, the Guardian Beasts, or the Genshou and the Eirei as they were previously known, were chased from their homes and while they were among the first races brought down by the Tig-Ani, they are the only ones apart from the Sugiurans themselves who still persist today. Occupying the Southern Region of Zha’til, the Guardians Beasts are a strongly empathic species. At birth, a Guardian Beast will strongly resonate with an idea or a concept and their being will be shifted toward that idea or concept. Unlike the Sugiurans, who resonate with an abstract concept like Gluttony, Love, Greed, Deceit, the Guardian Beasts resonate with specific stories or heroic beings. They resonate with the feelings of admiration, of love, of fear towards something and will, innately at birth, begin to form in their image.

For a long time, the Guardians Beasts were a required component of the what was commonly known as a Sugiura. When the Sugiura first made the jump to this universe, they found that being stripped away from their own realm and being thrust into another one had fundamentally weakened them as a species. A new atmosphere, a new world and one they were not familiar with at that, had rendered them a mere shell of their former selves. However there was one saving grace. While the Sugiurans themselves were weakened, the empathic abilities of the Guardian Beasts persisted and thus an odd partnership was formed. In limited windows, the Guardian Beasts were able to catalyze the Sugiura’s internal power that was stripped from them upon the departure from their world. As such, partnership with a Guardian Beast was long paramount to a Sugiuran’s ability to function.

The shifting times and the Sugiura naturally evolving to deal with their new climate have made this partnership less necessary, but Guardian Beasts in general are still held in very high esteem for the services they’ve paid in the past and some still maintain the time honored tradition of fighting a Sugiura being a two verus one affair. The Guardian Beasts inhabit the southern region of Zha’til.

I. Sacred Weapon


A Sacred Weapon is a weapon of a Sugiura that they use to intune themselves with the energy radiating from their mother realm and as a means to intune and inter Psionic energy. The weapon is not necessarily a weapon. Rather, it is a catalyst to release. It can take the form of a weapon, but it is truly a physical or metaphysical system used to release their power. The Sacred is something that's akin to a Zanpakutō in that it's soul bound to a person and typically is the visible bond of not only the origin, but in most cases of the accepting of the Guardian Beast's powers to assist their own natural powers from their origin. A Sacred does more than just be a catalyst to release and funnel energy energy, it's also the way where they learn more about the connection to Psions they have, and what they can do to become stronger in terms of gaining power.

I. Mystic Eyes


A trait that was original reserved solely for the highest of Sugiuran echelons with the recent advancements in the Sugiuran populace however, a Kyuu Kyou is no longer a requirement to manifest the trait known as Mystic Eyes. In addition, the widespread manifestation of the Mystic Eyes do not mirror the older and more exclusive trait and are instead more akin to the trait that Sugiurans held at their peak in their own world. Limited Causality Perception.

To the untrained eye, this ability almost seems like precognition, but instead of actually seeing the future, the Sugiuran is instead able to “read” a situation and instinctively will map out the most efficient and crucial actions and reactions that need to be taken to reach an optimal result. While it is not that different from how a normal person will calculate and react to a situation, the magnitude to which a Sugiuran is able to perform this action is astronomical. This trait makes the Sugiuran people absolutely devastating combatants due to their cognitive prowess and their planning abilities that draw straight from this capacity for perception in addition to the drastically increased reaction time that comes from this ability.

With each rank the Sugiuran takes in the Mystic Eyes parameter, the more clear and concise their ability to read causality becomes. At Master tier, the Sugiura’s Mystic Eyes will mutate. While retaining their capacity for Causality Perception, the individual eyes will form their own unique and personal individual power. At Grandmaster, the Sugiura’s Causality Perception is perfect and able to fully read and understand the world around them.

Sub-Class


The Soldier


I. What are Soldier Sugiura?


The Soldier is the most common sub-class of the Sugiuran people. They typically represent the foot soldiers of the Sugiuran people but also the generals and great heroes that litter the Sugiuran Lore are typically of this Sub-class. The Soldier uses his Psions and mental powers to forcibly elevate his body to levels that were otherwise impossible, channelling into their connection to their old universe and and further pushing themselves to what they were capable of before being forcibly cut off from their universe. These abilities are very akin to the traditional releases found in Shinigami and the similarities were part of why, originally, the Sugiurans were confused for Shinigami mutants. The different releases are known as the Denryoku no Sanbagarasu or the Triumvirate of Power.

Denryoku no Sanbagarasu (電力の三羽烏, Triumvirate of Power) is the name of the Sugiura's three releases of their power. The three releases are Joushou, Zenou, and Kyuu Kyou. Joushou (上昇, Ascending) is the Sugiura's first release. It can be compared to a Shinigami and Vizard's Joushou in terms of power and requires a tier of 3-3 to acquire.. Zenou (前王, Before the King) is the Sugiura's second release. It can be compared to an Arrancar's Ressureccion and a Shinigami's Bankai in terms of power and requires a 2-1 tier to acquire. It allows for more advanced powers of the Sugiura. Kyuu Kyou (仇供; lit. Pledged Revenge) is the Sugiura's final release. It is the final release and the only true side by side comparison available is a Shinigami’s Shikokai and requires a tier of 0-3 to achieve.

    Release Control: The depth to which the Soldier can control his releases.


I. What is Joushou (上昇, Ascending)


Joushou is the first form available to a Soldier Sugiura. This transformation is the rite of passage for Soldiers and is the first thing the Sugiura learns how to do upon declaring as a Soldier. This stage, the Joushou, is the culmination of 25% of the Sugiuran’s innate power that is awoken when the connection to Zha’til is strengthened.

At any rate, the actual effects of this ascension are not uniform, but generally result in some sort of change in appearance in the Sugiuran themselves. More often than not, the amount of Psions and Eidos that is produced within and without the Sugiuran will double to triple in quantity, potency and mass. This allows them to further their power and enhance their overall state of being by generally granting them augmentations in their racial abilities, sharpening their mind and making their general traits that much more fearsome when they engage their Joushou.

I. Joushou (上昇, Ascending) Tiers


The strength and abilities of the Sugiuran’s releases are dependent on the “Release” parameter that the Sugiura possesses. Consequently the Joushou of an individual Sugiura varies wildly from person to person.
    Beginner Joushou: The beginner level of the Solder’s Joushou is not terribly exciting. It is in fact rather generic. The Sugiuran taps in to the physical parameters that equate to 25% of what they would have held in their old universe but not much more than that. Making a Beginner in release control gain nothing more than physical boosts from the transformation. The user can only hold this form for three posts.

    Adept Joushou: This is where the Joushou actually begins to demonstrate its sense of power. With an adept release control, the Sugiura is able to tune in to the innate power that comes from the Soldier’s relation to their multi-verse allowing them to develop their unique abilities that come along with the Joushou transformation. With an Adept in release control, the Sugiura is able to maintain this form for eight posts.

    Advanced Joushou: This is considered to be a highly conditioned form of Joushou for Sugiura who are able to push themselves to this level of release. An advanced control allows the Sugiura to unlock this ascension and overcome more of the limitation of their previous advancement. For starters, the posting time in which an Advanced Joushou can remain on the field greatly increases to a sixteen duration post limit. On top of that, the abilities that they once had before will greatly improve to the point of becoming immensely potent. From all of their combat experiences, training and skills having increased along with their volume of cognitive energy; an Advanced Level Joushou commands respect wherever it goes and is considered to be a worthwhile asset to most organizations out there.

    Master Joushou: Nearing the maximum peak one can attain for a Joushou, when a Sugiura obtains a Mastered Joushou they will be considered top tier practitioners of this release. As a result, they will ascend past the limitations of their counterparts who are beneath them in this field. A Master in Release Control can pull enough mental energy within the core of their being and from their home realm to have the capacity to sustain their Joushou for roughly thirty seven posts without much of a problem. Though, of course, they'll be able to be forced out of it after taking damage and it may weaken over the duration of the fight; it's still an impressive feat to behold. Not only that, but their abilities, powers and so forth will be taken to a new plateau of strength as they may forge more complicated attributes to their Joushou and they'll most likely see quadruple the effects in their augmentation as they ascend to this form in all of the Sugiura's racial skills, general skills and their special abilities. It's even able to rival some weaker secondary releases for all intents and purposes; making it quite the lethal and fearsome transformation to deal with on the battlefield against all those who oppose Master-Level Joushou users.

    Grand Master Joushou: This is often known as the absolute pinnacle of a Joushou. When a Sugiuran is able to reach the status of Grand Master in release control, they have full control over almost every single function of their release form. This means they possess every fiber of knowledge, every possible limitation and know the mechanics of how their released state functions like the back of their hand. This will result in a massive burst in augmentation on par with other secondary releases, extremely complex abilities and immense levels of mental energy to radiate from the very atoms of the Sugiuran’s existence. Therefore, a Grand Master Joushou will be considered a Legendary Joushou of sorts by those whom are able to wield them. They also will have removed the need for a post duration; as they have to take a sufficient amount of damage to be forced back into their sealed state. Making them quite the formidable foes to deal with in the line of combat when these release forms are unleashed against all those who dare oppose them.

I. What is Zenou (前王, Before the King)


The Zenou is the secondary release of the Sugiura Soldier, roughly being equated to that of an Arrancar’s Ressurecion or a Shinigami’s Bankai. This stage, the Zenou, is the culmination of 50% of the Sugiuran’s innate power that is awoken when the connection to Zha’til is strengthened.

