The Silent Kuchiki

Takehiko Kuchiki

Space and a lot of effort he imagined were the requirements for learning from writing. His uncle Tsubasa had made a technique kept to himself away from others. He'd written about it and though Takehiko wasn't sure he could perform it. He was willing to try at the very least in private training. First thing was to keep in practice with Ulv's teachings of his breathing. Releasing and finding his First Kata and inner energy had been struggling. But he felt the growth in this regard as well. Reiki was a difficult concept until the breathing was understood. Now the steps seemed to be a flash step adding another one giving a bounce in speed. So the idea on paper was rather interesting, but Takehiko didn't know how well he could perform it. He was adept at the forms of Hoho. Getting sharper and faster every day with his practices. So tapping his foot he fired off a flash step combining his Reiki into it. Focusing his energy to the soles of his feet giving him forward thrust. Bringing his foot down he stopped dead in his tracks. Blinking for a moment shaking his head left to right.

Nope, that wasn't what he believed it should be. Merely almost doing another step. Was that the idea though behind this concept? Firing rapid flash steps with that didn't seem right to him either. Takehiko didn't have the mans mouth to draw from here only notes in a journal. The infernal thing didn't teach you anything really. Aside from his uncle had a very inflated ego. Closing his eyes he thought about the execution again. Clearly, it was meant to be a second step at some junction of the movement. His body had gotten better at using these techniques. Developing them more into things fit into his body. This was a high-level move he was trying to learn. So it wasn't a wonder that it didn't exactly bend or jump into his frame. He would have to wait much longer before gaining perfect control. So cracking his neck left to right he took a step. Jumping forward again with a flash step and in the middle this time he sent his foot down. This time felt better but something dawned on him now.

Wiping the sweat from his brow and mouth area with a sleeve. He thought about something what if the step was at the beginning of the movement? That was a possible arrangement for sure, his uncle was quick-witted enough. So if the user put their foot down right after flash stepping. The burst of secondary movement would be accelerated forward. Had he cracked the code was the question in that infernal journal? He couldn't be sure till he tried it again and his body ached so already. This move drained a lot of stamina for someone like him. He couldn't go around using it too much. But it was worth a try to do it now stepping he brought another quick step at the beginning of his movement. Sending him flying forward into a tree branch. He'd snapped through it and laid on the ground groaning. Not gracefully at least in any sense of the word. Takehiko had gotten a rather good idea of it. That hurt like hell but it was correct the movement.

Laying on the ground he smiled triumphantly, having learned something new. Trouble was he needed to get a handle on the speed and control. Not to mention his body needed breaks from using it. Was it medically a good idea for him to come out and try something? Nope, it was a dumb idea that could have risked further injury. But in this case, he needed to be faster. To move quicker towards saving people. That was going to be his gold egg in this regard. Something his uncle used for the right reasons. Takehiko believed this technique could be refined in order to save lives. To make people's lives better in the long run. The faster he could get to people to help them the better. Though he wasn't sure on the science of it yet. This was the right direction for certain, he was moving towards something. Something larger than himself in the long run and continuing his path. He'd resolved to use all sources of information available to him. To save lives he would do anything he could.

Shino Academy Resident

Takehiko Kuchiki

Sitting up finally rested again he didn't know how far he could get in exercises now. But three things had become more clear for him in this regard. He needed to be faster and more potent when it came down to it. Takehiko believed healing could only be accomplished with speed. He did not hold the capability to carry vast numbers of people. So he needed to be quick in this regard in order to get to people quickly and effectively. Takehiko didn't have the experience of elders to draw on at the moment. Besides he'd sooner rot in hell than ask that man about it. Progressing from nothing to something was always a challenging proposition really. Takehiko had spent time studying the movement only getting it right on his last try. Standing up he stretched his body centering himself again. Next option was to move his frame forward quickly as he used Hoho. Sending another step at the beginning sending him accelerating forward finally. This time he'd chosen a direction a bit less populated by trees and other foliage.

Coming to a stop he blinked around pleased with some results of the distance. His uncle's move was learnable at this stage. Though it wasn't perfect he was beginning to glean a picture from it. He believed he could focus in on this field and save many lives. Hoho, when trained effectively with his kido, could lead him somewhere. Did he intend to try and surpass his Uncle Byakuya? That wasn't important to Takehiko or even a considered thought process for him. Going back the direction he came, he performed the step again trying to master something. This was difficult so much more than your average step for him. But he had to learn in order to grow useful. Inventions and such things weren't his specialties. But he knew where he wanted to go now, his destination was clear. Now he had something to run towards which was the medical arts. To save as many lives as possible with his skills. To develop kido spells and come with ideas to rescue lives instead of taking them.

Takehiko wouldn't mind being the supporting cast in this regard truthfully. As a Kuchiki, they were always focused on something important here. Well, he'd found his reason and soon when he encountered Jaeden again. He would begin by training roughly to learn his zanpakuto powers and advance. His goal was so far away at this moment. But he believed in his heart he could become a healer someday. His kido skills and other capabilities would rise up through the ranks. Takehiko didn't intend to work on anything but medical equipment now. He was done with armor and trying to make weapons of war. He and Ruin would save lives now and show people that way. But a thought did dawn on him as he went to move. When should the healer draw their blade and fight those around them? When should he put aside his desire to rescue people? Landing at the next spot he'd gone further this time as he felt sweat dripping down his back. This technique wasn't good for someone of his skill set. Mastery wasn't likely but an understanding of it would improve as he went along.

