The Basics

“..This place has the motivation of a dead housecat. . .”

Azuma had said in a rather empty room in a rather silent organization. An organization that at one time had kicked children and then dissected them because why the fuck not. An organization which had it’s capital built out of the bones of the oppressed, the bones of those who had been swiftly and brutally crushed underfoot. It was a place nightmares had been made of, nightmares probably still being made of. The monsuta, had once been one of the sickest things on the globe, a place of such depravity, degradation and Psychopathy, that there wasn’t much left in the organization's reputation other than such a bloodstained past. There just wasn’t anything there other than one atrocity after the next, if it wasn’t one thing it had been another, but atleast the organization had a clear direction then, a purpose that had driven the org to new heights, sickening ones but none the less heights that had been arguably one of the new ages for them, an age of nightmares, but still an age of unrivaled strength, power, and conformity.

Yet as Azuma stared at the empty room, as he checked the security cams using his access to the general network, as all these things essentially came to fruition he essentially didn’t see, a single fucking soul. There was no one organizing some hit on another org, there was no one coming to essentially break down the monsuta’s door. There just wasn’t anything there, like a momentary hiatus he could understand from the recent shift in leaders, but this wasn’t a hiatus, this was just plain negligence, to the point that in all honesty it infuriated him. If he had to choose between being the villian in the story that was life, committing atrocities, or seeing the organization he had come to cherish fall into neglect and disuse? He would go back to being the villian in less than the split second it took for that thought to snap through his head, even if he officially wasn’t on the roster, the former member of the monsuta’s special positions in tora’s time was irritated at seeing this organization in this way.

So as he picked up a cigarette and ignited it through a single lone snap to the end, a crimson flame engulfing the tobacco inside, and brought it to his lips he had felt a vein slightly jumping in his head. The world was changing, he hadn’t been ignorant of what had been going on, such as how recently the vanguard had attacked shadow fall and they had fought over iceland, yet where had they the monsuta been? When they should have been in the very thick of it, instead they had been in their own lands twiddling their thumbs and doing literally nothing, and that bothered him on such a fundamental level that it was like a constant ache in his chest, he wanted to see the org moving in a direction atleast, even if it is a misguided one, because those things can naturally be remedied with the passage of time, but not doing a single thing cannot be remedied no matter what you do.

Azuma would ponder these notions, this irritation and the inherent exasperation at this situation the monsuta was in. It didn’t matter what was going on, or how it was going on. There should be a plan for action or something that could be done, yet he knew that in his current position he himself couldn’t give the organization the shove it needed. Instead it needed to come from someone who was still immersed within the ranks, someone who had a position of power that granted them the tools and the necessary clearance to get shit done. So as the secret weapon of the monsuta sat there and pondered, he began formulating and refining , thinking both on how the monsuta was, and the possibilities that lay in store for it now, seeing as the future was literally pretty much endless.

So much for a silence. A once hopeful organization now became ridden with dusts. A certain girl joined the Monsuta because of the potential she was capable of seeing in them, a capable leader and its powerful band of people. But slowly, each day that passes by, its numbers seem to shrink without a trace of its former glory as if they were just statues that once stands and now taken down to be replaced by a pile of dusts. Even with the new leader present for it, even 'he' went quiet just a few days after its appearance in Monsuta despite being the former leader of the organization before Tora. It was disappointing of what the new leader could even lead its people to; as all she sees was nothing but leading to the destruction of both its glory and people without a single care in the world.

But she didn't care. No matter how lack in resources or numbers they are in, no matter how many casualties that they have suffered, even if she was the last person standing, only one of the few people within the organization ever stood up in keeping the Monsuta in position. She was alone, all of her subordinates that she once knew was gone, the people she once called 'friends' left as well except one; Azuma. The last time she remembered both of them meeting was somewhere in the Wastelands but the meeting was vague to her since she barely cared for what has happened. Yes, that person was 'Zwei Yuki', the Iramasha whom they call the 'Imperfect God' in the battlefield. Regardless of her obstacles, this little girl continued to relentlessly expanded Monsuta's territory, fought against different people that tried so hard to defend against it. Simply put, the amount of work she has put into keeping the organization alive from its near-death state was commendable for someone like herself. There was nothing special about it yet an Imperfect God like herself cared enough to keep it running herself despite the position that she carried as this kind of heavy duty work should've been done by the leader himself to expand the territories and proudly lead its people. But what did he do? As much as she beckons in questioning the now-missing new leader, she has no other words to describe the feeling of death that drove over the air that Monsuta has. There were nothing but dusts, with signs of the people that was once apart of the organization.

Entering the entrance that was provided for her, the near-empty room that she entered was now filled with only two people that was present; Zwei Yuki and Azuma Lazarus. The presence of another person than herself did not surprise her at the least but it is the fact that Azuma is still alive at this very moment, considering that they've lost contact ever since the last time they've met in the Wasteland. Whatever that has happened over the period of the time that they have not met since, it was probably nothing of an importance for her to inquire about the situation. It was the silence that truly brought them together into the room, into assessing what should be done right here and right now about the Monsuta. Zwei has no interest in taking the throne since even what she has done, the Imperfect God provided no apparent interest in leading people that she deemed too much of her time would be wasted into pulling the strings herself. To her, the new leader was weak and lack of charisma, since if she confronted him and fought him seriously, the entire base would've clearly been wiped out of existence including him. Throughout the history of her very existence as the Imperfect God, not even once has she taken any of her fights or 'squabbles' seriously as that she did not gain that title of hers for naught.

