Personality: With Letum, the saying, “the older, the wiser,” was true as Letum represents the last revelation, the Death Elemental. Though his voice was coarse, Letum sounds intriguingly calm as he does not have a problem with dying or dealing death to others. Though he has a scepter, Letum only uses his staff for attacks, but for absorption and counterattack, he uses his right hand, which often baffles some combatants that know how riders function with absorption. Many would think that he can instantly kill anyone he touches, but Letum simply chuckles and explains what he does instead because he believes that instantly killing someone without natural causes is an infringement of free will. Speaking of free will, Letum values it more than his own life, so if there was an infringement of free will from one of the cohorts, he will obviously come to the rescue and correct it.

Brief History: Despite being the oldest, Letum was the only Elite Rider with a tangible history before his death and resurrection, though it is rather vague. He was once a firefighter from Ohio, United States who has a family and takes care of his little sister (currently Anima) that he rescued from their abusive parents. However, a hollow possessed him and forced him to kill his little sister when his sister was nine. Letum took his own life on the same day he killed his sister at the age of twenty-five. The purpose of that was to kill the Hollow within him. He was soon resurrected by TelcinVohlis along with Anima as Riders. In long centuries, Letum and Anima are the first two Riders and ever since then, they are rarely disconnected from each other as they deal justice in their own terms. At Mandrid, Spain, Letum followed his baby sister to the city when he discovered that the Shinigami are interfering. Throughout the event, Letum killed more than a thousand humans in his wake as the humans retaliated against him, only to discover Anima also killed her share and was scared about it. Letum and Anima as Elite Riders, called for a retreat and vanished from the city.

Basic Powers:
Magical Absorption: Any spiritual/magical attack upon a rider or an elite rider is initially absorbed into the rider’s right hand(if the rider was aware of the attack to begin with and was pointing at the attack.) When absorbed, the magical/spiritual energy is then used as an impenetrable barrier for other magical/spiritual attacks from any direction for a full round. Its flaw is that any physical attack can bypass it.

Magical Counterattack: After being absorbed, the magical/spiritual energy can be used as a ranged attack from the rider to the targets within the wave’s reach. The wave’s conical angle is 120* (wide range spread.) However, there is no addition to the use, so what was absorbed is also released at same strength. Despite its name, the technique does not restrict to only the original attacker.

The Sorrow of Eden: Upon being struck by Letum’s Scepter, the target’s spiritual power becomes unstable and unpredictably impulsive. While under that effect, any spiritual attack will require the user to suffer before use as each spiritual power used will cause from mild pain to nerve-wracking agony throughout the target’s body. The worst of it is that the power does not kill the individual. The effect lasts up to five rounds, but it can be canceled by transforming or releasing in attempt to force out the spiritual toxin in their body in one swift explosion of energy.

The Blight of Eden: Letum’s breath attack where he concentrates his inner darkness and releases it from within him out to the enemies in front of him within the same cone width as the counter attack (120* angle.) Those who are caught in it and are not part of the Demon Maggots or the Undead are affected with one of two kinds of syndrome listed below that wreaks havoc to the morale and fighting effectiveness of the group. Considering it is pestilence-class, it can spread onto more people of the similar kind and it lasts some days unless treated by conventional methods of recovery, but alternatively, having Anima use Comfort of Eden can cure it in a short time. Do note that like other things, it does not kill at all, but it would render the unfortunate wanting to die to be free from the pain.
LIVING (Human or Quincy) = Drained Willpower (slowly loses strength for physical actions,) Migraine (same as Loss of Focus,) Nausea (the need to vomit,) High Body Temperature (causes exhaustion,) Frequent Coughing (disrupts spell-casting,) and Severe Thirst.
SPIRIT (Demon, Shinigami, Vizard, Hollow, Arrancar, Iramasha, Sugiura or Mod Soul) = Continuous Spiritual Power Leak (weakening the spirit down to powerless state,) Loss of Focus (unable to aim correctly,) Frequent Coughing (disrupts spell-casting,) and Inability to Release.

The Frailty of Eden: Usually, Letum’s eyes appear pure white, but when it turns into burning embers, anyone that Letum looks directly at would slowly lose strength in their joints and if in eye-to-eye contact for more than three rounds will cause the target to collapse from severe weakness in the joints. The duration was the same amount that the individual kept eye contact with Letum’s burning ember eyes before breaking eye contact. What can cure the effect was to stare into Letum’s pure white eyes as Letum blinks.