Sitting down he reached in his bag pulling the journal out as he felt air coming and going. Making notes of things thus far and feeling some aspirations had come. It wasn't as though he was entirely certain what to make of it. When could he return to Jaeden Crow to begin true training? Now that he had ideas of how to train himself more. The goal was evident in his eyes as he looked down. Sitting upon this rocket felt wonderful for his legs. Takehiko had been training without much care for himself. It had all been about improving himself for his goal. At first, he held no answer in his heart. He wanted to save lives but didn't know how to go about it. Now he had a pathway something to lead him towards a goal. Unohana Retsu was a healer they had files on. But she was missing so asking her for lessons was out of the question. Not to mention his kido skills were subpar at best when it came down to it. He brought a hand up exhaling as he knew only one person who could help him improve.

The question was how would his uncle respond really to this request. Takehiko didn't know the answer to these things as he stretched himself out more. Satisfied with the training of the step as far as he could. He couldn't perfect it further due to his current spiritual pressure. So the question of training it further was just simply not advantageous for him. He'd need to grow more to revisit the step further his understanding of it. Bringing a hand up he thought about kido now as he took a stamina pill. Something to restore lost energy and promote a return. These things were fairly common. At least they were his he didn't know about producing them otherwise. So now the goal was to fire Sho and Byakurai in essence. His kido power was going to take time to generate. First bringing his hand up he fired a blast of sho out for Hadō one. This sent a pebble-sized blast outwards as he sighed at the size. Bringing his hands up he smacked his cheeks now exhaling softly.

He would try another one with more power into it but continued getting that same damn size. Deciding to switch to Byakurai now, he released a blast that was small and barely singed the tree he aimed at. Well, this was a depressing starting point he began to figure to himself. Thankfully he'd brought special medicine balls from his notes. Developing them they restored spiritual pressure for the user. Allowing them to continue despite exhaustion and restoring things lost.

The Silent Kuchiki

Takehiko Kuchiki

Takehiko's body felt aches all across it, especially in his hands. He'd fired kido all day almost and used these stamina pills to recover. His need to grow in kido was what drove him forward. That was a clear thing as he'd gotten a supply of them to eat for this situation. The trouble was though these were very potent and refueled energy slowly. They were meant for healers traditionally back in Unohana's day. Takehiko sat upon a nearby log of a recently standing tree. His fingertips hurt as did his body as he rested his eyes for a moment. His frame almost fell over on the ground due to the amount of work he put in. His hands felt a sting of pain through them as he looked upwards. He'd done as much as he could with stamina pills and everything. It was time for him to leave the training ground. His azure eyes scanned the area showing downed tree's and burned pieces of land. Small impact craters where he'd hit them with Hadō One from his practice. He'd been training himself rigid with all the work he was doing.

Takehiko didn't have the luxury of some other members of the family. He didn't see himself as gifted in any field. But he had to guess he fired way more then he should have been able to. Mostly due to using medicine to help him along with the training. Takehiko didn't have the raw amount of spiritual pressure some others did. The training was the only exercise he had access too at the moment. His uncle was too busy to notice him. So it was all he could do to push himself hard forward. Growing as a skilled user in anything would take him time to master. Master seemed so far away just getting experienced in using them seemed best. Takehiko's job here was going to be experienced. To learn to use this kido as though merely extensions of himself. To fire them and use them without delay or holding issues back. Takehiko knew full well that learning spells would be difficult in this regard. If anyone examined those hands they'd realize the training he had done. Slowly replacing the gloves he often wore with a new pair. The shredded and destroyed former pair was slipped into his pocket.

This training had been productive at least he opened a portal to home now. It was time for him to retire from this place. As the door closed he walked through the world slowly. Making his way back towards the location that was most suited to him. His bed had been something on his mind as the number of hours practiced had lost him. How long did it take Kido to wear out your body and exhaust you? That was a question he did not have the answer too at this very moment. Takehiko had even cheated using Stamina pills. To extend the duration of his training further. But one drawback was this immense level of exhaustion that hit him. As he finally made it into his room he fell over. His body hitting the pillow and bed with a resounding thud. Takehiko's eyes closed and his body felt empty all at once. He felt as though he was slipping away from himself. Before long he was gone into a world of dreams. Unable to awaken for a time due to the level of the strain he put himself through.

Strength was obtained over time but hard work would someday pay off. He honestly believed in that truth with every fiber of his being. Stepping and training kido for him was the same thing. He wanted to make his uncle proud and show his relatives he could be useful. That he wasn't a failure who'd done nothing for two hundred years. He wanted so badly to prove to them that he could do something. To make Uncle Byakuya proud was important to him. That was his last living family member, wasn't it? He felt Ruin's embrace grab him allowing an even deeper sleep to take hold. Fingers through his hair caused him to miss his mother. To miss the feeling of that warm embrace that once was. Takehiko was happy above all else when it came to it. Byakuya had given him a home and accepted him, he needed to do something. Anything to make that man proud and make an impact in the Gotei.

If someone like him could be accepted then by any means he would revive what was lost. Healers were in short supply in this world thus far. So his goal to become one of the best was difficult for him. He had to learn everything possible from human medicine to soul society medicine. Takehiko knew when he woke up he'd be using those very same pills. Designed to increase one's stamina for a time similar to an energy drink. But with this crash, he knew it would come sooner or later for him. Takehiko could accept the price he must endure in the end. This wasn't going to be two hundred years of studying. He would do this in a shorter period for his uncle. For the Kuchiki Clan, he would prove himself valuable no matter the cost. Even if it meant relying on sources of information beyond his grasp. His throat ached with dryness and his body with many things. The dream that gripped him was of hope. One where he'd accomplished his goal of making Byakuya proud. It seemed so far away from him. He needed to do this for his uncle and himself.