Zwei's arms crossed itself against one another, her crimson red eyes took its course and aimed towards Azuma. There were no display of emotions since she has shown indifference to the situation. The only issue she is dealing with is that her work would become fruitless if everything that Monsuta holds falls apart at this very moment. The second Zwei herself ceased to continue keeping hold of the final breath of life that the organization, Monsuta, it would've fallen apart within a matter of seconds. She didn't do this for fame neither was it to claim the throne to run the organization. After the day she became immortal, these kinds of needs were nothing more than just a nailed title to the wall. It is the interest that took her in, it is the potential that it held back then, which now all dissipates like the wind. Without taking her time to sit down, her choice was to lean against the nearest possible wall that she could lean right on, and without further hesitation, she took the words right out of her mouth from the thoughts of what she currently feels and thinks about the situation that they are facing as the only people that was willing to bring the name to fruition while they could.

"So, Azuma-chan, what have you been doing lately? Have you got any plans to do anything afterwards? It seems like a waste of time if we continued to try to bring something dead back to life. Monsuta had potential but I guess its time for the lights to go out."

Zwei did not possess any sort of attachments to the organization at all. Again, she joined for the potential it held and interests it provided to keep her here. With those fires that kept it going now gone, both of them can be considered as the only ones that really fight with its name on their titles. She has planned for herself if it were to fall at any day, seeing that it is under the brink of extinction as an organization. She holds respect for Azuma since she met him in the past, the only man that could keep up with her even at the state which she never fought him seriously, but still, commendable for his efforts to earn her due respect but she spoke out her mind of the current situation. A home that soon will crumble, Zwei herself continued regardless to expand their territory but the point of expanding lands was to hold more people and grow stronger but looking from her perspective, it seemed fruitless.

But to truly conclude her view in the situation, it was up to Azuma to really decide what will happen to Monsuta. With their leader missing in action at the moment, he was probably the second person to make the choice since Zwei made herself clear that the life and death that Monsuta has is not of her concern. She works for it, expands its lands and grow more of its potential, as simple as that. If it is his decision to continue its growth, then he would need to make choice for the leadership it currently has. Yes, Zwei will continue to do what she originally intended when she first hopped onto this one insane of a ride, but what is it to him to truly continue the legacy that the organization has? If he chose to let it crumble, either both of them go to their separate ways or choose to move along together to reform something new. She doesn't know but of course, her interest in politics of organizations is definitely not her forte in handling these kind of things.

The Basics

..”Zwei.”

Azuma’s words echoed firmly through the room, as he finally had picked up someone worth noting in the sensors. Zwei Yuki. Imperfect god, one of the last members in this place that given a damn, and one of his most unlikely of acquaintances possibly even the only person who he trusted and respected in this joint still. For the leader had not done anything to give warrant for respect. Nor had anyone done anything more than this lone girl, as when the light went dark, there was a ember, a flickering in the darkness of this crumbling organization. That ember had been her, and with her efforts the organization at least for a time had continued to thrive, to live and breathe as something more than just a relic of the past which would soon fall to irredeemable ruin, there was nothing more then shadows of the once powerful org left, and the thing that could equate to light here, the closest thing in this abyss of nothingness was her, zwei.

It had been a long time since they had met in the wastelands, since they had learned of each other's existences and gained that unlikely respect for one another that had been forged rather than given. And the secret weapon of the monsuta had known then even if all else failed this contradictory existence would keep going, plowing through the darkness to make this organization grow and prosper. Yet even now, he could see that even with zwei along there would be no returning from the brink, even with her position her strength and status there would be no other chance then now when it came to reviving the once dead organization, their leader was doing nothing, had vanished shortly after he had appeared once more on the world stage, a momentary presence that failed to maintain the needs and necessities of the organization. of the monsuta. Where was he now, he certainly wasn’t here, instead he was somewhere else doing something else, yet he was not where he should be, here in this organization giving it the restart it sorely needed.

So as Azuma mulled over the conundrum he faced he had listened and taken in what zwei said. First she had asked what he had been up too, which was a candid question that he could quite simply answer. ”..Honestly i have been watching to see what this new leader would do with this organization. I cannot say however im impressed, far from it actually.” But that was only the first part of the question zwei asked, and the second portion of it, was harder for him to honestly answer, it took for though and honest deliberation due to the heavy implications on what zwei was asking of him. A path, a concrete plan for the future and a definitive commitment. That was what zwei was asking from him. Not giving him a chance to remain on the sidelines anymore. This was something he had to exhale slowly for and remove the cigarette from his mouth, before setting it on the floor to crush it out under the sole of his boot.

Next his hands would interlace with each other as he looked up, and really looked, making eye contact with the imperfect god due to the sheer gravity of what she was asking of him, what she was wanting him to really think about, and he would begin with not a grand declaration but a sincere answer, one person to another, not two powerful beings who had an immense amount of responsibility thrust upon them, as came with being a member of the monsuta at any real given point in time.

”.. i feel that the organization still has the potential there to be great, we just cannot timidly sit by in the shadows anymore, the light has indeed gone out but the base is still there, as well as embers that flicker brilliantly in this darkness, waiting to combust into something bigger again.”

