The events of the world had certainly been moving at a rapid pace. All of the world's strongest were preparing for what would inevitably come; world war four, a cataclysmic event that would be sure to alter and shift the direction of earth itself, to say nothing of the other realms. Catherine had not yet included herself in exactly any specific thing her Queen had been participating in, be they meeting or battle, but her support never wavered.
She certainly had her worries of whether not her crusade against Mana would end in victory, granting the Sueki a victory for the history book, but she would remain loyal to the end. Claire was a masterpiece of a woman, her emotions and ambitions crafted in such unique design, that Catherine could not help but to fall for her. How she even chose her to follow her around still managed to invoke surprise in the raven-haired woman as she found herself juggling cards around within her room.
Marvelously lavished with the finest items one could buy, there were lovely glass mirrors which shone with such vibrant light that, every reflection of herself was a joy to behold. There was a graceful mural located within the center of the ceiling; designs of the King, Queen, Joker, and Jack all within the center point. There was even a pet bunny that Catherine liked to pet and use for her magic tricks whenever she took a stroll out into the city. Everything in her room was suited to her desires and her exhibitionist nature.
To call her vain was not necessarily false. She reveled in showing off and being the center of attention. That she happened to be the center of her attention to such a fierce leader as Claire was merely icing on the cake. That woman was truly fantastic. She wondered if she happened to be around the castle.... if so, she would certainly like to see her.
Claire had been having a rather uneventful day so far, so in her boredom she decided to make her way around the castle in hopes of finding something interesting. In the end, she still wasn't quite sure where to go, so she figured she'd flip a coin. Tails. Well, that was that. With no further hesitation she began to walk down the long corridor that separated her own room in the castle from the others. The delicate tapestry that covered the floor brushed against the bottoms of her feet with each step she took, which made for a quite pleasant sensation. That was the entire reason she'd had so many placed. She had always enjoyed walking through her own home with bare feet, which wasn't something she would enjoy doing if the floor were cold, hard stone.
Before long she found herself in front of the large, dark wooden door that led to Catherine's room. It had been quite some time since the girl had began living with Claire, and in that time she'd had a rather comfortable life. Claire though about that for a moment, and realized that she'd developed a sort of habit out of finding girls down on their luck and brightening their lives through controlling them. A worthwhile calling. She never bothered knocking on the door, she always simply opened it and let herself in. Sometimes it gave her quite the kick.
"Anything interesting happening in here? I hope you aren't getting into trouble."
The way she said this was quite provocative. She was thoroughly aware of Catherine's unique interests, and never let an opportunity to tease her about it slip her by. She seemed to revel in it, which was all the better. The more of an emotional reaction she could garner from the girl the more useful it was to have her living in the castle. The fact that it also excited her somewhat was just an added benefit.
As if the gods themselves had granted her wish, the Queen of the hour had blessed her with her presence. She didn't even bother knocking at the door; Catherine smiled at how boldly she entered her room. She rarely ever did so. If anything, Claire was well-aware of how she loved to be caught in the act of something. She loved to be mischievous, even in a peaceful setting like this.
She equally enjoyed to be under the watchful eye of the Sueki Queen as well - thoroughly enjoying how she would playfully scold her for involving herself in quirky situations. At that moment, sadly, Catherine seemed to be having no more than your normal day.
Simple relaxation, really.
However, as she saw her queen gracefully enter the room - bare-footed no less - Catherine could do nothing but gaze at the form of Claire. She normally assumed that Claire was not one for flattery and often wasn't too fond of passing out cheesy compliments herself(though, if they were thrown Catherine's way, she would hardly complain) but it was as if she was gazing upon a statue or a doll carved out of the finest materials earth could offer.
She was attracted to her, of course, but every time she set eyes upon the queen, it was a sight to behold. Clothed within a nightgown and a pair of her cherished fishnets, one might assume she was prepared for a bit of intimacy considering the reputation of fishnets themselves and the individuals who usually wore them. However, in Catherine's case, she loved to wear revealing clothing in order to elicit a reaction. It was simply her thing.
