And He Started Kung-Fu Fighting (Monique/Kenichi)

Word travels fast within the age since pass of the withered town of Karakura, despite it being a shadow of its former self there was life that had always find its way to persevere despite all else. Unfortunately majority of those who traverse the town are more than likely felons of various degrees, Monique was no better even though she was far less of a public menace than what could be found in town. However this time she found herself having the urge to make her way within the inside of main Karakura, overhearing, and soon enough witnessing the aftermath of a single man taking on far more than a dozen of cutthroats while making his way into the advanced city, and from Monique could see, the sight left her shook with excitement. Majority of the gangbangers were worse for ware, no deaths, some were unconscious while others face were so swollen that their eyes were shut. A site she wasn't very surprised to see, if anything there were far worse scenarios witnessed inside of where she worked, yet the sheer number in broad daylight itself left her in awe, and all the more curious. The least injured man of the battered clique gave his description, short brown hair and a punchable face, sounds about right.

And so, the hunt was one. As Monique entered passed the barriers it was as clear night and day contrast compared to the barren town of Karakura, to the city; from the bustling busy bodies stepping to and fro within the city, to the quiet streets the old town possessed, from kids being able to play safely outside, to nature soon enough claiming the playsets and enclosing it within its vegetation. The differences was simply overwhelming to those who were new, and Monique personally never liked coming to the city, but she has bigger things to worry about than her comfort, as she hunted for this brown haired assailant, in search of a good fight to get her blood boiling.

Of course, one of his few visits to Karakura Town would end in pointless violence. Did he intend to hurt them? Not entirely so. Did they give him any choice? No. None whatsoever. Left with no other option but to retaliate, he simply went about his way, wiping away the small string of blood at his lip. Normally, he would have resolved to settle matters politely, but his mood dictated otherwise.

Whatever. It was over with now. Ruffling his hair, he kicked over the nearest trash can in his vicinity. He could choose to procure a meal, fill his belly with the intent of uplifting his own mood. There was a nearby concession stand selling Yakitori, Dango, and an assortment of other delectable appetizers. Grinning from ear to ear, he slowly made his way over, unmindful of the woman who might have been tailing him from behind.

"Ay!"

A voice rang out not too far away from Kenichi as he was on the cusp of enjoying his meal, not very far away from the man as she stood with both hands in her pockets as she peered at the other with a confident smile over her lips.

"Been lookin' everywhere for someone that looks just like you all day, you're harder to find than I thought."

In truth, she was just bad at navigating through this place. It was her third time ever coming within the city.

A loud voice temporarily drew his head away from the concession stand. Turning his head in its direction, Kenichi blinked softly. It was a small woman, likely of afro-Brazilian descent, flashing a confident smile with her hands in her pocket. On one hand, she didn't appear as if she was looking for trouble, but he maintained a curious gaze nevertheless, voraciously biting into a meat-filled bun.

"Me? What for?"

With a better glance upon the man, Monique gave him a glance over up and down, everything seemed to check out: He did have brown hair, it was short...and he did look punchable.

"Couple of stooges told me you kicked their ass comin' through the shitty side, gotta say it piqued my interest, so I came all this way to see if it was true."

"Issh thatsh sho?"

Voicing his curiosity through a mouthful of food, Kenichi tilted his head with a mild degree of interest. Those who approached him with the desire to fight(honorably) was nothing short of exhilirating. Everything about her posture spoke of the confidence he typically enjoyed in a warrior, especially a woman at that. Swallowing the remnants of his food, he set his basket of assorted meat buns down. Turning to face the woman, he settled into an offensive stance, boldly beckoning her forward with a turn of the palm.

"Let's do it. I'm always ready for a fight!"

Monique was taken aback from the sudden call to battle, in broad daylight to say the least, but who is she to deny a call to action like that?

She blinked for a second, in a fit of awe before smirk flashed a full on grin revealing her pearly whites at that. "That fast huh? Fine by me!" She yelled, yanking her hands from her pockets as she broke into a full on sprint towards the man as he readied himself. The civilians who were nearby gasping and yelping as the smaller woman rushed passed them, ready and willing to pull the first strike, launching herself about a couple of feet into the air, hurling herself towards the other as she cocked back a wide sweeping kick aimed straight to his face.

There was an impressive mobility to her nimble frame, opening their salvo with a kick. Of course, surrendering one's entire momentum to one strike was a double-edged sword, one the vigorous martial artist wasted no time exploiting as he effortlessly avoided the kick by performing a backward somersault.

His acrobatic feat carried him to the nearest chair as he landed against it. Crossing his legs, he beckoned for her to attack him again, as though challenging her to show him something more. To pour salt into the proverbial wound, he pulled a meatbun from his basket and resumed his meal.

"Improshive. Toosh mush bodysh thoughshhh..."

Monique came landing to a single with a skidding halt, scoffing as she watched the man casually evade her strike, even to go far to show her agitation showing clear as day as her face creased and she clenched a fist from the goading he made with a full mouth no less.

"Since you wanna gimme a lecture, lemme help you shove that shit 10 inches down your throat!"

She broke into another sprint to chase down the nimble man, though strangely enough she was able to understand what the other had spoken even with a stuffed mouth Monique followed the suggestion best she could, best being quite loose as this time instead of taking to the air Monique stayed on foot as she comes in for a heavy swing from her left arm, more than likely breaking a the chair on impact if the attack was evaded.

The moment she roared in with a haymaker, Kenichi elusively shifted his body downward, gripping onto her arm to with his fist to swing her body through the air as she followed through with her movement. There was an admirable edge to her ferocity, but he wouldn't allow her to hit him so easily. Not when her reactions were so entertaining. If his grip landed properly, he would turn around in his chair, finishing the rest of his meat buns as he licked his fingers.

"Impressive form. Don't let that anger dominate too much of your movements, though!"

And so it was, he beckoned her a third time, far too entertained by her frustration.