He’d pause then to think about how he was going to word the next portion of what he just wanted to say to the imperfect god, because what she asked had required him to actually think rather than just give a mundane answer that had the amount of thought needed to do simple math, because in all honesty this was a problem that was relevant to him as well because this organization was his home, and he wasn’t going to give up without a good fight, or at least without seriously doing everything he could literally do for the organization, and in which time? He would go with zwei, the only remaining member that had earned or maintained any facet of his respect, the only other person that still bothered to ask the question “what can i do” rather than “when will this end?”

”But for that to happen, we need to force change and not just sit on our asses, I’ve seen two leaders come and go, and this one has done even less then those two have. So i question why they deserve to lead, or rather what they had done to earn this position, our organization isn’t one that is merely meant to sit on the sidelines and twiddle our thumbs while everything changes. Our organization instead is meant to be the one which forges ahead and crushes opposition swiftly underfoot, before moving on to higher loftier goals. “

Now Azuma would exhale and chew his lower lip for the moment, and really begin to think about what was entailed through this organization’s collapse. Because this conversation had given him an ultimatum and a purpose. Either this organization would flourish once more, or it wouldn’t flourish at all, as this place had been his home and it deserved respect, and a purpose not to idly eek out this meager existence.

”..I plan to either rebuild this organization and make it great once more. Or i will raise it and start over with those who tried to keep this place going, such as you zwei, you didn’t give up even when no one else continued to move forward. Probably not out of love or attachment like me, but because you understood the potential this place has. I want this place to live up to that potential, and either it will or it won’t but i'm wanting to know if i do go through with this, are you along for the ride? As i respect and trust you, so if this doesn’t work and i do end up having to let the lights go out on this place if it’s truly unable to be saved. Will you still stand by me as a comrade as you always have? Because out of this whole mess, you are the only person left who has earned and deserves my respect, zwei. “

He had dropped the bomb essentially in this conversation , and now it was time to see how zwei would take it.

Bloody stenches that lurk across the walls really smells, isn't it? Even in the tense situation that both of them are in, Zwei never specifically felt any sort of emotions regarding about it. If it weren't for the fact that her so-called 'friends' were in this organization, she would not have been apart of it. To some, she may be the only ember to shine brightly in the grim times of the organization but there are those who thinks that her attempts would only drag down its people further, so much so that they would rather have the entire thing collapse than having one fire to keep it alive. She doesn't see herself to be heroic or respectful in the acts she made, because there are chances that it could be revived again yet look how long has the silence has settled into the walls of their headquarters, dusts that stuck itself around the windows and tables, and the emptiness that lurks through the corridors of their base. To her, further attempts seemed like a waste of her precious time but of course, to someone incapable of aging and dying, 'time' felt like forever in her constant struggle of life and death. How many has she 'died'? No idea.

She was never in her place to speak, with her ears wide and open to listen each and every word that Azuma could speak from his mouth. His plans for the organization sounds sincere and may seem flawless, but really, who is in the position to say those words? Zwei was downright honest when it comes to her thoughts and she would not be afraid to express it, as much as she has respect for Azuma as a fellow subordinate whom she once met in the past, to her, his words felt nothing enough to really shake her decision into closing down the curtains for the organization, for her to be the last fire to be burning ever so brightly in the empty halls of the Monsuta. It felt sugarcoated more than anything else, from someone that she presumed to be gone and ran away in the past, regardless of the sincerity of his feelings, she knew very well that he wanted to bring Monsuta back and Zwei respects that decision of his as it was his position to make the big changes with his bare hands since she is the one who asked of his opinion about getting the place down or run it back up again. With the lack of resources, power and influence that the Monsuta currently has, even Zwei finds it rough to get it back up its feet without assuring that the new recruits would not leave if they were to get some new kids into the organization. To her, the ideal way was to spread their borders further after the heavy casualties suffered during the Australia War, in order to spread the name of Monsuta to really get people to know that they are truly 'evil', capable of slaughtering anything that dares to oppose their power. Truthfully, managing an organization seems like a tough work that even the Imperfect God didn't feel like doing to waste her time.

After Azuma finished everything that he needed to say, her head was tilted down, remaining silent for a minute or so after his grand idea of either take it or leave it. That was the only choice she could hear from him, no matter how grand his speeches may be, how polished and how sweet it may sound to one's ears, in the end, it all comes up with the choice to leave it the way it is as a crumbling organization or rebuild its name like every carpenter's job to keep it steady and stable again. However, in the end of his speech is what makes a bit of things slightly awkward at her end. His reply to her may be long to her utterly short question of hers, but gathering her thoughts under this silence, her view on his thoughts were.. well, brutally honest.

"I know you are attached to the organization and how incapable our new leader is, since both of us has seen what he did just after taking over the organization; he just vanished in an instant without a trace. But you barely had the means to criticize our missing leader. You are apart of the Monsuta and yet you were missing for a period of time until i met you right here and now. You are simply no different than him."

Breaking away from leaning against the wall, she began taking closer steps to approach the likes of Azuma. She may possess a small stature of a body, but this one silent room would be easy to spot her approach, is it not? Not even a word was spoken from her mouth, not until when her distance is shorten to that of an atom's distance, so close in front of Azuma that she would need to face him directly upward at the angle of 90 degrees. Her view now locked against the eyes of Azuma, she continued where she left off.