The effects of this ascension are not uniform, but generally result in some sort of change in appearance in the Sugiuran themselves. More often than not, the amount of Psions and Eidos that is produced within and without the Sugiuran will drastically increase anywhere from five to ten times in quantity, potency and mass. This allows them to further their power and enhance their overall state of being by generally granting them augmentations in their racial abilities, sharpening their mind and making their general traits that much more fearsome when they engage their Zenou. There is a drastic and rather evident difference in the sheer magnitude of ability and power. Like the Joushou, the Zenou’s potency also varies wildly between the different skill levels of the individual Sugiura

I. Zenou (前王, Before the King) Tiers


Much like Joushou-Levels, Zenou levels are used to evaluate one's possible strength and power that a Zenou possess from the amount of Psions that Sugiura can channel in to their connection to their home universe. Depending on the skill of the Sugiura’s release control will determine just how potent their Zenou is.
    Beginner Zenou: The beginner level of the Solder’s Zenou is, like the Joushou, not terribly exciting. It is in fact rather generic. The Sugiuran taps in to the physical parameters that equate to 50% of what they would have held in their old universe but not much more than that. Making a Beginner in release control gain nothing more than physical boosts from the transformation. The user can only hold this form for three posts.

    Adept Zenou: This is where the Zenou actually begins to demonstrate its sense of power. I. What is Kyuu Kyou (仇供; lit. Pledged Revenge)


This is the third and final possible form that a Sugiura can enter in to. Considered to be the True Final Form of the Soldier. This form is the closest to their true form in their own dimension and is 99% of what the Sugiuran Soldier is truly capable of. In this form, the Sugiuran Soldier is dramatically, dramatically more terrifying an opponent. In order to even achieve this level however, the Sugiura must undergo an absolutely ridiculous amount to reach this form.

The first stage, the Joushou, is the first time where the Soldier begins to tap in to the energies of their home realm. It is the first inkling of power that the Soldier receives. The second stage, the Zenou, draws more from that energy and fashions that in to a true weapon. Whenever the Sugiura tries to not drink from that energy, to not use that energy as a weapon, but to truly BE that energy. The Sugiuran needs to completely and utterly merge with the energy they can siphon from their long estranged home realm, a feat that is terribly difficult at such a range and a feat that very few Soldiers will ever accomplish, either through a complete inability to achieve these results or through inadvertantly killing themselves in the energy overload. However, if the transformation is achieved, the Sugiuran Soldier is a true menace on the battlefield and a true wonder to behold and a true homage to the once glorious race that the Sugiuran people once held claim to.

In any case, just like it's predecessors, the user will go through an initial alteration of their physical appearance. Rather it be through their physical body, their weapons or merely the aura that their body carries in and of itself. The sheer psionic energy their bodies emit is typically enough to terrify most beings and often times incapacitate the rest outright. The raw power that comes from entering this state pushes the Solder up to thirty times the parameters they would normally have, their speed, strength and durability all dramatically shooting through the roof.

Unfortunately, having been so far removed from their realm for such a long time has made this form very difficult to maintain for any period of time. Attempting to maintain this form past the time limit will, entirely, cause the Sugiuran’s body to begin incinerating on the spot, ranging from severe injury to death in a matter of moments. The duration of the Kyuu Kyou varies depending upon the skill of the user.

I. Kyuu Kyou (仇供; lit. Pledged Revenge) Tiers


Just like the Joushou and Zenou, the Kyuu Kyou’s potency varies with the user’s ability as well. However, only three stages are known to exist as any lower would never be able to achieve this state.
    Advanced Kyuu Kyou: This is the basic form of the Kyuu Kyou, which is a description that does not do the immensity of this form justice. With an advanced release control, the Sugiura is able to tune in to the innate power that comes from the Soldier’s relation to their multi-verse allowing them to develop their unique abilities that come along with the Kyuu Kyou transformation in addition to dramatically increasing their abilities by a factor of 30. The Soldier can maintain this form for three posts before being forced to disengage from it.

    Master Kyuu Kyou: This applies to Kyuu Kyou forms of Soldiers who have achieved a master rating in Release control. In it they will be able to hold it for seven posts before finally giving out and needing to disengage. Along with that, they'll be slightly stronger than the advanced release; roughly 25% more.

    Grandmaster Kyuu Kyou: The Grandmaster Kyuu Kyou in times long past was the requirement for the Body to be able to maintain in order to achieve the position. Lately however, it is merely the stuff of legends. A Grandmaster in release control will be able to hold their release for twelve posts before giving out due to the immense strain the energy places on the Soldier’s body. Along with that, a Kyuu Kyou which ascends to the ranks of Grandmaster will be able to have a 25% higher potency for augmentation and power than it's predecessor as well. Truly defining what it means to fight against a dimensional spanning legend.

Sub-Class


The Symbiote


I. What are the Symbiote Sugiura?


For the longest time, a partnership with a Guardian Beast was all but required for the majority of the Sugiuran populace. They were required to be the Sugiuran’s funnel to their home realm. However, with the recent advances in Sugiuran biology and adaptation, the role of the Guardian Beast has been heavily diminished. It has not, however, been entirely forgotten. A small sub-set of the Sugiuran populace, instead of reducing the use of their Guardian Beasts, have instead decided to embrace them fully, intentionally or otherwise.

The separation led to the rise of the class known as the Symbiote. Every symbiote is branded with a mark bestowed upon them by their Guardian Beast. Often these unions are with consent but that is hardly necessary. When this mark is placed upon a Sugiuran, their connection to their home realm is tampered with, prohibiting them from pursuing the life of a Soldier and the conjoined thoughts forever limiting their capacity to funnel psions, keeping them barred from the path of the Magus. Instead, the Symbiote gains something arguably even more valuable. They will never have to fight alone again.

Fighting a Symbiote is never an even fight. Instead of the previous incarnation, where a Sugiuran’s Guardian Beast served little more purpose than to fuel their releases, a Symbiote’s relationship with their Guardian Beast(s) affords the Beast far more individuality and autonomy. They are, in and of themselves, very much their own characters and will typically have skills and powers all on their own. Consequently, a Symbiote’s worth is typically evaluated by how well they can work in conjunction with their Guardian Beast in combat. Being able to host multiple beasts is possible, yet considered a true mark of Mastery over the skill of Resonance.

I. Resonating Signal


Whenever a Sugiuran is marked for symbiosis, the Guardian Beast will, inherently, impart special abilities on to the Sugiuran subject. These powers are typically not the Guardian Beast’s powers themselves but are instead the combination of the Sugiuran’s natural energy with the energy of the Beast, causing the first actual mutants amongst the Sugiuran populace. The resonating signal ability tends to be more powerful than an innate ability that another Sugiuran or even other races will posses, however only one is available per Guardian Beast.

I. Symbiote Modes


Instead of traditional releases, the Symbiotes have forms or modes. Both modes are available to the Symbiote upon being marked with the third mode being made available with either a Grandmaster in Resonance or a tier of 0-3 or higher.
    Flimkien: The Flimkien Stance epitomizes the “Divide and Conquer” mentality. The strength of the Flimkien stance is focused on the capacity of the Sugiura and the Beast to be separate, but still in sync as the two beings will fight as two separate characters(as the player, it’d be akin to fighting one person with two characters of your own). Unfortunately, due to the amount of inherent chemistry and synergy required between Beast and Sugiuran to effectively utilize this stance, Symbiotes with a low Resonance parameter tend to fail miserably at it, two out of sync teammates tend to be less than the sum of their parts. In this mode, the Guardian Beast has the full array of his abilities at his command and the Sugiuran has his Resonating Signal and other innate abilities at his, but using them in conjunction with each other is what will make or break success with this this style.

    Matul Ispiritu: The Matul Ispiritu is less about cooperation and more about direction. Instead of trying to work together as a unified body, the Symbiote instead will temporarily break down their Guardian Beast into pure psionic energy, Eidos, an initially incorporeal form. Then, using the Matul Ispiritu will take that Psionic energy and create and Arma, or the metaphysical construct of the Guardian Beast using a Sugiuran's Psions and a medium to gain corporeal properties. An Arma 'actualizes' the knowledge and abilities of a Guardian Beast and transforms them in to a living weapon in the more...conventional sense of the word weapon. They are composed entirely of corporeal Psionic energy.

    In this stance, the Guardian Beast’s powers will shift from being an autonomous source to catering more toward the activities of the Sugiuran, typically shifting toward the capacity to fight as one source instead of two and as such, a Guardian Beasts powers in the Matul Ispiritu stance are rather different than their abilities in the Flimkien stance. The higher the Sugiuran’s resonance with their Guardian Beast is, the stronger these abilities becomes, but it is nowhere near as essential as it is with the Flimkien, as the Sugiuran themselves is in control of all actions.

    Maxima Sindicat: This stance is the penultimate state of being for the Symbiote Sub-Class. Requiring either a ridiculous amount of power to fuel the fusion(0-3 and up) or complete and intimate understanding to be achieved between the Guardian Beast and the Sugiuran, the Maxima Sindicat is a complete combination of being between Sugiuran and Beast, truly becoming the Symbiote. In this stage, the strength of the resulting being is effectively the combined power of the Guardian Beast and Sugiuran in one shell. The Maxima Sindicat affords the union a combined front of all abilities both characters possess cranked up to ridiculous amounts from the overflowing energy present in the union, making the Symbiote an absolutely terrifying force when he is in this state. However, such energy output combined with the energy required to entirely fuse two beings together is unstable at best and world ending at worst, as such the form is only able to be held for five posts at maximum, being able to be extended to seven posts if used by a Grandmaster of Resonance.

