[align=justify]Generations ago, the lake where four Clans made their homes became victim to Twoleg expansion. In a dream, the former leaders of the Clans, Firestar, Blackstar, Tallstar, and Leopardstar, as well as Leafstar of the near-forgotten SkyClan, came together to tell the medicine cats of their wish for there to be five Clans again. SkyClan had moved to a new place where all five Clans could live together as they once did so long ago. Firestar explained SkyClan’s story to the medicine cats, who in turn urged their leaders to meet at an early gathering to pass the news on to their Clans.
Together, the four Clans traveled deep into the mountains, to a place untouched by Twoleg paws. SkyClan is already there, and the leader greets the Clans openly, showing them around the large spread of the valley they had found. Soon, boundaries and territories had been marked out and the Clans began their new life. A generation passed, and the five Clans learned to live together. Pleased with the new territories and the changes within the Clans, StarClan sent each medicine cat another message. Every Clan should be renamed, for they were truly new Clans, living in new territories and with new cats, the first in so very long to live as five Clans. ThunderClan lived in the forest, full of so many different trees; they were renamed TreeClan. WindClan, for their speed, was renamed LightningClan. Because SkyClan lived among the fallen rocks and boulders from one of the mountains, it was renamed StoneClan. ShadowClan, because they lived among the dark pine woods where light could barely claw its way through the branches, was called NightClan. And because the Clans were going back to ancient ways with five Clans, StarClan wished to signify this by renaming RiverClan to RainClan, for the river came from the rain just as the four originally came from the five.[/align]