"How many forced changes have we undergone? As much as i remembered, Monsuta was once an organization of the Vizard and had great numbers. Because it diminished, it became open to everyone that could help our cause. And now, it has weakened again. I did not sit by in the shadow and watch yet it seems to be dying more than i could help. What would you be able to suggest doing then, given the mighty words you could reply in continuing Monsuta's life as it is."

Tilting her head and stretching her neck to the side, maintaining the view upwards really felt tiresome to keep it that way. Emotional attachments meant nothing to her, or does it? Zwei lost the assurance that she has lost it after she gained what truly bestows her immortality, infinite time that she lost count of. People around her were dying while her body remained itself in the infinite tunnel of time incapable of killing her. She tried many times that could break but her body persists to keep itself back together like glue stuck to a wall. Listening to the final sentences that Azuma gave, she awkwardly scratched the back of her head from his.. rather misleading words if some other people heard it. Knowing that they are comrades that had earned each other's respect, she knew that there were no other intentions behind that word of his. Her face flustered for a bit, and returned to its normal condition after a few seconds. Zwei shook her head, she relieved both of their tension by replying to him once more; and pretty honest herself on this one.

"It is up to you to decide what's going to happen to the organization. I am in no position to change your judgement on the actions you may take in the future."

"As much as that sounded like a proposal, i would stand by your side as a comrade while i am able to do so. Assuming that if you can live longer than i do, Azuma-chan."

A fairly light smile appeared on her lips for a short moment, before it grew flat in her expression again as if nothing ever happened before. It was her honest reply, without means of lying or doubt in her comradeship, she didn't think too much of him due to the lack of communication between both of them. Zwei felt indifferent regardless, this was common to those that she has met for the span of time which she has lived, and ended up dying before her. She may be the light for Monsuta, but she is no light herself, internally and externally. An Imperfect God that she is, her existence shrouds under the curtains of darkness that cannot be dwelled into.

The Basics

“I can’t promise i won’t die before you but i can promise you will be stuck with me for a long time yet. zwei”

Azuma had said before his golden gaze had narrowed as he thought about what was next. There still lingered individuals in the dark that if given the proper push could revive this organization and bring it completely back to its former glory. It was merely a matter of finding those people, who had slipped through the cracks in the last great war, the australian war. Quite recently one had caught his particular attention though, a man who was known to him but he had thought he had died, the bomb happy psychopath of the monsuta who had vanished in australia, that individual was still at large in australia and because of that he wanted to if nothing else to go get him first, because for what he had in mind, his power was absolutely needed, and because of that he would get up slowly and take note of zwei’s expression, she had if for but a moment seemed flustered, something extremely unusual for the girl and he’d let a small chuckle escape his lips at that thought. A flustered zwei, who knew such a thing existed.

Next he’d adress her accusation or more, the truth that she spoke, something that he wasn’t proud of. But at the same time he had to own up to or he would be no better than those who left and came back because of the mere fact of their whim dictating them to do so. His left golden eye gazing into the corner of his eye to meet zwei’s form as each word he stated wouldn’t be sugar coated instead they would be honest and sincere, due to that was what he felt zwei deserved. Both his honesty and his sincerity.

”..I am no better than him in how i left, however if history serves correct he has left before, which was how the organization fell into hakai and lionus’s hands in the first place. I am not better than him yet, but i intend to be if this is going to work. Now as for the idea i have, it requires us to visit the monsuta’s original homeland to pick up a certain bomb expert. Though with the reports i’ve been getting on his rampaging he may be too far gone and require some tweaking. “

Now Azuma had gently strode forward and rested his hand on her shoulder, before finally what he did was simply began to walk towards the door, because there wasn’t a time for “deliberation” there was only a time for action in this rapidly declining state that the monsuta had been put into. In a perfect world he would have had years to plan out the monsuta revival , or its destruction, however this wasn’t a perfect world, something that he knew both him and zwei yuki both understood on a fundamental level due to just merely experience. His broad shoulders and thick muscles would shift as he continued to walk towards the door, a certain mettle gleaming in his eyes as he said over his shoulder, continuing to reply to what she had to say with honest responses.

”..Zwei forced changes are a part of the monsuta, this organization has always been about strength, as eventually even i will fall, but till then i'm going to do what we should have done. Which is find those who slipped through the cracks in the last great war, find those who will support me, and bring them back, that is the first step to making any real change, having the power to back it up. now zwei. “

Azuma would pause now as he scratched his head as displays of affection or emotion often hadn’t been his strong suit, and still currently hadn’t been his strong suit. So as he finally reached into his pocket to procure a carton of malboro cigs, he’d take one out and light it with another snap. Taking a drag before finally he would pause and say in a tone that was halting and rather unsure, as he had experience with fighting, with death, and with hardship, hell during his fight with dr.hebi in mexico he had cheated death, but expressing his emotions? He had zero experience with that, and that was for him something that made him very, very uncomfortable. Feeling generally could be called a strength and an illogicality. An imperfection, and yet here he was expressing those very emotions to this girl who for all he knew, could care less.

“Zwei, im not good with the touchy feely stuff, never have been but, i am on a personal level happy that you agree’d to stick around, and i am as a member of the monsuta thankful that we have someone like you with us, don’t forget that , as i probably will never openly admit that again. Now. . . it’s been awhile but i think it’s time for us to make a trip back to Australia."

"Bomb expert?"

