» Physical Appearance Description: "Mattie" as he prefers to be called, is rather soft and quiet in looks. He doesn't dress in bold outfits or have a weird hairstyle, he wears simple clothes and has simple blond hair. His hair falls around his face, framing it gently, with one little curl sticking up. He has glasses, simple wire frames, that only serve to make him look younger and baby faced in most instances. His eyes are an unusual violet, a tranquil yet captivating color few truly notice, with very long lashes that give him a more delicate look. He often wears simple sweaters, with maple leaf prints, soft, thick, warm, long sleeved things, that only serve to make him look cuter and more helpless. He also sometimes wears a huge fluffy white coat, or a plain white button up shirt with brown suspenders and matching brown pants, all his clothes usually being fairly plain.

Matt is also quite adorable, and when cosplaying has been known to cause nosebleeds with men and women alike. With that sweet, delicate look and a cat outfit he could probably get people to do almost anything for him, though he would never take advantage of that, as sweet and delicate is more than just a costume.

"Do you know what it's like to be invisible? To be ignored? And when they do notice you they mistake you for somebody else. That is my life.

I live in my brother's shadow. Everyone talks about how great he is, how free, how athletic, how rich, how he's so much better than the person people can't even remember the name of.

I sometimes wonder... if I died today... would anyone even notice? Or would they go on with their lives, completely oblivious?

All I want is to know that I mean something. All I want is to be acknowledged that I'm here and somebody cares.

All I want.

Matthew is the quiet type nobody ever notices. He doesn't excel in anything, except perhaps when he is in nature. He isn't the type to stand up for himself, far from the confident, loud man his brother is. He gets depressed at times, hating how he can't even speak up loud enough to be heard or make a difference. He's the type who could go a lifetime without anybody even knowing his name. Without ever being noticed. Without ever being heard.

It's his greatest dream to be heard, to finally be free of the cage of silence he has been trapped in his whole life. He wants his name to be known. For people to recognize him. If he could get even just a few people to remember him, make a strong enough impression to be remembered, he would be incredibly happy. But the more people ignore him or forget him the more depressed he gets. He thinks of killing himself at times, just to see if people would even notice or care. Even his own brother can get caught up at times and forget he exists. He never gets used to people he's known for years forgetting who he is. It hurts him more than anyone could ever know, being the one person who is always ignored.

Matthew is a sweet person in general, the helpful kid who always helps you no matter who you are. He loves to help animals in need, taking care of people always has been calming to him. He is especially loving towards Alfred, his brother, whom he cares deeply about. He cares for his family, though he is quite different from them, not the bright shining star like Alfred. But he still supports them, always there and willing to hold them up when they need it, always acting as the rock. However, he can be unstable, being the rock of the family is hard and he has nobody to lean on as his family leans on him.

Rather than being a rock Matt wants to be as light as air, as free as a bird. He wants to soar high above the rest and find freedom from his monotonous life. Failure is not an option, not until he's reached his goal.

Matt, though he may not seem like it, is not a person you want to piss off. It takes a lot to make him angry, but in the instances he does get angry you will probably find yourself backing away, for his Wrath can be terrible. Like the howling winds that can blow people away, he too blows people away with his rage.

Matt has a strange quirk, an obsession with maple, one so deep it can be a bit frightening. He eats everything with maple syrup, even things that are really better off without. He loves the stuff so much that he carries a bottle of maple syrup with him wherever he goes, in a special pocket he had tailored into his jacket just for the maple. Maple is also a word he uses rather than proper words when reacting to certain situations. For example, when shocked or embarassed he might say: "M-maple" rather than saying something like "Stop!" or nothing at all.

He is always carrying around a stuffed polar bear, a present Alfred gave him a long time ago, that he has treasured and kept to this day. It may not look important to most people, but Matthew would be absolutely miserable if anything happened to it, since it is his precious treasure, a gift from the brother he loves so much. He is like to treasure anything his brother gives him, big or small, as long as it was from Alfred he will treasure it. Because he loves his brother, he will always accept anything.

He will also forgive his brother anything because of that love, no matter what he wants to accept and be there for Alfred, he wants to make sure that his brother always has him, at least. Forgiveness comes naturally to him, especially when it comes to Alfred, who is EVERYTHING to him. Nobody and nothing means more to him than Alfred. Matthew would sacrifice anything for his brother, even his one chance of being seen, if it meant seeing his brother happy and healthy.

Matthew is known as Moose, an endearing nickname given to him after he dressed as a Moose and ran through the city streets chasing people on a dare. This is something that stuck with him all his human life, and after his reincarnation as an Iramasha, the affectionate nickname remains. It is a source of great embarrassment for him, and he only allows Alfred to call him by that nickname. Anybody else who tries to call him that will more like than not wind up flat on their backs, wondering what happened to them.

