Wall wasn't going away.....well, that was fine, Ulv had another trick. The song carried on, purifying the air in the wall to be pure oxygen as the beast up in the sky soared over their heads and made tendrils of water. Hydrokinesis was an interesting power to have, very helpful around the water front. Not so helpful around Ulv.

"I've never been good at cyber security" Ulv commented out of the blue, grinding her foot against the sand rapidly and setting the wind on fire. Instantly, an explosion of heat filled the area, burning the sand to glass where the wall touched, and causing sweltering heat further out. It was a good job everyone here was a powerful spiritual being, or else there would be serious heat stroke going on.

"But is this what you call a Firewall?" Ulv asked, hysterically laughing even as the water tendrils came to wrap her up. Having Mirja's memories, she was well learned with tendrils....

He was thankful the others were present, most of this allowed him to think. What could he accomplish in this instant? Nothing was the word that came to mind. He was strong, enough to stand among these powerful beings. But he could tell a lapse in training had been present. His Zanpakuto had more, so much more to offer. But he focused on Vait so much, heavily relying on Vait. Hopefully, he'd get a chance to fix that later.

Reaching into the depths of his soul, he brought a hand towards his face. Feeling his hand connect with Vaits in a way. The mask was drawn upon his face as he looked through the eyes of the mask. His eyes glowed with a radioactive and yell glimmer. The hourglass shape of it hinting at something broader.

He felt each cell move in elation as the time came to dawn his mask. Yoshitsune was known for skill, he shot into the air. Avoiding the tendrils as he went higher. Going above the clouds as he decided on his action. It was sad, but he'd need to perform Kido in this situation.


"Sprinkled on the bones of the beast! Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle! Hadō 63 RAIKKOHO!" An orb of yellow lightning formed in the palm of his free hand. He was going to fire a Hadō 63 but put something else behind it.

He'd gone in the air above the clouds hoping to strike from above. The avoiding of tendrils was still a problem, but his lightning bolt went downwards with authority. Now came the next part as he looked over the situation. Considering the locations of everyone, he brought his sword up. For defensive purposes unless his speed failed.

He watched to see what happened with his spell, while he was by no means on Momo's level with them. He couldn't get a sense of where this thing was, it was why he'd gone airborne. Sending a spell downwards towards the wave at an angle. Testing to see what was coming, he needed to know where to aim this and his next move. Until that time he would stay on the move, his Hoho skills were lauded as impressive by most.

The heat of Ulv Auber's skill was impressive it was causing the water to evaporate rapidly. He needed to find this thing's body where ever it was, so he began focusing on his eyes. His physical body being covered in Reishi, this was his best chance to find it and attack. They needed a solid strike on this thing, that was what mattered most.

Those three had a defense, so it was his duty to focus on offense. Until he couldn't anymore, so for now he went above the trees and cloud to focus and see what his spell had struck.

Well then, beastie was certainly getting angry at their attempts to cease what it was doing. However, the method it used to cease such attempts caused Ari to frown unpleasantly. Was this weird ass-looking space fish thing trying to mock her? Sure, they were water tendrils; but to send tentacles or tendrils against Ari, that weren't her own, seemed quite the odd insult. Arianda spat aggressively, and in a mere moment tentacles burst forth from Arianda's back; two dozen taking form upon her spine. After they had formed, Arianda's form had shifted; taking on that of how she truly looked as a demon. She cared not, her energy made it obvious what she was. However, if anyone had done their homework, Ulv not included thanks to Mirja's memories, this was what the Archduchess of the second circle of Shadowfall last looked like before she had disappeared. Then again, appearances seemed to mean nothing in this world.

It didn't matter. Arianda simply used her tentacles to counter, crush, or otherwise disperse the water tendrils that aimed to assault her. If a tendril was ensnared, it was severed before any harm could be done to Ari; the demon holding a giant pair of scissors in her left hand as she flew with the double pair of wings that sprouted from the small of her back and between her shoulder blades. However, defense was not the only bit of her issues.

Apparently, aside from Ulv laughing like an absolute maniac on the beach, a certain Shinigami had decided to launch a rather devastating, or so Ari assumed, attack from above the clouds towards ye old beastie. Arianda simply let out a small sigh, darting out of range as much as possible. Arianda looked up, towards the being that was flying high up in the sky. She let out a small sigh, unsure what exactly she could do. However, Arianda positively refused to let anything happen to this city; or the people in it. With a grimace, the demon conjured more spears and threw them at the water some more. However, she decided it was best to leave the water to Ulv, creating a fire tornado, and assault the monster.

