Artist: Mayhem - Song: Glimmer - Word Count: 1233
Today was going to be one hell of a day. From out of nowhere, it appeared that some sort of massive, floating sky city had emerged from the clouds; replaying the familiar events of Chaos Island all over again within the mind of a certain Yuudeshi Clansmen. However, unlike that horrid cataclysm, this one brought about a more positive outcome. Instead of all the many different factions within the world fighting each other to the death for control of some ancient island, this was a more friendly challenge for all those who seeked adventure, desired excitement and wished to ascend themselves to another level. Calling out all beings who had the will to achieve their awakened forms, ascend past any trial that was thrown towards your way and arise to claim what is rightfully theirs. The hot-headed blood of many generations of previous Yuudeshi's surged within every fiber of Shatari Yuudeshi, Karakura High school Student and Vanguard Representative!

She knew that this would be the chance she needed to make a name for herself, to achieve the kind of power her people are known for and to push the limits of her abilities well past the breaking point to mold herself into a proper fighter by the end of this damned day was over. It excited her, it gave her goal and she was going to do what it took to meet this expectation. So, after making a few orders on some upgraded weaponry to otherwise make use of her trust firearms in this hostile terrority, The Young Yuudeshi had set forth on her new adventure into Skyfall city. Thus, by sending out communication notices throughout the island's cybernet, the instant she had landed upon this city, she decided to swiftly create her own group called...The KHS Beasts. In a matter of minutes of getting pass the registration to enter this place, there were already three supposed members being shifted into her group and it only served to make Shatari laugh. For, when she glanced on f the participants whom had been added into her group, it appears that her classmate, Shisome, decided to follow her after all.

It was rather amusing to The Yuudeshi Woman because she never pegged that pale-skinned 'lass to be the type whom enjoyed fighting. What was her reasons for joining? Was it to nag her to death while Shatari was cutting down people? Or was it finally to stop being lazy and actually grow a pair to fight for yourself? Whatever the case may be, The Banshee of Karakura was interested to see what justifications her classmate would have for joining her in a war-torn place like this. Glancing at two of the other names, though, she didn't seem too interested in them just yet. The name "Terith Branborough" definitely didn't ring any bells in Shatari's mind. in fact, she didn't even KNOW anyone in Karkaura High itself with that name. Never has she encountered and figured this might just be someone trying to be her fangirl or something. Yes. At the moment, This Little Yuudeshi had quite the ego to believe her fame was already beginning to spread to the extent of having followers.

Musing over to the next name..... Tessa Morrowend....this girl was a total mystery as well. Researching both names, however, lead to the discovery they were actually associated with the Gotei 13. Go figure. Scratching her head a bit, she wondered why a couple of weirdo's had joined her team, but chalked it up to just having the personal magnetism needed to attract all sorts of people to her life. So, with a relaxed sigh, Shatari grinned and shook it off. It was going to take armed guts, a sharp brain and instincts to get through the streets of pain now. Thus, not wasting anymore time then she already has, she sent messages outwards towards Shisome, Terith Branborough and Tessa Morrowend via the communication devices they SHOULD have received upon entering Sky Fall city. Throughout the messages the Yuudeshi Clansmen sent, she had sent coordinates to her current location and ordered that they all meet so they can access a battle plan to otherwise make it through this action-packed city in one piece.

From the digital maps available of the island, a large and condensed series of buildings should come into mind as they tap into the GPS position of Shatari on the map. There were many tall structures, huge street ways and many types of skywaves all throughout the vicinity in which Shatari was located at. They'd sooner find her standing upon the top of one of the largest buildings in the area; standing confidently with a huge grin across her face as she wore a thigh-length dress which had assorted colors of blue and dark purple stripes going down a vertical pattern, hiding a black-tank-top underneath the loose clothing. On top of that, this same matching pattern could be seen in the pair of calf-long boots she was wearing; with the bottom half of the left-boot being a sky blue hue, while the right was the same shade of dark purple as her dress. Continuing to analyze more features of this girl, you'd even see that the two beads holding her pale-white hair together had a purple and blue theme going on; as the left bead was purple in color and the right was the same shade of blue yet again. Heck, even this girl's eyes were in sync as they were in color concordance with her entire effort's shade of sky blue.

