Before the attack even left his opponents fingertips Law had multiple layers of protection. Well, that was useful. He wasn't sure he really needed it, but he had no reason to complain, it would have been a tad painful to deal with all of that energy. He noticed the tension that surrounded the fact that there were Shinigami around, but it couldn't be helped. They needed to focus on the problem at hand before things got worse. The attack from Jiao-long crashed into the shield in front of him, and was deflected. It did at the same time however, break the shield into several pieces. As he looked over towards his opponent a few key things began to happen. Sing, by far the strongest combatant here, began to release several attacks aimed directly at the orb that Jiao-long was protecting. Law wasn't sure why, but this action didn't leave him with a good feeling. At the same time, she'd taken out many of the giants, but moments later Law looked on as the energy projectiles smashed into the orb. It showed no effect at first, but then began to crack. At first it seemed as if it might stabilize, but after a few moments the outcome was clear. The orb would soon break apart. As it did so more and more of the energy began to flow out of it, now perceptible, and something entirely different. Some of this energy went to powering Jiao-long. As this was happening Law noticed the Shinigami was preparing to attack, and decided he would follow her slashes up with a few of his own. He used shunpo to position himself across from Murasaki, with the mans body between them, and focused on attacking the opposite side of Jiao-long's body. He held his nodachi low, slashing upwards diagonally. He swung quickly and efficiently, and the destructive force from his attack should have been quite noticeable in any normal scenario. At the same time he entered shikai by uttering his release phrase.

"Cry, Kikoku."

As soon as he entered this state his blade began to become charged. A spark traveled up and down its length, although it was easy to tell that whatever effect this would have had not yet manifested itself. It would soon become apparent what that effect was.

Jiao-long began to laugh as his attack dissipated against the kido made shield that had materialized in front of his initial opponent. That wasn't the reason for his laughter however, Something much more sinister is what had caused this outburst. In their rush to stop what he'd been doing his enemies had only furthered his own goals. What he laughed about was of course the fact that they'd began the destruction of the orb much more quickly than its natural power output would have allowed for. He too, would have been able to do little to hurry it along before his power-up, and since then the opportunity hadn't presented itself. He needed to conserve his energy in order to hold off these people, either way.

With a large outburst of energy he battered through the kido that was thrown his way, but moments later he was hit with yet another obstacle to overcome. Two shinigami, attacking him from directly opposing angles. Empowering his physical body tremendously Jiao-long reacted with intimidating speed and accuracy, not to mention what a display of durability it was. Before the blades had neared him he'd managed to stop them with merely the use of his arms. Law's blade he caught in his hand, Murasaki's blades he stopped with his forearm. Without a moments notice he repelled these forces violently, intending to send both of his attackers blades reeling back. As he did so he began to notice an incredible shaking in the ground. It seemed as if the very planet itself were being torn asunder. As this happened he began to laugh once more, much more enthusiastically this time, and then he spoke.

"You've really done it now, all of your efforts have only served to further my own goals. The fruition of my endeavors is finally upon is, prepare to know true power."

As the ground shook and groaned it began to become more and more unstable. Soon great chunks of earth were beginning to give out around them, falling away into an abyss with no visible end. The rumble was incessant, and louder than anything most would ever hear. Only moments after a rather large chunk fell away a magnificently furious roar could be heard. It would have easily been heard for miles, and the very sound of it shook the air. The dragon had awoken.

With no warning another large section of the ground was suddenly completely gone. The section directly underneath the stone section which Law, Jiao-long, and Murasaki now stood on. This time it hadn't fallen into the nothingness though. No, far from it, it had been smashed upwards from below. The very ground had been completely pulverized instantly, and it appeared to have taken no effort whatsoever. All who stood on the platform would likely be thrown violently in all directions. Another great roar filled the air, this one even louder than the previous had been. Once more he saw the light of day.

The dragon was a great red beast, and astoundingly large, completely dwarfing all who stood around it. Its ferocity and insanity were clearly visible on its face, and the power it gave off would be unbearably crushing for most. He had no ability to control his energy output, as his rage knew no bounds. Kanghui had been locked away for what seemed like an eternity. Once he had even been able to communicate with humans, but over the years he'd grown more and more feral. His mind could focus on only one thing. The complete and utter destruction of everything around him until there was nothing left. Starting off with a bang, the dragon coated the ground in front of himself with a noxious flame, targeting the lifeforms that were gathered. He didn't stick around to worry about them though. After he fried the area the dragon took off, paying very little attention to any possible counterattacks or advances. This city was already basically destroyed, he'd find another to take out his frustrations on.

