A sigh escaped the young man as he finally let his frame relax. Walking down the street and away from the noise of the crowds near the arena itself. Since the start of the Arena fights, he couldn't help but be a bit thankful for the distraction. It hadn't been long since he'd joined the Vandenreich, much less arrived at the city so shortly before the attack.

A lot was on his mind, especially getting used to the training that was getting him acclimated to his new job. Frankly, most of the time he was too busy to really worry about anything. And he kindof enjoyed that.

Still, moments like these, fresh from a fight, and with nothing but a few hours to kill before he needed to worry about heading home. He could finally relax and settle in his thoughts.

Grrrh.

Hm. And maybe get some food.

No Rhythmn for Guilty Souls [Edelo, Kanae] 1x3PJOh

CAPTAIN NAGOSHI KANAE

The endless noise of walking corpses drew forth a grimace from Kanae. Though she had managed to gain some good information and insight into the abilities of the Vandenreich by coming to this arena, she was beginning to regret ever stepping foot in this disgusting, human-filled city. The crowds of city-goers just. Wouldn't. Shut. Up. She couldn't believe she was being anything close to sentimental, but Kanae found herself missing the silence of her large mansion in Seireitei, far from her Division, and certainly far from this mess.

Having finished up another bout in the arena earlier in the day, one where she left practically without a scratch, Kanae was in good shape to walk around for a little while before returning to Soul Society. Instead of wandering, she found herself in need of silence, lest she risk what little control she had over her more brutal instincts shatter. Just outside the stadium Kanae walked over to a bench near a patch of grass, away from the rabble at the structure's entrance, and sat in silence, her Zanpakuto draped across her Shihakushō-covered lap.

I gain nothing from killing them all. Yet, I...

Edelo didn't take long to get himself something to eat. Truth be told, he wasn't sure what it was. a ...quesadilla? Whatever that meant. He'd been trying a few places here and there. Try new things right? And this was something he'd gotten pretty fond of. Especially since the shop he got it from had some pretty nice sizeable portions. And so his one Quesadilla, was actually enormous enough to be about two meals. Buuut as good as the food was. He still couldn't quite get used to how noisy the place was. Too many people. Too much stuff his eyes could catch on. And so, after getting his order, he made his way out to one of the parks. Finding a nice, secluded place. At the edge of a small little pond. He found himself a nice picnic table, and sat himself down, setting out his food and cutting out a portion for him to eat, and promptly dug in.

And once that first bite came in, a soft sigh of enjoyment slowly escaped him. Good food, a gentle breeze, and no crowds. What more could ya want? Of course he did pick up someone off in the distance, actually... didn't he recognize her? But his mind didn't snare on that for too long. Food was in play, and so he focused on eating quietly, relishing the mix of cheese, tortilla, and grilled steak. No doubt a pretty great smell for anyone nearby.

CAPTAIN NAGOSHI KANAE

Finally, a semblance of peace came to the aggravated and unsteady Captain. Tosatsusha, her trusty Zanpakuto partner, whispered in her mind, egging on her most malicious instincts. No, Tosatsusha. While I agree it would be nice to separate all these useless humans from their skin, we can't throw everything away on a whim like that. There was rarely much she could say to calm the ceaseless thirst for blood within herself or her partner, but she knew her words were true. Much to her own chagrin.

Kanae's attention was drawn to a strange-smelling human nearby who promptly sat down at a table and began digging into his lunch. He was a living, breathing human, but...something was off. Her violet gaze honed in on the stranger, searching for answers. Looks somewhat normal she thought to herself. With her day already ruined by being surrounded by rabble, Kanae stood to her feet and walked directly towards the stranger eating their food in peace. When she was within speaking distance, she demanded answers rather brusquely.

"What are you?"

He blinked for a moment as he sensed the woman approaching. He didn't really pay her much mind. Not with his lunch all hot and ready for him. He took another bite, presuming that the woman would simply walk past him on the way to wherever it was she intended to go. However, as she drew nearer, he became more acutely aware that she was heading straight for him. And that caused him to pause and swallow his food.

He looked up just in time to see the scrying look on those pretty features and he promptly recognized the pretty features. No less the sword she had at her side. Ah, she was a Shinigami. And a captain at that if he remembered. And so as she waltzed right up to him and made such a sudden demand, he was a caught a bit off guard. Raising his brows for a moment before chuckling softly.

"Ger man, on my Mother's side mostly. Hello Miss." He set his food down and turned to look at her more directly. Thankfully, his discipline was well enough that he didn't have to worry about any accidents these days. Though he did have to make sure he looked her in the eye. Huh, he was remembering her a bit more. She was a bit strange, certainly. But pretty as well, and she'd been fast, graceful, and relentless in the arena if he recalled. It had been quite a show to see her.

[color=olive["But If you're asking what I ...AM. I'm a fullbringer. At least that's what I've been told. Sorry I couldn't really tell you more than that."[/color] He confessed, gesturing toward the seat across from him. "You're free to join me if you like. I got a bit more than I actually plan to eat. Didn't expect such big portions." HE noted with a smile and a light chuckle.

CAPTAIN NAGOSHI KANAE

W...what? Unprepared for the stranger's initial answer, Kanae was left a bit confused. "Ger Man"? She'd never heard of it, unable to recall even a mention of such a thing in her studies since exiting prison. Surely if he was some unique creature he wouldn't be walking around in public carefree like this, she thought silently to herself. As she stared down at the sitting Edelo, Kanae's features never softened in her analysis of the man. Her purple eyes shone quite brilliantly in the midday sun, her scanning gaze crystalline and piercing.

Ah. So he's a dullard. Edelo's second answer was more satisfactory for the Captain. She had heard of Fullbringers before, or at least had read about them in Soul Society. She would spend hours at a time reading books delivered to her office from the Seireitei library in order to catch up on all she missed in her thousand year absence while locked in away in that dreadful prison.

Wanting to examine this Fullbringer more closely, Kanae sat across from him, her form rigid like a statue as she planted herself on the bench. She ignored his offer to share his food and instead pressed on questioning his identity "You don't know anything else about your abominable blood, Ger Man? Did you inherit it or did you become what you are through some event?"

Brows raised slightly, but he didn't seem particularly taken aback in response to her rude comment. The woman had been brimming with tension ever since he said the word 'fullbringer'. Interesting. Everything from the pumping of blood through her veins to the tension in her muscles was visible to him now that he was actually paying attention and not just trying to mind his business. Particularly with that tone of hers. That said, he didn't see anything that would preclude an attack, so for the time being, he didn't let it phase him outwardly.

He took another bite of his food and washed it down with some water as he spoke. "Just Ger works fine." He wasn't gonna explain ethnicity to the woman, just better to roll with her misunderstanding. "No idea. I had a rough life around a lot of hollows when I was growing up. So I don't really know. Could be either. You sure you don't want some water? You seem a little tense." He offered with a gentle smile, eyes locked to her own as he patiently awaited what he presumed would be more questions.
