» Physical Appearance Description:

The physical appearance of Rengoku is noticeable different from most, often being called strange or cute depending on who is looking. The most noticeable and unique thing about Rengoku is his long and wild bright yellow hair that has red streaks throughout, making his head look as if it were on fire. Rengoku typically keeps his hair in a pony tail with several bangs hanging to the side of his face. This hair is a signature of all males within his family. Other unique traits to Rengoku is his distinctively fork shaped eyebrows and fiery golden colored eyes. He stands at a height of 5’9” with a body type of very muscular and defined thanks to all of his training. Clothing wise Rengoku typically sports a semi-loose fitting black Kimono tucked into a pair of black Umanori Hakama. Over his waist he wears a fire patterned Obi, fitting his families fire theme and choosing wooden geta sandals as his choice of footwear. Over his clothing he wears a white and yellow Haori that has red flame like ridges at the ends.

Bluntly Honest : If anyone knows him, Rengoku is a very blunt and honest man. It was instilled into him to always be truthful and to never sugar coat what he as it could cause more problems for the other person later. However Rengoku isn’t above apologizing to a person if he feels that he was a bit harsh when talking or was wrong about what he said.

Brazen: The most prominent trait of Rengoku is that is very bold and shameless character. He does and says whatever he wants too with the utmost confidence and without unwavering. This is because his mother had always pushed him to do his best and let nothing stand in his way, including nurturing the bold nature of the man even more.

Kind: Another trait his mother had introduced to him was that of kindness. Rengoku is known to be one of the most kind person some people have ever met, as he will actively go out of his way to help someone in need. The need could be big or small ranging from helping someone across the street to protecting someone with his life.

Serious Cultivator: Rengoku dedicates his life to Wulin and the art of Cultivation. This is because the family that he comes from is deep rooted into Wulin, having blood that goes back to the age of might. He hopes to reach the realm of the heavens and become one of the greatest cultivator in Wulin history.

Battle Oriented: Thanks to his father’s blood and having to train with his siblings in mock battle since they were children, Rengoku is very battle oriented. He loves the thrill of a good battle with a strong opponent and even has the bad habit of running into battle without thinking sometimes.

Fiery Passion: Rengoku is a very passionate person and has a burning passion for everything that he does. He will put his all into something and never half ass as he believes that if you anything you should put your all into it or not do it at all.

» History

Kasai’s story begins with his family, the Rengoku clan. The Rengoku were an infamous family born in the ancient times of Wulin and were known to be ruthless warriors who produced many talented cultivators through the ages. In the age of might the clan began gaining more fame as they had produced Yu-Shan level Cultivators and won many battles throughout the age before the peerless genius showed up and showed them just how much further they could go. Sometime during the time where dragons roamed, one of his ancestors had managed to subdue and mate with a dragon making more than five children who would go on to have other powerful descendants. Eventually leading to the birth of Kasai Regoku, the blood descendant of dragon.

Like most in his family, he was the first born out of four and was born a very healthy boy that was teeming with life. He loved being a first child but also hated it, as his father is the head of the Rengoku clan meaning that he was always busy trying to find a way to get the clan and Wulin back to its original state with other family leaders. Around the age of four his mother had gotta pregnant with twins and this time was also when Kasai’s father began his training so that he could enter the world of Cultivation and Wulin.

It seemed that Kasai had gained some talent from his blood, as he had naturally picked up Cultivating and learning the Tai Chi Fist. Whilst he finished training one day, he was taken to see a friendly battle between two gold rank Cultivators. They clashed gracefully and showed much more skill than he had seen up till this point, filling him with awe and blazing excitement as he saw them fight. It is from that day forward that child decided that he would spend his life becoming one of the greatest to ever live. This dream was furthered by the stories his father would tell him about the man known as Aang Feng, the only man known to reach the Realm of the Heaven.

