Two Month Old Birthday Cake (Abalia/Elyss)

Well, that got her to pause at the door. Did Abalia just agree that people overreact sometimes? God. Yes! That’s exactly what Elyss is thinking. However, she doesn’t say anything and just tries to keep from chuckling, a wry smile on her face. Did she expect for Abalia to say that? No fucking way. But, that’s what came out of the Captain Commander’s mouth. Elyss almost walked out of the office thinking that she needed to rethink her whole approach with everyone. However, that still doesn’t help her understand what to do with Makoto. One thing at a time though.

“...A-Ah. Well, if you’re alright with it, I’ll stop by now and then.”

Did she just stutter a bit? That’s a bit uncharacteristic of her, but she couldn’t help feeling a bit put on the spot. She did not expect any of that. Abalia inviting her back? And here she was thinking she messed up the woman’s lunch with her shenanigans. It enough to even put a small blush on her face. And, even with her face seeming way too flustered and caught off guard, she turned her head and gave Abalia a big wonky smile.

“See ya around, Abalia.”

Well, she probably shouldn’t have called the Captain Commander by her name, but what’s one to do. Not like Abalia’s going to get the chance to correct her because the redhead’s already shooting out of the door. Man. A second longer, and she would have been in a bad mood all day. Now, she suddenly feels rejuvenated. Reports be damned!
