A light in the dark (open) [FINISHED]

The male Carter walked down the back streets of these slums, the alleys were coated in mud and a never ending fog hung thick in the air as he walked. As he breathed in his mouth tasted of mildew and decay, it would be worse to breathe through his nose so he took the lesser of these two evils. He was here for no real purpose, just walking. Carter secretly hoped that he would encounter some sort of trouble, a Hollow, a gang of thugs, a person in need of help. His left hand twitched as it tended to do when his nerves started to pile up, Wanting to distract himself he grasped the cuff of his flannel and rubbed it between his palm and fingers. Seeing the narrow ally way come to an end he smiled a bit as a wind, disgusting in smell as it was, brushed over him and shifted his auburn locks into his white blue eyes.

Also Carter hoped to encounter a fellow Vizard who was low in skill as he was so they could chat and he could get pointers on how to stay out of trouble and still manage to be useful to the Corps. Maybe he would find one such person maybe he wouldn't. He walked down the street a bit and entered the slums makeshift black market, everything was sold here. Dead reapers swords, Hollow flesh, "potions to cure anything", etc. as he entered the market he felt a burst in SP too his right, turning his head he saw the hem of a black dress, tattered and frayed around the edges, slip behind a building and as it moved further away so did the SP.

He knew it was dumb but he followed her noting that his zanpukto was ready if need be and he barley had the seal on his own SP so he could access it fast if the need arose.

A figure appears in an ally-way in the Slums of Old Karakura Town, upon closer inspection the figure appears to be a man of approx 30 in appearance, instead of the usual shinigami garbs the man is wearing a set of white-with black trim robes, over which he wears heavy black leather plating that covers his neck and upper chest, he also wears a large brown leather belt which holds his Zanpakutō on his right side. The man begins walking down the ally-way a long white coat he wears open flutters behind him, his white gloved hand rests on the hilt of his Zanpakutō.


As he wandered through the ally-ways Luobu began wondering why he had chosen to come here, normally he'd spend his spare time training or walking in the woods somewhere. But today he had felt something pulling him there, and now he found himself in the gloomy, muddy, dark slums, mud squishing under his feet. Stopping for a moment Luobu took in a breath of stale air and began walking again.

After a few more minutes Luobu walked around the corner of a building, a woman in a black dress passed by him quickly, followed by a man with a sword at his side. Continuing on it took Luobu a few minutes before he registered the spiritual pressure that had passed him by, he began wondering what might be going on. Not wanting trouble Luobu decided it didn't matter and began towards a market looking area where he found various swords and other things for sale.

Carter walked at a distance behind the woman and as he followed he passed a man grabbed in white robes that smelt of clean air and dirt, he had to be a person of the woods, a Shinigami, it didn't matter Carter had to see who this woman was and why he was so drawn to her like a bee to a flower. He kept moving and didn't see as a hand shot out of a dark ally and monkey palmed him in the chest, the force knocked the wind out of his lungs as he felt a rib crack, there was some serious power in the hit.

He was sent flying backwards through the air at the Shinigami that he had passed merely seconds ago, all he could do was let out a yell to alert the man that the two of them would be getting real close real soon

Hearing a soft 'thump' and then a yell Luobu barely had the time to re-act as the man he had just passed sailed through the air, hitting him in the back sending them both through the air a few feet before they hit the ground with a thud.

Luobu got up with an angry mumble before reaching his hand out to the stranger before saying "What the hell was that about?? Mind explaining!?!" Luobu's hand drifted to the hilt of his Zanpakutō when he felt 2 other spiritual pressures leave his range of sense. His brown eyes began to darken while he waited for a response from the stranger, the knuckles of the hand gripping his Zanpakutō began going white.

Carter gripped the hand and stood up, he grinned as he rubbed the back of his head, which ached for some unknown reason. He must have hit it, feeling his ribs they weren't cracked as he had assumed just battered.

"sorry I was following this woman, she looked like someone i knew, then something hit me and knocked me back into you" he said trying to sound calm.

Noticing the other male's hand on his zanpukto Carter put his left hand on the handle of his own just for safety's sake, he didn't want trouble since this man was nice enough to help him up. turning his head he felt the woman move farther away as a second energy source met up with her. He would follow her shortly.