The Magus


I. The Workings of a Magus


Manipulating Psions in order to perform miraculous feats, or magic as it is commonly known, is innate in every Sugiuran. Not being able to perform magic at all is typically seen as a sort of mental illness, sort of like being unable to perform simple multiplication or spell “Definitely” correctly. Common mental illnesses. However, while a Sugiuran might wield magic like a human wields a sword, the Magus turns that magic into a beautiful display of martial might and incredible power. As opposed to the Soldier, who spends most of their training attempting to attune to a world long lost for their power, the Magus focuses on the power already available to them and in turn, they have typically much, much higher Psion counts than other Sugiura. As such, in addition to being able to learn more complex spells at a faster rate than the rest of their species, they are able to cast more spells without tiring and the spells themselves are given 25% increased potency over their less Magi cousins, excluding the S-ranks.

The most distinguishing factor of a Magus Sugiura however is their instinctive trait, their Magecraft. Unlike other Sugiurans, whose magical capabilities are loosely spread out across both modern and occasionally ancient magic, a Magus is a highly specialized mage, having a separate skill for both Ancient Magic and Modern magic. However, to compensate for this split dichotomy, each individual rank in the Magus skill sheet DRASTICALLY improves the capability of that branch of spells. An Oscillating Mine used by a Sugiura with an Advanced in Magic would have about a third of the power of a Magus Sugiura with an Advanced in Modern magic.

On top of that, once a Sugiuran Magus reaches Advanced in one of the fields of magic, they are able to develop a Magecraft. A Magecraft is a unique and typically passive, though not necessarily, means with which to augment their spells. These magecrafts typically carry absolutely devastating augmentations to even the most common spells and are typically the unique stamp that a Magus Sugiura attempts to stamp as their signature on the world.

THE SUGIURA MAGIC


I. What Are Psions


Psions, or Thought Particles, are substance-less particles that come under the dimension of psychic phenomenon, an information element that records the result of cognizance and thought. They are similar to Chi Particles in that Chi is the manifestation of the bodily and spiritual energies in the world, representing the body while Psions are the particle manifestations of intention and thought, representing the mind and the psyche. Most Sugiura, if not all, can see Psions being used.

Sugiurans use these Psions for a multitude of purposes ranging from the construction of spells, or Eidos, through channeling their abilities through a Sacred Weapon or using the Psions to synergize with and maintain the symbiotic relationship with a Guardian Beast, consequently making Psion the native energy of the Suiguran People.

I. What Are Eidos


Eidos refers to the Psion information body of a phenomenon. The usage of Sugiuran Magic refers to the modification of a target's phenomena by modifying its Eidos, hence producing the results. The magic ritual targets the Eidos, overwriting the information of the target. Information is associated with events, and when information is overwritten the event changes, resulting in modifications of real world events. Sugiurans use magic to create false signals to manipulate and rewrite the Eidos of a target and not because they can exert their will to control the Eidos itself.
However, because the limitless possibilities that can come from this form of magic, the potential for failure is astronomical. Attempting to rewrite the core programming of reality itself is an incredibly thought consuming and Psion consuming process and when done in its purest form is both incredibly damaging to the user, but it is also very difficult to produce the desired effect. Attempting to do Sugiuran Magic blind is akin to attempting to search the Pacific Ocean for a Hairpin using only your eyes. You are never going to find it, you’ll only tire yourself out immeasurably trying and if you search for too long, the ocean is suddenly lava.

As such, Sugiurans have developed a means to pinpoint the desired effect through an alphanumeric system known as a Magic Sequence. A Magic Sequence is an information body constructed from a Sugiuran's Psions. When a Magic Sequence interferes with, and overwrites, an Eidos, it can alter real-world phenomena and this allows the Sugiuran magician to insert an already desired effect upon the world with a predefined calculation instead of searching around for it randomly. While theoretically forcing the magician to conform to a specific pattern and limiting the hypothetical flexibility of Sugiuran Magic, it does make their abilities actually practical. These sequences can be canted out loud to influence the physical world or they can, as is typically done, channeled through the Sugiuran’s Sacred Weapon.

Spells and their accompanying Magic Sequences are graded on an alphabetical scale ranging from E-A based on their potency, utility, and general difficulty of use and exertion required. The capacity to perform abilities is directly tied to the Sugiuran Magic statistic.

I. Modern Magic


The predominant form of magic for most of the Sugiuran Populace, Modern Magic uses the Sugiuran’s Sacred Weapon as a catalyst to insert the Magic Sequence through time and space and influence the Eidos through the Sacred Weapon. This is the more systemic version of magic and consequently has heavy emphasis on speed and efficiency, most magic sequences being rather easy to activate as the sacred weapon serves to quick generate the desired effects.

Modern Magic is broken down into four subsets that, ultimately, encompass the entirety of “Modern Magic.” These four subsets are as follows:

Speed and Weight/Mass: Speed Magic involves speeding up or slowing downa target, hence its name. A Sugiuran can also use personal Speed Magic, allowing him to move at speeds surpassing conventional limits and even generating similar effects to a Shinigami Shunpo. Speed Magic directly alters the inertia of an object. Consider this as changing the momentum of a moving object. Weight Magic involves the weight of objects, reducing or increasing it. It can help reduce the gravitational pull and allow for jumps that travel 100 yards.

Movement and Oscillation: Movement Magic involves altering an object's velocity and path. Through Movement Magic, an object can change directions or completely stop in its tracks. The difference between Movement Magic and Speed Magic is that Movement Magic does not affect the inertia of an object. If an egg were subjected to only Movement magic, it would break itself apart because of the inertia inside the egg even though it has technically stopped moving. Oscillation Magic involves the vibration of targets. Waves can be produced, controlled and dampened with this magic.

Converge and Disperse: Convergence Magic involves selectively isolating targets within a target area. It can create a space where carbon dioxide gathers in the center, while all other gasses are pushed out, for example. Dispersal Type Magic is defined as magic that interferes with the movement and interaction of elementary and composite particles. Magic that manipulate gamma rays is categorized as Dispersal Type Magic because the magic interferes with light particles, again, for example.

Absorb and Release: Absorb Magic affects the interaction between particles and energy. For example, absorption magic can affect how much light an object absorbs (can alter colors) or even how much oxygen iron absorbs to form rust. Absorption Magic that stops carbon particles from interacting with heat and light and instead forces it to react with oxygen to create carbon dioxide. Release Systematic Magic interferes with the movement and interaction of subatomic and composite particles.

    Effect: Hale Particles is a Speed Type Magic that turns air molecules into ice particles, and then applies acceleration at sub-sonic levels. It is a highly efficient magic, unfortunately becoming less efficient and requiring more power when used in arid conditions. This is a basic spell that almost every magician understands and can utilize

    Type: Modern

    Rank: D
    Effect: This technique doesn't view the sword to be cast from iron and steel, but identifies the "sword" itself as a concept of applied Movement Type Magic to allow the slashing motion with the aid of the Magic Sequence. The "sword" is identified as a singular concept turned into a molecular blade that can't be shattered, blunted, or broken as if it were able to cut through any resistance along the slashing axis. Consequently, using this magic the Sugiuran is capable of turning any object in to an effective slashing weapon.

    Effect: is an area of effect spell that utilizes Convergence Type and Absorption Type magic. Mirror Cage works by setting a target as the origin, causing every light source within a five meter radius to be reversed, so that no outside light can penetrate the area surrounding the target, which results in a pitch black prison.

    Effect: Oscillation Mine is an Oscillation Type magic that liquefies the ground with oscillation magic in order to solidify it by evaporating the moisture. The rapid transition between condensed hydrogen gas to expanding hydrogen gas leads to an unstable compound beneath the ground, causing anyone who applies pressure to the location to cause the ground beneath themselves to explode, violently.

    Rank: D
    Effect: Phantom Blow is a flashy but intangible attack that can incapacitate the opponent by causing concussive-like symptoms using a single Psion shock-wave. Usually triggered through a snap of the fingers or a swing of a Sacred Weapon, the magician can send this spell toward an opponent like a projectile, roughly equivalent to the speed of a bala.

    Subset: Combination [Speed/Weight]

    Effect: A Speed-Type/Weight-Type Magic that first minimizes the inertia of the user and the weapon while closing in on the target at high speed. Then this hidden sword technique transfers all of the stored inertia from the user and weapon movements to the point of contact with the target. This is the Sugiuran Equivalent of the Shunpo with the added effect of being specifically designed to be transitioned into an offensive strike, sacrificing some maneuverability that the Shunpo normally affords for the added devastation that comes from the Yamatsunami’s capacity for offense.