Questioning the only specifics that he has given from his words, whoever this expert may be, she doubted that he or she would be much of a help to begin with. This world is sure insignificant, as much as causing a ruckus in their homeland, the ironic thing is the fact that Australia has not fully recovered yet even after the events of Australia War considering how much of a collateral damage it has received from such a scale of a war that simply wiped the land flat off of the map. While it is under the process of being rebuilt, the scars left by the war was enough to tell the tale of what has happened once in the lands of Australia; bloodied corpses and craters from explosions that rained on the earth that was previously painted with the peaceful civilians of australians.

She did not exactly participated in that one hell of a war, but Zwei herself never failed to keep herself informed of the news across the world, and never missed out of what has occurred for the damage that Australia took. Afterall, being apart of the Monsuta meant that she needs the details to justify her actions and reasons to expand their lands, and not do her work blindly without knowing what is going on. True, after the collateral damage that they took, one by one, the former members of Monsuta either left and went missing from that point or has become the members of stronger organization such as Shadowfall and such. The changes that Monsuta underwent really put things down the drain and lost quite a load of its firepower that it once had for the people who took pride into fighting for the organization. Zwei was never really fond of reviving the dead but seeing under the weight that Azuma is willing to put through his shoulders, she would not complain for a bit. If anything happens, she doubts that she will take responsibility of the damages that will be done in the near future.

It is true that she does have respect for Azuma, as a person; a comrade at most. With much obligation that she could give, he is not the person that she truly respected. His efforts for changes is worthy of acknowledgement even to the eyes of the Imperfect God, but really, her steps to seeing the mortal world that her life has given her could only catch her glimpse into truly respect only the person that once led the Monsuta, and that person would be Tora Lionus. Zwei met him once before she became apart of Monsuta, to 'invite' herself to the organization and make herself known to what she can really do. Fear is not the suit that makes who she is, but his presence could even give someone who is confident enough that she would not die from petty attacks; a feeling called 'fear' in her soul. It pulsates her, knowing that given her power, she could easily wipe out anything that steps into her way but of course, that man was not chosen to be the leader of Monsuta for no reason at all, eh? She can clearly see the difference between tora and azuma, two different people, two different respects that she could scale in her eyes.

In the ruckus that he so-called of the bomb expert, Zwei has no idea in the world to know who would have the guts to cause much of an issue in Australia. A pretty gutsy one, if you ask her. While she is still a bit bumped out from the work of conquering Bolivia, that work can be rubbed off for a bit and do her fair share of work. She didn't do much of a speech, but her words has weight of its own to be stacked upon her shoulders. Her time of life and death, though, seems to wash away all of the thoughts at the moment about dealing with 'responsibilities' that she has to deal with in the past and in the future. It is not that she has no time to deal with those sort of things, but she has so much time of being alive to the point that she doesn't feel like to even deal with it once. Again, that bomb expert would taste its medicine once it faces power beyond what its puny.. 'bombs' can do. He or she ain't bomberman from the day of 90s, because Zwei is going to clear up that old-fashioned bomber.

Listening to every inch of a word that Azuma could spit out from his lips, Zwei could only leave a sigh from herself and took these answers for now. They may sound plain and meaningless to her, but she would bear with it and see the efforts to actually back up his claims for the organization and his decision to keep it going until the day it truly falls under the hands of death itself; the collapse of Monsuta, that is. She could not provide any comments that could really judge more of him much longer as Zwei felt like she would be a bully for pointing out the amount of flaws he would have presented as a person. It is no wonder that this man could never get laid with the way that he is right now. As the saying ever goes for people like him, stay a virgin and die a virgin. Its hard to call it a joke since it is pretty much a fact to apply for him but eh, what else is there to poke his eyes out for?

Shifting her foot and started her movement as well right behind Azuma, she kept her posture stable and steady as she stood strongly behind him. Despite having the stature of a little girl, her posture was strong and confidence, and somewhat having a feeling of a laid-back nature if you ever considered the confidence that she has in her immortality as a being, letting her feel relaxed most of the time knowing that death won't be coming to take her life anytime soon. Taking a few more steps to stand right next to Azuma, her expression still retains a rather plain look without much of a reaction out of herself despite hearing about this bomber expert that sounds like it popped right out of a videogame. What a hassle to deal with, to be honest. But again, it is Azuma afterall. All that talk would've been worthless if she simply bailed out like that.

Whoever that person may be, Zwei doubted that she would need to go seriously on the given issue. Regardless of who or how powerful of a person that she fought, not even anyone that knew her or is an associate of hers, as well as her former opponents was never taken seriously into combat by her. Why? It is a waste of energy. She gained immortality in the past just to not deal with squabbles like this, to have time instead to deal with more meaningful things of her interests such as conquering a city of her own? Not sure since her interests were never specific. And with Azuma around? Zwei would most likely stand around and watch as usual. Really, going by the title of the Imperfect God is a boring work since she was never really a type of take things seriously unless they could bring her the fun that she needs from them. The most she could find out of the people she always fought are either bloodthirsty, aching for revenge or just people who wants a rematch. Just typical day for her.

"Don't sweat it. I am apart of the Monsuta either way."

After that sentence, her head turned around towards Azuma, parting her lips only to speak another sentence to continue her previous statement, "Let's make things a little less boring. How about a race to Australia? I don't know what the loser has to do but we'll think about that later when we reach there. Up for it or are you going to chicken out?"