"anyways i'm Carter Zenaki, Vizard." Carter chirped with a smile to the male.

Luobu stands there as Carter introduce's himself after moving his own hand to his Zanpakutō. "Well it's nice meeting you Carter, even though it was an odd way too meet, I'm Luobu Hei a shinigami." Luobu smiles slightly before shifting in place, he was wondering if he should hang around this new face a bit or continue wandering alone as usual.

Deciding against being alone in a new place... let alone slums he didn't know Luobu spoke up once again "Hey Carter...you wouldn't mind if... Luobu scratched the back of his head before continuing " I stuck with you for a while, I'm new to this area and don't really like the feel of it" Luobu shifted in his place once again his reiatsu leaking out a bit.

.. The male that had been known as Hirohoto had taken his time walking through the area at hand. His eyes were more then simply glancing about, examining the trail he had decided to be taking. A ways back, he had been following the path of a male of which had brought such a sense of interest about him. " Could it possibly be? ", he would ask himself, traveling down these hopeless slums. All the while, while confrontation had been easily seen from my distance away, the pace he had began to walk at had grown faster. ..

.. Yes. It was him. Carter Zenaki. But who was the other man, Hiro had thought to himself. As he had taken his time to stay toward the side, his eyes peering towards the two figures before himself, he had taken direct precaution to of been hiding his spiritual pressure throughout it all. Lowering such energy fluctuation about himself had left him nearly unnoticeable. All the same, his right hand had shifted towards his left side, for how hard was it to notice a man in a top hat? ..

Carter nodded to Luobu, he always liked having people around. It was nice to make new friends and the man looked out of place, like he was scared. Carter noticed as his eyes shifted warily at every passing shadow.

"sure, why not." He answered with a smile as he turned slightly to head back on his way and caught sight of a man standing a ways off to the side, he looked alot like Carter's friend Hiro, moving his eyes from the mans eyes he looked for Hiro's trademark item and he smiled spotting the top hat. It was his friend, the man that had entered this world only days after he him, they had fought side by side for survival since day one.

Gesturing to Luobu to follow him he walked towards Hiro waving his left hand letting his zanpukto hang on his side

"HEYYYY!!!" he yelled as he closed the distance

Following Carter over to an odd man with a top hat the gear in Luobu's head begin turning, wondering who this guy was, and wondering how Carter knew him. Deciding to stay polite Luobu took his right hand off the hilt of his Zanpakutō and held it out, "Hey there I'm Luobu, a new aquiantence of Carter's" Luobu tried to remain polite, even though he felt so uneasy in this place, almost as if something was going to happen.

Suddenly on the fringes of Luobu's senses he caught the feel of hollow reiatsu, his instinctual reaction was to flare his reiatsu, as he did so he began sprinting towards the area he felt the reiatsu forgetting about the 2 new men he had met.

Luobu sped around a corner at the end of the ally-way he had been in with the others, coming to a clearing he noticed the hollow reiatsu was stronger here. Immediately Luobu lifted his Zanpakutō off his belt holding it in his left hand horizontally infront of him, his right hand swept across the scabberd/sheath and he took hold of the hilt ready to react if needed.

.. The eyes of the male known as Hirohoto had looked onto the figure of which had bolted off, towards the hollow reiatsu that had most definitely caught all of our eyes. Hiro's figure had taken it's time to of ran forward, and at such a quick paced speed. In the moment at hand, Hirohoto had decided to keep his reiatsu at it's lowest. The male's figure had been a small ways off, behind the male known as Luobu. Hiro hadn't even the chance to reply to him; this was the main reason he had actually decided to follow the male. ..

.. Hirohoto had been within such a distance behind the male known as Luobo, yet as he had neared quite closely, the hollow had made it's very own appearance. The hollow was thin, while it's mask had resembled such an insect. It's arms were shaped as such fine blades, and shimmered a green along with it's body's base flesh tone. It stood tall, but it had been falling from the top of the building toward the right of us. It's plan was to catch us off guard, with an aerial attack. Of course, it's main course of attack had looked to be a slice downwards. I hadn't the time to appreciate the luck of the moment, my figure having been so far back as to off been able to see this. I spoke up, though, and towards the Shinigami who had been in such danger. " Up! Watch Out! ".
