Artist: Majikoi — Song: Naoe Family

The atmosphere shook as the normal bounds of space were disregarded, a rupture opening up in thin air. From total darkness, a tall woman was tossed straight out into the open, with no consciousness to where or how she would land. The streets below left little safe space to stand, as an inferno stretched from one side to another, and from horizon to horizon. Looking now, it seemed like the entire world here had been set in fire, and there was simply no space where the air wasn't shallow or a fire was lighting up the area. Was it day or night? The difference was difficult to tell. Naomi didn't want to think about it either; she was still a bit sleepy from her last match.

As she was not very mindful, nothing stopped her from landing straight into the heart of one of the larger fires, just letting the vehement light devour her whole. She was gone from view for quite a while, with no sign of her silhouette moving about in the grand vastness of the fire. It took several moments before the blue-haired woman stumbled out of it, arms swinging lazily from side to side and her expression one of exhaustion. She seemed completely unphased by both the heat and the lack of oxygen, though her clothes were not so invulnerable. Patches here and there were missing now, revealing parts of her skin that may or may not be indecent.

Some small flames persisted on her shoulders and arms even after she left the source, so she tried to pat them out as best as she could. Given the lack of oxygen, it actually wasn't too hard to snuff them. In fact, Naomi wondered briefly how all of this fire was being sustained when the air was so thin, though the conundrum left her mind once the required thought became too much for her to handle. She began her trek towards what looked like the only free space for as far as the eye could see: A large open patch of ash and cinders, for everything there had been burned up leaving nowhere for the fire to exist.

Her feet dragged in the black soot, drawing trails with her shoes. She let out a big yawn, having the desire to just lay down right here but knowing she'd be awakened soon anyways. After all, the tournament was still going on, and Naomi had progressed further than she expected. Her goal had been to gain a little fame for her family's name, for the sake of her sisters... though it has evolved far beyond that now. Perhaps there was even a chance she could achieve the grand prize at the end of it all... though she forgot what that was now. No matter, for there was still a vast amount of energy residing within her even after the nonstop matches she was being put through.

Then again... a small nap wouldn't kill her, would it? She began to close her eyes, dozing off, sleeping while standing, in the midst of fire...

As the world seemed to phase out of existence in one place, it seemed to link into another world that was entirely unlike the place that was becoming one with it. As the large gap between space opened wide only one thing seemed to move from within the seperating blackness. A crimson haired man seemed to simply move with little effort through to the raging inferno that rested below him. As he moved the defying of gravity slowly seemed to be apparent as he held himself in the air unlike what could be possible by physics. However as the gate behind him shut Akakotei would be left with falling with gravity from below causing him to plummet with greater speed. It seemed that the thing holding in place was the comfort of gravity from the other side, and he couldn't seemingly hold himself in the air as he would have prefered, perhaps it was due to the thinned air from the blaze draining it below but all that mattered was to be on the ground anyway, so for him it seemed only natural to allow nature to take its course. However just because he was willing to fall it did not mean that the former tyrant was willing to let himself or his clothing be burned by the flames below so he sought to first fix that.

As he reached the ground with the fires rising above the surface to exert heat and the fury of destruction Akakotei moved to decrease his incoming speed, to make sure he didn't cause more issue for the dilapidated area and with his greater control he scanned the surface of his new surroundings for a safe place for landing. He was lucky that he would find such with little issue, it was another benefit of being able to spot even miniscule details from miles away. As the demon moved the fires below him seemed to lose all strength as the object gunning towards them moved breaking the sound barrier with ease, only to let up as he reached his destination. The blackened field wasn't hard to spot from the growing light of the flames, what was even more important to him was that he noted another figure that was apparent in contrast to the ebony background that laid before them. Landing with a soft touch as he held his body with little effort even without the air to aid him the Crimson Emperor noted his next opponent, or at least that was what this girl seemed to be... Though from what he could tell this girl... Was sleeping.

