Furukawa Asami | Officer of the 5th

The news that he was leaving was a welcome relief to Asami, though she could not outwardly show that in any capacity. She stood herself as he did, though remained closer to the filing cabinet as he moved to leave. There was still her own business to take care of, after all.

"With all due respect, Vice-Captain, I hope that if we meet again it is under more pleasant circumstances."

She smiled curtly, to indicate her respect for Julian and his rank, before giving him a slight bow.

"Perhaps when we are not playing at bureaucrats."

Watching him leave, Asami would return to scouring the files with a renewed vigour. If she was lucky, she could glean something from the scraps he had left unattended and then have the files sent to Julian's office ready for tomorrow morning. There was no need for a note, or anything else pointlessly sentimental, because he would know how it had arrived there.
