[Spirit Class 2 | Hazard A] Hannah Chiza

THE SHINIGAMI APPLICATION

I. Basic Information

» Name: Hannah Chiza
» Alias: Grand Witch, Glimmer Ginger (Or Asafoetida, depending on who you ask)
» Age: 227
» Gender: Female

» Association: Lux Orior [loosely, they are downsizing, after all]. Urahara's Shop.

» Appearance Written: Hannah is a girl that stands out in a crowd, regardless of wither she wants to or not. She had short cut hair, of a dark blonde, and auburn eyes that seem to shine with intensity when seen in low-light (This is not a trick of the light, they do literally shine). Her face looks to have a hard beauty to it at first glance, but stare longer and the soft features come into play. The smoothness of her skin, and the curves of her head, accent it into something that can entice with a look.

Zooming one's eyes out - yes, it's a thing, shut up - they could come to see the true scope of Hannah's appearance. Tall, and in that height, making herself look slender rather than skinny, she immediately attracts people with her body, and her breasts are just perfectly sized for her height and weight, making her entire body look as if if was sculpted by a master artisan rather than something that was born. More overt looking would allow the person to see past the illusion of slenderness and see the lack of muscle in key areas, as well as how her eyes seem glazed and don’t focus on anything, either sitting in her head far too still, or wandering about erratically. So Hannah endeavours to avoid people staring too long.

I. Personality

» Personality: Deviating so dramatically from how she looks that it earned her a moniker to that effect, Hannah is, at her core, a quiet girl by nature. She can deal with people well enough when she needs to, polite, soft of tone and nice to talk to. She can hold her temper well, and does not resort to insulting the other party in practically any situation, feeling that if she made it heated, she would have a big problem returning to the background when she was done. When it is required of her, such as in her shop or local providers - the butchers, and bakers and fishermen - then she is a girl who has a considerable social acumen but generally prefers to be away from the action when she doesn't have to be up front. If there is any way she can let another person be in the spotlight, then she will let them, and potter around in the background. It isn't an introverted nature, or any sociological problems, she just prefers the quiet. Possibly because of this, Hannah has trouble disliking a person or group simply because she is told they are the enemies. Anyone who attacks her will be dealt with as any enemy is, but she cannot hate people on the first meeting simply because she was told to.

However, a new addition to her mentality, is something that she is still trying to get to grips with, something that flies in the face of her pragmatic sensibilities. Soul Reapers, her own people, light such a fire of rage in her heart, she can't restrain her actions. Her hands shake and her visions blur, she is assailed by the memories of that day and she either flees the scene, or lashes out violently, in a drive to cripple them in mind and in body. Her desire to be quiet is strong enough to war with this, on a certain level. Depending on the personality of the Shinigami, she can suppress her feelings into cold civility, but even the nicest would see be able to see that Hannah has no love for them or their people. This prejudice, this hatred that burned towards Shinigami and what they had done to her, would be very difficult to remove, but with enough persistence, a singular person may be able to break through. But then it would be that one person, not the whole group itself.

Her mind wars against itself in this situation if she meets a Shinigami who is cripplingly injured. She feels the need to help them, while also hating everything that they are and stand for. In this situation, numerous factors play in, such as if she knows the person, the immediate surroundings, and if she has left the kettle on back at home. She can leave a Shinigami to bleed out and die if she sufficiently hates them specifically, but this would be a rare situation.

Eventually, Hannah's own personality asserted itself. She still hated the Shinigami for what they did to her, but it wass a chill kind of hatred she had no drive to act upon. The hottest flame only burn so long before snuffing themselves out, after all, and Hannah could scarcely maintain hate and anger in her heart. it was just not her nature. Shinigami were still a traumatic thing for her, but not so much as they used to be.

And then, to culimate this development, Hannah finally got to meet up with Captain-Commander Abalia Kyoraku-Hayden, who's soft and gentle tones, and Peerless Mum powers blew away the last remaining pain and anguish of that moment. Showing her that Shinigami truly were diverse and worthwhile to spend one's time on.

I. History

» History: Born in the Soul Society, Hannah grew up with her family in a nice little shop, in the fourth district of Rukongai. Even when she was a young child, she would melt the hearts on onlookers with her smile. She was put up on the shop floor as soon as she could talk, as such a blend of cuteness and childish beauty made for great sales tactics. However, despite growing up in the retail business, she became a girl that didn't actively seek out friends, didn't spend her free time out playing with the children, but rather reading books, drawing pictures, and other activities that she was happy to pursuit on her own.

Life, was good, but unfortunately, life never stays good. Hannah was, unbeknownst to everyone, born with an incredibly powerful soul, able to produce a stunning level of Reiatsu for a girl who had never so much as seen a Shinigami. This power, was liable to cause great problems for her parents, there were scattered tales of the now-great Shinigami having nearly - or even outright - crippled their family due to the rampant, uncontrolled power. And so without her knowledge, she instinctively suppressed it, keeping it within her so she would not hurt anyone. But she did, she hurt herself. Unable to deal with the strain of such power being kept inwards, constantly bouncing around and reflecting off her unprepared body with only a small amount of it being released to avoid total combustion, her body grew up sickly, and weak.

Her outer beauty was not affected, and in fact flourished as she grew up. Growing more and more beautiful, breaking hearts with the way in which she stayed indoors and never engaged people beyond the casual hello. She caught all manner of illnesses easily, and her strength never developed well under the strain of her ever-growing Reiatsu being suppressed. One day, it all came to a head, when she got news that her parents had been killed in an accident. There was controversy surrounding the accident, some people thought it was revenge. The man who had tried to court her was well known for his violent tendencies and his rash actions when someone appeared to try get in his way, or block him from what he wanted. Hannah's father had tried to keep such a man away from his daughter, fearing that with her weak constitution, she would not survive the first time this man grew angry with her. And as all fathers, his worry drove him to protect his daughter at all costs, and it would appear that the cost of protection had finally become the Ultimate Cost, higher than anyone could manage to pay. Brought to the scene on her own vehement assistance, she stood and looked at the body of her parents. Her first brush with death, as such a young age. From there, she was sure it was no accident. They had said the horse of their carriage had been spooked and flipped the cart which landed on top of them and crushed them to death, but that just seemed far to convenient.