Her expression now broke into a grin, Zwei is pretty confident with her abilities to get to Australia in a blink of an eye. It was pretty much a great time to test out a little bit of skills regarding movements so she could utilize it later in combat in the future. With her immortality, movements would become a much easier task for her especially with long distances. She won't bother teleporting since it wastes more time than moving all the way here. Even if the situation seems dire for the Monsuta, it wouldn't hurt to get things a little bit smooth than being tensed up the entire time? It would be bad for blood circulation if things are tense all the time, since Zwei isn't the type of being tense over everything about Monsuta. Even taking over Bolivia felt like an everyday tasks that she performs. Maintaining one's mental state is rather important for someone like herself, especially when the immortality that she has would break her down for the amount of time that passes by each and every single day.

The Basics

“Hm”

Azuma had paused as he had listened to what zwei had to say, slowly taking in each word and filing it away for future reference. Mulling over what his plan was and how he needed to get things done. The weight of what he was doing was crushing but more then that? It brought his old blood to a boil, the prospect of not sitting on his ass anymore? That was the thing that made a face splitting grin spread from one part of his face to the other, his expression shifting from the neutral mask he normally wore to something darker, something more sinister as he thought of how australia went, how everyone had eventually ran away and left the organization alone. The very thought? It brought him beyond the heights of anger, into something new entirely, a strange cruel calm that would settle over his soul for the moment, as he thought about what he would do to those who had left when they had been needed the most.

Oh how he would love to find them, to rip their marrow out of their bones and then slowly dissect them, starting with the legs by pulling the tendons out, he would love to bathe in their blood and rip out their organs, slowly bit by bit as they still lived, leaving them as a breathing shell that would only live in pain. If he ever found them, he would not only do this but he would find every last on of their family members and rip them limb from limb. That was just how he was, but for now, the madness that was inside him, an unhinged trait that stemmed from what he had to do to survive. He didn’t fear death but at the same time he didn’t feel the need to go rushing forth from the abyss searching for it, there just was no point in seeking a premature death at this point and for now? The secret weapon of the monsuta had paused.

From what he knew nathan had gone off the grid some time during the midst of the war, and since then he hadn’t been heard from since. Now Azuma had been getting reports of people going missing for some time now in australia, hundreds if not thousands of people had gone missing, and he had a hunch that possibly nathan had something to do with it, and because of that, he needed to find and assess what state the former member of the monsuta was in. More importantly he needed to figure out how far gone the man was, as at the best of times he had always been a tad unhinged, if you wanted to understate things atleast, and in reality? The bombing expert troubled him some, and because of that he had planned to book it as fast as he could, but now? As he listened to the next portion of what zwei had to say he had grinned widely.

”..Chicken? You dare call me a chicken zwei~?”

Azuma had bantered back his tone obviously playful manner but still there would be an. . . unhinged nature about it as he would have shifted his body and allowed the defining trait of his to manifest, his general unity with his hollow, and the godly levels he took it too, allowing him to at this point to essentially enter a state that was similar to a vizards masked state, only it was on a more fundamental level of fusion, where it was more similar to a hollowed state then a mere masked state. His golden hued gaze shifting to look at her as he had at the point let out a barking laugh that would echo throughout the midst of the compound, causing the building to shake just a tad while he positioned himself and said over his shoulder at this point, in a tone that was more taunting now than playful.

”..Keep up then!”

His body had launched off and rapidly vanished, not from teleportation though, but because in his masked state he was for all intents and purposes an entity of light, and because of this? He was able to accelerate to truly absurd speeds, able to pull off feats such as vanishing, after-images and purely insane acceleration, given at the moment? He had already exited the building and for now was probably at a distance of 160 miles atleast from the compound, moving at a truly immense rate that had the air shattering around him as he couldn’t help but look over his shoulder for the moment, given this was zwei’s challenge and he was sure at this weak speed there would be no problem in the perfect god catching up, infact he expected it given the imperfect god was a fairly quick girl.

As such? He would pick up the pace a tad by kicking off the air, utilizing friction control to cause the air to turn into a firm area for him to kick off of, generating another sound-shattering shockwave as he launched off at an even higher rate of speed, not yet using his light manipulation to pick up his speed. This would be all raw acceleration as his hair whipped around in the wind and he waited for zwei to catch up’

Youth, it seems. Despite Zwei's looks, by actual age, she was no longer the youthful woman that she used to be back then before she gained immortality. In all honesty, this was not even the true appearance that she had back in her younger days as it was simply the appearance that she decides to take on after many years of living as an immortal being. If her spirit was as young as Azuma's, then it may be an option for her to feel young once again. Yet all she can do was to play the 'figure' of a child with the way that she is right now. She stood there, not as surprised as she may have expected herself to react to, all she would see was seeing Azuma speed off like some hyper young man that he is within a flash. Geez, men sure love to take pride when they are called a chicken but that is probably the unchanging Azuma that she knew from the first day that she met him. Although, maybe with a brighter look on his face than a gloomy one during their first meeting, only two beings furiously fought against each other just to prove the strength of each other. A man who can control friction and the other girl who lost the capability to die. As much as she wants to think about the brighter perspective of her life, she felt that it is seemingly impossible to hold onto that thought. She is, after all, a monster herself who has ruthlessly slaughtered many lives whether they are children or adults. She enjoys their bloody screams, how they begged for mercy and ran in fear when blood poured over their precious lands yet what is this feeling that throbbed into the depths of her sanity? She does not know what she felt about herself, the Monsuta and everything about this, as becoming immortal was what she asked for when she abandoned the side in which they love to call 'human'.