Intimate or non, if it elicited a reaction or stirred up attention, she loved it. Always brought in good cash to play around with for her magic acts, too. Rising from her bed, Catherine walked towards Claire and bowed before her - gracefully and reverently - as she opened her arms and brought the queen within her warm embrace. Flashing a delightful smile, she tilted her head in curiosity, posing a question to the Queen.
" No trouble here, your highness, much as it pains me to say. Although I must ask... What have I done to earn the graceful company of our queen today? You have been so busy lately - I hardly expected to see you. Not complainin' at all, though. I haven't snooped around or anything but I can tell a lot has been placed on ya' shoulders lately. Pesky demons and their little cuckoo leader. " Although Catherine never often took matters seriously until they required her attention, dutifully tending to the mood of her queen was something she made a habit of.
Claire always enjoyed the devotion her subjects showed her. In fact, she reveled in it. Of course, she didn't generally express this, or much about her own personal feelings at all. Perhaps it was due to the fact that she was constantly dealing with others emotions in her day to day life, but for a long while now Claire had been very disconnected from her own emotional responses. There were a few exceptions to that rule though. First, if aspersions were cast upon her pride in herself or her people. In situations such as those Claire was quite prone to experiencing extreme anger. It wasn't a red hot anger, but more of a cold contempt. The second exception was when she was in the company of those who were most faithful to her. She experienced a unique blend of emotions when that was the case, all of which were desirable. Truthfully, she was the happiest when surrounded by those who adored her. As Catherine bowed before her Claire felt these emotions become more refined, stronger, and more easily recognizable. Shortly afterwards they embraced, and she noticed a few other emotions, although this time they weren't her own.
Catherine's emotions were quite complex, although she could still understand them if she took a moment to unravel everything. She had seen when she entered the room the way the other woman looked at her now, and her emotions confirmed it beyond a shadow of a doubt. It was interesting, to say the least. When they'd first met it was obvious that Catherine had no romantic feelings towards women, but it seemed as if that had started to change. She wondered if it was only herself or if Catherine had changed more drastically. Claire wasn't even sure if the other woman had recognized the extent of it herself yet. Of course, she was mainly to blame for all of that. Before their hug came to a close she placed her hands on Catherine's hips, then let her fingers slide downwards over her fishnets seductively, alternating between skin and thread. It was an interesting sensation, but one that only lasted a brief moment. She monitored the emotions that were being given off while she did this, and if she amplified them a bit, well, did that really matter?
Breaking off their embrace Claire smiled warmly and shifted her stance slightly before responding.
"I'm glad to hear it. As for why I'm here... Well, now that Romania is ours again I'd like to enjoy it. A celebration if you will, to signify the change in management. I'm going to see my people today, and you will come with me. First we'll visit a few more rural areas, probably do some site seeing along the way. Then we'll have a small lunch somewhere private before making preparations for the feast we'll be having tonight. Bucharest sounds nice."
Claire placed her hand on Catherine's cheek as she neared the end of what she had to say. Slowly, but without apprehension, she pressed her own lips against the other woman's. The kiss was short and sweet, but she could feel Catherine reacting to it quite dramatically, which pleased her. She soon broke their contact once more, as she had more to say.
"Get ready for a day out, then meet me by the gate. Ten minutes."
As she was saying this Claire turned, leaving the room slowly, but confidently. It was going to be an interesting day.

Sweet mother of Maria, the spellbinding spell that Claire held over Catherine was equal parts of enchanting and magical. Catherine was aware that Claire had a way of manipulating the emotions. Even so, the way she had done so made her seem as if she was never fully aware of the grasp the woman had on her emotions. In all honesty, Catherine had never openly revealed in the thought of being with a woman. She wasn't repulsed by the fairer sex but the thought never really crossed her mind.
Yet when Claire had brought the mischievous exhibitionist under her wing, she seemed to be singing a different tune as the days passed. Holding the Sueki queen within her embrace did nothing but to enhance the emotions flowing through her body. Euphoria. When those elegant fingers slid gracefully over her legs, the faint sensation had made her feel even more elated.