Whether it was knowledge built up over a life time of book reading, or just some instinctual whispering in her mind that she could not doubt, there was nothing she could do against the knowledge that someone had killed her father for his interference, and her mother for spite. And so with a gut-wrenching keen of despair, the Reiatsu so long kept inside her, exploded outwards into the surrounding area, leaving everyone intimately aware that this woman was not something to insult, or upset. Her power, when related to other citizens of Rukongai, was immeasurable. Tears drenched her face, and her mind was filled with a dark cloud of red smoke. There was a voice, soft and on the edge of hearing, that tried to be soothing, but Hannah was too far gone, and the voice to quiet, to make any sort of difference. By chance, or design from some higher power, she happened to glance her stalker in the crowd, smiling to himself. Despite her father’s best attempts, she had met him on a few occasions, but turned him down because she didn’t like him in the slightest. So she knew, on sight, that it was him who had caused her parents to die. With shriek to the heavens, she spawned a large ball of spiritual energy and threw it at him. The crowd quickly scattered and the unstable ball exploded in a wave of kinetic force that knocked everyone on their respective asses. As she was charging a second, a strong voice ripped through the screaming and the panic of the crowd.

“Bakudo 61: Rikujokoro!”

Suddenly, Hannah was frozen. Her ball fading away into nothing and a man appearing in front of her. He looked over the situation and then just picked Hannah up and took her away, leaving people to brush themselves off, and those assigned to oversee the Rukongai to do their job. Without much ability to resist, Hannah was brought to a strange sort of room-cell. It wasn't exactly prison, she had a lot of amenities and it was much nicer than she would have thought a cell would be, but she also wasn't allowed to leave, and there were guards at the door. Investigations lasted a whole week, but eventually it was ruled that Hannah had not broken any laws that would require her to go to prison, and after the truth of her parents murder – it was found out by people who were actual investigators that it was indeed murder –she was allowed out of the cell, But had to have a guard with her at all times, because that was the tradeoff. She was also forced to go see a man specialised in after-trauma care, to avoid her repeating the same actions. It was better than getting locked up for nearly killing someone and hurting a dozen others, so she agreed to the term.

Hannah was quickly brought to Shin'o Academy, where her guard followed, but did not interfere. It was decreed that with such potent pressure from a girl with no control over it, she would need some control over it if she was going to continue. Either that or they could work towards burning it off so she wasn’t a problem. Despite the trouble it had caused, she wanted to keep it, so she went to school. And then life began. She was thrown into lesson after lesson, and the time with her post-trauma man, and between her constant illnesses that persisted after she had managed to grasp her Reiatsu and use it properly - it was thought that her latent abilities had come to the fore-front by way of grief, rather than her repressing them for years, because by rights she should not be able to do that so early - and learning so much, her head was crammed full of junk, it was hard to get a moment to just feel anything other than being overwhelmed.
Zanjutsu was interesting, however her weak body could not allow her to do it for very long before starting to ache and cramp, which was annoying because she had a great deal of energy to burn, just no strength to burn it with. It was a horrible feeling to gasp from breathlessness while still feeling a drive to act, a push to do! Hakuda went the same way, and while she wasn't terrible at Hoho, she truly shined in Kido. Here she picked up Hadō and Bakudo like it was a matter of course, as if she already knew what she was doing, and just going through the numbers. She excelled to a magnificent degree, and for that she was happy. With extensive Kido training she could actually get this eternally burning energy to a more manageable level without her body feeling like it was going to just fall apart. It recovered, and eventually Hannah had the specifics of it down, doing intense practice when it flared, and then letting it recover when it dimmed. With her Kido, she amazed teachers and inspired jealousy in class mates. Of course, she was jealous of how everyone could do Zanjutsu and Hakuda with such ease, so that was the circle they worked with. She was great with Kido and got fans because she was good at that, and she had people that she was fans of. Even one girl she felt something for that made her heart go doky-doky. She wasn’t sure what to do with it, it was new and scary and quite frightening that she would actually want to come out of the shadows and intereact with someone. That was foolish and stupid and stupid and foolish, so she put it out of her mind along with anything that might be related to the idea of love. Who needed love when you have Kido?

Despite her rigorous workout, every time it recovered, it came back a little stronger, and her training got a little longer to compensate. The guard that followed her around, and got her many strange stares from many students – competing almost with the pink haired, silver eyed girl who had no output at all in the Reiryoku area – became increasingly bored at her standing in the yard for hours shooting off Kido and eventually that drove the realization that she was not going to be able to handle it just from what she learned from the Academy. So, when she graduated, she looked to the Squads. Either the Fourth Squad, or the Kido Corps, she couldn’t really decide. Both would teach her higher level spiritual arts that she needed, but which one would be the best in the long run? However, after she thought back on that one Hakuda lesson where the pink-haired girl killed a man with a single punch, she decided on Fourth. If someone there had medical training, maybe he would not have died.

It was here, in the halls of the Fourth Squad, that she thought she was able to shine, and studied Kaido for a few weeks before coming out to the Squad and showing her ability. Such a solid, instinctive understanding of the usage of Kaido, along with a solid Reiatsu and beautiful frame, led Hannah to climb the ranks quickly, becoming a 3rd seat in less than a year. Suddenly she was inundated with people wanting her to teach them, people wanting to explain the concepts of so many advanced Kido and Kaido, and people who looked up to her like the same way most people who pursuited Kido looked up to the masterful Savant, Kisuke Urahara. They thought that they could get in good with her now, and in a hundred years when she was a peerless Captain, they would be her friends and she would use her position to their benefit. Some people honestly just wanted her smarts, or beauty, or company, but there were those, like there always is, that wanted to use her for what they thought they might be able to get out of it in the long run. It was this that pushed her out of her shell. Not exactly something she wanted to do, but something that turned out to be a thing she was going to do because she couldn’t disappoint this many people. That was social suicide.

Her instincts allowed her to progress further, conceptualizing a new manner of healing Kido - called Genkido - that focused on speed of healing and range, since usual healing Kido was not something that could be done on the battlefield. It was Hannah's goal however, to create Kaido that could be used by the stronger Kido casters to help without being in contact for several minutes. It wouldn't be something anyone could use, as it burned through her Reiryoku stores pretty quickly – although, she did start with one that was equal in power to a #50 Kido, which could be the reason why she felt the burn – but it would be something for the medics and the kido practitioners of a higher level. Through experimenting, she learned a few other tricks not at all related to making a person feel better. The manifestation and creation of certain phenomena using her Reiatsu. She thought this must be how Kido was first made, with one person that had the feel for it teaching others. One person that just knew what they were doing, and then showed that to others once they got it down into a form that could be explained.

