Recovery [WW4 Intermission Thread][Open]

The strain of unleashing Bankai and using it's ability to control Antimatter alone would've required some downtime, however the damage he sustained from clashing repeatedly with the Neoveta Shell and using a multi-layered God Slayer meant at the very least he could not immediately move onto another battlefield. While he had found himself successful in the first stage of the globe-spanning World War 4, having fended off an invasion while essentially single-handedly destroying one of Shadow Fall's most powerful assets and preventing mass casualties, Stefan was disappointed in the amount of damage he had sustained. Thick bandages wrapped around the entirety of his torso, down both arms, and over his hands. If it wasn't for the loosely worn purple jacket and black pants Stefan currently found himself in, to most it'd appear as if he had barely survived a house fire; though truthfully, this wasn't entirely wrong. The main injuries he'd received in combat were burns which, after treatment, gave off a dull throbbing pain now ignored by Stefan.

Wanting to observe how effective his Spiritual Pressure had been in defending the City of Light's populace, Stefan was now walking among the city's streets just a couple days after the battle. By now all the demonic and Quincy corpses had been either destroyed or removed, leaving naught but damaged buildings and concrete as proof anything significant had occurred. However, the City bustled with life as it's denizens quickly got to work repairing the damage sustained during the course of the invasion. Luckily while many demons had managed to enter the city, the bulk of the enemy forces had been killed off by Stefan's initial attacks and those whom survived were unable to accomplish much thanks to the combined efforts of his Reiatsu and the Quincy forces fending them off. Still, Stefan didn't care for any kind of thanks or gratitude from the people he'd just saved from total destruction. Avoiding the gaze of thankful citizenry was a simple matter as they were all so preoccupied with reconstruction and thus his movements through the City largely went unnoticed.

Stopping to stand on a street corner at the outer limits of the City, Stefan's green eyes focused on the most noticeable damage achieved by his enemies in the form of craters and torn apart suburbs. "Bah! I thought I was stronger than this. Dispatching any enemy should've been a cakewalk, and now look at this shit. Next time I'll wipe 'em all out in an instant." While practically any other individual in his shoes would've been satisfied with their success, Stefan was no such kind of person. Though he'd barely tapped into his higher forms of power, the Vizard knew his threat to the Shell about killing Mana, Deveta, and any other Shadow Fall bigwig he'd come across meant fighting the strongest enemies imaginable. For this reason he could not afford to sit and relax while others continued to make their moves in the world.