As the somber look from Akakotei did not seem to change he noted his opponent, his eyes seemed to note an irregularity from her appearance or sensing her intent from just his sight, however he could not note any sort of sense other than her own mind adrift in sleep. Moreover he noted something that was prominent on her person, her clothes seemed to have burned and charred from contact with the fires around them, however this girl seemed to show no wound or even slight burning on her person. From what he could tell she was human, which made it even more a point for him... Even with powered humans these fires could only be protected from so much, what's more is that the size and intensity of the flames seemed entirely unnatural in comparison to the materials left to form them in the world. The wonder made Akakotei question her lack of injury, but it pointed out something else he had noted, while her clothes were burned up his had been cut and torn in his last battle. While the wounds taken had been healed with no sign the Emperor found it uncouth to be ill-dressed for a fight... He had thought about sowing the suit attire he had been wearing but as it stood for now it would not be appropriate considering they maybe burned in a few moments anyway.

As he looked back to his opponent he noted that she was still asleep and seemingly unaware of the surroundings, especially while sleeping standing. Her complete lack of awareness made the Demon smile slightly as he respected such disregard of danger even with the world being the way it was now. As Akakotei stood a few meters away from her he noted that with her current state of slumber it was an easy chance to take the first move. "Though I do regret having to awaken you, I'm afraid the two of us are suppose to fight... And I would not be so unruly to attack someone sleeping." His voice seemed to pierce the noise and chaos around the surging flames to almost stop completely... He could have made the first move, but he was not willing to attack someone simply because they were sleeping moreover to do such would seem to him trying to take advantage, something he never had to do for an opponent's sake... He had plenty of advantage beforehand.

Artist: Undertale — Song: Ghost Fight

In her semi-conscious—or rather not-very-conscious-at-all state—Naomi did not notice the moment when another person had joined her in this fiery hellscape. She'd blacked out several times as her body teetered back and forth on her feet, as she displayed her mastery over the art of sleeping while standing. During one of those instances where her senses were shut off, a man must have arrived, supposedly to be her opponent. She looked tiredly through the narrowed slits of her eyes, so scarcely ajar that she was looking through a screen of her eyelashes. The only details she could really make out through the mesh was that it was definitely a guy and that he had red hair. She gave up trying to see from that point onward and just closed her eyes, groaning under her breath from the exertion of having to use that sense.

She acquired a sense of déjà vu from his opening statement, recalling back two matches ago when her opponent had chosen to wake Naomi rather than take advantage of her sleeping habits. Naomi could only give a wide grin to the male: How kind of him~. She would let out a small laugh, bringing her arm up to give a cursory point in his general direction with her finger. Her voice was high like that of a child's; wavering back and forth in tone and with each word drawn out slowly due to her sloth-like nature. ''Haha~... One of the other people I fought was just like you, so kind... But I had to crush his chest since he was my enemy~...'' Her last sentence drew out into a long yawn, as the same hand she used to point at him no opened up to cover her mouth. She was not subtle at all about it.

Needless to say she was unaffected by the menacing ambience surrounding her new opponent, not because she was a brave individual, but simply due to how much of an oblivious woman she was. She couldn't fear what she couldn't sense, and she was more likely to misunderstand it if she ever did detect it. This was quite the bit of foreshadowing, as shady auras were not the only thing she was able to just ignore. Naomi was an existence seemingly in its own world, and she did not play by the rules of this dimension or that dimension. The lack of any physical marks on her body was only a hint to her little enigma. Not even she herself fully understood the nature of her abilities, she just went with the flow—a tact that suited her well.

''Uooh~... I'm gonna have to beat you too, so... no getting maaaaaaaad~'' She knelt down as she was speaking, cocking both her hands up in the air in the moment before slamming them down into the ground. There were two large impacts, puffing up clouds of dust to conceal how Naomi's fists plowed beneath the surface of the ground. With seeming ease—as though the land beneath her feet was cotton candy rather than asphalt and rock—she pulled two large fist-shaped slabs out of the ground. She swung them around a bit like they were boxing gloves, and they kept together as one solid chunk as though some force was keeping them like that. ''Unless you really want to... I guess it's okay~''

With that, she started to walk forward. At first, slowly, but gradually picking up the pace like a person shaking off sleep. The walk turned into a jog, then into a run, before evolving into a full sprint. It was not superhuman, but the distance between the two would soon be closed. Her right fist rode the momentum as she sent it soaring ahead of her, a boulder nearly as large as the man about to be hit by it. It was quite obvious, but any competent fighter could tell the ridiculous power behind the attack by just looking at it; how the dust was kicked up by the movement, and how the forces distorted the space around the gauntlet.