In between this, she was focused on her Zanpaktou, setting aside days dedicated to nothing but her Division duties, and Jizen, hoping to get through to her blade and put a face and name to a companion that had been close to her heart, even without knowing it. It was interesting, to actually want to get to know someone, to go out of her way to try and interact with them, even though it was something she had never done before in her life. But she liked it, it was a good feeling. If she got good success with this, she would even push to maybe make a few friends among the Shinigami. Maybe, that was still a long way off, and she was still a little wary of her inability to do something like that. Even though she had made good progress with her post-trauma man, to the point where he allowed her to go about without a guard, she was still nervous, still worried that she would relapse, and with the power she had now, there wouldn’t be minor injuries. A little worried of herself, she just kept reserved as she usually did and focused on her Jizen. Maybe the spirit could help her.

Some days, it was hard to get out of bed. These days when her illness rode her hard and she spent the first hour using herself as a guinea pig for her new healing Kido to try and get herself into some manner activity that could face the day. On rare occasion, she was overwhelmed with despair, and her own uselessness. But, she chased that away with thoughts of Captain Ukitake. He was incredibly ill, such was common knowledge all across the Seireitei. And yet, he was a Captain. He had managed to take his body of cardboard and drag it to a place of great renown and respect. She wanted to do some Kaido on him, but never managed to muster up the courage to ask, and if Captain Unohana couldn’t do anything for him, then what was she going to be able to do?

While she was not forthcoming with her experiments - she still didn't do social well, but for an entirely different reason these days - people still knew she was up to something. And unfortunately for her, they did not like it. She had come, like a storm and taken over the division, raising so high so fast. If she was allowed to carry on, she would become even higher, to the Vice Captain seat, or even Captaincy if she was not stopped. They could not allow a young child who could hardly get out of bed in the morning without a wheezing cough or bunged up nose become a leader of their division. Unfortunately, the Machination were interrupted when the world imploded and suddenly there were Hollows out the Wazoo. Soul Reapers were deployed en masse and Hannah was sent on many patrols, her mastery of mid-level Kido and potent Reiryoku reserves was something that could not be left in the infirmary, despite the need for it as wounded Shinigami were coming in by the truckload. War, was good for development, however, and Hannah’s Genkido advanced in leaps and bounds, even developing a unique trick that felt weird to do, but it was invaluable on the battlefield where a chant would leave you open far too long. By the time the war was winding to a close, fifty years and several billion dead humans later, she had grown considerably with her Zanpaktou – who was called Peach, such a lovely name, and such a lovely Inner World as well, there was plenty of peace to be found there on the very rare occasion that she had a free moment - and had finished half a dozen of her Genkido. Her reputation became one of considerable greatness after a well-timed Gold Dragon Roar – the most powerful of her Genkido to date – was released and saved the lives of her entire team with its overwhelming recovery powers. As much animosity as her frail body and lack of physical fighting ability garnered her, her life-saving Kaido and her devastating Hadō brought favor and respect for her abilities. Maybe this having a friend thing wouldn’t be so bad.

Then came the Demonic Incursion. The defining moment for many Shinigami, the largest single conflict they had ever faced, and the most terrifying in losses. Hannah’s absence was marked by those who knew her as she had not managed to arrive, being bound to her bed by a decidedly crippling bout of her illness that she could not overcome, or subdue. She could feel the destruction that was happening outside, could hear the screams and the death, but could only lay on the floor – having fallen out of bed and not possessing the strength to get back up - in so much pain she couldn’t even scream. It was then that it occurred to her that this sickness was born from her Reiryoku’s malalignment, and as her Reiryoku got stronger, so too would the illness it caused. Why this had never occurred to her before, she didn’t know. But now it had, she could think of ways to fix it. It was just her luck, however, that she would be crippled today, of all days. The day when the presence of a powerful healer and Kido-slinger would be felt most keenly. Hannah’s sharp senses could make out many sources of power, all raging with unrestrained might. And she could help them, could have helped them, if she was able to do anything other than writhe in silent agony. After an eternity, she managed to get up off the floor. Drenched in sweat, hair an atrocious mess, and gasping deeply, she exited her home to help with the healing of those who had been hurt in the incursion. Her body was stiff and so she moved slowly, she had bitten her tongue in the thrashing, and she stunk of sweat and blood. But in the chaos that was, nobody seemed to notice, and so she just carried on, business as usual.

Her absence, had been noted and those who had irritation over her weakness grew bold in their hatred. They took her to the Living World, claiming that a detachment of Shinigami had been there fighting their own fight while this incursion happened, and she was a girl that was strong enough to deliver aid to them without need of help herself, while the rest of the fourth could deal with the people here. Taking this as the fact that her lack of presence hadn’t been noticed in the chaos and the confusion. So she accepted their offer and left to go help the Shinigami stranded and in need of aid. But, to her dismay, there were no wounded in this patrol, just a group of vindictive bastards. A gathering of people, from those who hated her rise, to those who hated how she flaunted her beauty and ignored them, did not give them the attention they were entitled from a beautiful girl. And so they were in on the plan to remove her. Confident in their numbers, they revealed their plans to kill her, and a few of the others had plans to do something else as she died. It was there that she lost it, the several-hundred year old incident where she attacked her parent’s killer was repeated with the magnitude cranked up a hundred times. Exploding into action as a fully chanted Kido was cast within seconds, catching them off guard and blowing a good chunk of them away before they could react. Victory was in her grasp from her mastery of Kido and her High-Speed Incantation granting her an edge over them. However, there was nothing sweet about this. She felt a new emotion bubbling up beneath her. And it was, hate. hatehatehatehatehatehatehatehate!

