Mixing Colors (Elyss/Hime)

Predator and Prey. Cat and Mouse. Words layered within mystery, subtle actions executed with such poise that, for all the composure the graceful woman prided herself on, she currently felt like a fish on dry land, struggling to flop back to their watery reprieve. Past interactions had always given the woman a sense of prideful glee, admittedly. Elyss felt predictable, felt as if she possessed a nature Hime could always tease in a moment of weakness. There was no such weakness here. The graceful woman felt as if she was dancing to the beat of her crimson-haired companion's rhythm.

As she said, she could spin her words any way she desired but her mercurial nature was damnably formidable. The soft kiss against her hand hadn't exactly alleviated Hime's state of mind, either. She wasn't exactly against her suggestion, to be certain, but whether the suggestion was smoke and mirrors was always a legitimate thought with Elyss and perhaps she knew that. A faint shade of red colored the graceful woman's face as she pondered on her next words.

Heh... she had certainly changed in more ways than one. How would the graceful Shinigami match her pace now? Play along? Perhaps... Pulling Elyss hand towards her lips, Hime would softly kiss her knuckles in return, returning a similar act of affection. How far would she take this, she wondered? For it to be a few days spent spending time with her significant other, she hadn't expected her to seize the momentum so early. What is she truly aiming at?

"Mm, knowing you, I truly have no idea what it is, Ely. Of course, do know there is no need to hold back at my expense. That said, is that truly the aim for our first day together on earth?" Hime posed the question with a curious smile. How would she answer, she wondered? Spell it out? Or continue to operate with the poise of an assassin?

"Noted," Hime answered with quiet acceptance. There was no true way to gauge Elyss. Every action seemed as if it was layered within a cloud of mystery. Hime may have dared to explore where their relationship may go but perhaps someone else was controlling the steering wheel, perhaps... Neither here nor there, the graceful woman leaned into her seat, their fingers conjoined with no intent on Hime's part to loosen her grip. Elyss could certainly pull away if she so desired, of course. A soft sigh escaped her lips, a nod of agreement followed. As patient as she was, there was only so much entertainment that could be had sitting in a bus. Public displays of affection did not seem to be one of them, she presumed.

"In this, I agree. There is little fun to be had in a public bus where wandering eyes are ever-present. Patience is a virtue. Yet I would be remiss to say there isn't a hint of excitement flowing through my spirits. I can't recall a time I ever had a date in the realm of the living." Indeed, a past of bloodshed and fighting under the wrong team would probably do that to a woman. She had only now truly embraced walking among humans in the realm of the living without fearing the idea someone who recognized her past exploits would hunt her down out of revenge.

Elyss dozing off hadn't surprised the graceful woman sitting beside her in the slightest. She expected it almost. Certainly, this was the type of environment where one could quickly grow bored and find themselves lulled off into a slumber. Hime had contemplated joining her but her excitement kept her upright. Besides, it was somewhat adorable to see her companion like this. There listless ride would finally conclude as soon as Elyss woke back up, gazing at her through lazy eyelids. Hime couldn't resist the urge to make a lighthearted comment at her expense.

"Welcome back, sleeping beauty. We're finally here."

Hime patted her head softly before gazing out through the window, curious to see the place Elyss had chosen to go. For them to have taken the transportation route rather than a senkaimon, she wondered about what Elyss had in store. Childlike curiosity seemed to beam in her expression a bit. The sooner they could start the day, the better.

Pulled along by her crimson-haired companion, Hime curiously let her gaze travel, alternating between the spirited civilians and the scenery around them. The journey was shirt lived, though, so there was hardly much of anything to be seen. They now stood in a high-quality hotel. Elyss pointed towards the lounge, directing her to wait over in the area as she checked them in.

Following her direction, a soft nod would be given as she walked over, allowing her eyes to wander again. The decorum was certainly nice. If she held any rebellion in her heart, perhaps she would've decided to wander off, like a sly child disobeying an order. Such was not the case, and she bid her time sitting down until her companion returned.

Directing her gaze towards Elyss, Hime nodded assent as she rose from her seat, following Elyss into the elevator. The process went by rather quickly - far quicker than she expected - but that suited the graceful woman just fine. When they settled in, they could finally enjoy their day. Hime was still ever curious to see what Elyss had in mind - if she had anything in mind at all, really.

The woman was unpredictable enough to simply enter the room, land on the bed, and fall asleep or chose to do something else according to her whim. The room was certainly nice enough to rest in, if the opportunity presented itself, of course. Even so, her intent was focused solely on enjoying the day and the events that may unfold therein.

"Worry not, Ely. I don't intend to stay here any longer than you desire. Or perhaps, It would be better to say that I'm excited to see where this day will take us, what you have in mind, and the memories that may be created. Perhaps, I'm not as patient as I think I am when I'm excited, hm?" She mused, a soft chuckle escaping her lips.
