Transform, and Roll Out [Makoto, Elyss, Julian]

It was hard to figure out how she should respond to Elyss' remark. Did she just accept the authority proper? No, she'd just continue as they were rather than getting wrapped up in the discussion of power dynamics here, it was something that would just end up being a headache or something.

"Alright. We're getting close.. I think."

Once they got into town she walked around, a little aimlessly and without sense of direction until she found some maps to go off. Then find a hotel. Then establish their situation for this town until they went somewhere else.

Until Abalia's missing fragment was found.

"As long as he needs to be, I'm sure he'll join us when he's done."

It was typical Makoto to not give much except the raw information when asked a question, there wasn't much point in flowering it up. She gave the streets a quick look, a couple of people were around and so she opted to engage in people watching while she wandered about with Elyss in tow.

"You're very quiet. Have you noticed anything, I was hoping we'd find a map by now."

What a bother. She just wanted to get an idea of where they were but felt like she was only getting more disorientated a bit. The last time she had been to the living realm had been entirely for war reasons. Nothing in the sense of getting a good grasp of it.

What was she going to do? Use a kido spell? Try and use her reikaku? Did she have her denreishinki and plan to use it perhaps? No. Nothing quite so complex or overthought, instead Elyss just walked over to someone and asked for directions. That was a little embarrassing that the last thing she considered was to use the locals' understanding for their benefit.

"Oh. Right."

She fell into walking behind Elyss, still quite and introspective while contemplating the situation she just witnessed. Maybe Elyss would be helpful for the sake of the mission and she was a bit too quick to judge. Whatever, it's not like she needed to praise her for it. It was just the right course of action in the end.

"Alright. Where's the hotel."

Makoto regretted not polishing up on her written English. She could speak it fine but trying to read this map was making her think a bit. Pulling out her phone-like denreishinki and beginning to try and translate to the side, Makoto silently got to work unless Elyss was any better at it.

"Nothing too overrated. I'm not trying to blow budgets on living arrangements here, also remember to look for ones around the outskirts and everything. Just whatever one is the most convenient, you know with facilities close and all that."

Makoto gave up trying to translate it herself and relied on Elyss' ability to read and interpret. Well, she could speak it well enough at least but these words might as well be jibberish to her. If Elyss took a bit too long to decide then Makoto would just pick one of the more mediocre ones Elyss had pointed out even if she couldn't read it entirely.

"Let's go investigate this one."

She was unprepared for what came next, being grabbed by the wrist and just dragged along? It kind of surprised her enough that she was dumbstruck for a bit of the walk and just let Elyss lead her for a bit before she got over the initial surprise and her insistent silence which had followed it. She should address it but she'll ket it slide this once, her hand was breaking the grip on her wrist though.

"Alright. I can't really say I know much about the living world. Is there anything in particular I should be aware of? It is far different when it's not a warzone."

Might as well get a greater understanding of the situation while she was here. The last time she was in the living realm was in the Middle East with her teacher watching slaughter. She didn't need to pass that information onto Elyss though, that was just for her.