She couldn't contain it, couldn't control it, and couldn’t even direct it. Hannah was at the mercy of this thing, and it took control of her for its own sinister purposes. All the emotions that had been building up over years, exploded outwards. Her vision blurred and her mind went blank, she couldn't even think to use her Kido properly, instead falling back on her more instinctive magic. She caught one of the assailants off guard and hit him with a power she had been working on in the war but never perfected. Halharl Infigar, a combination of her Reiryoku exerting heat and wind, sending a blast of air that scorched the skin from his bones, and left a charred husk. The rage and the hatred and the fire in her soul that just kept burning hotter and hotter made her push herself well beyond her limits, and she lost her awareness of the surrounding area, focusing just on the Reiatsu she could sense, and her flesh-searing magic. This led to her downfall as one of the surviving attackers swung frantically and his blade sliced her eyes clean out, blood splattering everywhere. It was unclear when her screams of rage turned to screams of pain, but the remaining Shinigami didn’t last long enough to notice the difference. With nobody left to fight, and no energy left to heal herself, she passed out on the spot, surrounded by corpses.

Hours, or days, past before she awoke, and immediately gagged, the smell of burned flesh and rotting cadavers overwhelmed her now that she was no longer driven by her rage. She emptied what little she had in her stomach and then realized another thing. The World was still black, still dark as a cave, deep underground. She reached a shaky hand up and felt the dried blood on her face, and the scar that cut cleanly from one side of her face to the other. She quickly tried Kaido, and then her own Genkido, but while the scar cleaned up nicely, her sight never returned. For whatever reason, she couldn’t get her eyes to see again, which crushed her soul and harrowed her mind. She was a healer, a dam good healer. But she couldn’t fix this. And that made her useless. She, was useless. She had let so many people die from her own weakness in the incursion, and now she was going to be blind forever because of that uselessness.

Soothing words from Peach managed to curb her hysteria as tears streamed from her defunct eyes, but it took her hours to get herself together, and start moving. She felt so helpless, shuffling along without any ability to see where she was going. Tripping over the bodies she had left behind, she eventually managed to get out of the general area, but with no sight and no understanding of the general area, she was doomed to wander blithely until some big, nasty monster came and ate her. And wouldn’t that be a great ending to a girl like this? Hannah resigned herself to it, but when it came, it was not a big nasty monster that came. Well, depending on your view point, at least. It was a group of men who had been drawn in from the commotion, and came to see what was happening. They found the helpless Hannah, and dragged her off, even a blind woman could serve with people like these. They were creative in the use of human property, after all.

They were not gentle with Hannah, stripping her out of her clothes and marking her so that any attempt to escape would be futile. And then they dressed her in some ratty potato-sack of an outfit, and threw her into a cell with two dozen others. It was not the torturous induction, or her growing hatred of her inability to see that was the worst, however. It was a feeling of loss, a deep-seated feeling that gnawed at her very soul. The men had not picked up Peach, believing her a mere sword like all the other fallen Zanpaktous. To be without the one girl that meant so much to her was more heart-ache than Hannah could cope, and she collapsed into a sobbing sleep that went undisturbed until the morning.

In that morning, she was kicked awake and then dragged outside with the rest of the people, to a courtyard, where a man started barking. If she could have seen, she would have been able to see that everyone was on edge, as her Reiatsu was filling the place with a feeling of loathing and hatred, but nobody knew where it was coming from, only feeling it’s effects. He told them that here was a camp for wretches that had fallen through the cracks of society, never to be missed, only used. Here they would learn to accept their new life, or the punishment that came with it, and to that point, he brought everyone’s attention to something Hannah could not see. He claimed that the person – apparently there was a person – had tried to escape last night, and had been caught before getting anywhere. And then the punishment began. Hannah didn’t have to see what was going on to be scared of it, she could hear it. Each crack of the whip was deafening, matched only by the screams of the man, or a very deeply voiced woman. She was not one to assume based upon their screams of agony. She counted twenty strikes before it was over, although the screams had faded by the eleventh, and the air hung thickly with the smell of blood. Hannah shuddered involuntarily, and then the man spoke again. They had two choices in this place, obedience, or punishment. And with that, men came and split the crowd into segments with practiced ease, dragging and pushing them off to wherever they had been assigned to. Hannah, being someone who had little worth, was assigned to the least of tasks, cleaning the worst parts of the camp and generally being thrown into places where she was very glad she was blind. Slowly her Reiatsu spluttered and faded back into her body in response to her feelings, and this led her to become even more sickly and weak that she was before. The captors did not like this, and so the cycle began. Hannah was weak, so they pushed her hard for their own amusement, and she got weaker because of the abuse.

While decidedly unable to do much outside of retch-inducing janitorial work, Hannah did not escape the attentions of some who would use her in any manner they saw fit. They told her that while most would be sold on to others, she was going to be kept here as their toy, and it was a fate she could look forward to. Hannah had a spark of anger at that, but the spark died quickly. She couldn’t muster any drive, any feeling of tenacity or desire to do anything but meekly follow. Her will had been crushed by herself long before the slavers had got their hands on her. So she was forced to do the most demeaning, embarrassing things they could think of, just for their amusement. Their laughter hurt almost as much as the careless groping and slapping, and biting that some of the more drunk and raunchy men indulged in. The first few times, her cheeks heated in a deep red, but she slowly burned that out, and it became just something else they did to her. In this, Hannah became more and more jaded and cynical, as her captors escaladed their attempts to embarrass her. There were limits, however. One man who stunk of booze and bad decisions pushed it too far and while it was a horrible experience for her, she did get the satisfaction of listening to the boss beat the crap out of him for breaking the rules. It was a very small mercy, but in a world like this, it was the small mercies that made up the biggest of motivations to carry on. Despite their attempts, every few days she heard another girl had shuffled herself off the mortal coil, or the lack of any medical care had done it for her.

The whole situation was one to cause great despair, and make one feel totally worthless. In fact, t was specifically designed to make you feel worthless, to crush you beneath their boot and make you nothing more than a shell of a person. But, she was not worthless. While her offensive kido was beyond her grasp, requiring a mindset that she had convinced herself she no longer possessed, her time in the Fourth division was too deeply engrained to ever allow her to lose control of her Kaido, and so she became somewhat of a blind angel. When the horrific gloop they dared to call food invariably caused issues with the prisoners, Hannah was there to sooth their troubles and bring them sweet release. When one of them had erred and been beaten harshly by overactive thugs, Hannah drew the pain from their wounds and set their bones, so they would not die. They understood Hannah’s need to be guided to where she needed to be for the help to be efficient, but anyone who would help them would receive any aid they needed to achieve their goals. However, not everyone appreciated this.