Her eyes was closed, counting down up to 3 seconds to give Azuma a little distance from her after he sped off like Sonic the Hedgehog. Why? Well, he'll know soon enough when she meant about it after asking question of him chickening out. Testing out some new tricks that she learnt about her immortality and how she regenerated her body when it is destroyed, as well as how it is rebuilt from, it is easy for her to begin understanding on how to maneuver properly in that body of hers. She didn't need to use her strength to properly move at high speeds at this point.

A rather hard task to do, but it would be better to do it on practice than an actual combat as it is her first time to actually use such an ability. 100,000 different types of energy, and a body that regenerates out of her 'Dark Matter', an unique energy that is nothing else than 'herself', something that does not exist until she created it. So, how does she move relatively fast? To catch up to Azuma's speed, it means that she just needs to move faster than his raw body since once you think about it, Azuma is still a being of both flesh and bones, so even at the fastest speed he would be capable of moving, it would be the limit of which his body would not rip itself apart. By applying the concept that does not exist to her body, it meant that she would be able to bend the speed limit of her body by her own will. While this technique is still imperfect in many ways for her first try over this and there is high probability that she would not be able to top over Azuma's highest possible speed he is capable of going, trying never hurts.

First? It comes to 'breaking down' her body's Dark Matter. By manipulating the Dark Matter of her body that became that of an organic matter's, Zwei would be able to 'destroy' her own body into pieces slowly and compress all of that particle around her soul. That is to readjust the properties of the Dark Matter across her body to reform itself into a white-ish liquid that is originally the appearance of her Dark Matter, and break it down into something more compact and smaller. Since her organs and everything else that makes her 'human' is nothing but the creation of her Dark Matter, even the brain itself, as long as her soul still exists, so is her consciousness. An Iramasha that is not tied down by the limits of the soul cycle and her previously mortal body exposed to the grips of death, she was able to perform this feat by further compressing her body smaller than it should be. With that done? She would change the properties of her Dark Matter that compacted her body to the size of a doorknob into the existing energy which they love to call it so much, a 'particle'. Since her body still contains mass, adjusting her body to become that of a photon's would be impossible for her to move at speeds that is impossible to reach even by the fastest beings of Earth. To even to move at those speeds would mean that they have to become light themselves which would be a tough work too even for someone like herself.

Well, with its issues settled, it was to make her body as light as a particle to that of an atom's, and as circular as possible to remove any 'drag' from the wind once she moves under high speeds. With these done, now she fuels the entirety of her surrounding Dark Matter that compressed her body to that of a doorknob's, and unleashes that energy to create a large boom that blasts her right at speeds. Acceleration is a yes, but at this point, despite the distance covered between herself and Azuma, the only thing that his eyes would be able to catch up is a small, ball-shaped object that zooms right past him, nearing at speed that breaks the sound barrier at this point. Of course, she could slow down herself to the speed which Azuma is moving under by lowering down the energy output to the Dark Matter around her to moving at speeds equal to Azuma's speed that is moving under. From there, she would be able to reform her body right next to him in a split-second much like how her regeneration works all the time and floats right beside him. Even after regeneration her physical body back from the shape of a ball's, the Dark Matter that built her body still has the properties equal to that of an atom but of course, her body mass would have increased hundreds of times that would require her to use more energy output to keep her body afloat and move at equal speeds with Azuma.

"Like my new trick?"

With a smug look on her face towards Azuma, this technique is still incomplete, since it is clear that it is a hard task for her to maintain that small form of hers. Considering that she is used to having arms and legs, missing them in a compacted body would become complicated and sometimes, it will suddenly lose its speed and shape halfway through the journey. While she doesn't know what else that lacks of this ability of hers, she decides to try it out even more. With that chit-chattering done, she continues to maintains her physical body that continues itself equivalent with Azuma's speed, hoping that he could go faster than this. Well, the bet IS that the loser is going to something for the winner depending what bet would be about since they have not decided on what the loser should do yet. But now, this is just a race between the two of who would reach Australia first. No?

’..Hoo?.. Your good.. however. . Lets test this out shall we?”

Finally he had someone who wanted to push their limits, and this race? He wanted to see what he could do at his max, which was why first? He would have raised his hand as friction increased behind his legs and he would squat, the immense strain compiling thousands of pounds of pressure in a split second before he would launch off, sure his body had a limit but he wasn’t about to lose against this imperfect god, no instead as he began to speed up he would remove only the friction that was dragging him down until he would utilize his trumpcard, given his hollow controlled the realm of light? It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that he could “tap” into that affinity, which is what he would do, tapping into the intuitive ability to control light he decided it was time for him to “experiment” as well, and by using the concept that friction is the force that lets a person move at all, as such? He would apply this knowledge and he would instead of using his hollows light energy he would first change the friction variable on his legs and then? he’d change how briefly the contact was.

Simple right? But the results would be amazing before he’d get into light manipution, effectively quadrupling his speed for now breaking the hypersonic sound barrier, at this speed? It would the strange property of his body as he ascended into shikai wordlessly, and that veil around him that would allow him to for now move at truly absurd speeds, so fast infact that as he was moving the air behind him would ignite, leaving a path in the steaming water that he was moving across. This was how it always was between him and zwei, the relationship was different, peculiar. A mixture of some uncertainty, but a desire to push, to test and in his opinion to make this eternity that both of them would probably be living something less than boring, less than the drab grey of everyday existence.