I. C-Ranked Modern Magic

    Name: Active Air Mine
    Type: Modern
    Subset: Oscillating
    Rank: C
    Effect: This spell manipulates the Eidos around a target zone of space up to twenty meters away from the caster. The user will then set up a ten meter cube as a spatial zone and then the Activation Sequence sets another cube within this which is five meters on each side, with the vertices and the center, nine points in total, being designated as epicenters. Active Air Mine enables the user to tag all solids that enter the Magic Activation Zone with magical vibratory waves. By generating compression waves inside the target zone, it undergoes repeated partial expansion and contraction. The rapid heating and cooling is repeated and hence, even solid rock weakens and collapses, allowing the user to generate repeated concussive and degradating blows to targets inside the target zone, akin to being repeatedly punched.
    The user can either consciously trigger each blow inside the zone, or he can use it in a more automatic, trap-like capacity. This magic sets numerous epicenters within the area where the targets are present, which generates virtual waves that give rise to vibratory waves within the targets. Instead of directly applying the waves to the targets with magic, the user sets up an area which causes the phenomena of applying such waves to the targets. The moment the waves from the epicenter come into contact with such a target, the virtual waves become real waves within the target and affect it in reality.

    Effect: The Air Bullet spell, uses magic to generate pockets of hyper compressed air, collectively concentrating the carbon dioxide and nitrogen in the air into small bullets. The magician can then jettison the bullets of compressed air at a target and releasing the metaphorical pressure valve at the target location, generating a massive explosion at the location, the turbulent gases and pressure exploding outward. This is a popular and effective mid to long range weapon for Sugiurans due to its ease of use and potent destructive properties.

    Effect: Multiple bounce doubly functions as a Speed Type and as a Reverse Speed Type Magic that takes advantage of the kinetic energy vectors. The first form of this technique doubles the velocity of an object in a specific instance, whether it be an arrow, a thrown weapon, or a sword swing. The latter variation of this technique does not make any precise adjustments to the target’s trajectory, but purely rejects all the targets back, simply reversing the trajectory and the accompanying force of an object back the way it came provided the magician’s magical skill is greater than the force of the incoming object.

    Effect: Phonon Maser is an Oscillation Type magic that raises the number of supersonic oscillations, to form a quantum heat ray, effectively generating a laser of pure super concentrated heat at a target. This is a Sugiuran Energy Beam Attack roughly equivalent to a Cero..

    Effect: Pressure Slash is a Weight Type Magic that that uses the gravitational force of an object and extends it further along the length of a weapon or object, up to double the objects length. The gravitational force that is extended from the tip of the object to form a thin repulsion field that can slice through anything it touches as if it were a hyper vibrated sword, making the user’s weapon all the more dangerous.

    Type: Modern
    Subset: Combination [Oscillation/Dispersal]
    Rank: C
    Effect: Slithering Sanders is a magic where stones of dry ice are produced and water vapor is condensed. This combination of magic that utilizes Oscillation Type and Dispersal Type Magic to melt the ice, creating a fog of carbon dioxide, which has high electrical conductivity through which a static charge is run through.

    Effect: Spark is a Release Type magic that forces out electrons from a substance and causes an electric discharge phenomenon. The magic target is usually the air molecules within a narrow range from the substance. Although ionization of this nature is a relatively common phenomenon, it requires a very high interference power because the magic affects the substance structure altering it. The targeted molecules are very limited when using this spell, consequently requiring immense focus to effectively hit with the spell.

I. B-Ranked Modern Magic

    Name: Air Armor
    Type: Modern
    Subset: Combination [Movement/Convergence]
    Rank: B
    Effect: The Air Armor, despite its name, is a more supplementary movement skill than it is a defensive technique. By setting three to five centimeters of air around his body as the target, the user is able to render the surface of his skin smoother, and lower the angle of physical penetration, effectively improving the body’s aerodynamic capabilities and accelerating their movement through the air. With this magic, the user is able to effectively elevate the tier of their speed parameter by one, however there is only so much improved Aerodynamic capability is...capable of consequently this spell cannot ascend one to Grandmaster territory.
    Name: Dancing Blades
    Type: Modern
    Subset: Oscillating
    Rank: B
    Effect: An intriguing spell, the Dancing Blade will first create a small membrane of Psion over the Eidos of an object. Then, the Magician user can cause this membrane to vibrate rapidly; creating an optical illusion that makes it look like the object the user applied the spell to is being viewed with “triple vision.” The triple images themselves are become quite tangible as well. The membrane is still incapable of being used in any defensive capacity, but it will effectively triple the effect of any strike maneuver or concussive application of the item, typically used in synergy with the user’s Sacred weapon. For instance, if a stab would connect to the target’s midriff while under the effects of Dancing Blades, the victim would be effectively stabbed three times simultaneously.
    Name: Density Manipulation
    Type: Modern
    Subset: Convergence
    Rank: B
    Effect: The magic can manipulate the density of matter regardless of whether it is a solid, liquid, or gas. The potential applications of this are very far reaching. It can be used to create a high-pressure liquid flow by manipulating the density of a liquid. To reverse a liquids flow in order to defy the force of gravity.It can be used to manipulate the density of gases in the air to create strong gusts by releasing pressurized air. However, the Density Manipulation struggles upon organic tissue, typically being too compositionally complicated to effectively manipulate, typically restricting this spell to applications upon inorganic objects such as base gases, liquids and non-organic solids. However, the spell still retains remarkable flexibility from producing gusts of winds to funnels of water or increasing the molecular density of a weapon to improve combat viability.
    Name: Dry Blizzard
    Type: Modern
    Subset: Combination [Movement/Converge/Release]
    Rank: B
    Effect: Magic that collects the carbon dioxide in the air to produce particles of dry ice. The dry ice flies at high speed by converting the thermal energy produced by the freezing process into kinetic energy. The higher the temperature, the greater the velocity.
    Name: Freeze Flame
    Type: Modern
    Subset: Combination [Speed/Oscillation]
    Rank: B
    Effect: Freeze Flame is a Speed Type and Oscillation Type Wide Area Magic that can freeze even fire. It is a conceptual magic that prevents anything from burning. This magic can suppress the temperature of targets within a certain threshold. This ability is, however, very dependent on the user’s individual Psion count and general ability to exert that over another flame. While extinguishing a conventional flame is a simple matter, supernatural flames become a battle of wills and energy between the user and his opponent, tier and magical skill coming into play if the user wishes to extinguish the flames.
    Name: Interference Armor
    Type: Modern
    Subset: Movement Type

    Effect: is a Movement Type Wide Area Interference barrier that extends in a one meter radius when activated. By hyper accelerating the air particles around the user in a lightbulb-esque dome, the user is able to create a highly potent barrier that excels are blocking concussive and kinetic forces. Allowing the user to fulfill those aeronautical juggernaut dreams. However, maintaining the Interference Armor is a difficult endeavor and keeping it active for more than a few posts is unfeasible. In addition, the barrier is held close to the body, making maneuverability a challenge while the barrier is erected.
    Name: Invisible Bullet
    Type: Modern
    Subset: Weight
    Rank: B
    Effect: is a Weight Type Magic that has no need to define the altered phenomenon that is mandatory in normal Magic because the driving force itself has been defined with incredible precision, literally targeting a specific point in space. Under this condition, 'Invisible Bullet' has no need to rewrite the surface that force was applied on regardless of whether it was a wall, the surface, or even the human body. 'Invisible Bullet' is a magic that directly improves the force itself.
    Not rewriting the entire Eidos, the Magic Sequence needs to rewrite only the necessary portion is naturally going to be smaller. Because this is not altering the Eidos of the target itself, things such as barriers and energy constructs designed to repel concussive forces are inherently ineffective. Allowing the concussive force of the Invisible Bullet to completely and entirely ignore the defensive bonuses of things like Hierro or energy barriers.
    However, 'Invisible Bullet' is hampered by the absolute necessity of visual confirmation. Rather than relying on the Eidos, a direct confirmation of the object is a necessary, but ironic, handicap. Owing to this handicap, cover or any physical obstruction is a useful defense against the attacks from 'Invisible Bullet'.
    Name: Linear Sandstorm
    Type: Modern
    Subset: Combination: [Speed/Convergence]
    Rank: B
    Effect: Linear Sanstorm is a Speed Type and Convergence Type Compound Magic that creates a wide field of vision obscuring dust and dirt particles. The user will accelerate the movement of the dirt particles on the ground and raise them, where the first dust particle raised into the air becomes the epicenter of the sandstorm and the dirt and dust quickly begins rotating around that epicenter, constructing layers upon layers of complexity around it as it's spun around extending outward to a twenty meter radius dome around that epicenter. The sandstorm can lead to cuts and abrasions on the victims skin while obscuring their sense of vision and smell if they remain inside the Sandstorm.
    Name: Sonic Blade
    Type: Modern
    Subset: Oscillation

    Effect: Sonic Blade is a close-combat Oscillation Type Spell. The Sonic Blade spell can be applied to anything, giving the item the ability to cut easily and dramatically increases the cutting capacity of already bladed weapons, affording the weapons more penetration against shields, barriers, and defensive abilities such as Hierro. The item vibrates at extremely high frequencies, making it similar to a saw. The extremely high frequencies give rise to ultrasonic waves so practitioners of this technique often wear earplugs to block out ultrasound.

I. A-Ranked Modern Magic

    Effect: This magic functions by rewriting the Eidos of the target object and applying a massive Weight Type Magic on a single point. While this spell sounds simple in theory, it is incredibly demanding to both focus that much gravitational force and be able to exert the Psions required to generate that force, making this spell incredibly demanding on the user. It is compensated for this difficulty by being absolutely terrifying. If used on a person, the massively increased gravitational force being located on a singular surface would cause the person’s body to completely cave in on itself, being crushed by their own weight as their muscular and skeletal structure is unable to cope with the pressure. Due to the focus required to use this technique however, most conventional applications need to be applied through tactile administration.

