Though Five years old in brain, they were smart enough to capitalize on an opening when one showed itself so bravely before them, they brought their hand back and shot out what look similar to a hand, landing it at the back of her throat. This would cause damage to a couple things, mainly Kami's control over one of her powers. Kaede was wincing as she grabbed his shirt, he had to stop her now for this was a bit to painful. He couldn't protect her from that back attack, his eyes narrowed. They didn't have time for this and Kami was hurt maybe. They needed to retreat, Kaede had a few tricks left in his arsenal.

"Flashbang Hikariagi!" He said a bright light, one anyone dumb enough to look at would find their senses messed up, he grabbed hold of Kaminari's waist feeling broken ribs in pain as he got ready to move her. The bright light had blinded the 8 now, if she had anything she wanted to do before Kaede moved her now was her chance.

"There is no point in having power..."

Kaminari was taken completely off guard by the sudden jolt of pain and energy that she felt shooting from the back of her neck and into her throat. Immediately she was able to tell that something was altered. She knew exactly what that was as well. A horror filled look came to her face as she froze, looking straight up to Kaede with dilated pupils. "What did I just do?" Kaminari thought to herself. She felt foolish. She should not ever have left her guard down in such a manner. She had practically allowed this to happen to her. She didn't even chance it. She closed her mouth and refused to speak... just like before. She heard the words 'flash bang' and immediately closed her eyes, feeling his arm come around her waist. "No." she thought to herself. He was the one that was hurt. She was not going to allow her panic to cause any more damage to him, this mission, or to herself. Without another word, Kaminari wrapped an arm around him, knowing it would probably hurt him because of his injuries, but she had to. With that, she began running him out of there as fast as possible, keeping her left hand free for just in case reasons. "I can't believe... that just happened..." she thought to herself, continuing on her way until she got the both of them back to the Seireitei.

"...if you have nothing to protect."