As Kasai grew so did his abilities, being able reach the Silver realm at the age of fourteen. Around this time, Kasai’s mother had birthed three more children with his twin brothers being nine and their youngest brother being seven. Whilst their father continued his mission to better Wulin, Kasai left it up to himself to teach his younger siblings. Often making and participating in mini fighting tournaments to see who was the strongest, which was Kasai of course. When Kasai turned fifteen things had gotten worse for his family, as his mother had been stricken with an incurable disease. Since his father was more than often too busy, Kasai was left taking care of her and his siblings. His mother had only managed to live to see Kasai reach the age of sixteen, dying the same night after celebrating his birthday with him and his siblings.

After Kasai and his father planned her funeral, he went into a sort of depression to loose the only woman he had ever loved. However he didn’t let the depression take over him, seeing as even though she was gone he still had his siblings to take care of. He used this time to train himself even harder so that he could make his mother proud and continue towards his goal of reaching the realm of heaven. One day while training, a stranger had approached him and asked for a duel. Kasai agreed as he had never gotten to test his skill and wanted too see how far he had actually come since his beginning days. The man had introduced himself as Iori and was practitioner of Shinmeiryuu. Their battle went on for half a day as they both found themselves on equal footing with it ultimately ending in a draw between the two. This lead to them becoming very close friends who often trained to see who could best one another.

During their friendship, Kasai has eventually decided that he wanted to learn Shinmeiryuu like his friend and asked him if he could teach him. Even though Kasai had never picked up a sword, when he did it was like he had been using it for awhile. This fact made it easier for Kasai to learn Shinmeiryuu and easier for Iori to teach him. As they where on equal footing and still in the silver realm around the time, Kasai looked for a master of Shinmeiryuu who could take him even further. Kasai has eventually found one and along with Iori would train under him for years to come.

Years later at the age of 25, Kasai managed to break into the gold realm. As he ran home to share the good news with his father, he found himself staring at a sight of pure destruction. His family home and the surrounding area where torn to pieces like a calamity had come through and destroyed it all. Kasai panicked as he went looking for his family, wondering just who could have done this. The search was a quick one, as he had found his siblings nearby fighting with a group of demons. Angered by the sight, Kasai rushed in and dispatched of the demons rather quickly. His siblings were happy to see their older brother but collapsed from exhaustion as he was told the beast had shown up out of nowhere and their father was fighting the boss. They pointed him in the direction of where they last saw their father and Kasai told them to go get help and he ran towards his father with his sword drawn.

When Kasai found himself on the scene, he was greeted with a image of his bloodied face and body fighting an seemingly unharmed demon. They both moved with blinding speed as they fought, letting himself see the difference between the gold and black gold cultivators. The difference between himself and his dad. He had never actually seen his father in battle before but even he saw that the strong man needed help against the beast. Even though he was afraid he might get in his fathers way, he would rather help than watch him die. He didn’t want to loose another parent. Pushing himself to the limit, Kasai managed to battle the overwhelming demon with his father and come out with a win. Even though they both had managed to beat the demon, they both came out with serious damage but was not fatal thanks to help arriving.

Kasai was great to see the next day but realized that he still had ways to go before reaching his place in the heavens. Over the next decades of his life, Kasai continued to train and push himself, constantly fighting hollows and demons that threatened Wulin and his family. Along the way he has met various people, even some of the most influential of clan leaders. Around the age of fifty five Kasai broke into the realm of gold similar to his father, gaining himself a new respect from people but still seeing himself having a long way to go. Recently, after fighting what seems like thousands of hollows and demons, he realized he had never really left his home and met others outside of Wulin. He now wishes to see what new adventures and battles the world has in store for himself.



» Equipment:

The Purgatory Blade:

A gold rank engraving soulforged sword that has a blade made from red metal taken from red colored ore. The blade itself is very polished and is sharpened to almost perfection making it easier to cleave through things. The sword also has a flame like hamon going down the blade, making it seem as if the sword itself is on fire. Looking at the Tsuba, it is designed like a flame as well and has orange, red and yellow color forming from the edge to the center of the tsuba in said order. The Fuchi, metal piece between the guard and handle of the blade, is orange with red flame pattern covering it. The handle of the blade is rather plain, being wrapped in all white with no other special detail.