A pang of disappointment filled her facial expression as she felt her pull away momentarily. A woman could go mad over someone like the Queen. Listening intently, it seemed that Claire had intentions to indulge in a celebration after securing Romania once more. What she had planned in the store was unequivocally amazing. A fine date if there ever was one! Sight-seeing, meeting the residents and other Sueki, a small lunch date, and a fine feast to end the day. She had the feeling even if she refused, Claire would still pull the strings on her emotional integrity and convince her otherwise.
"It would be an honor to accompany you, dear- " Before she could even finish her reply, Claire had placed a hand on her milky-white cheek, placing a brief kiss upon the red, lipstick covered lips of the mischievous magician. A rosy blush formed on her cheeks as she blinked before watching Claire make her way to the door, announcing orders to the raven-haired woman. Meet her at the gate in ten minutes. She would follow that direction in half the time. Nodding with reverence in her eyes, Catherine beamed towards her closet, preparing a set of clothes for herself in order to start this grand day.
Claire was quite pleased with the way Catherine was reacting to her subtle manipulation. She had known from the onset that the other woman had no physical interest in her, and so she had decided to change that. Perhaps it could be considered cruel, to fiddle with the very core of a person's beliefs, but that didn't concern her much. Claire did basically whatever she pleased. That wasn't to say that she was evil though, no, on the whole she was a force for good. She could be deceitful at times, even outright diabolical, but that wasn't because she had evil intentions. She simply found that, for the most part, the ends did indeed justify the means. There was also the fact that she enjoyed toying with people whenever she got the chance, to see just how much she could alter them from their original state. This quality was one of the main points against her when it came to being truly benevolent. Still, her efforts generally led to progress.
She thought of this while she made her way back down the long hallway, once more entering her own chambers. She had some preparation to do herself if she were to go out and meet her people. She would obviously wear the normal attire she wore when in this form, but the accoutrements had yet to be decided. The main body of her outfit was a deep, royal purple, and in several places large, pristine rubies were embedded into the material. Normally she would wear the more plain additions. Her gloves would be simple cloth, her arm braces sleek metal, but today was different. No, today she would appear every bit the Queen she was. She wore the ruby encrusted outfit, and all of the ruby encrusted additions she'd had prepared. Her choker held the largest ruby, which rested just in front of her face, while the others circled her neck equidistantly. Rubies were set into her gloves and arm braces as well, although they were slightly smaller. The real change, however, was in the boots. Generally she wore platform shoes, which were rather plain. Today she swapped them out for a different pair. They looked quite similar, however this new pair of boots was also ruby encrusted, and instead of the platform soul that usually adorned her footwear, these had remarkably high heels. She was still showing off quite a bit of skin, and the outfit only added to her natural allure.
While she was getting all of this put together, she once more thought of Catherine, and how she was toying with her. It couldn't be said that she wasn't doing what she thought was best for both Catherine, and the Sueki as a whole. She wanted her new entourage to be very closely knit, and this was a very simple way of doing that. It required much less effort and time than if she were to go about it in a different way using her emotional manipulation, and it was exponentially quicker than if she hadn't relied on her power at all. In the end, she did have a reason for everything that she did. That didn't mean that she couldn't enjoy it, however.
Having finally properly prepared herself, Claire left her bedroom and made her way to the front entrance. In a matter of moments she reached her destination. Today was certainly going to be an interesting one. She very much looked forward to meeting some of the subjects who hadn't had the chance to lay eyes on her. This whole setup, however, was for a larger end goal. She would visit the rural areas and show them her power directly, ensuring their loyalty. Then she would commence her feast in Bucharest, where she would subject all of her subjects to her own emotional control. It wouldn't be too hard for her to accomplish. Her plan was actually quite simple. She'd rile the crowd up to feed off of their own emotional energy, then use it against them. All of this, to ensure the stability and security of her own realm. Bringing Catherine along was just an added benefit, one that she was sure to take advantage of. She'd drive the younger woman mad before the day was out. Not literally though...
