Crikey! [Open]

It seemed as if this Hollow was made of something tougher than most of the rest of it's kind, something that allowed it to fight through pain and unequal odds. Still, it's just a Hollow, Mizu thought to herself. And it was her duty to see it be defeated and purified no matter the cost. With a grunt and gritted teeth Mizu held the whirlwind her spell had created and glared at the seemingly-mindless beast trapped within it. Something had to give, and Mizu had a plan to force the issue.

Mizu suddenly stabbed her Zanpakuto into the ground beside her and placed the hand that had held it next to her other one which held the Tenran spell. Though she felt the creeping exhaustion from both casting many spells and dealing with the elevated heat, she spoke words she hoped with sound the Hollow's defeat with them "Hadō #63: Raikōhō!" In her right hand gathered a mass of Reishi which was quickly expelled in the form of a lightning bolt of energy that enveloped the wind funnel and, if all goes right, would electrocute Canguro from all sides, dealing considerable damage to it's whole body in the process.

This is it...just need to land one final blow!! After the beating it had taken, and especially after being struck directly by a Raikōhō, Mizu was certain this monster was on its last legs. She wasn't sure how a Hollow of its level could still be standing at this point, but it had shown incredible tenacity and endurance to survive so many spells in succession like this. As the beast rushed her once again Mizu made a vow to never underestimate a Hollow after seeing Canguro's capabilities.

With determined patience Mizu waited for her foe to close in, her golden eyes tracking the Hollow's movements with precision. Like the rest of the spells she had cast, Mizu knew to time this one carefully as well. She could not allow an opportunity for the beast to dodge or escape. "Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws." Then, with just a short distance left between the two, Mizu raised her hands and finalized her spell with a roar "Hadō #33: Sōkatsui!" All at once a blast of azure flame-like energy burst forth from her palms and quickly expanded outward like a cannon, enveloping the space in front of her until violently reaching Canguro's body where it could cause severe harm to the Hollow and its surroundings.

As quickly as she had said her Shikai release command phrase, her Zanpakuto exploded into hundreds of tiny crystalline shards. Then, in the same instant, they pulled together and fused into a two foot-thick wall of violet crystal. Mizu had been reluctant to use her final ace in the hole against a simple Hollow, but this Canguro was proving a far fiercer foe than she could have possibly predicted.

She understood well any sort of false pride could get her killed, and so with all the power her body could muster Mizu shoved the wall of crystal forward and slammed it into the Hollow to prevent it from crashing into her. At the same time the remaining shards scattered about the ground around her levitated before being sent forward in a cyclone of razor sharp crystal fragments.

Though Mizu could feel cracks begin to form on the surface of the wall, she knew she had to defeat this beast here. Besides its monstrous tenacity, which alone makes it a threat, its intelligence also seemed to improve as they fought and as its rage grew. Allowed to roam freely, this Hollow could some day become an even more serious danger not just to the living world, but to Shinigami as well. Soul King forbid it become an Arrancar! thought Mizu of her opponent as she continued trying to tear it apart with a whirlwind of crystal shards.

Mizu could barely think as the dizzying heat befuddled her mind. Her skin felt on fire, and even her Shihakushō was being singed all across its edges. One thing she did know was she needed to end things, and fast. Canguro's rampage needed to be stopped here and now. One...last....attack! she yelled in her mind, her teeth too busy gritted and shut tightly to say it aloud.

As Canguro slammed its head through her crystal wall, Mizu saw an opening to take the monster down once and for all. With her left hand she formed an arrow head-shaped Kidō barrier in front of her to divert the wind and fire away from her, and with her right she swung her blade-less Zanpakuto with a flourish which instantly shattered the remaining wall Canguro had lodged its head in. Immediately after, Mizu swung her Zanpakuto again, this time causing all those scattering crystal shards to freeze and then rapidly converge upon Canguro, seeking to eviscerate every inch of the Hollow's body all at once.

Even with all the damage her individual shards could do, Mizu wasn't sure they would be enough to kill a monster of pure rage like this Canguro. When in doubt, she thought, go for a killing strike!. With that in mind, Mizu reformed many of the remaining shards into a single, simple spear of crystal directly above Canguro's body. Then, with a final flourish, she commanded it pierce through the beast's skull and mask to finally put it out of its misery.