Impressive, albeit the wielder of this power would prove to be clumsy. After throwing the punch, Naomi wouldn't think to try and maintain her balance afterward, and the weighty slab would carry her off her footing. Immediately after such an incredible attack, Naomi fell forward and landed on her stomach while sliding, chafing off more of her fragile clothing and dirtying her front side on the ash. When the stone hit the ground it cracked the surface and dug out a trail for several more meters after being grounded, toting the blue-haired woman along for the ride. It was to be expected, of course, for she'd only just made these weapons moments ago. They were a little bit cumbersome to deal with at first...

It seemed his rather lax opponent had taken notice of him as he called out to her, as she turned to look at him it seemed that she did not particularly take notice of him more just that there was a person in her presence. As it stood Akakotei was fairly impressed at this woman, not only was she able to sleep standing something he had only found in two other people to do but moreover she seemed to be entirely relaxed through all things. For someone who was clearly capable of getting through to another stage in this grandiose spectacle of a tournament and to be able to do such with seemingly no damage made the Crimson Emperor interested in this person... She seemed to be much more than what he was expecting from his opponents. As she laughed slightly she seemed to recall a moment in a prior match, one where her opponent would not take up the chance to attack her while she slept calling back to his kindness before she tore into his chest and ripped him apart. "...I suppose that is a way of dealing with chivalry, but don't mistake me waking you and not attack as kindness, I simply want to see what you are capable of... My last opponent managed to lay some cuts on me because I allowed it... But from what I can tell you maybe an entirely different beast..."

His words, especially in the terms 'Beast' it seemed that the Crimson fiend took his opponent as much more of a threat than his prior enemy. It was mostly due to her air of ignorance that most would not be able to tell, but in his eyes it could not be hidden, her stance and actions left her defence full of holes... But Akakotei could usually find something or somewhere from a person's body where it was its weakest. For this girl no such opening seemed to exist, it was as if she hadn't needed to be careful and that her own disposition was the end of those who took her without seriousness. As the woman seemed to not take any of it seriously Akakotei couldn't help but have a slight smile on his face as he was sure that this would be much more than just a sparring match for him. Her declaration of victory made changed his smile to a unyielding smirk, as if her declaration was something that made him happier than something he was worried from. "I have no reason to be mad, in the end victory is what I am best at." As he finished the girl's hands seemed to grab into the ground without resistance and tear up two large pieces of cement and earth, guarding the woman's hands while seemingly extending her reach before she charged she claimed he could get mad as if she did not have much to care for when it came to her words or not.

As she moved slowly before throwing herself quickly into it with a sprint towards him the Emperor stared towards his enemy, his smirk now a face of serene concentration. At least that what it seemed though his stance made it so he did not seem ready to fight... Though one look at his eyes could explain to those in the know why he did not change himself to respond as the fire's light seemed to simmer in the glow of the dual rings that appeared from his eyes.

The woman threw one of her armament towards his person as if a punch combined with even more surface area, the pressure and strength from the momentum was incredible for the lithe form that it came from and the size of the rock was enough to overtake and what should have crushed him. 'Should' was the appropriate word, his movement as he looked to the rock was almost like a dance... It was fluid yet had no more exertion than what was needed for him to completely avoid the projectile and the girl behind it simply moving with little interest in his opponent's position before turning his eyes to her. "Interesting, such power its enough to rouse my interest even when I can see it coming... But if you move so slowly you might as well be falling forwards..." As he moved passed her with the woman hurdling herself behind him Akakotei turned slightly, his arm raised as if a boxer performing a jab... But the pressure behind this blow was nothing like a simply body blow, as he pulled forward with his body the force of his extended arm did something unprecedented. It seemed like a snap in the air, but it wasn't the arm that seemed to crack but the air around it... The sound barrier blown away by a mere jab from him. The attack however was not from his fist but from the extreme air pressure that came from it, like a bullet from the back it would land on the mark of his opponent's back if she did not move. If she didn't he would be able to tell more about her from what the result was, he had used the move prior as a body blow to weaken his enemy's core.