The captors found out about her actions, and dragged her out of the cell. Apparently, all that ailed the slaves was what they deserved, and they were to learn from it. Hannah’s actions deprived them of lessons, and kept them in the dark, and for that, she was to be punished. Her hands were lashed to a frame, and then the whip came. Each hit made it feel like her back feel like it was on fire, and while she bit down on the first hit, by the third she had lost all hope and was in an abyss of pain and screams, broken only by the crack of the lash. It eventually became too much for her, and the world drifted to black. She wondered if they would just keep her up there as an example, but right now she couldn’t do anything about what they wanted to do. She was beyond useless in every regard that mattered.

A return to consciousness came sudden and abrupt, as the truck she had been loaded into hit a bump, and she bashed her head, the pain waking her, and sparking even more pain from her badly medicated back. She didn’t even care why she was in a truck. Between the screaming monster that was the whip lacerations, and the dark abyss that was her loss of Peach, she was a swirling vortex of negativity, and nothing could rouse her from that. She barely blinked when the truck stopped, but a good minute after that, she did raise her head because she just heard a very strange sound. She wasn’t sure, but it would be what she would expect the sound of someone exploding to sound like. The ripping of skin and the splintering of bone, before the pitter-patter and clink of blood and bone fragments hitting the truck. Whatever could do something like that, must have been a monster of magnificent stature. Death had finally come for her, it seemed.

Instead, what came was a man. He informed the girls that they was in China, and trespassing on Kokuryuteshi Empire soil, and that was bad. Without any care in the world, Hannah hotly retorted that they didn’t exactly chose this weekend getaway. The sardonic response made him chuckle, and focus on Hannah herself. It was then that the man caught on and realized she was blind. The way she stared through things, never focusing, and the discoloration of her irises and pupils, it meant she was unable to see anything. Feeling amused and thus benevolent enough to be a nice person, he got into the truck, and unfastened the bindings that held everyone in position. An offer of help was given, but nobody really heard, as they scurried out of the truck as fast as they could once they were able, not wanting to hang around any longer, risking the wilderness and death, to possible slavery. The only one left was Hannah, with a smile on her face that implied bloody knife-murder in the dead of night if he so much as looked in her direction in a manner which displeased her. Fortunately, Hannah was blind, so he could look all he wanted and she had no idea he was doing it.

The man offered his hand, and made sure to let Hannah know that it was offered and that he meant to harm to her. Hannah thought for a moment, and then realized that she didn’t care if he did or not, so simply let him take her hand and slowly lead her back to his house. Once there, he offered her clothes that were not blood-stained rags, and while they barely fit, they were better than what she had one before, so she accepted them. The clothes felt strange, but she had lost her fashion sense with her blindness and subsequent slavery, so just accepted them as something that wasn’t an absolute mess. The man commented on the still weeping marks on her back, and mentioned they would get infected if she didn’t get them seen too. She gave him a cryptic comment about how it would be seen to regardless, and so he let it lie.

Here she rested for several weeks, lost in lethargic despair. Her whipped back was cleansed of puss and the wounds closed, but she kept the scars there, because they were part of her now. She needed something to fill the void in her heart left by the loss of her Zanpaktou, but nothing came. She couldn’t do anything to help the man who had taken her in – not that he expected her too, but it felt bad just being here without lending a hand with something – and so she just sat in her room, ate when food was cooked, and was little more than a doll. She wondered if it would have been better to die that day, but several conversations with a few others who had come to visit her after her arrival helped in that regard. It seemed that her Reiatsu was not subtle in any manner, and had been noticed by a few people. Some claimed that merely walking past this house gave them shivers, while others were curious as to what could produce such pain, and felt a humanitarian desire to see if they could aid such a girl. At first she gave them no mind, but they kept coming and they were insistent as well as strangely nice. So she decided to start trying. And she could help herself at the same time, her Reiatsu was at the core of the pain that wracked her at night, and sometimes at day. She dealt with the pain silently so as not to disturb her host, but it would be better to not have the pains at all.

So she got down to it. The nitty-gritty of her Reiryoku. Having been suppressed for so long, her body felt like the natural reaction to raging Reiryoku was pain. Wither this had happened before, or if it was unique to her, she didn’t know, but it needed to be sorted out, and fast. So that was exactly what she did. With intense meditation and her skill combined with her natural aptitude, she slowly managed to bring it back to a better level, a level that was not one that crippled her just by existing. Her body’s ravaged nature wasn’t something she could fix, and even with work, it would be weak in comparison to practically everyone else, but she was content enough with the outcome. Being able to get up in the morning without feeling like she had been worked over by a bat in her sleep, was a good feeling. Still, the feeling was marred by still being blind, it seemed nothing would fix that.

Her victory tainted, it seemed like she was going to fade back into her depressive lethargic state, but luck and incredible instinct was on her side. When she had been working to fix her body, something had changed with the way she perceived the world. It was no longer totally pitch black without any input, instead she seemed to have a vague understanding of where things where. She got up and with her hands verified each of her vague feelings, learning that they were accurate, to a degree. Stubbed toes and bashed shins aside, this was an evolution. If she could refine it…

And so she had a new project. The first of which was to find out the source of this new awareness, which, as it happened, was her own Reiatsu. It coated the surrounding objects, and fed the information back to her mind about the general whereabouts and shapes. But it needed refining, so she went about pulling it tighter around shapes, modifying and manipulating her Reiatsu so that she could get much more accurate feedback. This, brought its own problems however. The sharper the feedback became, the more clearly she could perceive-by-proxy, the shorter the distance became. By the time she could make out the contortions of her nightstand, she was unable to see anything beyond it. Which was troubling. It meant that she’d never be able to keep her Reiatsu leashed and avoid all the troubles that a powerful Reiatsu untapped would cause. So she got up and slowly edged her way out of the room, and downstairs, where for the first time since they had met, she actually engaged her host in conversation outside of the dinner table. She was shy and reserved at the best of times, and she had withdrawn for quite a while so she wasn’t as confident as she could have been, nor as well spoken, so she stuttered and faltered a lot. But her host was friendly and polite, and waited, listening as she spoke and didn’t interrupt or look bored in the slightest.