    Effect: Inferno is a terrifyingly potent magic that works by dividing the target area into two sections and decreasing the kinetic and rotational energy of all objects within one section. This surplus energy can then be released into the other section in the form of heat. This way, conservation of energy is still maintained while applying the principle of reverse entropy from thermodynamics. This spell causes an absolutely devastating amount of heat to be released through the Eidos around a target area, up to a fifteen meter radius, heat that can quickly encroach upon Four Thousand Kelvin

    Type: Modern
    Subset: Oscillation
    Rank: A
    Effect: Niflheim is a Wide-Area Deceleration-Attribute Oscillation Type Magic and is one of the most terrifying forms of molecular deceleration or “Freezing” Magic. This technique ignores heat and appearance, using magic to uniformly decelerate all molecular bonds to cool down all the objects within a twenty meter area. As a result, a large mass of cold air which contains a fog of liquid nitrogen, diamond dust, and dry ice particles is formed that will rapidly accelerate from the caster. Anything that comes into contact with these particles will quickly have their molecular structure decelerate until it eventually “freezes” over, often times fatally.

    Name: Cocytus
    Type: Modern
    Subset: Outer-Systematic
    Rank: S
    Effect: Unlike the other Freezing Magics, this doesn't have a noticeable effect on the surface, such as frost or cold temperature. Rather than the targets’ physical bodies freezing, it is their consciousness or soul that is frozen. It can also be fathomed as a magic that froze the time of the realm of a target's soul. The spell, instead of freezing the conventional molecular particles such as hydrogen or carbon, the Cocytus freezes the very energy around it. Contact with the Cocytus freezes the victim’s Reiatsu, Chi, Chaos Energy, Demon Energy, whatever it is and freezes in to the very soul of the being itself. This spell even freezes the very nature of time itself for the victim. Using Eidos to freeze conventional molecules is difficult however, so the necessary mastery of magic and the consequential Psions exerted to perform Cocytus is astronomical, very few magicians ever have hope of reaching this type of power and even fewer have the potency to control it, making Cocytus more of a legend than a conventional spell.

    Type: Modern
    Subset: Convergence
    Rank: S
    Effect: It's a Convergence type Systematic magic, which controls the distribution of light in its area of effect. Its power is especially amplified in a closed space such as rooms or tunnels. The apparent process of this magic is that it first forms countless tiny balls of light floating in the darkened area, which are then shot out as rays. The attack appears like a shower of lasers, but the power of Meteor Line has no connection with the energy of the light. Even the amount of light is irrelevant. The essence of the magic lies in forcing the redistribution of light, where the coordinates for light to be in are set as little balls and lines are then drawn between them. Anything in the space the light passes through is modified as the light is transmitted: regardless of the hardness of the object, heat resistance, plasticity, or resilience; a hole is drilled through. Not even highly transparent glass holds an optical transparency of 100%, and cannot escape the event modification that 'light has passed through' and therefore 'a hole was made'.
    Looking at the logic behind this magic, rather than the phenomenon itself, it can be concluded that the magic interferes with the structural information of the object via the distribution of light, directly vaporizing solids and liquids without affecting heat or pressure; in other words a type of decomposition magic which decomposes targets into gas. Since it's defined as a 'ray of distributed light', it cannot be defended against via blocking, reflecting or refracting. Since the light doesn't come from any particular direction, it cannot be shielded against by magic either. Even if one were to cover themselves with a spherical shield in all directions, it cannot alter the movement of photons and the phenomena 'light has become a line' will still be produced, resulting in a hole, making this spell entirely and literally impossible to block through any conventional and most unconventional means. This form of manipulation of Eidos is INCREDIBLY difficult and this spell is single handedly the penultimate spell of the Sugiuran People and, like Cocytus, is more of a legend than an observable phenomenon.

    Subset: Dispersal

    Effect: Muspelheim is a ridiculously potent area of effect magic that decomposes gas molecules into plasma, and furthermore, by forcibly separating the ions from the electrons, creating a high energy electromagnetic field. When utilizing this spell, the magic will create an electro-magnetic field in a fifty meter radius with the caster as the central point. For the next five posts, the user of Muspelheim is capable of striking any spot in that radius with a bolt of high octane lightning. The action requires little more than a thought to execute making it very difficult to avoid the strikes and the user is capable of generating an indefinite amount during that five post time span.

    Type: Modern
    Subset: Movement
    Rank: S
    Effect: Phalanx is a Movement Type Defensive Magic that isn't simply a sustained magic barrier, but a multi-layered barrier that continuously refreshes itself that the user can erect around themselves like a kite shield. This is similar to a dense formation of heavy infantry that marches as one to increase the group's defensive power and then translates that power into offense.
    Even if the initial barrier falters, the one behind would simply replace it, to be continued to infinitude. The barriers are in constant motion within set boundaries, not necessarily in front of oneself, but rather dozens of barriers can be sent crashing at high speeds into the enemy. The defensive application, multiple barriers being erected simultaneously, is nearly impossible to break through given the incredible refresh rate, causing the only ways to actually get through the Phalanx are by attempting to go around it or by ignoring it entirely.

    Type: Modern
    Subset: Dispersal
    Rank: S
    Effect: Rupture is a magic designed solely for homicidal purposes and combative purposes. Rupture is a Dispersal Type, which evaporates all liquids within an object. In the case of living organisms, body fluids will evaporate and the body will explode with its red blood cells scattering outwards like a crimson flower blooming in the spring. All fuel will vaporize in internal combustion engines or fuel cells. Since nearly all machines have a fluid of some kind, such as lubricants, coolants, hydraulic fluids, oils, or battery fluids, they will instantly be destroyed by Explosion or simply stop working. This is the perfect magic for both anti-personnel and anti-armor combat.

    In order to utilize Rupture however, the magician needs to directly insert his Psions into an object, typically through touch to get the needed effect, which, while potent, limits the effectiveness of Rupture to close combat to truly be effective. In addition, the use of this technique requires incredibly pinpoint control. Making it absurdly difficult to master and utilize and usage of it is heavily restricted by the natural limits of a person’s mind.

I. Ancient Magic


Developed before Modern magic, Ancient Magic is capable of different things, most of it is specialized beyond the capabilities of modern magic. Generally, ancient magic is slower and more focused than modern magic, as practitioners do not use Sacred Weapons as the catalyst for their magic and instead use talismans and similar mediums to synthesize the effect. As well, back in the day, slower invocation speeds were prevalent, so magic sequences were often much more convoluted to prevent easy identification and negation of the spell. Ancient magic and modern magic use the same principle, use interference on data and rewriting the phenomenon, but are expressed in different ways. Consequently, Ancient Magic sacrifices a lot of speed and efficiency that Modern Magic utilizes but in turn, the longer sequences and redundancy tends to cause Ancient Magic to be considerably more potent, if a little less practical. Ancient Magic subsets tend to involve the invocation of spirits and other archaic forms of magecraft that, while potentially more powerful, lack the streamlined efficiency of their modern counterparts.

    Name: Boundary Field of Alert
    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: E
    Effect: A basic spell not suited for combat. It can be erected around a rather large area and will alert the user of anyone entering, unless they can completely mask both psions and visibility, since the field checks for both things. Nearly all Sugiura are able to at least protect their own home with one of those. If the user is asleep, he/she will instantly wake up once someone intrudes the field. This is an easy skill to learn and doesn't take long to master.

    Name: Boundary Field of Hiding
    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spirtual
    Rank: D
    Effect: Another basic shielding spell, this renders an object or person inside a seal on the ground, drawn out of the Psions of the user, invisible to the naked eye. However, the Psions can still be sensed, and the object/person is still there - noises can be heard, and the objects can still be touched. The largest recorded Boundary Field of Hiding at one time was big enough to fit Shimura’s mountain into it completely. It needs a constant supply of spiritual energy to stay active. This is an easier spell to learn, but it's not as easy as most so it takes a bit of time to use.

    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: D
    Effect: The Energy Petal Spell creates flower-petal shaped objects out of either sharp or exploding Psions and or material body energy, depending on the user. (A Wind user would have cutting ones, for example, while water would create exploding ones) They are then send out in a circular storm of petals, spreading over a large area. One of the most basic ways to attack as a Sugiura without the Sacred is this move. A very simple move to use in and out of battle. It's very quick to learn and to master therefore most sugiura have learned this spell.

    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual

    Effect: Sends out a single ray, similliar looking to light, but moving slower so that the movement can actually be seen. This move is ment to pierce a small area, perfect for pin-point attacks, but can't cause large damage, but can easily pierce through enhanced guards by energy as an example, if the person has the magical skill to make it strong enough to do that. It requires high accuracy and/or concentration to use this effectively, instead of high Psions like other spells. This is another easy spell to use in battle, but a bit more difficult to master.

    Effect: The user creates a shield of solidified light from their palm that splits apart energy attacks as they make contact with the shields surface, causing the energy to dissipate, it's a technique, that can be utilized in a similar manner to the Rho aiuas, Spell. This is one of the easier spells to learn doesn't take as long to learn.takes a longer time.