For now it was a test, and to show he had no issue striking her while her back was turned, victory was simply a matter of life to him but finding someone with power unlike any he had seen previously? That was what made him join this tournament in the first place and hopefully this woman would not disappoint from her already while clumsy extremely powerful display.

While her eyesight was very much poor due to underuse, her other senses were very much impressive due to over-reliance upon them. The crack in the air from the punch was not only detected by the woman, but there were certain tones and reverberations that struck her ears from such an angle that Naomi could map out his body's form and movement from it alone. When he threw his punch, the sonic boom painted a colorless image of her foe in fluid animation within her mind, and Naomi could determine precisely when and where he would hit. That being said—as she was currently in the middle of tripping over a flat surface—it was a moot point and not something she'd be able to take advantage of. But for now, her opponent would detect the slightest perking of her ears if he was observant enough. His fist would crash into her back dead center.

And then it would bounce off, bone cracking and flesh bruising if he was not durable enough. His attack did not seem to accelerate or alter Naomi's forward momentum whatsoever, and he'd get the distinct impression of punching an immovable object... of extreme weakness at the instant of connection. The difference between his strength and forces resisting his attack was so astronomical that it gave an undeniable feeling of helplessness. It was impossible to determine the weight or density of Naomi from this. She would fall forward as expected, plowing a shallow trough into the asphalt street with ease. She'd let out a grunt of slight discomfort as she hit the ground, a seemingly delayed response to the male's punch, but nothing more indicated that she'd even been hit.

The way she got up was wild and unrefined, she propelled her upper body with her arms, so much so that for the slightest moment, no part of her was touching the ground, and she was thrown closer toward her opponent. There was also a slight spin, causing her to revolve with an arm swinging horizontally at him; a haymaker. It was unnecessary to explain what would happen if one of Naomi's attacks struck, as one could tell just by looking at them. A tsunami of wind trailed off of her arm, blasting loose debris away and catching both of their clothing like sails. There was such a power behind the swing that perhaps even avoiding it was not enough. A part of him that wasn't able to move over a foot out of the way would seem to be smashed by a concussive wave just by the collateral effect of her movement. It would not be nearly as devastating as a direct strike, but capable of sending his light body into a building on the other side of the street, perhaps.

Tracing the arc of this simple swing, a row of flames a few dozen meters across from Naomi, and behind Akakotei, would wink out as a blast of wind extinguished them. This could easily be ignored, though it was yet another detail to take in about the nature of Naomi's capability. It meant that when she swung in a line, a wave of force would be cast in front of her, and failing to avoid that blast too would send her enemy flying away with the wind knocked out of them. All of this in a single physical attack; it was as though every punch, every kick this woman through was like a powerful ability its own. And despite that, she didn't seem to be expending herself at all to produce this kind of strength. True enough, the way Naomi was moving suggested she was only going about this lazily.

But there was no time to worry about that. Surprisingly, she had a follow-up attack. As she landed on the ground, she would immediately take a step toward Akakotei, then shoot her back foot forward into a simple upward kick. It did not matter if he was within range for her to reach; collateral forces were once again at work. Starting from where her kick originated, the asphalt began to crack and split wide, becoming a great crevice that opened up several dozen meters in front of him. Anything caught in the same vertical plane would blown out of the way as kinetic force threatened to split them in half in much the same way. It would seem that whenever Naomi attacked in an arc... a great line of damage in the environment would reflect the trajectory. For certain... Naomi's opponent will never have witnessed a strength greater than this unless he'd seen no less than Radioactive's feats.

[adm]Since it's been two weeks since Dansen's last post, I'm going to go ahead and issue a notice for him @Dansen. If there isn't a post in the next three days, then most likely I'm going to close this thread out and move Naomi to the next round with your character having been knocked out. Please respond soon.[/adm]