In a flurry of wings, Arianda shot upwards towards the monster, doing her best to avoid tendrils of water, or counter them with her own tentacles; meanwhile, she held a spear in her right hand. Once Arianda got close enough, she hurled the energy spear with all her might; intending to nail the being right in the soft spot of its belly. However, depending on how everything went, it was entirely likely her attack wouldn't do a great deal. Even so, Arianda would still resume her efforts to combat this odd creature; to send it back from whence it came. If not that, she would be certain to help her allies, or so she hoped, find a way to subdue or, if it came to it, dispose of the space fish.

The beast who blended with the sky continued flying high overhead, however the waves crashed into the fire wall, vapor appearing in visible droves as the creature seemed rather.. Unbothered by the halt of the waves. The winds all around flowed freely and increasingly more violently due to there being not many points of obstruction at the seafront, worsening due to the disparity of temperatures from the ground and sky. Strangely, the beast didn’t stop it’s waves, rather allowing them to crash and vaporize in droves.

The effect of this wasn’t visible initially, but with the amount of water vapor rising and meeting the already brewing storm.. The clouds gradually became more and more thick and swirling, the darkness of the night increasing ever more. The vapors had only fed the storm, and the storm would march on with it’s creator, heavier, colder rainfall ensuing.

Two beings sought to directly attack the invisible form of the creature, one from up high and the other from below.

The bolt of lightning created by the kido technique would soar down, down, down past the cloud barrier. However, due to the dubiousness of the creature’s location in addition to the user’s vision being further blotted by clouds and the dark of night, the attack.. Did not land.

And instead.. Went further, and further down… Until it struck the beach. Given it was a kido technique cast by a powerful user, the lightning’s strike wasn’t a typical violent strike, and rather would pose an immediate danger of harm to anyone residing on the beach who couldn’t withstand the misfire.

As for the attacker below, her hurled spear unfortunately would miss the being due to it’s movements and difficulty in being perceived by the attacker alone, however a small shimmer of shape could be seen where the energy spear sailed past, appearing to be a slightly moving fin as the creature’s movements were pointed towards Karakura Central.

With the worsening of the storm did the increase in water activity and change occur. The rain, previously coming down hard, not only came down hard, but sharp. The rain had become needle-like, and was now barring down on the physical defenses of any who were unfortunate enough to be caught in such conditions. The water tendrils only grew more violent in movement and formation, seeking to inflict harm by stabbing or constricting their prey. The waters shimmered dully with a blue light, as if there was further supernatural intervention to make things this way than before.

Lightning clapped the sky, at times revealing the being’s shadow as it flew, the clouds swirling and growing angry as the storm seemed to follow the creature further in land. As for any who were in the sky’s grasp, especially the clouds, it was the worst of the water’s wrath. Frigid clouds would seek to wrap around and constrain it’s prey within a labyrinth of a dark, chilled, daggered hell, one’s perception of direction undoubtedly to be confused in such a state.

Amongst these worsening conditions, the creature would release a bellowing roar, however, at the edge it’s attacker’s minds, a word… A word could be vaguely heard amongst the chaos.

Hvit And Ulv | UNION OF THE WOLF

'You are pushing to hard. Ease back a bit, Ulv' Hvit counselled. She was right, Ulv's heart was banging like a drum in her chest and she felt on the verge of a stroke, or a heart attack. Or both. So she dipped her powers a little to reduce strain on her body. Every drop of power used like this was a drop more running through her body, scorching and scalding everything it could touch.

And on the topic of scorching, down from the sky came a high powered kido, exploding on the beach and catching Ulv full in the everything. Normally it'd be barely a thing, but as she was right now, it ripped into her and blasted her off her feet, smashing into the pier, and being easy prey for the tendrils to attack her further. Frenzied, in pain and fury both, Ulv exploded a massive blast of her flame to disintegrate the tendrils that slashed at her. Her Fury stacked higher and higher, making irritations into explosions of intense fury. And getting blasted with friendly fire was a bit more than an irritation.

Her dress burst as she ripped on a Hollow Mask, complete with a pair of brilliant white boots that reached up to her knees, their beauty and pristine look warring harshly with the violent burns and bleeding cuts on Ulv's body. Not caring for the fishes' problems, or hitting Jaeden - he started it, after all - she'd kick a Cero Oscura at the fish's vague location. Her eyes shone deeply and the hollow energy throbbed and roared at the surroundings.

The problem with this approach was, without the precise aerokinesis that kept her wall burning, it hissed and sputtered in the downpour and then went out completely.

The rain which had been harmless enough suddenly became like shards of glass. A thousand steely knives shredded his skin in a moment. Those raindrops had changed, blood poured as his eyes had been struck as well. One lone bolt of lightning and he went down towards the ground. He'd land on the beach smoldering from the hit. His mask off from him taking the damage he did.

His eyes tried to open, the realization came that nothing remained. He could feel, hear and sense things. But his perception was off, noise there was so much of it. He needed to isolate and work through the pain. What kind of Captain went back after being wounded?