There wasn't much time for Sing to digest and process most of the environment around her. In the perception of the Princess everything narrowed and focused on the sudden eruption of power which had devoured the area when the surge of a power which required her direct attention emerged from the depths of the ground beneath her feet. In fact, in a matter of seconds, she found herself riding atop a scaly beast that hungered for destruction and it caused her to otherwise let out a sort of confused laughter. As, for starters, she wasn't prepared to suddenly face off against a fire-breathing dragon. And, for two, she wasn't sure if she should feel angry, bewildered or dazed for a few moments.

So, out of a primal response, as soon as the woman was taken away from the depths of the chamber, she'd ignite the heavens themselves in an explosion with enough force to otherwise level a small city in order to test the durability of this creature and begin thinking of a game plan to deal with this new menace to society. There wasn't much time to really indulge in anything else as the heat of the explosion melted all around it, the sounds of the eruption of energy deafened all else before it's wake and the center of destruction could cause for immense scapes, bruises and wounds to begin opening up across the foe in order to otherwise start picking it to pieces and beginning this onslaught of monster vs man.

For now, however, this would be but a distant clash of power. As, by this point, all those who found themselves in the depths of combat within the cavern could feel the far earthquakes of these two masses of energy facing against one another. Since this battle was meant to otherwise keep those without the fortitude to face off with such a beast at a large distance away from the scene of hell that was sure to awaken in the heavens above them.

[I'm assuming that this will be Sing's closing post and we will be resuming this in a new thread. So excuse the shortness of it as I feel we should just get this thread and event moving forward.]

Well, this was fun. The most powerful Kidos she was capable of using by herself, both defensively and offensively, were swatted aside as one would hit a fly with a fly swatter. Her shield smashing to pieces in one hit and the Black Coffin simply exploding without doing anything. If a Hadō 90 didn't work, then there was only one chance remaining, and a chance she had to take. ignore the giant dragon that just appeared from under the ground, if she couldn't deal with the man thing, then setting her sights on an even stronger opponent was a foolish idea and she wasn't one to enact foolishness. Sing would deal with that, and Hannah would throw everything she had at the impossible man and die exhausted and content. Falling into despair wasn't something she liked doing.

"Release Restraint to Level 0. Bakudo 61: Rikujōkōrō" throwing down the six rods, she spoke with absurd speed, words spilling out as if she spoke several of them at the same time. And her staff exploded into action, the crook bending to be the point of a spear, and massive Reishi wings blazing out of it as the full power was released for this one time. The incantation strengthened the Bakudo, and her staff blazed with glory to strengthen it further, but even then with his power it would last a few seconds at best. Fortunately, Hannah only needed a few seconds as the second Kido Cartridge was loaded and she spoke again, a lot slower this time.

Hannah found it humorous that such a Dragon-related Kido was used after a Dragon was released from wherever it was imprisoned, and laughed softly as it fired at the man. Her staff couldn't help this Kido because it was not fired by her and loading them in was impossible. But now she had thrown all she had at the man, she could die when he brushed it off and counter-attacked, knowing that she had done all she could and this was simply too high a scale for her.

Jiao-long had obviously been expecting the dragon, and so it came as no surprise to him when it erupted from beneath their feet. He almost effortlessly removed himself from harms way and enjoyed the show that was set in motion before him. After a moment he was happy to see that the dragon had drawn the attention of the only foe he'd been even remotely worried about, and that they were leaving the battlefield. At the same time he noticed one of the other women preparing quite the ironic kido. No matter, he should still have the power to deal with it, for the moment at least. He readied himself to deal with the brunt of the blast, but at the exact moment he was going to launch his defenses he noticed himself being attacked from another angle. Law was making great strides towards him, and would be launching his own attack in mere moments. Although only moments ago this would have been no problem, the energy he'd stolen from the orb was leaving him fast. He had to make a choice, he could defend completely against either attack, or he could chose to defend both in a sub-par manner. Either way, after this he'd be back to his original strength. He chose to defend against both.

Much in the same way he'd done before Jiao-Long raised both of his hands towards the direction of his attackers in an attempt to absorb their energy. Unfortunately, he'd underestimated the strength of these attacks, and both of his hands were damaged in what appeared to be an excruciating way. Both of his arms were scorched and blackened up to the middle of his forearms, and he was visibly exhausted. The effect of their attacks in concert had been too much for him to deal with, and he was now much more vulnerable. Jiao-Long was aware of all of this, and he was even cognizant of the fact that he might not make it out of this encounter alive, but he was content with that. It didn't really matter at this point. He'd put up the best fight he was capable of and then rest easy, knowing that he'd accomplished the mission his order had only ever dreamed would be completed. He'd done what they all thought was impossible.

The old man raised his blackened arms once more, preparing to defend himself from whatever would next come his way. At this point there didn't seem to be such a fiery determination coming from him. It would be wrong to underestimate him, but no one who was there would be able to ignore the marked shift in the tone of the battle. It seemed that with his goal accomplished the old man was simply... less than he had been before. He still appeared a dangerous adversary, but there was a fire in his eyes that had gone missing now.