    Name: Burning Flower
    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: C
    Effect: An attacking magic that channels the user’s Psions into flower-petal like objects and vibrates them until they burst into flames, and then sending them out in a circular storm-like fashion. Depending on the user, these can look like rose petals, lotus petals, or any other flower imaginable. Some are even able to shape them like thorns. This spell is similar to the energy petals however has the added functionality of elemental additives and increased cutting power.
    Name: Coiled Silk Force
    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Physical
    Rank: C
    Effect: is based on traditional Chinese martial arts, it is a magic technique that uses the entire nervous system to create a spiraling force at the point of impact that serves as both an offense and a defense. The user will channel their Psions through their body and create a rotational, spiraling force of energy around their body. The most conventional use of this attack is to coat the user’s limbs with this energy and impressively increasing the puncturing power of physical attacks, akin to the difference between a musket ball and a conventional bullet. When used around the body, the user is able to deflect some of the force away from their body, dampening but by no means negating, incoming attacks.

    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual

    Effect: This creates a spiritual essence around the user, the essence is like a calming wind, but it contains very dissonant and powerful energy, that can burn the opponent or cause massive circulatory shock, within their form. it surrounds the user's body in a barrier field, of magic. in which any time they should try to strike, the attack or damage inflicted on the user, is then countered, inflicting damage onto them. it only last's for a few, and takes no use of psions, as the aura is mysterious, it only takes a calm mind,. the field, reaches to about 10 meters of the being, if the opponent can fire off long ranged attacks, and catch them off guard, the barrier is rendered useless. This is a medium level skill and as such takes not as long to learn but longer to master.
    Name: Steel Qigong
    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Physical
    Rank: C
    Effect: Steel Qigong is a magic technique that uses the body’s physical energies to layer the limbs or the body in a defensive, magical armor. When the armor is utilized around the body as a whole, the ability is equivalent to an Arrancar Hierro and its effectiveness scales with the Sugiuran’s Magic Ability. If it is used to reinforce the hands, the user is able to block all forms of spiritual and conventional weapons as if they were clashing with one of their own, allowing the user to stand toe to toe with an enemy Zanpakutō or Sacred Weapon as if their hands were made of the spiritual metal themselves. The technique involves covering the desired area of skin to be reinforced with a high density of Psion's, which fortifies the Eidos of the skin to incredible levels.

    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: C
    Effect: A sphere of water surrounds the target and pushes down on them with extreme forces, preventing them from moving correctly. The user, however, must hold the sphere intact using their arms as the centre of the sphere's shape and rotation. If they do not, the spell will break and free the one trapped within, however this elemental magic, can only be used if the user has a drop of, either their sweat, a drop of water, or something related to the use of water. they can use their Psions to heighten the size, to create large spheres.

    Name: Shitenoou Nanatsu no Enkan(熾天覆う七つの円環 Lit: The Seven Rings that Cover the Fiery Heavens)
    Type: Ancient
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: B
    Effect: often, called rho aias, by most this is a powerful defensive spell, that can only be utilized by mid-level to very high level sugiuras, as it takes a supply of high amounts of reaitsu to supplement it. It takes the form of a seven layered barrier with the shape of an iridescent flower with seven petals. Formed out of a Strong Reaitsu user's palm. Each layer has the defensive power of a fortress wall, however it is necessary for the user to fill the barrier with the use of strong reaitsu, should the barrier be broken, the user will feel pain in accordance. which depending on the number of times it is used, could be quite costly to the user, if they are not so much as an ounce careful in using this spell, with one with a full powered reaitsu, this could block off Strong Kido Spells, Gran rey cero's, or a cero oscuras, because of the massive defensive walls created, within each layer's structure. they can be broken depending on the strength, another use for this spell, can be used to help, block an attack before it reaches an ally, or when they need extra energy behind their attack. by doing so, they can utliize the spell, to block off the attack, on the opposite side of the opponent, while working as a extra layering around the allies attack. Nullifying the opponent's attack, so the ally can use their own, making it one of the sugiuras strongest defensive magic techniques, and as such takes a long time to learn let alone master.
    Name: Ten no Kusari(天の鎖Lit: Chain of Heaven)
    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: B
    Effect: said to hold the power of "commanding to gods". this creates a long spiritual chain out of any of the user's psions, they must also cut their arm and have a drop of blood run over the chain, in which the appearance now takes that of a real chain. It's a mid-level spell, that is best used for escape. by wrapping the chain around the opponent's entire body, it binds them and the use of moving their body. it grows stronger, in reply to how the energy of the binded opponent does, thus the larger their psions grow, the chain continues holding a powerful hold over their body, however it's main weakness is that, to an opponent with low psion count or people that can cloak their psions or energy, it is no more than a simple chain, and would be easier to break on someone of a lower tier than a higher tier. This is one of the more easier spells to learn.
    Name: Shimura’s Blessing
    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: B
    Effect: A basic healing magic, this channels the user’s Psions into a white, slightly slow-moving substance that something can still pass through, but it will be slowed by it. This white energy can flow into the target’s body, restoring both the body and the Energy at the same rate until either one of them is full, after which the restoring energy focuses on the remaining aspect. This technique thus works slower than Shinigami Healing when focused on Energy alone, but has a more wide-spread effect. To master the spell takes a while, but to learn the spell at its base is easy to do.

    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: B
    Effect: Unlike the name, this is not an illusionary technique at all. It creates a round seal pulsating in front of the user’s palm, which then sends out a paralyzing ring of energy. If it hits and traps the enemy, the user slashes straight through the magic circle or beats it with a melee attack, causing that damage to be transferred into the trapped opponent. This is a simple attack, but difficult to master so easy to learn but takes a while to truly master the attack.

    Name: KyuutenChokka(突然のクラッシュ Lit: Sudden crash)
    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: A
    Effect: This magic spell, is a great balance between both, Defense, and offensive strategy. by, gathering up enough Spiritual energy, the user creates a force field, that resembles that of a small circular dome, once the dome is formed, using both of the palms, it will then turn around in a clock-wise motion, sucking in a column of wind like a vacuum, as well as the descending attack of the opponent's, which is usually energy, the user can send the dome, in the form of a bubble, at the opponent, and instantly clap their hands releasing all of the energy, causing it to explode in front of them, and cause a massive wave of confusion, and loss with the opponent, if they're close enough to the attack, they can also get damaged as well, it's best used for escape, but can always be used in battle as a surprise attack. it creates damage, from their attack as well as most of the conflicting wind, to burn, or even lacerate the skin of the opponent if they take the full blunt, depending on the attacks, the Sudden crash, becomes quite a powerful technique, but it can only take up two two large attack's, that are comparable to the cero oscuras, or even a chaos blast. if anymore are fired, it will explode, thus the dome has to be fired into the bubble shape, quickly. This is a more difficult spell to learn to mastering it takes a while.
    Name: Enclosed God's End:
    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: A
    Effect: This Creates a pyramid shaped barrier, around the opponent, though they need to at least be a few meters at the opponent, it's a bad idea to be too close, for the opposing opponent, as it will make it easier for the spell, as it does not need a high level of psions, but major concentration to perform, therefore only the most skilled of magic users, with a peak level concentration can input the right application of the technique, it's similar to a bakudo spell, and encases the opponent in the barrier, it is a very dense and powerful barrier, that can be broken, but if the user has enough concentration, they can use the broken remains as nails to nail the opponent down, not causing damage, but working as a extra concealing spell, while the opponent is trapped within, a hole can be opened in side, for the user to implement their attacks, as well as hitting their first, to cause a large amount of sound oscillation to resonate within, causing a major damage in the equilibration of the opponent's ear's. This is a difficult spell to learn and takes longer to learn and master.
    Name: Boundary Field of Isolation
    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: A
    Effect: A combination of sealing and barrier techniques, this can store an object into a pocket dimension. A seal will appear on whatever object or body part it is sealed in, the size depending on the power and size of the object itself. Sealing a Sacred Weapon inside someone’s arm, for example, would turn the whole arm into the sealing point. The seal can be revoked only by the user, and it is not possible to seal the powers of someone else forever, unless the own power far exceeds the power of the sealed object. A variation of this can only be used by Shimura, and this variation can even seal people, Guardian Beasts or Sacreds until she wishes them released, making the most dire and feared punishment in Sugiura Law not death, but eternal sealing. This takes a long period of time to learn due to the skill it takes and only high level Sugiuras can learn it.

    Name: Blood Fort Andromeda
    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: S
    Effect: Actually, this is just the alias name of the Boundary Field of Blood. Creating a sealing circle out of the own blood of the user, it extends into a dome that can extend according to the user’s Psions. Those inside of it can leave the area, and those outside can enter without problems. However, once you are inside an activated Blood Fort, your body strength and energy will slowly be absorbed into the user of the field, strengthening themselves. Weaker individuals will be molten by the powers of this field into a puddle of slimy blood, giving it the name it has. Both the drawing of the sealing and using enough Psions to extend it is very taxing, which is why usually multiple Sugiura use one of these fields together, or take a long time preparing it, sometimes over weeks. This is one of the few ancient magics banned by Shimura - it was forbidden to teach it, talk about it, or use it, because of how many died because of this magic in wars long forgotten. Blood Fort Andromeda is maybe the strongest spell to that has existed in Sugiuran History before the advent of the Modern Systemic Magic. As this is one of the strongest spells it takes one of the longest times to learn due to its complex nature and it is virtually non-existent in today’s world, more akin to a myth than an actual practice
    Name: Boundary Field of the Wind God
    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: S
    Effect: No one but Shimura in her time knew how to use this magic and to this day it is is more of a myth than an actual accepted magic. It seals off an object permanently against controlling effects, but has the high chance of obstructing the use of the object forever, too, removing it from existence itself into an isolated space. If done correctly, both a weapon and the user can become invulnerable against mind control, time control and spiritual control effects. This is one of the only spells that are impossible to learn due to the complex nature, even though it's concept is simple the application is nearly impossible to learn, and is sealed away like Blood Fortress Andromeda due to the application and obscurity in historical documents.
    Name: Taiyou no Mannakahe (たいようのまんなかへ, lit. "To the Center of the Sun")
    Type: Ancient Magic
    Subset: Spiritual
    Rank: S
    Effect: Taiyou no Mannakahe is a high-power long-range energy attack. It has no "element" but rather is made of pure reishi and energy from the material body. It is fired from the user's index finger of their dominant hand. If ambidextrous, it can be fired from either hand. Only one can be fired per 5 posts. It is the Sugiura equivalent of a Cero Oscuras in terms of power. It is broken down into two stages. The first stage is the "aiming" stage. After pointing at the target, a one-inch-diameter circular beam will be emitted from the finger. Anyone who has not seen or heard of the attack will believe that the beam itself is the attack. However, that is false. Instead, it acts as a laser sight for the actual attack. The longest range ever recorded was 5 miles. After one post, the true attack will be fired. Instead of being something like a large circular attack, this technique takes the form of a long, tall, thin, blade-like attack. The highest ever recorded height was 10 miles high. However, all Taiyou no Mannakahes are EXACTLY one inch thick at their thickest point.