He'd not give up, losing his eyes alone and the injuries he'd taken. Feeling the mix of blood and water that dripped down his frame. Creating warmth and cold factor that was strange.


His people were still here, what else could he do in this situation. He'd hurt Ulv, that alone was a problem. He could tell he'd not hit the intended target, the obscured aim was an issue. He laid crumpled on the Beach, slowly raising himself up. Injuries riddled him but if Ulv kept going, no he owed it to her for that mistake.

"Sorry." He'd not make up excuses, he hit her and that was it. He didn't have the energy left to do that. What could he do, his senses were deprived at the moment. His ears picked up the noises more clearly. It was an overload of information.

For now, the best course of action was to stay back and regain composure, he wasn't going to retreat. He needed to evaluate the situation more, consider the changing tides. His actions had hurt Ulv Auber. It was unacceptable, no words were permitted by him. His body ached and hurt from the injuries he'd sustained. Barely missing Ulv's response with that Cero, it was impressive the power she had with it.

But something was, different or off about her? He couldn't put his finger on it, his senses were delirious that had to be it. His Vice-Captain and the others weren't going to be happy about this performance. The Division had their pride, blood dripped from each part of his body.

It looked like someone had hit him with small needles everywhere. It was through his resolve and desire to protect the image of the Gotei that he stood tall. His words inside him cut through the silence.

"Vait, Bakari. Heal my body, we'll hang back until we get a target...I can't do much else, it won't be a great healing. But it will close some of the injuries up." He could sense her smile of satisfaction hearing her name.

He'd need to stay back until the target was clear, he couldn't do what he just did again. Going up wasn't an option, he began focusing his senses. Trying to locate it through this chaos. Reserving his strength from that moment. While maintaining his Shikai wasn't too bad. He wiped away the crimson liquid from his face.

Not that it mattered, since his eyes had been wounded heavily. The burnt flesh couldn't be healed. But some of the needle-like wounds had been thankfully cauterized by it. So while the work was intensive, the two of them had begun work on giving him enough time.

One strike with his Zanpakuto and a Cero was all he could deliver for them. For the pride of his Squad, for the Gotei, for the glory of those who'd fallen and weren't here. He'd remain strong and fight until his body could physically no longer. And even after that he would push himself, find that deep fire.

Seemed like this creature wasn't letting up. Seeing as Ulv was blown away from blast, thankfully she looked back to see her back in the fire. Firing what appeared to be a cero variant of some kind.

The winds became more violently than ever before, even the clouds were getting bigger. Lightning from the other shinigami looked like it worked but evidently not, not only were their tentacles ready to thrash whatever was in their way both spiritual and not but the creature seemed unphased by the firewall produced from earlier.

Momo could hear the creatures screams. WHY?! it said, Momo's mind But what exactly did it meant, is it all just a rouse to distract them all?

"Snap Tobiume!" Momo's shikai would be released after uttering those words, the tentacles were coming at an alarming rate. Considering its made of water, and the heat from her shikai would just increase the clouds. She'd have to find an alternative, she could see another shinigami hurt.

"No no no.
Meanwhile her clone, still alive. Would notice the piercing raindrops, and the people that'd be in the crossfire. She'd
create a barrier for some of the local people to step through, protecting them from the rain.

"Hadō #88 Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō!"
Momo raised her arm forward and outstretched, with palm facing flat toward the target, and fired a gigantic beam of spiritual energy. At the unknown creature, hopefully it would slow it down at least a bit.

This situation had certainly been quite odd. First of all, the rain was quite like blades than water; cutting through her skin whenever it had made contact with her being. She grit her teeth gently, a small bit annoyed by the situation; and by the stupidity of the Shinigami up above. Not only had he torn into the clouds, pulling himself into a literal blender; as long as the bits of blood, clothing, and more she saw flying were any hint. However, the demon turned her attention to the battle again; staying clear of what Ulv was doing. Her previous attack had failed, her spear missing the giant fish-like creature. She was puzzled, frankly speaking, and figured what Ulv was doing, a direct attack of sorts, was probably a better idea. However, she heard something...

In the corner of her mind, in a voice that caused the being known as Amphilogiai to shiver in Ari's mind; despite not having a corporeal form at the moment. The voice, echoed, moaned the word "why" as if it wondered why it was being attacked. Well, the answer was clear to Ari; perhaps not to it. At least, if it was asking why it was being attacked; that was quite simple. It was threatening the lives, the livelihood, of those below them. Arianda frowned at the being, silently contemplating everything. However, she soon started to move once again, attempting to throw spears towards the whale. Basically, she was trying to make it so the whale would be hit by at least one of the spears; in the meantime, Arianda kept her distance and did her best not to be cut to ribbons by the rain.