She never questioned or inquired as to why, exactly, her host seemed so content for her to just sit in her room and do nothing, to never interact with him or try anything for the real world, or why he never lost his patience with her, and never forced her into anything, merely tried to include her. It could be anything in his past, but she was not a girl that liked to bother, and so never mentioned it. Instead, her conversation was that she wanted him to be a man who was exposed to her Reiatsu, and to tell her what point was comfortable for him to be around. When he accepted, Hannah explosively released her power, and then began to rein it in until he spoke up, saying that that was the point that he could handle. Taking that point of measurement and refining it to her surroundings, she got about fifteen feet in total. The only real problem with this is that sneaking and subtlety where forgone concepts due to how loud and proud she had to go with her output merely to see. But, even then, it was just a small concern, not something that really bothered her that much in comparison to being able to interact with the world again, even if it was a strange sort of interaction. Not seeing, but rather, knowing. Not that the differentiation mattered to her, sight was all she cared for, the semantics were best left to others.

With this, she was finally free to live again, to find something to fit. And so she did it with great vigor. There was one obvious path for a girl like her to go, and she took that path with the fire of a girl confident in her powers and her ability. The Enchanters accepted a girl like her with gusto, and she was tutored in the spiritual craft of K-World, as she tutored everyone that she could in everything. As they grew, so did Hannah. Her powers, Being unused for so long, where hard to start with, but when she did start using it, it came back as if it had never been unused in the first place. She even developed a Gen-Kido that could help repair structures, not just people. It was pretty interesting for her, but then so was any development in her power. She loved her job in the K-world because it was a job that she could do, something that she could flex her power muscles. This, peace, was finally what she had been searching for. After so long, she felt like she belonged again. And with this belonging came a drive to do. To power onwards and show everyone that while blind and frail, she was not a girl that was going to fall down easily. She was going to grab life by the balls and squeeze, just to hear the funny noises it would make when she did.

But, before she could get too into it, she was told that all those of K-World were able to get one with from Kin, and so she was taken before him. She didn’t try to hide her Shinigami nature, he was far too astute for anything like that, and would have seen through it in an instant and been insulted for the attempt. But, there was nothing she could really think of needing, so she just humorously asked him to make her into a Magical Girl. The whole transformation thing had endeared itself to her. Kin, wither or not he actually picked up on the lack of seriousness, came through with the request and produced a gem, in which had a high-tech looking staff and an interesting outfit. He called the outfit a ‘Barrier Jacket’ and claimed it would help protect her frail body, while the staff, he would leave to her. Surprised to actually get it, she had no name in mind, but looking it over she felt it resembled her own raging heart very well. It had an ascetic of power and bravado, and once used to test its features, she found that the staff had a potent enhancing ability. So that is what she called it. Being a physical thing, she could probably even get the engineers to look over it and see what could be improved. But right now, she was content with it, and so thanked Kin, not expecting that a wish made so whimsically could bring such joy.

Kin seemed to have some minor enjoyment of Hannah's presence, as she even renamed the Enchanters into the Magisters on Hannah's joking request, and put her at the head, as the Arch-Magister. Not one to let such trust and care go to waste, Hannah put in a lot of work in the RnD, helping with the creation of Kido Cartridges and a modification of her magical staff into a superior version. Her Gen-Kido was perfected here, as she used it daily for the betterment of the populace.

Alas, such days would not go on forever. Eventually, Hannah's personality melted away the hate and the heartbreak. Unable to keep hold of such emotions in the face of who she was, and the ability to act as she had always done, in aid of those that needed it. She felt wrong, to be supporting Kin in a revenge she could no longer stand by and support. Her mood declined, and in her morose wanderings, drew her somewhere she knew, deep down, would give her an out; Karakura.

It didn't go as expected. A discussion with Sou escaladed to a fight, that took her out, and she was arrested by the responders who came to check out the explosion. It might have seemed unfortunate to the outsider, but in reality, she kind of wanted it. To have the choice of leaving or staying taken out of her hands. And now, in Karakura Prison, she could linger, do as she was told, and simply exist without issue.

It was here she spent the next few years. Kokuyuteshi fell while she was inside, but she didn't mind so much. She had her new life here. It took a while to get them to trust her enough to help in the infirmary, but eventually she managed to get where she wanted to be. Where she belonged. While her power was restricted down to the absolute minimum she needed to see, she worked on and studied Kido in an environment that few would ever have access too. This eventually bore fruit with what she called 'Shadow Casting'. The ability tocast Kido at full power while mitigating the cost of it.

She was not lonely in the prison either, as fools and morons visited her to learn what she could teach. Takehiko first, then Byakuya after, both insulting her prowess and pride. But it wasn't all bad, as she met a friend who she would get close to; Elyss Kishimoto. The second visit of Elyss drew the attention of Shadin, and gave Hannah what she never expected; A Second Chance. A chance to be more than just a prisoner. She accepted his offer, and joined in with Lux Orior, remaining firm to the modern day.

Eventually, she solved the last great problem with her life, and resolved the exile from Soul Society, her trauma related to them, and her despair at it all. Abalia, using Forbidden Ultimate Final Mother Techniques, broke down Hannah's walls (and the woman herself) in a single, decisive move. Finally, finally she could live her life again.

And live it she did. Making new friends, finally getting back into socializing, and even through a whim of fate, regaining her Zanpaktou, Hannah was frantic. Making some mistakes as she relearned how to be a person in society, she eventually got her feet under her. But that was just what you did. Fall, scrape, stand, and learn. The Way Of The World.

I. Natural Abilities

» Natural Abilities: Oceanic Reiryoku pool: From as long back as could be remembered, Hannah’s Reiryoku has been vast, and with all that she has been through, it has grown to become something as broad and as deep as the oceans themselves. This allows Hannah to fire off potent Kido at a rate that can shock lesser beings, and impress even the best slinger of Kido. Her recovery rate is also considerable. While she won’t be springing back from dry in the middle of a fight, she has considerably less downtime than one would expect from the amount of power she routinely displays.

