Long Time No See [Eri, Shiro]

Being a grunt sucked. You had to do all the chores and that's exactly what Eri was getting by this menial labor. Being a delivery girl sucked, taking messages to and fro for others, wasn't there more fun work that she could be doing as a shinigami? How did this help people that needed it? These people could just go get their own messages or something rather than her needing to gopher it. Grumbling through the whole process until she entered into the seventh division's barracks which were just the weirdest, why were they all these weird tent things anyways?

"Hey, hey you."

She called out without thinking or even considering who it might be or why that white hair looked oddly familiar but in her defence, she was absolutely hammered that time and the whole night was a little groggy.

"Oh, hang on. You look familiar. What's your name again? Oh, and can you deliver this. I was told to take it to the seventh division's barracks but you probably know where it needs to go right?"

Already she was trying to dump her work onto him. How audacious of her really.

Well, ain’t that the shits? Look who it is. Eri, of all people, here at where he works? She even has the gall to not recognize him while asking for him to do something for her. Shiro has half the mind to tell her to go jump off a cliff or something. However, he’s a good Shinigami and refrains from saying anything unsightly, yet.

“I don’t have a name, ma’am, unfortunately.”

Damn. He just told himself to not say anything rude, but here he is, saying something rude. Maybe his snark’ll loosen up some of her tight brain cells. In fact, he’s still a bit peeved she just walked up and told him to stop what he’s doing to do what she wants him to do. Just because he wasn’t doing anything doesn’t mean he has to start doing something for, what’s essentially, a stranger. Though, the thought that Rukia would probably beat his ass did make itself known in his head.

“Can’t believe you, Eri…” He muttered as he rolled his eyes and leaned over a bit to get a better look at whatever’s in her hands. Honestly, he also doesn’t know where this thing’s supposed to go. As much as she has no idea where she is, he also just doesn’t know a lot of things either, like where to take this shit.

"Oh... Well, I guess Shiro sounds good for a nickname because of your white hair. I'm Eri."

Going through an earnest introduction, one would struggle to tell if she had genuinely forgotten his name or if she was just pulling his leg given the accuracy of her guess to what it would be. As for which one was true it was pure speculation since she looked confused when he seemed upset. What did she do? She didn't like getting on people's bad sides or annoying them. Whatever could she have done to earn this irritate attitude towards her? Nothing deserving of it, surely?

Eri didn't like to think of herself as tone-deaf, hypocritical as it was for her to accept this delusion and insist otherwise.

"It's a letter for the captain, chop chop and don't be late. The reputation of the shinigami are staked on it."

She gave a supportive thumbs up and charismatic wink that could surely wrap any guy around her finger to find the motivation to reach for the top! At least, this guy should absolutely fall for it, right?