The metal of the blade is actually one of the five great metals of Wulin known as Jenhu. The metal allows for better conductibility between Kasai and the blade, not having to exert so much energy while using it. Looking at the bottom of a blade near the tsuba, there lays a symbol that was engraved in the blade by the Kasai who made the piece of equipment. The engraving is filled with the power of his Dantian of black gold rank, making it one of modern Wulin’s rarest pieces of equipment.

The potent energy which was used to create the engraving on the blade grants the sword more power than the the normal inscription soulforged equipment and even more power than mundane equipment all together. The already potent sharp edge of the blade is arguments to be able to easily slice through steel and bones. The engraving also makes the durability of the blade sore, at black gold rank it is near impossible to damage or break the blade with only the strongest able to do so.

Comprehension:

Perhaps one of Kasai’s most strongest racial skills are his strong understanding when it comes to Cultivation Techniques. The man has spent hours to days to months cultivating from early childhood to the point where he found it interesting enough to delve deeper into the world of Cultivation Techniques. Over the last couple of decades he has invested most of his time into researching them that he has sacrificed countless hours of sleep to do research and has even traveled to find more information. One day he hopes to use all of his knowledge to create books and Cultivation techniques that could help potentially restore Wulin to its once great state.

Physique:

Due to the daily martial meditation regime that Kasai keeps himself on, he has gained a pretty built body that can be easily noticeable should he strip. Thanks to his daily martial meditation, the physical energy in his body is vast enough to allow him to lift, run and last longer than any regular human or even some other cultivators in modern Wulin. Daily martial cultivation isn’t the only thing that goes into keeping his body in shape as he also must be wise on what he eats, sticking to a certain diet that he had made for his body.

Talent:

The Rengoku clan has been been around Wulin since ancient times, having produced numerous powerful cultivators throughout once the age of might began and have been actively aiding Wulin since it’s fall. However during the world wars and the bad luck that feel upon them, most of their history, teachings, and fame have been lost to time making them one of the lesser clans. However not everything was lost and teachings of the clan have helped Kasai in his cultivating journey and allowing him to grow a bit faster then some.

Support Skill:

Kasai is one of the few Soul Forgers in Modern Wulin, having started the craft when he was just fifteen. He actually showed skills in forging and was able to pick it up pretty fast. However after taking up studying cultivation, he had neglected his skills for a few decades before finally picking it back up and finding his old master to continue his lessons. He is good enough to sell some of his forgings but still has some way to go before being able to have soul forging as a full time job.

Cultivation Technique-

Six Dances of Heaven: This is a martial meditation technique that Kasai developed along his many years of studying Cultivation of of old from his family books and other sources. Kasai does a six-step stance in rapid succession and repetition making it look as if he were dancing and allows him to cultivate at two times the normal rate.

Light Foot: This sends energy to the feet and allows the user to kick off in a rapid flash of movement, moving rapidly, with speed scaling off the energy, off one's Dantian. This is the Tai Chi Human's movement technique, equal to Sonido, Shunpo and Hirenrenyku.

Standardized Technique - Rank 6 - Thousand Blooded Threads: A strong technique created for Shinmeiryuu, It manifests the Shen used to power it as shining spiritual threads, that wrap around the target and then pull tight, restraining them or even slicing into their skin if their durability is low enough in relation to her Dantian. This technique is exhausting beyond usual Rank 6s because it extrudes the energy outwards, rather than being on an internal cycle, and so is used sparingly, as if it were Rank 9 [currently the threshold is Advanced. This is a standalone technique, and is not required to be in a stance]

Standardized Technique - Rank 7 - The Caress of Hell: A technique for the Keihatsu stance, it is a weakened version of it's mighty brother, Caress of a Thousand Hells. It is merely a single cut as opposed to three, but strikes without the arrogant forewarning of a Thousand Hells, making it a good trump card to play in a heated battle.