Abnormal Reiryoku potency: Another effect of having Reiryoku out the wazoo, the power of her soul possesses a level of potency rarely seen in Shinigami, and rarely understood even by herself. This allows her to use her Kido to much greater effect than other people of the same level, as there is much more potential power packed into each little drop of her energy, allowing her to make her Kido very well fed, and the resulting kaboom, or indeed whatever sound affect Bakudo makes, is more considerable as a result of this.

Body of Cardboard: Repression of her power ravaged Hannah's body in the younger years, leaving her sickly, weak, and unable to do much physically. As her powers grew in intensity and strength, so did the ravaging, forcing her into moments of great, agonising pain and occasionally crippling her completely. This has happened in some of the most inopportune moments, and screwed her life up royally. While she has recently fixed the power form actively laying waste to her, she still has to bare the damage that has been inflicted until now. While she has been trying to heal it with her powers, it has come to no avail so far, and she feels as if it will never come to any avail as long as she is alive. The source of the damage was her spiritual power, so as long as she possesses that, she is going to be crippled by it in body.

Anima Mea - Sound of the Soul: While researching her Genkido, Hannah became aware of her Reiryoku's deeper mysteries. wither it is just her skill and control over her Reiryoku, or if it is something unique to Hannah, she doesn't quite know, but what she does know, is that there are four paths within her Soul. Heat, Wind, Force, and Light. With these four paths, she can cultivate amazing new techniques that have never before been seen, such as her Halharl Infigar, which pushes the Heat and Wind. The only other techniques she has right now, is Hadika Hadeka, pushing Force to create a powerful blast from her hand, knocking the enemy back, or launching herself back if she needed it - an interesting outcome of this is that the force is not a single thing, but rather fixed for several seconds, hitting the target over and over, or granting Hannah a very limited flight capability - and the exhaustive Belior Goldoreza, which pushes Heat and Light to create a beam reminiscent of a laser. As she grows in power, and experiments more, then more powers are sure to come from this. These techniques are akin enough to Kido to work under the same rules as them, only without needing a chant. It could be called a sub-category of Kido, but she has not been able to get out to see if others can learn it, and so she is stuck on what to classify it for now.

I. Racial Abilities

» Racial Abilities: High-Speed Incantation: A trick Hannah developed on the battlefield, when incantations were far too long for battlefield conditions. The power that a full chant could bring to bear would be one that would save the lives of many due to it eliminating the target rather than simply wounding it. But rarely was there time to speak it all, so instead this was developed, from need and necessity. It grants the ability for Hannah to bend linguistically rules, and speak several words at the same time. This dramatically speeds up a chant, but also burns her Reiryoku at a faster rate, as it is used as the catalyst for this power. As such, it is used strategically, rather than with every casting.

Reiryoku Sonar: Being blind sucks. So Hannah decided to make a way to get around being blind, and made this, her Not-Being-Blind power. It allows her to send out her Reiatsu, and then get feedback from what her Reiatsu interacts with, granting her a map of the area and allowing her to move while still being entirely unable to see. This can’t overcome powers such as Death’s Cloak or Castiel’s Concealment however, and she is a constant beacon, due to the way this works. and she is a constant beacon of Reiatsu for anyone with even the slightest bit of spiritual sensing ability, due to the way this works. Her incredible pressure and power works against her as it is very difficult to miss her if a person can sense energy.

Grand Witch: Hannah's life is steeped in Kido, in the study and invention of new powers like Gen-Kido and Anima Mea. Every day is a new day to progress, invent, and ascend previous boundaries. This constant usage of and reliance on her Kido has led - along with her natural capabilities - to a very potent, and very large pool of Reiryoku and a familiarity with Kido, a synchronicity unrivalled by most. This "Ability" is mostly a platform to showcase Hannah's capabilities in the field as above those who would otherwise be her equals.

Shadow Casting: Expanding forever on her kido capabilities, Hannah tested a new form of casting that she dubbed 'Shadow Casting' due to it's nature. Stripping away all but the bare essentials of a Kido, it can be used much more efficiently than otherwise possible, allowing for greater longevity on the field and easier use in the more powerful Kidos. This reduces the overall train of using Kido and allows them to take a lesser hit to their stamina when used.

The drawback is that it requires a great amount of control and capability in Kido to use, and so is limited to people who have a minimum of Elite in Kido, though the full blooded variant is locked off until Master Kido is achieved. Additionally, it requires a fair amount of focus, and extreme stress or distraction will make it difficult to impossible to use.

A special kind of Kido Casting, where one visualizes the Kido as a strand being weaved into a web, or cat's cradle shape. It takes a great deal of experience and skill to be able to pull off, but once one does indeed manage to grasp the way Weave-Way works, it can allow them to tie multiple Kidos together with much greater speed and control than before.

This technique can be taught to others, requiring a minimum of Elite to function, though not reaching it's proper potential until Master. Since it is such an esoteric method of interacting with Kido, 'mere' peak capability in Kido is not enough to truly use this technique, one must have their own true Way.

Gen-kido: While failing Zanjutsu, and Hakuda, finding it incredibly difficult to build up any degree of muscle mass, and only having a passing skill in Hoho, there was only one path left for Hannah to excel. And that was to use her powerful Reiatsu to create a new set of Kaido powers, to make her mark despite her body's physical uselessness. Gen-kido is not a fully-fledged art yet, still requiring experience and experimentation before she can call it that. Kido was probably developed over hundreds of years, so she is not dissuaded despite the long time since it’s inception. However, it is on it's way there. Being conceptualized as a more potent Kaido that can be launched at range, it is separated into numbers much like it's cousin, Kido, ranging from 1 to 50. They demand a great deal more power than usual Kido, however, and should be used sparingly when they are completed.

Gen-Kido 1 – Kagayaku Hari [Shining Needles]: This technique is the most simple of all her Gen-Kido, used to heal minor wounds or multiple people at range. It creates thin needles which shoot from the user’s palm and feed benevolent energy into them. Each needle is negligible in its regenerative abilities, but can be fired as a massed horde to clear up the scrapes and bruises of a large group. More severe techniques require a stronger technique, as regardless of how many needles are fired, it cannot handle broken bones. The needles can be blocked by objects, and need to be aimed precisely, which make them rather a niche technique. However, the low costs and ability to cover an entire area with it very quickly does add to it's use in the right situations.

