Rio Shihoin | Defender of the Family

Rio's head tilted to the head ever so slightly as she observed Kasha's reaction towards her question. Perhaps she was a Koizumi who wasn't fond of combat or the pride of martial prowess one of the other noble clans held in high regard? It wouldn't be surprising.

To be certain, she hardly knew much about the Koizumi and their own family matters and only had a bare-bones idea of the potential of their Hakuda. Kasha's description didn't really much provide her with any information she didn't already know. Those Koizumi were truly a mystery.

"There is nothing to apologize for, Lady Kasha. To be honest... I look at fighting as a means of protection, to defend and keep my love ones safe. There are those nobles who take immense pride in their martial prowess and I extend my praise to them as I would a mere commoner but I look at it all as something to develop one's discipline and their spirit. Pacifism is a virtue I would consider nothing short of admirable. Not everything ought to be solved by violence or conflict. You should take pride in that approach, Kasha."