However, more importantly, there were many more bold attachments to The Yuudeshi Clansmen being that stuck out like a sore thumb. For starters....she had what appeared to be two assault rifles strapped on her back. That alone may have sent alarm signals to anyone wishing to attack her that she meant business. Gazing down to her waistline, you'd also notice a utility belt which had many types of grenades, ammo for guns, sphere-like devices and two hand-guns neatly secured in a strange sphere of dim-black light; signifying that there was indeed a small barrier shielding these items form the opponent should they target them. Moving back upwards to her hands, one may also notice that she was wearing a pair black shaded gloves which, if one felt or took a closer inspection, seemed to be made out of a steel-like material. And, as she flicked her hair in the wind, a pair of sky-blue tinted goggles were seen attached to the top of Shatari's head and a strange purple and black guitar sealed neatly down the center of her back.

With everything as it stands, Shatari was going to be well prepared for her time on this island. It was going to be quite fun to test out her toys, measure her own powers and test out different fighting styles to finally figure out what she feels most comfortable in fighting as. And so, for the time being, she may have been a sitting duck, but Shatari didn't mind too much. Anyone who dared to confront her now, anyone who had the audacity to otherwise disturb her peace; would be the first to be smacked down, beat down and turned into one of her first victims as she started her rampage across The Road of Evolution known as Sky Fall City.

The Beast's strike was about to begin....

Terith Branborough
4-1+
9th Division Member
In her office back at the Seireitei, Terith was already on the ground, buried in papers that recently fallen over her. As a member was checking on her, he gasped and rushed in to dig her out. "Branborough-taichou! Are you alright!?" Terith lifted herself out of the pile with swirls that are surrogates for her eyes for a while. "Ari~gat~tou~" Terith clumsily replies in her daze. "Message for you, Branborough-taichou!" The member announced before passing Terith the message from her superiors. "Hai. Arigatou." Terith snapped out of her daze and reads the message while the member is sitting on his knees with a serious look on his face.

Branborough-kohai, Terith

There is a network-wide warrant for the arrest of former Gotei 13 member, Wakai-Ko Gunjin who went AWOL during the investigation about gun deals in Rukongai and was suspected of going rogue. If any allied individuals come to contact with the rogue Shinigami, they are recommended to be cautious as she was trained by both a militia squad and by the Shino Academy as a Zanjutsu practitioner. It falls under the Gotei 13's jurisdiction thus her capture will be redirected to any Shinigami Officer, Lieutenant or Captain. The reward will be determined by the officer whom Gunjin was given to.

However, this is not your mission. The mission is to assure Gotei 13's success through aiding Yuudeshi, Shatari in completing the competition, even if you have to sacrifice yourself to assure the success. Your partner will be Morrowend, Tessa, a member of sixth division and will receive the same mission as you do. Do not fail us or your allies.

Gotei 13 Brass
After she read the message, Terith paled in her accused fate. She was not meant for combat and there she was, thrown into the fight because her previous position as vice-captain under Hitsugaya-taichou and Yuudeshi-taichou, and it put up a false sense of obligations. She was originally just the one who handles information and make sure that all Gotei 13 members are aware of the bigger picture. Though a member of the Kuchiki's squad would help a lot and the notion that people put up high praise for the Yuudeshi... Terith has trouble comprehending the idea that people would put blind faith for something that Terith failed to understand.

She collected her bo-staff, a weapon given to her by Ukitake-Sensei, one of her beloved teachers at the Shino Academy. For one thing, it is impossible for people to directly know that Terith was once a weapon of war and how it would dig deep into her regrets. When she heard of Gunjin's absence, she became worried and she hoped that with the challenge, Gunjin would likely go to where Yuudeshi-chan would go to. Terith collected her backpack that was supplied by her subordinates for her trip. The backpack carries rations and premium medical packages that are given to the organizations by a pharmaceutical company. If there are places for her and the others to eat and drink, then Terith is glad that the subordinates gave her a part of their payments so she and her team will be able to get goods on their way to the fray. She stood before the senkaimon with a tricky gadget that seems to point to a dot in the middle of all these lines. Perhaps the dot is where Yuudeshi-chan will be? Terith thought to herself as she entered the gateway.

