Psychological Analysis

A burdened man, Abraham walks like he has nowhere to be. There is no aim in his life but survival, and survival comes in many forms and fashion. He is no evil man, but he is not afraid to sully his hands with extreme action. His words are curt unless he finds himself in a strenuous situation where his more nomadic Nigerian accent shows itself. Though, he keeps to himself for the most part outside of his good deeds and need for basic survival.

Though, when he does find himself committing to his extremities, he is a deceptive individual who has practiced the art of sleight. Fancy words are easy to slip from his lips if need be, and his charms are learned from years of trading and business. Rage is not something he sports easily, but he can become cruel and uncaring to things that are especially cumbersome to his psyche. This mainly pertains to creatures that show no remorse for their actions and who bask in their cruelness. An eye for an eye as they say.

But, all in all, he is but a man trying to find his way in life, and that lost aptitude is what shows the most in his character. He usually has no answer for when people ask where he is going or what he wants to do. Like the wind, he roams freely with no end to his journey. Maybe death is what he's after, but his body refuses to let itself go peacefully. Only time will tell, but he's become too used to its slow ticking to ever ruefully acknowledge it.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Abraham's life began in the deserts of Africa, a wandering nomadic family of merchants. They would go town to town, village to village, selling and trading meat and furs from their livestock with the locals. Under Vastime's watchful eye, their livelihood was a simple unbothered lifestyle. Though, as with many families, Abraham's housed a secret known only among them: the evil eye. When unneeded, they performed the same duties as any other nomadic merchant, but when more than goods and wears were needed, they'd unveil their family lineage.

This family lineage would be a power derived from a long time ago, during the days when Nozomi first began gathering students under her wing. Not every individual she gathered were especially thrilled with following in her footsteps and protecting their peers. There were those who took her teachings and fled to use it for their own machinations which eventually led to the creation of a sector in Britain that had their own understandings of manipulating Reishi. Though, with the world evolving and colonization, this sector slowly died out until all that remained was a small family in Africa that used these teachings for basic survival.

Abraham, being the third son, was not privy to these secrets. It was only the head of the household that was allowed to use this power, and with two brothers before him, it was unnecessary for him to learn of it. It would take both of his brother's dying before he'd even be considered, but life has a way of steering one towards their destiny. It's a shame that it can cost you almost everything.

When news of his brothers being killed came to his family, Abraham's life turned upside down. His brothers were killed by a particular nasty Hollow, leaving Abraham the last to carry on his family's lineage. This is what began Abraham's cruel upbringing, for his father had assumed that it was his carefree way of treating his sons that had led to their downfall. He became obsessed with letting his last son fall prey to the monsters of the world.

Abraham's training was horrible. Everyday was spent honing his skills. He had multiple combat scenarios drilled into his head, his lineage's preferred fighting style forced into his bones and muscles. It took years for him to become what his father deemed acceptable to begin the next step. That was the day Abraham lost his eye.

The next step was a ritual, a sacrifice to unlock his family's power. It is a long, painful, and strenuous process that involved removing a person's eye and invoking a certain spell upon it. Then it is reinserted back into the individual's socket, healed, and sealed. When Abraham emerged from the tent with his left eye closed, he was introduced to a brand new world.

He began his Hollow hunts with his father, taking any request available to hone his new power. Using his father as a crux, he learned the aspects of his abilities and honed them, training and becoming stronger day by day, year by year.

However, Vastime fell, and his family was among the few that fell with it. He was on a job in a village far away from the initial catastrophe, and he did not even learn of it until a few days later when news had finally reached the village he was in. On that day, he had lost his everything in the blink of an eye.

Lost now, he did the only thing he knew how to do: take up his nomadic teachings and lineage and continue on with life. There were tears and even moments where he had given up, but he had already been used to death with how his family lived. They have seen plenty death on their travels, and even thought this one hit the hardest of them all, something had kept him capable of waking up the next day. Maybe it was the fact that only he remained with the power beseeched to him. He does not know, but as the wind blows directionless, he too now walks the same.

Dragon Reiatsu:
Comparable to that of a Hollow in ways, Sigurd's Reiatsu has a toxic sensation to it. There's an underlying corrupting feeling to his bleeding Reatsu as it crawls out of him and dominates an area. Almost like walking into something's domain or lair, Sigurd's actual presence is all consuming and heavy, bearing the weight of a tremendous beast that holds nothing for content for anything that nears it.

Dragon Stilts:
Sigurd's body is pushed to the peak of human capability, but that is because of the dragon's influence over his body. It is that same influence that makes it impossible for him to grow any stronger in terms of strength and durability. Almost like a sickness as much as a boon, the corruption in his blood constantly destroys his body as much as it enhances it, leaving him in a state of stillness in terms of physical growth.

Martial Skill:
However, unlike most of Sigurd’s natural skills, his martial skills prove deadly. Maximizing the use of his energy, to enhance his body’s movement, Sigurd is able to keep up with people who would normally prove difficult for him. Years of military training, mercenary work, and general upkeep of his skills have honed his body into a well-trained machine. He is able to wield practically any mundane weapon, and even has knowledge of weapons and techniques outside of his normal capabilities due to his work. Not only that, but he proves capable of many fighting styles, even if simply mimicking the basics which came from his years of intensive training and such. However, his proficiency with his main weapon, Dragon’s Bane, outshines everything he is capable of. His reliance on the weapon makes him an obscene threat when he is allowed to wield it fully.

Willpower:
Surviving being eaten is no small feat, especially in the manner that Sigurd fought out of his situation. It takes a certain amount of willpower to eat your way out of a creature and then learn to control the monstrous power that came with eating said creature. Though, even before then, the fact that Sigurd picked himself up after his girlfriend left around the same time his grandmother died and left him all alone requires an impressive amount of willpower. He could have ended it all or given up on everything, but he kept on moving forward, even if much of it was to distract himself from the harsh realities of life. He is not one to be easily broken after going through what he has.

Mental Deduction:
With the jobs he normally gets, Sigurd is no idiot, nor is he a some supersleuth. He simply knows bullshit. He doesn't have the ability to break down some masterminds 1000 IQ plan, but he does know when he's been duped or made a fool of. Simple tricks won't work on him because he's seen a lot of things in his time running around and messing with those of normally deceitful natures.

Focus:
Distractions are for those who don't last long in his field of work. If you can't keep your head straight and focus on the task at hand, you'll end up losing it. Sigurd's learned the hard way to pay attention to his surroundings and keep his eyes on the prize. Multitasking is easy for him, and catching him off guard takes commitment, and, even then, it's hard to tell if his guard is down or not.
