Cracked Glass, Broken Mirrors [Asami, Lerna] - Page 3 10DAHr3

Furukawa Asami

What did she mean by that? 'To be working with Shinigami now.' It sounded far more ominous than what she had expected to hear. But it was likely because of her history, creation, or all that stuff that even Asami didn't really know about. One step at a time, though. Prying was absolutely her deal, but not right now.

"Sometimes a different perspective is all you need to offer, so thanks."

She didn't really feel all that better right now. Might be a long while before she did. But she'd been dangerously close to thinking that this was it for her. Felt so silly now, as soon as she was on the other side of it. At least she could look back at herself and wonder why she had gotten so vulnerable so quickly. Perhaps that was what it would be like for her, always running too far ahead looking for anything that might tear it all down. Pretty self-destructive in the long term, and definitely not conducive to building stronger relationships.

"Well, uh, alright. I'll try to be a little less bummed out, probably need a few more days to get all this gunk out of my system though. Something like that."

Lerna smiled a bit at that. frankly, Asami already knew she was a Mod Soul, so she didn't think that she'd had to explain the whole shindig about that. But well, they were both probably tired from the food. All the same, she glanced at Asami and offered a crooked smile. "No worries. This stuff takes time. I know THAT much at least. Take however long ya need to degunk yourself, and if you ever need any help, I'm always here for ya." She assured her friend, sighing just a little and laying her head back.

There wasn't really much more to say was there? She was pretty sure she hadn't really helped all that much, but she was here, and that's what counted right? Just letting her friend know she wasn't alone. It was ....weird, thinking back on it. When had they become friends? It was kinda hard to pinpoint. The training lessons. Going out for food. Pretending to be choked out between her thighs. Sharing pancakes. Hm, maybe that last one... But somehow here she was. Here THEY were. And she couldn't help but smile to herself.
