fff - The Reclamation War: Prelude - Page 2 Blade_soul_200

As the roaring of the hollows that emerged from behind her became a dull whisper, Naya turned to either side of herself and noticed the other Arrancar and Hollow that made their presences known from around her. Their faces seemed calm and sullen similar to her own, and thus did not feel threatened greatly by them at the moment. This could have been due to the Hollow's energy seeming to seal off most of their energy to protect her, and surely enough... this thought was correct.

When her vision was cleared of the lesser hollows that surged from Las Gargantas wanting freedom, there were multiple bursts of spiritual pressure that slammed against her body. She could not pin point each one specifically, as far as who's pressure belonged to whom, however she felt the crushing pressures from in front of her first, as that was what the hollows seemed to flock towards. The pressure made her quiver, her eyes widening to gain focus, and then squinting closed as she took a closer look at the figure in front. A pale skinned male, with the reflection of the moon's gleam becoming a beacon to his skin, to a point where it almost blended in. If she hadn't have noticed the red hue's underneath it's eyes and on its forehead, Naya very well would have skimmed across it to access the others who had froze next to her. The teal of her eyes gleamed as it tried to exchange looks with the figure, only to fail at holding eye contact with it, as the gaze felt too powerful for her to gaze to the figure as if it was a challenge.

I... I don't like this... I need to find a way out...

She thought as her head slowly turned away to the right and downwards, feeling ashamed and trapped within her own thoughts. Before she fully locked her gaze downward however, she noticed the other figures that were standing to the right of her. The first being a taller male figure, who was as pale, if not paler than that of the figure before them. In comparison to the figure, this one utilized a long dark colored cloak to contrast itself from the moon's glow, and with an obvious hole within the center of it's chest. It's eyes seemed to be closed, as all she could make out was the dark pit's where it's eyes should be covered by long striking white strands that billowed upon it's arrival to the location. And within it's hand, a long sword, though not as long as her own, was gripped tightly within its hands as it peered slowly from left to right as if it was selecting someone to fight if needed. Following suit, another pale figure, this one being with black hair and a black cloak. She locked on to this figure noticing the white sash around it's body, and it's facial expression looked both of annoyance and of stoicism. She continued her gaze, but noticing it look back to her, she turned swiftly to the next analysis, which were of two hollows. One of a snake and one of... a dinosaur... Naya looked to the snake first, noticing it's slight hestitant gaze and wanted to access her more, but wound up seeing a large figure stampede behind it and distract her from her original analysis.

Seeing the beast trample through, she then turned to her left and noticed even more figures, all of this began to overwhelm her as she started to step backwards, taking the mask like structure that was on her shoulder and placing it over her face, as a way to calm herself and feel safe around the wave of entities. She was used to being alone and away from a large portion of her kin, that seeing a lump some of them arriving at once around her made her nervous and hesitant. She did not like this feeling, as she continued to move backwards. She still looked at the other figured, not feeling scared by them, but curious as to why so many have arrived. The first of which to her left, looked like a child... in fact probably was a child in her mind. This stopped a lot of her jitters, as it seemed to be the only one that spoke upon arrival to the location, to which she let out a soft yet uncomfortable looking smile to the child, however since it was behind the mask, all that was truly seen was the teal of her eyes, staring coldly at the figure. And as she finished the grin, another figure arrived, and also spoke. In Naya's mind, these two felt as they were the most promising of the bunch, and calmed her from her escape plan even farther. Another soft nod to the figure who entered, and she spoke generally to address them both.

"I am Naya." was all she spoke, very direct and yet that was just her way of speaking to others after being subjected to not needing to speak for decades, if not centuries at this point. She stopped her back steps as she spoke, and then peered to the final figure that appeared though Las Gargantas, another silent one. One of a pale face, and soft white hair. He wore a dark shaded cloak as well, yet for some reason, something was off putting about this one. It made Naya become uneasy again. She opened her hand, and the handle of a blade fell inside of it and began to glow a vibrant teal. The blade was propped upwards against her back, so not to be a distraction or a call to arms, but as a way of protection from the entities, and another way of safety in addition to her mask.

All of this preparation and safety did not seem to matter however, as she felt a new wave of pressure, easily shrouding over all of the aforementioned figures she had seen, and the figure did not even arrive fully. Naya's eyes shifted furiously from behind her mask as she tried to pinpoint the source of this discomfort, even so much as to try to look at specific people that have arrived. The pressure began to get closer and she snapped her eyes immediately towards the direction of the source, and tried to lock eyes with it. Her eyes widened seeing the figure as it moved forward. A taller male figure, with dark auburn hair to contrast with it's paleness, and those eyes. The eyes that felt like each iris was a drill whirling through her own gaze, and superseding it infinitely. For once, Naya felt beyond uncomfortable, it was to the point where she felt tensed, gripping her blade harder, to the point where her knuckles audibly cracked with the tensity of her grip. The deep black cloak that covered him whipped around furiously and then came to a stop upon standing to greet them all, and when it halted, she continued to step backwards.

