As a Tutor, Yuri's familiarity with shinigami non-personal fundamental skills: Hoho, Hakuda, and Kido is considerable. Having taught and expanded upon these skills with countless students in her tenure as well as with fellow members of the Gotei, she is abundantly skilled in all of these areas. While she has not put the time in to create her own specialized variations of these abilities, her broad mastery of them affords her a versatility that few can muster. Rather than focusing on high level specialized techniques, she has simply sought to master the simple use of fundamental spells and techniques to their fullest.

» Bankai Release Phrase: Bankai no Sagisōshiha 挽歌委の鷺草四花 (Farewell Elegy of Four Habenaria)

» Bankai Release Action: Yuri sings the Release Phrase for her Bankai, causing her Zanpaku'to to sink into the nearest surface (generally the ground).

» Bankai Appearance: Yuri's Bankai seems to take the form of a massive White Flower which grows from the point where her Zanpaku'to buried itself. However, her Zanpaku'to is in fact a Large Seed which lies at the base and center of this flower. From the center of this flower emerges a statue which takes the likeness of Yuri's waist and upper body. This flower has a diameter of up to 40 meters, while the figure at it's center can reach up to 25 meters tall. This statue is noncombative and cannot attack or defend, but rather exists as a medium through which Yuri's Bankai can sing.

Hana no Wakare 花の別れ (Flower's Farewell)

The Primary ability of Yuri's Bankai. In Shikai, Yuri's Zanpaku'to simply feeds off the Song of Death (The unique spiritual energy given off as a soul dies) as a means of growing itself. In Bankai, this song is weaponized into a powerful Elegy. This Dirge is separated into four Verses meant to soothe the souls of her allies, and lull enemies into passing to the next life. The song itself takes the form of spirit ribbons which are compressed frequencies of spiritual pressure. These ribbons can be manipulated by Yuri and move at a speed equal to her Zanjutsu skill.

Due to how new this Bankai is, Yuri only has access to the first Verse.
Only one verse can be active within the span of a single post. Switching verses causes Reiatsu ribbons from the previous verse to vanish immediately.

First Verse: The Reprieve
The First Verse of the Bankai. This verse has smooth, soothing tones taking on slow and cradling sounds which lul targets and prepare them for death. This Verse specifically targets allies, supplying energy with small pulses of spiritual pressure which provide healing as though the target had Regeneration scaling with Yuri's Zanjutsu skill so long as contact with the ribbon is maintained. Ribbons of spiritual pressure from this verse are large but few in number, spanning up to 10 meters in length, but only eight can be active at once and only 2 can be produced per post.

Weakness: First and foremost, this Ability's effects cannot be activated simultaneously, creating an ebb and flow to the battle which can be taken advantage of by the enemy, but also make Yuri's shifting tactics a bit more predictable if she isn't careful.
Second is that this ability focuses on energy efficiency. Rather than producing effects purely by merit of her own energy, Hana no Wakare produces it's effects by affecting ambient reishi with her spiritual pressure by resonating at certain frequencies. As a result, an active Quincy with Equal or Greater Reishi absorbption to Yuri's Zanjutsu will drop it's effectiveness as though Yuri's Zanjutsu were a full grade lower. Additionally Energy-absorbing abilities of a similar nature with equal or greater Skill scaling will have the same effect.