THE HISTORY OF THE SUGIURANS


THE SUGIURA BACKGROUND


I. Original History


Long before the Sugiura arrived in our dimension, the word “Sugiura” meant something entirely different. The word “Sugiura” existed long before the race the world at large is familiar with even existed. Long before the Sugiura were considered a race, they were, in fact, a role, a title. Where they come from, the honor of “Sugiura” was bestowed upon the apex race of the multiverse, the strongest, the wisest, the best of them. In times that had long since passed other beings before the current Sugiura had held the name, however each and every throne was short lived, a mere flash in the pan before the immensity of the proverbial dynasty that had come later. When the Sugiura wrested away the title of the “apex” race, the species before them who held the title were later relegated to their former name, Inusannon, they began the longest running claim to the title that the many worlds had ever seen. The Sugiura have held the title for so very long that the their original name as a species had long since been buried under their title as the apex race. Even in their own multi-verse, they were simply known as the Sugiurans. The Gensoushou, the Eirei, the Inusannon, the Barilee, the Braumen, the Noonu and even the Yurgoot had all submitted to amicable annexation into the Sugiuran empire or were forced to submit before the immense martial power of the Multi-verse’s Apex race. At their height, the Sugiuran Empire had held forty two dimensions and as many as a thousand planets in their grasp, the center of their power coming from their home dimension, Zha’til.

That seat of power, Zha’til, housed the Triumvirate, the ruling governmental body of the Sugiurans. The triangle exemplifies this early stage of belief to the Sugiuran people. They marveled themselves, considering their species as the pinnacle long before they ever achieved such accolades and as such, they model most things in their daily life on what they consider their “self” to be comprised of, the body, the mind, and the soul. Their political structure was no different and was, again, split in three and representatives from each branch of the Sugiuran Hierarchy collaborated and cooperated in ruling the Sugiuran people. The Military represented the body, the Scientists and Craftsmen represented the mind, and the priesthood represented the soul. For a long time, this system stayed in place, long enough that even with their long life spans, there are no Sugiurans that remember a time before their dominion as the apex race. They spread across their multi-verse, annihilating those that would not submit and assimilating those who would.

At the height of their empire however, when the Sugiurans were at their highest, the herald of their end began to echo throughout the multi-verse. It started as a whisper. Contact was lost from the Inusannon universe. Overnight all communication was gone. All messages funneled to the verse were coming up silent. It took them too long to investigate. The Sugiurans had been unchallenged for so long, they quickly chalked it up to just a communication technology failure. It was only when weeks had passed that the Sugiuran Hierarchy went to investigate and what they found was...disquieting to say the least. Every sentient species was stricken from the planet. The scouting party could not explain it. There was no carnage, there was no destruction. Every creature on the planet had seemingly been erased from existence.

For a time, they had no explanation for the phenomenon or an explanation for the seeming spontaneous extinction of a species. They did not need to go a long time for that explanation. The second altercation was not as silent. The Eirei’s were the next world hit. An SOS had been successfully broadcasted for all of thirty minutes before the aggressor had cut off communication to Zha’til. The Sugiurans sent a response team and for the first time ever, eyes were laid upon the Tig-Anis. The response team was annihilated. The Sugiurans had never been challenged before, they did not know how to react. They, for the first time, were rather painfully reminded how complacent they had grown. The Tig-Anis had beaten them back through world to world, leaving a strewn of conquered and absorbed worlds in their wake. To this day the Sugiurans still do not know what happened to the worlds and species that now resided in Tig-Ani territory. Their war lasted for five hundred years, the Sugiurans slowly collapsing under the weight of the endless and tenacious Tig-Ani onslaught. The Sugiurans were never able to truly win any ground from the Tig-Anis, they could only really delay and annoy them. By the end of their five hundred year war, the only races of the previous Empire that remained were the Eirei and Gensoushu and, of course, the Sugiura themselves. The others were but a memory to the Sugiurans.

The Triumvirate was on its last legs, Zha’til was their only world left. They knew they could not win, they’d had five hundred years to learn that lesson, their only hope was to run. Unfortunately, that wasn’t exactly an option in the conventional sense. There were no worlds left to run to. Anywhere they went was already occupied by what seemed like an ever growing army that the Tig-Anis possessed. So they were left with the only option left to them. If they couldn’t leave their world, they would need to excise it. Cut themselves off from all things Tig-Ani. The Sugiura did not have the time however. First, they sacrificed their body. While the Mind was forming the technology to cut their world, the Body launched a desperation assault on the Gensoushou world. Taking the majority of the able bodied soldiers left, leaving only the young and the ones considered the premier breeding material behind, the remains of the Sugiuran military left, launching their assault. They were successful, in a sense. No one expected them to retake the Gensoushou world, but they had bought enough time, an entire week, before they were finally snuffed out to the last man, the Tig-Anis reaping the Sugiuran Body. Enough time had been bought however, the Mind had finished their device. He then took the equipment in to the void between dimensions as the Tig-Anis began encroaching on Zha’til. The device was triggered. As the Tig-Anis enclosed, the Sugiuran Dimension was forcibly ripped from the ones around it. The Mind’s device ripping their universe from the multiverse as the Tig-Anis reaped the mind.

The Sugiuran World remained isolated for a time, hurtling through time and space for ages. It was during this time that the only remaining member of the Triumvirate, Shimura the Soul, remained among the Sugiuran people. Due to the casualty count, suitable candidates to replace the Mind and Body were not available, consequently a shift in the Sugiuran Hierarchy began and what would today be known as the Shimura Hegemony was founded. Shimura the Soul took control of the Sugiuran people by necessity, governing her people as best she could. This Hegemony formed as the Sugiuran Dimension rifled through time and space, the people slowly and steadily rebuilding their population until, suddenly, they were no longer drifting. The Sugiuran dimension crashed in to the world we know today, the multiverse that the races we know and love occupy. It was Shimura who made first contact with the races of this multi-verse. It was difficult to fully explain what they were and, on the whole, these species were substantially less developed than the ones from their own worlds, but they did not lack for arrogance. When they were encountered, the only explanation that predominant race at the time, the Shinigami, could find for them were “mutants.” The Sugiura were clearly not a hollow, clearly not a human, so the only logical explanation were that they were Shinigami, but there were definitely differences...so they must be mutants. It was a dumb explanation and one borne from ignorance, but it was one the Sugiura encouraged, it gave them a purpose in this place. A cover story, an origin that would make them less intimidating, that’d let them blend in. In their minds, it was perfect.

The Sugiuran people settled in to this dimension rather quickly and immersed themselves however they could in the affairs of these people, carefully at first then more and more aggressively as time went on. The Sugiuran Hegemony continued for quite some time. However, a dynasty cannot continue through just one person. Shimura’s daughters threw a wrench into that plan. While growing up, they were always rambunctious, etc etc filler filler but when they reached adulthood, the family was broken apart. With enough drama to fill an entire mid-day network of programming, the Hegemony slowly began to deteriorate as the children vanished off to the corners of the world. When Shimura finally passed, there was no clear line of succession and with that, the Hegemony collapsed.

The vacuum of power left behind led to a call to arms, to return to their roots. Thus the modern Triumvirate was born. The Triumvirate split their land into three, dividing their land into the three kingdoms we know and love today, representing the mind, body and soul of the Sugiuran people. The Western Kingdom became the body of the Sugiuran people, consolidating their population and discipline into the military might of the Sugiuran people. The East became the soul, maintaining the last living line to Shimura and maintaining the history and religious practices of the Sugiuran people. The North became the mind, pushing the boundaries of Sugiuran magic and technology and they left the land to the south to the other races from their dimension, beings that the rest of the world and, to an extent the Sugiura, had coined as “Guardian Beasts.” Stability was restored, not quickly, but still it was restored. However, while it was the policy of the previous Hegemony to simply stay in this realm where the Tig-Anis could not encroach upon them, the debate rose again on whether or not to attempt to take back their home, their realm.

