Incomplete Cherry Girl [Bambietta, Makoto]

"Oh! Oh, um, thank you, vice captain!"

Bambietta was actually more than a bit surprised at Makoto offering her that degree of support, and she once again bowed quite deeply, though this time in a gesture of thanks and respect. Very few people had ever put much faith into her, so putting her up for this sort of evaluation meant a lot to her. Maybe more than it really should have, she knew that, but she was glad to have the opportunity.

"That's agreeable, of course. I'll make sure that I exceed all your expectations."

She knew already from the intensity of Makoto's tone and expression that saying something like that was an exceptional claim, but she meant it completely legitimately. This job, this life, was the only thing she had. Even if it was just for selfish reasons, she had to give it her all.

"You're welcome."

Makoto replied at the bowed down woman, the gesture meant far more for Bambietta than it did for her. It was just the principle of not liking her efforts wasted that made her inclined to lace the act with a subtle venom. The kind which was harmless if Bambietta did everything she said that she would.

"Now, is that all you wanted or was there something else?"

"Oh, no, that's more than I could have asked for, thank you very much ma'am."

If she weren't already bowing, Bambietta certainly would have again, but as it stood she maintained the gesture for a bit longer just to add emphasis to it. When she finally stood upright, the joy in her expression was quite transparent, and there was an optimism in her voice that certainly hadn't been present through most of the conversation.

"I wouldn't want to waste any more of your time. I know you're very busy."