The pressure began to weigh on her body, the farther she moved, making her look like she was hunched over trying to duck underneath her power, hoping it would save her, but surely enough there was no avail to it all. As the power then began to slowly pull her in as if there was no choice but to accept her discomfort. Her teal eyes squinted again, this time out of fiery hostility, knowing that she was no where near strong enough to have the figure let her go by force, knowing she had to accept whatever was placed in front of her as soon as she crossed over. She stood in silence as she listened to his speech, her thoughts swirling violently in her head, making her become even more antsy and uneasy.

Why can't I leave... Why Am I Ambitious... And why pair me with someone... Do you assume I am a lesser... actually... from feeling their pressures... I am very much the lesser here... I should not have crossed over... I do not deserve to be here... I need to leave... Release me... As her thoughts swirled her breathing became heavier, and her body seemed to undulate in response, as though the very presence of being around this horde of entities was exhausting.

Upon Nagato's gaze falling upon Shi he didn't bother to respond but simply held a look of contempt. It was odd to find Nagato calling him angry, Shi didn't consider himself that at all nor did he believe others would call him that at all..Yet he didn't bother to verbally speak up against this deduction, finding it a meaningless way of stroking his own ego. Shi for the time being remained silent.

Coldblooded Hollow

Miia

Song: N/a STUFF - Artist: N/A STUFF - Words: N/A

Suddenly a loud crash and immense pressure could be felt all around her, everyone including the hollow before her was reacting differently to his presense..some were shocked some scared out of their mins and a few who didn't react at all. Miia on the other hand stared at the figure before her and just by looks alone it seemed as if he was an average man..until the dust cleared revealing that seem ordinary at all; with bright orange hair, and piercings all along his nose, and those eyes...it almost made her sick to her stomach like staring into a black hole.

The Monstrous huh... she remained silent as those words echoed throughout her mind, her eyes flashing back to the french revolution when it was just finally being reformed under Napoleon Bonurparte..people would scream in terror and sometimes grab their children and bring them to their house..some people even nicknamed her "Guerrero Manipuladora" because of the way her alluring body attracts men only for them to be her next meal. After that the girl wasn't herself anymore..she felt alone in this great big world of humans but after hearing Nagato's impactful words a smile of hope lingered all over her face..she'll do whatever it takes to remain loyal towards him, most importantly this would be her new family..a family that is just like her and despite their differences in personality and motivations they'll have to work together to complete a goal..and thats to take back their home.

Tyrant hunger did not understand what was going on nor why it was happening. Something fleeting had caught it's curiosity, then suddenly it was in a place that it did not recognize and was understandably confused. All it knew was that there were too many Hollows around it and it was inciting it's more bestial and territorial instincts to chase them away. For a moment it was ready to burst into sudden motion, it's limbs tensed and maw shut with a soft click as it's teeth started to grind together in barely restrained anger and hunger. The only thing that stopped it was the sudden appearance of another thing, it did not know what it was but Tyrant Hunger didn't have to be great at sensing in order to tell that the new arrival was strong. The need to survive overrode the need to rampage and it calmed down, burrowing slightly into the clearing and sitting in the pit it had just made with a growl-whine.

It listened to him talk, but once again Tyrant Hunger did not understand what he said because that was beyond it. What it did get was that he was addressing the entirety of those gathered. It turned its head to stare at the other Hollow that had been addressed along side of it sometime during his spiel before turning its head back to the new arrival and resting its head on the ground.

The Boogeyman

Buu

Song: N/a STUFF - Artist: N/A STUFF - Words: N/A

More people…

The number of those present kept increasing. And while their levels of power were indeed decent, the woman was just surprised that many had found the balls to stand up to the Demons; better late than never. With a bit more time to gaze on her surroundings, Buu was able to pick up on certain creatures she had missed moments earlier. A hulking Hollow beast, a form of snake like Hollow, and others. There was even another one of her kind that had arrived just after she did. His power was about on par with hers, though she made no attempt to greet him. His body was there, but it looked as though his mind was somewhere far away. The pale skin, the dark colors, and the seemingly detached attitude reminded her of beasts she had hunted, experimented, and fed on. They all had a very mighty and pompous attitude about themselves. Beings seeking revenge, seeking superiority and acknowledgement they weren’t able to find elsewhere; and they did. They tasted like candy. Granted she knew this man was perhaps on a whole different level than those she had consume, but it was a fun thought nonetheless.

Her thoughts would soon be interrupted, by a not so welcomed of action. The two men that had led the meeting had gone ahead and made their presence, clearer. It was a wave of spiritual pressure, sent out on purpose, for the means of…showing superiority? The concept was lost on the scientist. It seemed unnecessary, and petty. Nagato’s name was known across the realm as was Barragan’s. Anyone not living under a rock knew the power they possessed, simply by the name they bore. Even those who had quite literally been living underground, like herself, were well acquainted with what their name meant. She hadn’t survived for about 10,000 years through power alone. Being smart and knowing how to pick her battles had worked flawlessly.

