The Black World Infection is beginning to spread to other Gotei sections. In the kido corps, a black mist has been seen overflowing the division. People have begun to act strange in the form of creating fires, chanting "praise Black World!" and others have just plain dropped dead. It is an odd occurrence and a team of Shinigami are required to cleanse and purge this sector.

Stand Against

Screaming. Distress. The Alert. The air was thick and heavy with unusual spiritual energies. Sophia was immediately aware of the influx of reiastu and reishi within the Kido Corps. With precision and grace she dashed around her room preparing herself for any incoming event. Equipped with her Zanpakutō, emergency medical kit and her Healing Director coat she immediately went to the center of the living quarters. Seeing people being evacuated and moved deeper within the Kido Corps she moved quicker. Black Mist. Slowly individuals inched out of the black mist, some immediately fell to the ground. Others began to walk, with crazed eyes. She carefully examined the individuals who were escaping the smoke. The individuals started creating fires and screaming, "Black World?" Examining the environment she was attempting to figure out the origin of the black mist. What is this substance? "Everyone please evacuate immediately!" She would begin to assist anyone in the immediate vicinity, providing triage and emergency medical care. "We need to get you all on your feet and immediately retreat to the Kido Corps hub and center. There should be some emergent care facilities prepared for you by the time you get there!" Getting closer and closer to the danger that encroached upon the Kido Corps she began to notice more and more individuals escaping ominous black mist. Sophia's eyes glowered in their direction, "This is starting to get out of hand!"

Sophia stayed her distance but began to stifle the chaos. Looking towards a group of tranced individuals, she immediately brought her hand up to her face, index finger held up straight, "Bakudō # 1. Sai" With force, she swung her hand down towards the individuals restraining them and forcing them towards the ground. Looking over to her left side she saw more individuals running back and forth setting buildings on fire. What is going on? Preparing her binding spell, she struck the individuals on the other-side with the same spell, restraining them to the ground preventing further chaos. Sophia charged up reiastu in her hands and launched red sparks into the sky. Sophia calmly thought to herself, "That should be enough warning to anyone in the vicinity. Now... We need to alert everyone else." Calmly, Sophia looked around her, making sure she was in a safe position she began to meditate and focus her reiastu. Tying up her hair quickly she began to immediately draw markings up her arm. Sophia immediately took a deep breath, this technique although simple did require a lot of effort.

""Kokubyaku no ami!"

The markings on her arms began to dance with pink energies, slowly traveling down to her fingertips.

"Nijūni no kyōryō, rokujūroku no kantai. Ashiato, enrai, senpō, kaichi, yafuku, unkai, aoi tairetsu."


The air began to thicken with the pressure and strength of her will began to course through her body.

"Taien ni michite ten o hashire!"


She began to pant, the focus and the power this spell demanded was immense. She'd never cast this spell to such a degree before. Slowly spiritual particles around the area started to dance around her and she focused her energies into her spell. Sophia held her hands in front of her and instantly a square made of reishi appeared in front of her.

"Bakudō #77. Tenteikūra!!!!!"

From the square, burst a web of pure kido energy and after exhaling she shout,


"ATTENTION SOUL SOCIETY! CAPTAINS, LIEUTENANTS, ALLIES AND FRIENDS!!! THIS IS AN EMERGENCY ALERT FROM THE HEALING DIRECTOR, SOPHIA ASAMIYA! THERE HAS BEEN WIDESPREAD ARSON AND CHAOS WITHIN THE KIDO CORPS. IT SEEMS TO STEM FROM A DANGEROUS BLACK MIST. THEY ALSO SEEM TO BE CHANTING SOMETHING ABOUT, "Black World." THIS IS AN IMMEDIATE THREAT! ALERTING ALL SHINIGAMI OR ALLIES! EMERGENCY! ALL ACTIVE KIDO AND HEALING MEMBERS REPORT IMMEDIATELY TO THE KIDO CORPS ENTRANCE!"

Sophia's forehead began to sweat under the tax and strength of the spell...

"KIDO MEMBERS! Please start setting up a perimeter around the Kido Corps! Use multiple types of Kido Barriers, physical and energy based defenses. We need to prepare for everything! HEALING DIVISION! RED ALERT! Start preparing triage and immediate care facilities! We're going to be having a lot of patients! I better not see one patient not being treated or assisted! NOW! anyone who can, please report to where red sparks have appeared in the sky! This is the main vicinity of where the traffic of individuals are coming from! PLEASE HELP!!"

Finishing the message, Sophia immediately ended the connection. She was panting in exhaustion and strain. She couldn't let this stop her movements. She needed to prove something to the rest of the Soul Society. The Healing Division was a force to be reckoned with, in that instance, she grasped her Zanpakutō and threw it towards the sky. "Jibun Ni Naru! SHUKKETSU HĀTO!" Her katana spun gracefully in the air as it gather spiritual energies. Slowly the katana shaped into a smaller scepter, it released a warm comforting light that spread throughout the area. As the miniature sun settled, she caught the pearlescent scepter in the air and held it tightly. Sophia immediately called out, "SHUKKETSU HĀTO, SHIELD!!!" Tracing her Zanpakutō through the air a large wall of opaque pure reishi. Immediately erecting itself and creating a barrier separating the chaos and safety. Flicking her wrist, the large barrier became transparent glimmering pink material. Sophia followed through by shouting, "Anyone in need of attention please immediately head to this side of the barrier!"

