School Tripping (Hiroi/Kimitsuki)

Shabu? Shabu... Recollecting that term, Hiroi found herself suddenly interested in the idea of a hot pot of assorted items. Though, she still desired her candy, and nothing could change that, but she did occupy herself by just staring at nothing in particular until Kimitsuki returned with whatever she's putting into her meal today. Hiroi could smell a lot of different things in the redhead's bag, but she didn't bother asking questions. They're on their way home, and Hiroi is content with that.

Though, her first action was to flop onto the couch, face first. Laziness rolled over her bones and left her nothing more than a lump of flesh. The least she could do was extend her tongue to eat out of the candy bags before her. The Estate proved a suitable home. Kimitsuki's other favorite woman is a kind woman, if not a bit scary, but she allows for Hiroi to take up residence with the redhead, so the little creature won't complain. It is strange to be a part of this extended family, even with little idea of how to interact with children. Either way, Hiori continued to wonder what Kimitsuki plans on doing with such a large meal. The scents are flowing freely from the kitchen.

The way Hiroi entered the house was honestly expected. It was nothing out of the ordinary. However, Hiroi wouldn't be able to honestly enjoy her candy on the couch. This was because Hot pot, and Shabu Shabu, wasn't exactly prepared. Kimitsuki need only prepare the base broth before she found everything ready enough. Afterwards, the Danava neatly arranged the other raw ingredients they could cook in the broth to a large platter; which was quite pretty, actually. A portable burner, and a quick bit of liberation flame to protect Kimi's hand from burns, and the Danava carried the pot containing their dinner to their dining table, which she set on the portable burner. A flame lit on the burner, heating the bot as Kimitsuki set the platter of raw components down on the table.

"Hiroi! Dinner's ready, get out here, hun!"

Frankly speaking, the brief preparation period might be a bit annoying due to the lack of candy Hiroi was likely able to consume, in comparison to what she could eat at least. However, the veritable meal that awaited her was likely far too tempting and mouth watering to be upset about. As Hiroi was walking in, Kimitsuki was adding raw ingredients to the pot, which were cooking quite swiftly. She even added what appeared to be authentic ramen noodles, along with a few shellfish, crab, shrimp, fish, and various other things to cook in the broth. Not to mention, Kimitsuki arranged the shabu-shabu, the thinly sliced beef strips. Afterwards, Kimitsuki showed Hiroi how they would cook the thin strips of beef; which was simply just picking them up with chopsticks and swishing them around through the boiling broth. In very little time, Kimitsuki displayed a strip of the now cooked meat, and extended it to Hiroi for her to taste, a warm smile upon the Danava's face.

"Try it, tell me what you think, Hiroi~"

"Shouldn't one be called to the table after the meal has been prepared?"

A simple question construed by Hiroi's lack of cultural understanding, but it showcased the Danava's feelings for the situation. She did not find having to watch Kimitsuki prepare their meal unsavory, but she did ponder on why she needs to be here. Maybe that's why she never got far when learning how to cook. Her tendency to berate the idea of having to prepare, what she considers already edible, items to create a far less fulfilling meal makes it difficult to ever completely prepare anything. It is different from hunting due to how lazy and inconvenient it all feels. Every movement has room for error, even if the margin isn't an infinite degree. There is simply no reward at the end of it.

It does smell good though. However, Hiroi's appreciation for that fact is almost comparable to that of a measly mutt who's simply grateful to be able to eat anything. Well, if anyone's going to judge how something tastes, Hiroi is probably the best at it. Her whole existence revolves around this sort of stuff, but considering what she eats, her ability to describe tastes may be a little strewed. Nonetheless, she opens wide and snatches the piece of meat from Kimitsuki.

"...It is okay," She eventually responded after chewing for a bit. The taste is plain to her, but that's probably because she still has artificial sugar on her tongue. The meat did nothing to change that, but it also did nothing to make her taste buds worse. That's a sign that it wasn't bad. Kimitsuki probably isn't going to find much to feel great about from Hiroi's response though. Wordplay isn't the little monster's forte.

"Perhaps normally, Hiroi, but this is a bit different... It's a meal that you make yourself. And it's fine if the meat is just okay, the main perk is everything else... Sadly, I'm not sure how much you'll be tasting while that sugar is still clinging to your tongue..."

Kimitsuki couldn't help but give Hiroi a small grin as she ladled some broth, noodles, various cooked seafood, and vegetables into a bowl for Hiroi. Afterwards, the demon cooked a few more strips of beef, that she seasoned a tiny bit beforehand, and then added them to Hiroi's bowl. Afterwards, the Danava gave Hiroi the go ahead while she filled her own bowl, taking care to add everything in a specific way. Frankly speaking, she did make Hiroi's bowl look very pretty, but she was just trying to get specific things she wanted to eat for herself. A few clams, some crab and lobster, various vegetables, some cooked strips of beef, shrimp, and a whole slough of ingredients she desired to try. Of course, once her bowl was sufficiently filled, Kimitsuki had sat down with Hiroi, making sure that Hiroi had proper utensils before Kimitsuki started to eat.

"Dig in, hun~! Hopefully everything is to your liking. Maybe eat something to get the sugar off before you dig in... I really want you to like this."

Kimitsuki gave Hiroi a warm smile, pat the Danava on her head, and then Kimi started to eat. Kimi most certainly enjoyed it, because she knew exactly what she wanted from the hot pot. While she at, Kimi managed the hot-pot on the side, humming pleasantly whenever she started to manage it. All the while, however, the Danava kept silent track of Hiroi; hoping that Hiroi would like this dish. After all, Kimitsuki did mostly prepare it for Hiroi's sake. Kimi always felt good whenever she could give Hiroi a meal that was honestly satisfying.

There's no point in proper utensils when Hiroi is in a mood. Her hands are quick to simply snatch everything bare, dipping meat and manhandling vegetables and whatnot with little care. Her inability to really taste while eating the way she is matters not. The simple fact that she'd eat anything put before her is enough to her. Still, Kimitsuki probably feels some sort of way by the Danava's lack of care for adequately tasting what she's putting in her mouth. If it's any condolence, Hiroi hasn't turned off her ability to taste foods, so that means she has yet to eat anything that makes her want to throw up.

However, at some point, Hiroi had changed, her sudden savagery subconsciously reverting her into a more primal state. Her size increased, body plump and mature, the less in control version of the Danava now sat near Kimitsuki, eating as she was before. It's as if Hiroi failed to notice her own sudden boost in energy and hunger, but that hot pot started to dwindle at a rapid pace.