Still, they had been summoned there because they had a common enemy. They had been summoned because the Hollow had enough of Demons thinking themselves superior. Most of the ones present, Buu included, had come from the shadows because the one leading them had the power to command and see ends meet. A wave of his spiritual energy meant to further impose or dick wave before them only helped to sell himself a little short in her eyes. It wasn’t a nice thought, but she wasn’t nice. Back to business however, Buu had no means to fight that sort of level of energy, and neither would she try. However, she wasn’t one to kneel, for anyone. Before she had even left the confines of her own seclusion, she had made it clear to herself this was simply a fun outing. Loyalty hadn’t been pledged to anyone, and it was still out for discussion as to whether she ever would when the dust settled. So, rather than caving down or fighting back, she did the most natural thing she could do, and allow the other side of her to take control momentarily with her unorthodox behavior. There was no disrespect meant by her action, at least no more than what was shown to them. It was the least offensive of ways to cope with a rather invasive and unnecessary act that lacked tact.

Her little torso extending and waving action would last just the few moments. As soon as the man started speaking she regained her composure and listened on attentively. In order to condense things, he was ready for war, as were they. The time was ripe to strike against the Demons and reclaim their land, and the time was now. What did sort of catch her by surprise was the titles he had given them. Maybe the rest paraded around the sands, displaying their likes and hobbies, and claiming a moniker for themselves, but that wasn’t her. Had Nagato seen her release, or seen her make cupcakes? That didn’t seem likely. She had to wonder why she was the hunger when the only ones to have seen it and experience it had long been dead. She had to wonder as to the level of accuracy of names given to the rest of the group; specially the last Arrancar to arrive. The superior, why? He certainly didn’t seem that much stronger than even the child Arrancar. Did that mean Nagato could prophesize the kind of abilities Hollow possessed? If that was the case, then he was a lot more powerful than she thought. Divinity was a hell of an ability. Being able to peer into enemy’s abilities would certainly help greatly in the war. Of course, it could’ve also been a sort of fluke as he attributed names that he thought fit best, though that level of accurate coincidences was more fit in a sci fi novel.

Rudi!!! in the land of beasts!

A single sandal-step onto the sands reverberated like the thunder of an oncoming storm. Rudi's little red eyes grew wide as saucers, his tail curling in agitation and the instinctive fear of an animal suddenly realizing he is in the eyes of something much more predatory than he. Rudi bared his teeth, small and pointy, instinctively. His small nose curled and wrinkled into a snarl, and his tail lightly moved to brush the air. In that moment, a yawning garganta opened, and he prepared to step back, to leave, to flee from witnessing whatever was the source of that power.

And then the spiritual energy hit him, and he found he couldn't move. He couldn't move, and, he found, neither could anyone around him. They struggled, but not a single soul shifted. This struck him as incredibly unusual, and his childish brain recognized the scene as like a whole bunch of dolls scattered over an environment. However, inside, he felt deeply afraid, existentially so. He knew that this was not a place for him. This was not a safe place for him, not anymore. Whoever came, or appeared, he didn't know who they were. And perhaps more exaggeratedly, Rodolfo inside him was demanding he flee.

Every step forward was too close, even though the source of the incredible power was quite far objectively. Rudi wouldn't have been comfortable being on the same planet with that energy.

It lightened again, and Rudi took his opportunity this time to definitely move to step into the garganta. He made it one step backwards, away from the man, the stranger, before the voice froze him again.

The voice, however, drew him back. It'd been some time since he had heard a voice with such presence, such direction. This man... reminded him of a better time in the past, beyond Rudi's memory, and struck Rodolfo to his core. This man spoke of faraway dreams and a rough determination towards defeating an invasive enemy. The demons. His mark burned at the thought, a toxic mix of love, despair and hatred seeping into his blood at the thought.

Rudi stood still then, listening, and when he was pointed out as Impure, Rudi didn't- he couldn't understand. But Rodolfo understood. The man knew. The man knew! A mix of fear, panic, anger, and deep, intense shame blossomed in Rudi's heart unbidden, and upon being pointed out for his impurity, he merely looked away, blushing like a shy child with no mother to hide behind.

Deep inside, Rodolfo mourned, for he wasn't even a true hollow amongst his kin anymore, and worstly, the man, their leader, saw through him effortlessly as if all of his secrets were merely the bottom of a clear pond. It felt like being flayed open, like the last time he was with that cursed mad queen of demons...

Rudi looked over at the other people around him, finding that one of the women had turned into a man! The others looked just as perplexed at being pointed out so carefully. Naya, was one woman, she introduced himself. Rudi grinned and waves at her as she did so, apparently forgetting the label placed upon him to his surrounding hollows. Surely such a title, the impure, would not be bereft of curious questions. "Hi Naya~ Hi Miss- er- Mister Buu~ Hi Mister... Nagato Tengan." The last name was trailed off, quieter, almost whispered. As if he thought, even still, he could hide somehow. He knew it was impolite to say hello when people introduced themselves... but...

His garganta closed behind him, seemingly forgotten, leaving Rudi with no immediate exit.