Focusing in on the black mist, she walked through her barrier. Raising her scepter to across her chest, she whispered "Sword.." Around her, reishi particles which looked like petals slowly coalesced into three pink intricately designed short swords made of pure energy. Sophia began to walk towards the chaos, the blades that surrounded her danced and whirled gracefully at her side. "This is it..." Looking around to see if she had any allies near,

"We make our stand here! We cannot let any individuals get through that barrier! If you see any individual who is injured or hurt immediately bring them to me! I'll be able to get them walking and they can proceed to get fully healed at the care centers we have prepared."

Ryuzawa would never get used to the feeling of a sudden voice popping into his mind. The work of a Tenteikūra spell, he knew that, but so rarely did anyone have cause to use it that it was never expected. At the time, he had been as busy as ever. By way of personal training, he adhered to a strict routine of sword and hand-to-hand drills, Shunpo sprints around the Seireitei, and time on the Kido ranges. No Shinigami could ever rest on their laurels and call their skills perfect; there was always something new to learn.

He wasn't so tired that he couldn't make report to the site of Director Asamiya's apparent emergency, though. Out of a Shunpo, he stepped into air filled with her reiatsu; apparently the situation was dire enough that she had felt the need to release her Shikai, and now coordinated a response of a sort from behind a luminescent pink barrier of energy.

"Director!" he called, and fell in behind the shield. "How can I help?"

Stand Against Pt 2

A tall golden beauty surrounded by blades of pink dancing energy. Her back drop was the burning villages and people. It looked like beauty and pain all wrapped up in this dark vision. Sophia crept farther and father away from the wall. Screams and panic filled the air as she attempted to settle the situation around her. Her blonde hair began to dance in the wind as her reiastu spread throughout the area. Slowly bringing her hand in front of her she brought energy closer to her body. Anyone weaker than a captain-class would instantly begin to feel the air thin and feel the reishi being pulled away from them. From her peripheral vision she saw a young shinigami dashing towards her and slowly began to turn to him. As the shinigami finally creeped closer, she instantly bowed to him showing him a sign of respect, "Thank you for responding to my distress alert!" Looking up and smiling sweetly, her golden eyes twinkling in the fires surrounding them, "I currently have tried not to initiate any threat. But, this black substance is, from what I can tell, a mind controlling or mind-altering substance. These individuals have lost mental and motor control of their bodies and have posed a threat to the safety of the Soul Society." Sophia's eyes squinted and her eyebrows furrowed, "This threat isn't anything we've faced before... I think it would be in our best interest to eliminate the threat rather than let it linger. If we can, we may want to leave an some individuals alive, so we can further study them. But, we must ensure the security of the Soul Society, first and foremost." She looked over to the shinigami and her eyes softened.

Sophia gracefully walked her way towards the young shinigami. As she got into arms length, she gently cupped the side of his face. Her skin very soft as they depressed against his cheek. From the palm of her hand, pink healing energies began to flow from her into his body. Within his body, shinigami would feel a rush of calming, pleasurable and healing energies. Any exhaustion or strain his body was undergoing from his expeditious travel. Grinning slightly she managed softly, "I hope you aren't too tired there..." She giggled turning her body towards the flames and creeping darkness. Her hand dropped to his shoulder and she gripped his shoulder tightly. Letting go she walked forward confidently. Bringing her hand up a blade of energy danced itself into her grasp. Slowly digging her blade into the ground she drew a line across the dirt. Clearing her throat, speaking firmly,

"We cannot let them pass this line. Any individual that attempts to cross this line that is affected by these "infection"... eliminate them. If you find any civilians, do your best to help them, if you cannot heal them, find me. Stay away from the black mist. These are my orders. Do as you will."

Walking without fear or worry, she approached the screaming and mindless infected shinigami. Bursting from the building on her right, three shinigami's pale and covered with sweat charged at her instantly. The three shinigami's skin covered with a black-inky like substance. Throwing their hands in the air and wielding their blades, they immediately began to run towards Sophia with enraged eyes. Smoothly she danced around them avoiding their flaming strikes. Stopping in the middle of the hostile individuals, she looked back at Ryuzawa, winking sweetly at him. In the blink of an eye, blades of bright focused energy sprouted from the throats of the three shinigami. Turning away, she continued her graceful onslaught. Sophia danced through the screaming horde with speed and precision. Ribbons of translucent glimmering pink energy eviscerated any threat within her near vicinity.

"PRAISE BLACK WO--"

Immediately blades of energy would dance around the targets throat releasing a gush and wave of blood. The numbers of the possessed began to increase even as Sophia slayed quickly and efficiently. As she made her way along the width of the battlefield, she slowly trailed her sword on the ground. She began to draw markings and kido symbols throughout the dirt across the area. Backing away from the area returning where she had drawn the line, she brought her hands in front of her clasping her hands together and focusing. Slowly energy pulsated from her and a kido net began to form. As the wave pulsed throughout the area, wherever Sophia had battled through became filled with a translucent net. She began to pant, her fatigue became apparent. Closing her eyes and exhaling, she then shouted "NET!" The once translucent net began to glow a bright pink, holding back the hordes of mindless shinigami at bay.