Like a clumsy, pain-prone girly girl, Terith enters the scene... six feet above where Shatari will be and immediately forgets to channel her reiryoku to allow her to stand on mid-air. She falls ungraciously towards the rooftop as she flails around with a panicking shriek, "KYA!" If she hits the floor of the rooftop, she would land hard on her front side before she whines, "Iiiiiteeeh~" If she was caught before she hits the floor of the rooftop, then she says, "Arigatou~" After her fall, her bo-staff lands a few feet away from her.

"I took roleplaying and storytelling with a live-and-let-live attitude, thus the idea of a character doing something out-of-character would add more to the character than letting it stagnate into an archetype or a character. Here: A rapid change to a character must be met with an in-the-moment conflict. Ta-da! A rule to live by!"

Tessa had been sitting on top of the skyscraper for a few hours, bored out of her mind. A couple of days back she had received a message from her friend, telling her about a fighting tournament like event going on in the skies of the real world. It then continued to tell her that she had been selected to help out a couple other individuals in obtaining the rewards from this event. Her friend had then added to the original message, which had been from a captain, his own little message, telling her not to harm any of her team mates, and that she was to trust them as she trusted him. She smiled, at least she knew she could trust these people. Just then a beeping noise came from the communication device she had been given. Taking it out of her backpack, she could tell it was coordinates to a specific location, which seemed to be on top of one of the nearby towers.

Sighing, Tessa took a look at the gps, then stretched. Standing up, it was easy to tell how different she was. Bright red hair was perched on top of her head, small horns sticking up from it. Blue eyes sparkled from their places in her soft face. On her back was a pair of red wing, slowly stretching out from their folded position. Her red scaled tail thumped once against the building, her shinigami outfit rustling in the breeze. Her outfit was standard in most ways, though it had been necessary to modify it for her additional limbs. The only other difference was on her left chest, a red dragon emblem had been embroidered there. Jumping from the building, she let her head drops, her wings catching on the wind so that she started to glide down the street in the direction the coordinates had indicated her team mate was.

As she approached it, she saw another shinigami arrive, then fall towards the street below. Diving quickly, Her hands shot out, the scales on the back visible as she caught the newcomer. Her tail slapped out, curling around the staff she had dropped when she had fallen. Beating her wings, she rose in to the air, coming level with the girl who had sent the coordinates to them. Setting the shinigami on the edge of the building, she stood there, floating in mid air as she looked at them.

"Am I correct in assuming you two are the ones I'm supposed to be working with?"

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
"Of course it is. Are YOU going to question beholder's artistic sense?"

To the soul wandering all alone
Shisome Saihossoku; KHS Class 1-S/Judgement ; Human; 5-1+

Enter The Adapting Doll
Do not be afraid, wandering gypsy

An island in the sky. That was the first and foremost thing on Shisome's mind; the creation of this massive city, area building. The entirety of it was a myriad, a collage of things thrown together; the doll knew that, her long hair billowing in the wind behind her. A place for adventure, not fighting; she knew not of wars, of chaos, or devastation; for her heart was an innocent one, never once conceiving that someone could be truly evil. The skies were beautiful and bright, as the pale skinned girl simply stared at the world in awe; it was a beautiful creation, she could admit that much. And thus, for once, she wanted to move away from her own inaction, and become so much more involved; she wanted to reach the depths of the city, to it's highest peaks. Those blood red eyes of hers wanted to devour everything, to take it all in with a gaze of utter desire, and curiosity. For that was a strong motivator for the else wise apathetic girl. Shisome had a scientific like curiosity; the lure of adventure and power for those that had none was strong; many types of people would appear on this city, at this day. The girl was plenty powerful herself; that was a given, as she closed her eyes for a brief moment. In fact, her power had the potential to surpass anything, and anyone; that unlimited fact of adaptability, understanding and learning made the human doll a very, very valuable commodity.