Matthew is bilingual, and can often be found speaking a mix of French and English. However, this can end up being difficult to understand, as he sometimes jumbles his French and English words around. He can usually count on his brother to understand, however.

Matthew has a complicated history, both from his human life, and his Iramasha life.

His main story begins when he and Alfred were 5 years old, starting school for the first time.

Each of these short stories tells of a different event in Matthew's life, all important to what he has become today. After the death of his human body, he was reincarnated as an Iramasha, along with his brother. Though their human age is only 19, their Iramasha ages are separate from that, and neither age has any relation to the other. Now that he has become an Iramasha, Matthew has vowed to keep his brother safe, so that he never has to see his brother dying again.

Strong: Though he does not look like the kind of person who would be strong, he is fairly strong both mentally and physically, as he has gone through much he had to be tough to survive. As one who has seen much, he has learned to be as strong as he can, doing what he had to in order to survive.

Blending In: Matthew was always the kind of person who blended into a crowd fairly easily, and people rarely notice him. He blends in to crowds easily, but he mainly blends in well in enviroments involving water, his main element. Because of this, he can blend nearly flawlessly into a crowd, or a body of water, for a total of 1 post.

» Aether Class Power: Holy Water, as suggested by the name, Matt uses powers pertaining to the Holy and water elements.

» Aether Class Abilities:

Draining:
This ability is useful, far more so than Matt's other abilities. It allows him to use the moisture in the air to use his powers, even in places where there is no water. Eventually, when he is stronger, this ability will extend to being able to use the water inside plants, but for now only extends to the moisture in the air.

Water Maple: Throwing Star
This ability is simple, almost laughably so, in how it works. Matt manipulates water into the shape of a maple leaf, each able to be used as a throwing star every time he makes one. These are fairly ineffective in terms of how much damage they do, but can serve as a decent distraction if need be. There is a limit of 5 of these being made at once, and after each case using these there is a short 2 post cooldown. These, of course, are weak against lightning users, unless pure water is used to make them. These are also fairly ineffective against earth users.

Great Water Vortex: Implosion
This technique is a bit more powerful than most of Matt's powers, and though it at not be the most powerful technique he has, it is certainly one people do not want to be caught in. everybody knows what a whirlpool is, a huge vortex of water, yawning wide open like some great big mouth, but they have never seen a whirlpool quite like this. This technique has 3 stages to it. First, Matt uses nearby water to create a vortex, swirling around in front of him.

The next step is more tricky: Matt uses the movements of his hands to direct the water until it has enclosed itself around the enemy, entrapping them in it's raging waters. This, of course, can always be turned on Matt by a fire user, who can probably use their powers to evaporate the water if they are more powerful, or an ice user, who can simply freeze the water before it can trap them.

The next step is the step that actually does damage. the first 2 steps will not do much to the target, though if the target chooses to fight the whirlpool it can quickly become hard to keep your strength up. Taking as little damage as possible when trapped hinges on non-resistance. The final step is the part people especially need to watch out for: the implosion. The target, if the first steps were successfully completed, is now trapped in the vortex, and it s time for the next action to begin. Once the target has been trapped, the vortex will implode on itself, collapsing and putting a great deal of pressure on the target, who at this point should still be trapped at the center of the vortex. As the vortex collapses in on itself, the water pressure puts a great deal of stress on the target's body, potentially causing enough damage to render those who are weaker unconscious, and those equal or stronger will like be fairly weakened, at least for a moment. This ability is very powerful, and as such has a large cooldown of 5 posts before it may be used again. Note this can only be used on a single target. Also note fellow water users should remain largely unaffected, as they will like be able to resist the pressure, and the other 2 steps as well.

» Sub-Aether Class Power: Matthew controls water, thus meaning all states of water, and thus also has minimal control over the gaseous and solid states of water, or water vapor and Ice.

Ice Technique: Frozen Maple Rain:
This technique is one that utilizes the solid form of water, ice, by freezing the droplets of water Matthew gathers from his surroundings, and creating maple-leaf shaped daggers of ice, none much bigger than the size of a thumbnail. As these are formed, they fall from the heavens, raining a great deal of pain on those they hit. Though none does much damage on their own(1/100th beginner strength) altogether, as these number in the hundreds whilst forming, can do a great deal of damage if enough hit. This technique is not very useful against fire users, who can melt the ice, or earth users, because ice and water techniques are simply less effective against a solid mass of earth, if the target bothers with defense.

Steam Blast:
The gaseous form of water may be anything from water vapor to steam, and this technique utilizes the gaseous form of water to cause some nasty injuries to the target. Steam is the evaporating water that is formed when water boils. Matt draws water from his surroundings in order to utilize this, and sends that water at an enemy in a single blast of steam, one that may cause some nasty burns, though it is not the type of attack that really causes enough damage to slow the target down. If the attack is successful, it is fairly painful, but in fact does now more damage than any beginner attack.