It was to this end that efforts were first made, in earnest, to improve upon the Sugiura. The North, famed more for their technological prowess than their raw power, found a way to augment both at the same time. Pooling the most potent magicians from the entire Sugiuran realm, the North developed what is now known as the “Modern” magic system. This vaulted the Sugiuran people forward, giving them an immense advantage that they did not have before in the world of magic, they now had flexibility. It was with this change, that the Sugiurans themselves began to change. Their new access to power and further acclimation to this universe led the Sugiurans on a path of evolution. They steadily regained the power they once had, the ability to utilize their immense strength without using the Guardian Beasts as a crutch. These changes, these advancements in training and conditioning, only further emboldened the debate.

Such is the current political climate of the Sugiuran realm, the world in a constant debate over the topic of war, over the topic of punching back through the realms to fight back the Tig-Anis, over whether they should simply prepare the races of the current Multi-verse for the potential Tig-Ani attack. Such, is the history of the Sugiurans.

I. Western Lands


Once the Shimura family had reached its ends on staying together, Arturia Sugiuran was one of the firsts to claim her territory in the Western regions. During her reign over the now known western kingdom, Arturia had claimed the respect of all her followers and was later known among them as the best queen of all the realms leaders. The more her kingdom grew, the more Arturia further claimed a name of her known, or in this case a last name; Arturia Leonhardt. Due to the her name change into something more heroic and how she begun to carry herself; the people of the western lands begun to further claim her as the best ‘King’. Something that most of the other leaders didn’t quite comprehend, but that mattered not to Arturia, since it didn’t matter what gender her people referred her as; as long as she could accomplish her goals. Following the schism; Aurturia strongly believed that the only way of salvation against their enemy would be to grow in military strength. The renowned King wanted to make sure that something of that disgrace would never happen to her people ever again; and that same thinking was later passed on to the generations to come. It didn’t take long before Western Kingdom to be known as the hold of the strongest military thus far and this strength didn’t shy away from the later generations as well.

Her children were later known to be the Kingdom’s first Royal Knights, Princesses and Princes, however it seemed that among this family females were far more common then one would expect. However that didn’t change the opinions of their people perhaps it was more comforting to see other ladies become just like their strong mother. To this date not much is known about the whereabouts of Artura’s children; however there has been more updated information on a few of her children. Nicodemus Leonahardt, one of the sons has been sealed within a demon due to unfortunate circumstances this demon has later been known as the true embodiment of war making him unsuitable to even think about taking over the Western Kingdom. Feraki’s Leonahardt position much like everyone of her brothers and sisters has been unknown for quite some time; only rumors exist for her and some people that she has been taken by one of the Ashtavon’s followers, others people that she is still live and well. All in all, she is still unknown to all the kingdoms and cannot take over the thrown while still under the radar. However with Kakeru Leonhardt has been taking over the kingdom till lately, his rule over the kingdom was beneficial to that of his people and to the rest of the Sugiurans. As he was the one who were able to put some of the other kingdoms back in order, however it seemed to be that in the end his own kingdom has been thrown into chaos due to his sudden disappearance. Some people in which he gave the rights to the kingdom has as well not known up to take the throne which leaves only one relative left. Anna Ashtovan Leonahardt, A soul which was brought back by Queen Mana herself, it was unknown as to why she was brought back, but rumors speculate that the king Kakeru Leonahardt himself was involved with her ‘recovery’. Though while not part of the Leonahardt lineage; Gilgamesh who was once the king before Kakeru was allowed to take over once more, yet again much like the other family members he too has disappeared in search of a stronger army. During the time the people of the Western kingdom believed this was due to the beliefs held by their great King Autorias as she too wished for a strong army as to take over the new realm and fight the beings which forced them out of the lands. While a noble goal this was not spread to the people of the new realms as it would cause a terrible rift in their alliances, however their goals has always been set to take by their previous realm with the military power of both them and their new ‘companions.’ All and all with the current state of the kingdom, their goals would be impossible to complete the people are hectic, they are rioting and reeking havoc to even their own lands. The other kingdoms which that they could take over however due to the takes of everyone of them, such a thing would be a difficult task to complete; the other kingdoms’ only hope that someone would return before there is nothing left of what was a power kingdom.

I. Eastern Lands


This was headed by the original progenitors of the Sugiuran Misaiko Sugiura, who had three lovers; Otoya, Leo Leoarndo, and Tsubine Fon'Zarkenheinz. Misaiko had Four Daughters, Syako, Iori, Midori, and Mikoto. These sisters in one way or another shaped their family. The Eastern Sugiura are known for the asian motifs of Knights, which are like Samurai, royal protectors, etc. They are known for also their deep Shinto like faiths with Amaterasu, Susano'o and Tsukiyomi. Another motif of them, is their honor and desire of high skill with Martial arts. They are known as some of the best hand to hand fighters, and as such their poster child of Iori showing her prowess as a fighter is a good way to notice just how powerful they are. For many years the eastern Sugiuran had prospered and had grown into a fine and powerful country, but with the deaths of the fight between Misaiko and Syako, and the disappearances of Midori and Iori, leaving Mikoto left as the only sole heir being that she's a child and has gone missing the Eastern Sugiuran populace are at a loss for losing their nobles and is struggling to keep their country in tact from all of the political fighting at the moment. Their hope is that the last remaining royal Mikoto comes back and is able to lead them into their former glory and improve on it in her rule. That's their current hope, but since there's a huge void in their leadership it seems that most people are concerned that someone like Gilgamesh will take over, and cause more chaos than good for their people.

I. Northern Lands


The Sugiura Family had split apart by the time Shimura Sugiura moved herself over to the Northern lands. It was unknown as to her true intentions were in living in nearly uninhabitable circumstances however due to this the future of the Northern Kingdom way born. Shimura Sugiura had stowed away into one of the highest mountains in the land, creating her own home from on it’s side, during the many years that had passed on Shimura had created that mountain side into a complex fortress. This fortress had been known as Shimura’s reach, even though this Sugiuran had followers it wasn’t like Shimura’s reach was a home to everyone, the other people instead were inhabiting a small village down on the lands. The Northern kingdom known for it’s advanced technology wasn’t always that way, trying to keep warm during the nights were difficult, hunting was dangerous, and no-one knew how to grow plants in frozen soil. However to the people’s surprise Tsubine Fon’Zarkensheinz who was one of Misaiko’s devoted lovers, moved to the winter wastelands. The Fon’Zarkensheinz in later generations were more curious on making technology better, more efficient; so that the life in the Northern lands would be bearable in the least. Step by step, and years and years the Northern lands tiny village had been growing into a futuristic fortress. Growing food had became a possibility and the people never had to worry about freezing to death in the sleep. It wasn’t just the technology as in the living conditions that had approved, but also hunting equipment, clothing, items, everything from large and small had been altered by the time the new fortress had came to be. While other Kingdoms like the East in which placed their entirety into that of the gods, these people instead only wished to further themselves with their own power, from the way that time flows in the Sugiuran realm it’s even rumored that their technology is far more advanced than that of Karakura town.

While this fortress caught the attention of more and more people, it was then that it would be known to be the Northern Kingdom. The people didn’t necessarily believe that they needed a king however, much like presidents of the world having a higher authority figure would have benefited them much more. Plus it wouldn’t have been different then with dealing the Fon’Zarkensheinz family as they were already pretty much royalty to the people. However much like the rulers in the past even this family and slowly ceased a much lesser family by the name of Cruor had taken over, and their ideals were more towards that of the Humans than of the Sugiurans. While the rest of the kingdoms had their own way of dealing with the Schism, and like what was said earlier the North believe in bettering themselves and so maybe they would be able to fight Tig-Ani. Maybe then they would be able to take back their world once more, however this wouldn’t be possible with the Cruors running the kingdom; what else could the kingdom have done then chase their own people away. Leaving the Royal family stuck on earth during one of the biggest world wars, it was because of this that the two princesses of the Northern Kingdom had been stuck in the human realms for the next couple of centuries. Kakeru Leondhardt, the King of the Western kingdom at the time, went to earth to take back the daughters of the Northern kingdom, hoping to bring back the order that the kingdoms once had. Of course since time was so different between the human realm and the Sugiuran realm, most of the people who lived during the time of the First King and Queen of the Northern had already died off, leaving not much people to oppose the new princesses taking over.

Sidera Cruor and Aceldama Cruor, were in order the Oldest and the Youngest princess of the Northern kingdom, leaving Sidera the rightful owner of being the queen by age. While peace had been kept over the kingdom, Aceldama the first princess had later found herself a partner in which gave her five lovely children to add to the royal bloodline. Kamui Cruor, Izayoi Sumashuu, Genevieve Cruor, Kurama Sumashuu-Curor and lastly Yuzuki Sumashuu. Each child had their own views over the kingdom and if they wished to be apart of the royal family some of them taking it much better than others. However as time passed in the Northern Kingdom, so did the leadership unknown as of now, the queen of the Northern kingdom is nowhere to be scene, and no-one has yet taken over the throne.

I. Guardian Beast Lands


This is the only place that hasn't taken really any damage from the changing times since this is nature in the raw. The only thing that's different is that there are many guardian beasts that doesn't have a bond and they are looking for bonds so the despair they are feeling is the need to be linked to a Sugiura or someone that's capable of handling a beast. For the most part the beasts that are fighting for power to rule are the ones that always have been exempting one person who was just fighting to get back with her people, but she's disappeared into the darkness of the Suguiran lands or maybe Earth itself. No one really knows but it's thought that she too may be dead.