It was strange, and he’d contemplate as he kept moving, adjusting the variation in how much force he was exherting himself and how much raw speed he was putting in, doing so specifically to continue acceleration, as zwei had said she wanted to test out this new technique and as such? He’d be slowly pulling everything he had out of himself to test this new skill, seeing as there was a definitive plus for him if she learned something new, it’d be another tool she’d be able to utilize for the monsuta, and because of that? He would suddenly shift again utilizing this time his traction induction/ control to rapidly accelerate over the water as yet another aftershock ripped past his shikai and friction armor, a wide grin expanding from one ear to the other as he was beginning to feel his leg muscles pump. That dormant beast was rising to the surface and it felt wicked good, and he couldn’t help but begin to test his limits in this state, while he wouldn’t be in his masked state of course it would still stand to reason that this state would be slightly under his masked state, for one specific reason.

In his merged form he had access to some of his hollow powers given the unique situation between his hollow and him , however because of the experimentation done to azuma his mask was a tad special ,something that couldn’t just be used willy nilly, as for the most part? His mask was something that broke mountains, it shook the world when it was in use and he couldn’t use it sparingly so as he looked over at zwei while zooming at speeds that would put modern fighter jets to shame he couldn’t help but asking.

”..Mind if i put on my mask?”

This would probably be an indicator to zwei how serious he was about this race, given his mask never goes, on but for now? He’d pause and wait to see what the girl had to say.

Enjoyment was the only word that was up for the role to describe the situation that she was in. Their destination was merely Australia itself, a scarred country that was left dusty from the remains of the Australia War and now on the verge of rebuilding itself back to the former land. However, their reunion played a role in this ordeal of 'fun' and 'enjoyment'. Never once that Zwei ever thought to have the same feeling again, after gaining much of her immortality since that day. At least, there was a person or two that do not judge merely by her powers. It was a great feeling to feel alive again, considering that she has been 'killed' so many times that Zwei even questioned her existence at the moment, but those questions seems to fade away now.

Her abilities were not simply seen, but acknowledged by Azuma, giving her a profound sense of challenge with the scale he decided to take up to. While their destination may be Australia, Zwei did think that they went way faster than needed in all honesty. At this point, it would just take a minute or two before they would arrive to Australia. Well, whatever. It is not everyday that she gets to enjoy this.

At the fast pace in which Azuma is going? Well, with her current technique that she was developing for this, it was still unstable for her to use it that efficiently. In a body made of nothing but photon particles, her body was as light as it could possibly be for the highest possible speed that it could reach. While Azuma is utilizing friction to boost his speed, Zwei uses her Dark Matter to change the properties of her body. With that aside, it comes to the simplicity in her method of further boosting her speed to catch up against Azuma.

How? Instead of compressing herself back to the size of a doorknob and outputting a load more energy just to catch up to the speed in which Azuma is moving under, she would create a distortion in the gravity around her. Ever heard of micro-gravity? We was going to do that here, not around the orbit of the Earth. Using her Dark Matter to scatter around herself, she would adjust the state of gravity of her body in which it would just weaker than it should, not to the point where gravity would not exist anymore in the area that she would literally float. It would be adjusted just exactly to the point where the space stations that is orbiting the Earth would experience. At this point? She would experience what they call 'free-falling'.

Her distance between herself may seem to be extremely short than those that orbits the Earth, weakening gravity would simply do the job that would allow her to 'fall into Earth' due to the gravity pulling her down. Since it is weakened though, she would be 'falling across' the surface of Earth that she is standing on. The difference? She would just be a few meters above the ground of Earth. Not only this would accelerate her speed by being 'pulled' by earth's gravity, boosted together by its rotation speed but because she is under the state where she is constantly 'falling', the speed that she would moving under would be ridiculously fast even without her body being compressed in such a size. Now to stack it up with the energy output that she releases to move at the speed of sound and body made of nothing but photons? Zwei would be moving with speeds that would be enough to split apart the sea beneath her and produce shockwaves that would clear the skies. At this point? She would be speeding enough to be on equal grounds with Azuma at hypersonic speed.

That may sound all fine and dandy, but without being tied down by the limitations of the human body, Zwei could probably move faster than she is doing right now. The only problem is that she was not made to move at high speeds, not to mention more that she rarely moved so fast to begin with, making her comparatively slower than the fastest beings on earth. It is due that they are moving in a straight line to Australia that allowed her to even move so fast to begin with, as such tactics would be hard to utilize in combat if she had to move with so much bends and curves in her movement. Unlike Azuma and those that are more into the field of speed, she has no control in her direction when she moves at hypersonic speeds. Considering the straight line and the speed? It was best for her not to go rough to move it up to ultrasonic speed. Why? It would be hard for her to stop later on when she reaches Australia and would most likely cause damages if she were to suddenly halt, like something to that of a car crash.

Though, talking would be hard at this moment, since now they are moving at a speed where sound would be a measly obstacle, making it hard for her to determine what Azuma was telling her in the first place. Her response to the unclear question? She nodded, pretending as if she heard whatever he said just now. Anything it may be, hopefully, she didn't respond in the wrong way. With both of them matching each other's speed equally, Zwei will see if he decides to go further than this. If so? Well, she will just compress her body to a smaller size to cut down her mass in order to move just only a few times faster than she is currently. Of course, they were going to reach Australia anytime soon and she has no intentions to destroy it.