However, as Arianda watched, she spun the scissors she normally bore with her around her wrist; turning them into a large scythe. The demon held it in her hand calmly; the red and silver scythe reflecting the piercing rain off its blade. It was ominous, in a way, but the demon's blue gaze glared towards the being as her wings would occasionally get pierced. Arianda needed to get closer, either to attack or try and converse with the being. If it could speak... perhaps there was a way to reason with it. However, it was for the best that the beast was taken down before the city was torn to bits. She didn't want that to happen. Japan had become her home, even if she was far away from the mainland in Minatumi. With a burst of speed, she raced towards the creature along the safest path; bearing her scythe just in case she needed to tear the beastie apart.

Pain would shake the earth as a sound similar to the pound of thousands of drums could be heard. The creature was revealed, and with it's reveal did it's injuries become apparent; One of it's hind fins had been completely shot off by Ulv's attack, the limb coming down crashing to the ground. Momo's attack had burned it's left wing, not as much damage compared to Ulv's but it was indeed a substantial addition to slowing the creature down, a few of Ari's spears failing to penetrate the being's defenses, but the final strike piercing into it's underbelly with the combined efforts of it's attackers.

From it's wounds did a viscous purple fluid burst and pour from; It by no means looked like normal bleeding, more like a rotting corpse being jabbed open and it's innards spilling. A horrid smell, only further accentuated by the humidity could be smelled as this nauseating liquid hit the ground. The massive being's flight was halted as it's body would come plummeting to the ground, once colliding did a force not to dissimilar to an earthquake occur due to such a massive, dense being hitting the ground without much resistance.

With the fire wall's collapse, no longer were the clouds fed, whatever water remained gathered being held back merely by Momo's kido, however due to the creature's current state the water did not become active again quite yet.

More and more of this noxious purple fluid would bleed out on the ground. Given it's appearance, unknown properties, and most notably odor, any who possessed any level of sense would know it to be a bad idea to touch it or get too close. The creature would writhe around in pain, however it was more shaking it's head about than agonizing over it's torn limb or burned wing. Lower drums of unrest could be heard as it thrashed it's head against the ground multiple times, it's teeth gritted and mouth contorted in a pained snarl, six eyes squinted tightly shut.

The word could be heard one more, chiming at the edge of those present's thoughts. However, as it was in this state, the purple growths on it's body were notably.. Glowing. Growing in size, inching more and more across the creature's body like a contorted spider's web.

The voice's shaken patterns ceased suddenly as the growths only appeared to get worse by the second, it's feature's slowly relaxing. It's eyes opened once more, a dead look in them as it's wings would twitch to life, with a violent beat did it rise into the air once more, it's body appearing far more limp and hanging than before, sounding a bellowing roar. The clouds parted, only partially, to reveal the moon hanging high above. What would be a sign of light and safety, would quickly turn out to be the warning bells of worse to come.

The gem-like structures on it's body would glow a brilliant, sickly purple, however it's eyes burned with a bright purple hue. All of the waters within the being's grasp would suddenly glow a harsh bright blue, as if the moon's embrace merely acted as a catalyst to empower it's hold. The tendrils attacking those on the ground would become far more active, far more violent and exact in their movements, as well as much harder to dispose of with the light of the moon feeding them.

The being on the other hand, had lost it's focus on the city, and now had it's sights on it's attackers instead. Still spilling the hideous fluid from it's wounds, suddenly a light could be seen forming in it's jaws. Despite it looking all the more closer to a flying corpse than a living, fighting creature, it didn't appear to let up in the slightest, appearing willing to burn itself through to achieve it's goal.

Ulv | THE NEW DRIVE

Fucking...Sorry?! he says. What an ass-backwards, smoothbrained Retard! Gods he pissed Ulv off, but that was mostly the fury stacks. Speaking of, the great ugly thing was coming closer still, releasing it's ugly toxic gunk and deciding that it wasn't going to die after all. So Ulv decided to pump up the volume even further.

Her Zanpaktou worked differently from others. Not a thing she could just use immediately, it had to build up a flow between the two so Ulv didn't break when calling on it's immense power. But now, she was ready enough to release the Ursa Drive. An explosion of fury raged out across the beach as the crimson armour adorned Ulv, eight orbs of light on her arms glistening in the sun, and a heart that raged to see no obstacle, less the one she was to tear down post-haste.

The biggest problem was the beast being in the air. Made it hard to really get at. So Ulv intended to fix that problem, and took off, speed incredibly boosted by her bankai and mini-ress mask together as one. Should she manage to arrive above the creature, she'd burn even more of her resources to send it to the Earth. An explosive focusing of her Touki enhanced Ulv's strength to match the force of will she could project, modifying the flow to enhance her feet instead of her fists, and then she spiraled her body and energy flow with great vigor, lashing into the creature's head with a mighty Heaven And Earth Hwechook. With all this arrayed against the fish, Ulv hoped to drive him to where he could be more easily dealt with.