However.. she wanted to meet the people, their reasons. And as such? It was entirely logical that she ally herself with the most hot blooded fool out there; and she knew one that fit the bill to a tee. Shatari Yuudeshi; a classmate of hers that she encountered, and had mixed feelings about. Shisome admired Shatari's need to do what was right, and her immediate ability to discern her morals, however, she was quite unable to understand the side of her that mocked, that sought to affirm her own strength by dominating and destroying others in their own paths. Was strength like that? Was Shisome crushing people without even realizing it? Such a thought was concerning, as she noted the area did not allow those of a high power level; that meant for now, she had a respite from Moonie. She loved her dog very much.. but yet there was a limit to how much the girl could handle. Of course, Shisome was promptly signed up to Shatari's squad, as she marked the interest; even she, a traditional person by nature, understood how to use a computer and the cyber-net. It was even easier considering the massive amount of knowledge she adapted thus far; but the girl felt like there was something missing. She had received a notice of two of her team members; and immediately she deduced that they were not human. Why? Because their names were ancient, and unfitting for modern day Karakura, and second, she knew the register of all humans in the city. She had gotten a peek at it once.

Therefore, it was logical to assume that, since she remembered neither of these names, they would not be human. Shisome adjusted her arm, tugging the arm band to make sure it remained snug over her black blouse, the sailor uniform pure black, red and white in color forms. Her gaze then moved on below her; Shisome's sensing ability had been greatly enhanced, considering she could use several basic concepts from the races to make a grand new skill if needed. She had the coordinates to their meeting place via a mail by device she had acquired, and thus floated over the area, waiting for her teammates below. The first sight she was granted was her classmate, Shatari; she seemed to be prepared, as Shisome was far up enough that nobody could see her unless they had a bird's eye or binoculars. But she could see just as well; something she adapted off Inanna possibly. Noticing the hot-headed classmate almost armed to the teeth, she gave a soft sigh. The black haired girl should have expected that. Turning her attention elsewhere, she noted a secondary presence, that proceeded to fall right from the air. The signature? Shinigami. Relatively low, but still decent, at least from what Shisome could tell. However, the levels made it almost certain she had no Shikai capabilities. However, the fall of the girl was interrupted by a dragon like girl; she assumed that made up the entire squad.

Shisome simply used a Shunpo to arrive directly behind them. Her long black hair danced in the wind, scattering the strands like spider silk, so thin, and mesmerizing. Softly pull a hand to her lips, she touched the bottom one, and tilted her head a fraction. ''Won't you try dying... just this once?'' she spoke eerily, letting her delicate voice ring across the area. However, once that was done, she took the steps towards Shatari, and not even looking at the girl, looked around. ''Scouting was complete; no targets sighted as of yet. However, the air's view of the map is completed, and accurate. Also, the building plans seem to be accurate as well; the map is trust worthy. Is there any data left to retrieve or complete?'' she said, not even bothering with introductions, but rather, moving straight to business, the soft wispy playfulness in her voice from earlier gone. Instead, she now spoke in completely apathetic tones, her voice almost like a wall; the girl was relatively short, somewhere in between 4'6 and 4'8. Her entire look, with the white alabaster skin, the crimson blood orbs and the utter midnight black of her hair made her look so unrealistically doll like it was eerie. In fact, many believed that Shisome was indeed incapable of feeling, or anything of the like, due to the complete apathetic nature of herself. It was something that belong uniquely to her, regardless of whom or what stood in her way, or even tried to console her about it.

Shisome shifted her body, keeping an eye on the two other teammates she did not know; the Judgement band almost too bright on her clothes. The doll's fingers traced over the guns, as if analyzing them; and then her gaze turned to her teammates, starting with Shatari. Apart from her initial speech, she offered nothing more then her silence and company. For that was the nature of Shisome; a solitary force. But what had she become? What had she tried to achieve? What is she trying to do, in such a lonely place, in such an out placed situation for her? Shisome disliked fighting, but often overwhelmed the opponent with her powers in order to get them to submit. So that nobody got hurt; and nobody would have to suffer, much like she has. But how had she suffered, when she couldn't remember such things? The pain felt like needles in her heart, malevolent whispers in her mind. But she understood something infinitely precious; she was not here to play around, not by a long shot. Shisome would not allow herself to be caught in games; as such she expected the same out of her teammates.. particularly Shatari. But her guts told her this girl was actually smart; so whatever the small Yuudeshi had planned? Shisome was certain that they would be able to implement it.. and then expand it to great success. That was their goal, wasn't it? To win this tournament for their own reasons, their own values, but as a team. Yet they knew nothing of each other.. maybe they would even come to dislike, hate, and want to kill each other for petty reasons. The possibility was there, all things considered.

And it would make things all the more interesting to say the least.
