As soon as Ichigo saw her use Kido, he began to determine how good she was good. Using these with the chants was a good sign, I suppose, despite the fact it was a rather low level kido. The basic kido took hold, locking Ichigos arms, but with such a low level Bakudo, he broke it with ease, and smiled. "Not bad there.." he thought this was good for a little girl. Then he was pushed back by Sho, but however he was still standing, but he was knocked back a bit. "Good..." and then he was then restrained by the ropes of Bakudo 3! "Not bad Nanao. You have potential here!" He then broke it with ease, and then saw she used Hado 4! Ichigo then moved at the way. Ichigo was already impressed with this, as this was a little girl in question.

But then when she began to chant, Ichigo wondered what was coming, but then it hit him. His shocked expression and his sounds of shock of the levels Nanao was reaching for a second, but then heard her scream, and was suddenly concerened and worried. He roared in a booming voice out of his worry. "NANAO!!" he began running over to her. He saw her wounds and he made a gasp of shock at her gashes, and more her spirtual pressure. It felt like a captains... what was with this girls potential..? After thinking about that Ichigo picked her up and held her in his arms. "Are you okay!?! You shouldn't of tried to push yourself like that to impress me! I'm already impressed by what you did!" He sounded a bit sad cause she got hurt.

A sorrow wind blew through the area...

~Nanao~

Nanao looked up to Ichigo and grinned. She found herself being held slightly in her mentors arms after the failed attempt. Despite the gashes from the uncontrolled energy that had flooded her moments ago, she seemed to be just fine. Her energy had gone back to normal, maybe a little less after that release. She stood up and dusted herself off.

''Now the swords huh Papa Ichigo?''

She sounded eager and huged Ichigo's legs. She was just fine, a little exhausted spirit energy wise, but her childish physical energy seemed to be through the roof. She released Ichigo from the hug and spotted a wooden practice sword proped on a tree near by. She skipped her way to the wooden blade and turned to face Ichigo as she lightly twirled it in her left hand, dust trailing it as it lightly scrapped the ground.

''lets goes!''

With that Nanao rushed for Ichigo. She seemed to struggle a bit to properly hold the wooden blade in her hands, both being almost to small for the handle. She reached Ichigo's feet and suddenly jumped up, feet kicking onto the tree above as she used the gained momentum to flip backwards with the blade being brought down to make a hit on Ichigo's head.

Ichigo was still in concern for Nanao! I mean, after that he was thinking he should cut this short and just take her to squad 4. But then he felt that her spirtual energy returned to normal, a relief for him. But now she looked like she was competely ingoring her wounds... and she wanted to carry on from the looks of thing, so Ichigo was going to go a bit less.. rough from this point. "Okay.. but be gentle! Your not getting hurt like that again!" He then wondered if she really expected him to fight with his sword... oh well.

Upon seeing Nanao charge, Ichigo drew out Zangetsu, the bandage hold falling to the floor, and saw her acrobatic skill. That was a good thing about her I suppose. Then seeing her attack, he blocked with Zangetsu, holding it so that he wouldn't accidently cut the wooden sword and possibly her. "Erm, Nanao. I don't plan to fight you with Zangetsu... I think wood vs metal is a pretty obvious battle yanno! Where did you even get that wooden one to begin with?" He waited for Nanaos answer.

~Nanao~

The wooden blade flew up from the force of hitting Ichigo's blade with her wooden sword. A small knotch gashed into it a bit as the metal dug into the softer material. Nanao's arm flew back a bit from the force as she almost lost her grip on its handle. Her hands were already a bit to small to properly hold this sword, but she managed to keep hold of it for the moment.

Nanao turned slightly as her sandle bottoms hit onto Ichigo's chest in what might of been a drop kick if she had planned it that way. She used his chest as a spring board as she moved away from him, flipping in the air as she regain her grip on the blade. She landed with a stumble that showed her lack of skill at performing such acrobatics during the heat of battle...though when she played she was an ace at general gymnasics.

As Nanao regained herself from the stumble she blinked at Ichigo curiously, like it was perfectly obvious where she got it.

''I picked it up by the twee over there!''

She pointed to a tree that looked like it had been beaten by dull blades many times. It was obviously someone training tree, though by judging by the sword over sizeness in Nanao's hands it was not hers.

Suddenly Nanao springs at Ichigo again. She landed about a foot in front of Ichigo, to the left a little. Then she sprang again to the left as the blade slid across the groud with a thick trail of dust. She aimed the blade for his ribs as she swung the oversized sword clumbsily, seeming to exert much more energy then she really needed to just to swing it.

Instead of fighting her with a sword, Ichigo was just going to defend herself from Nanao and see if she could land one hit on the captain. Having felt her sandals on his chest, Ichigo didn't really feel pressured by it, due to the fact it was a little girl doing it. He was still impressed by her acrobatics skill. He looked at Nanao looking insulted. He knew that she got it from a tree... but whatever. He saw that that blade was a bit big for her size... but he wasn't stopping her!

Ichigo then saw her next spring attack being made against him! He jumped back and managed to dodge it, but he was noticing that she was exertting to much energy to just attack him. "Okay Nanao, I have a idea! The goal of your sword training is to hit me once. Do that, and you pass this bit. But can you find a smaller training sword? Your size doesn't really match with it!" Ichigo wanted it to be fair.. it wasn't really fair like that.

Quick reply for portal

A smaller sword? Nanao stopped a few feet away from Ichigo and examined the wooden blade she had picked up. It was a bit big for her she decided after a few moments of examination, but where would she find a smaller one? She waved to Ichigo and annonced she would be back shortly.

The little soul reaper skipped her way back into the barracks. She wandered to and fro around looking for a sword more her size. She could not find one. Finally she dug around in another squad members room and pulled out a 10 inch long purple colored aparatus. A sword her size! Her small hands and fingures wraped over it easily! She left the room of the female squad member and dashed back out to Ichigo with her new blade.

She arrives back out to the training ground and quickly dashes at Ichigo. She easily and with some speed swiped the new purple blade at Ichigo's face as she leaped into the air to attack.