Gen-Kido 6 – Za Kiri [The Fog]: an advancement on wide-area healing, it requires more power than Shining Needles, but has a much wider area and a better chance to actually hit what they want, due to its semi-physical nature. Absorbed through the skin and lungs, it can reach internal damage and stabilise it, but hasn’t got the power to heal it outright. The distance the fog can cover is determined by how much Reiatsu she puts into it. However, regardless of how much energy goes into it, the regenerative abilities of this technique stay the same.

Gen-kido 13 – Kage Hogo [Shadow Suture]: A more specialised Gen-kido designed for lacerations and open wounds, this creates black strands of energy that launch forwards, as incorporeal as shadows themselves, and flying at a great speed to meet their target. Once it has hit, it quickly seals the wound and then the remaining energy is burned off to accelerate creation of scar-tissue, to aid in the prevention of infection. While this can be used on internal lacerations, it requires a much greater level of control. It can also be used unorthodoxly to stitch broken bones back together until she can get a moment to use a more powerful Gen-Kido, or return to base. The further the person is from Hannah, the more energy hse has to expend to get to them, but with her eyes the way they are, she can see through buildings and obstacles to make use of the incorporeal nature of this Genkido.

Gen-kido 14 – Taiyo Hantei [Sun’s Judgement]: Another specialized Gen-Kido designed for the unseen, this creates a blinding bright light which, once its beams touch a person, they are filled with the burning energy it possesses. This can ignite infections, and some poisons, driving them from the body and bringing it back to better health. It is better used on poison that infection, as it does not heal the wound itself, only the ailment taking advantage of the wound. It can also be used on colds, sore throats, fevers, and other minor illnesses, making it pretty handy even outside the battlefield.
Gen-Kido 15 [to 40] – Shokunin Onkei [Craftman’s Boon]: A strange, unique Gen-kido that is designed to ‘heal’ structural damage, rather than damage that has been incurred by that of a human. Unlike most, this Gen-Kido has several levels of power, which can increase the rating based on how much energy was expended to manifest it.

Gen-kido 31 – Daitaiyo Hantei [Great Sun’s Judgement]: An enhanced version of Sun’s Judgement, for the more dangerous, or embedded infections, or more potent/fast-acting poisons. This Kido operates identically to its brother, but has greater strength, at the cost of greater energy expenditure. Only the most esoteric of poisons can survive this, and even they are weakened considerably. There is, as of yet, no known illness or wound-based ailment that can survive the gaze of this Gen-Kido.

Gen-Kido 50 – Kin-Ryu Goon [Gold Dragon Roar]: The most powerful of Hannah’ Gen-Kido, it spawns a mighty Chinese Dragon, shining gold and curling around the area in which it has been commanded to restore. It then opens its mouth and lets out a great roar, spraying incredible energy and healing all most the most grievous, fatal wounds. A man mere seconds from death would be stabilized, his wounds regenerated to a point where he no longer had to fear the coming of the Reaper. This drains even Hannah’s incredible reserves rather deeply, and so is used sparingly.

"Don't worry, I can handle the side-effects of trusting a person too much. The staff is not just for show, and even without it, my Kido is about the strength of a Gotei Captain" she explained, giving the man a smile, before having her eyes wander some more. It was best not to stare at a man for too long, or else her strange broken eyes got a bit spooky on them. She listened more, and then nodded softly, at the idea of travelling the world. Not something she could really do that well, on her own at least. But, that was for a little later.

"Mmm, you do actually have something off about you. Underneath the residue from retirement. When a person is wounded, their spiritual energy flows differently from when they are well. I would need to be more in-depth with an analysis, but I could probably lend my hand. Maybe, Gen-Kido #6 would work to give me an accurate assessment of your wounds. And failing that, just brute it with Gen-Kido #50" Hannah was more enthusiastic now, a true medic at heart despite the power to rend cities with a gigantic kido blast. She missed his quip, intentional or not, and her eyes - while looking elsewhere - were burning with intensity.

When he gets angry, his eyes iris’ turn from blue, to deep red.
» Appearance Image: [Put an image of your character here if you have one]

I. Personality

» Personality:

Zen is one of the calmest people you will find. Very few things, if anything no one has been successful yet, cause him to lose his cool. There is a rumor that when he loses his cool he might become as violent and unpredictable as a Kenpachi.

He enjoys keeping order and following the law to the best of his ability. He seeks to bring arguments to a quick and calm resolution, but he is willing to use force to restore order, starting with non-lethal, and using lethal force only when necessary, something his Zanpakutō allows him to do effectively.

He has enjoyed music since before his death. Spending so much time on Earth since the 1900’s his enjoyment of music has only increased. He can often be found in his music store selling instruments, old music formats, teaching classes, and sometimes preforming concerts for charities.

While he enjoys things to be orderly and lawful, he also enjoys seeing chaos ensue in certain situations. He knows that it is a part of nature, and only steps in to calm the satiation when it is getting out of hand.

Zen has another side to him, one that few see and live to tell the tale. Beneath the calm, relaxed façade hides a monster. While few things get under his skin, those that do, drive him mad. The switch on a much more sadistic side, a more authoritarian side. When he is in this state, though he is not in a blind rage, his attacks are much more forceful, his words commanding, he will do whatever it takes to have his target follow orders. His irises turn a crimson red when he is in this state.

Likes: Most music though he prefers classical. Sweets. Order. Deep down inside he likes to watch chaos unfold as he stays cool, calm and collected.

Dislikes: Metal music. Unregulated chaos.

I. History

» History: Zen was born in Paris, France a 24 years before the French Revolution to a wealthy aristocratic family to the name Roy Delacroix. Throughout his early years he had a great affinity towards everything that had to do with music and his parents greatly agreed to further his studies into the musical arts. At the age of 17 he was greatly known throughout Paris as a music prodigy and he became a man that everyone looked up to and many women wanted to marry. His parents arranged many women to date him hoping that he would propose to one but he never did. While he had great interests in them, he never felt the need to carry on the family line.

One day when he was tending to the rose garden in his own home, he discovered a man in the middle of the rosy briars. The man didn’t know how to speak, or do much of anything. He was quite tall and had red hair, the same color as a rose. The man seemed to learn how to do things quite quickly for someone who seemed to have been born recently. He decided to name the man Pierre d’laRose. Pierre was a fairly common French name, and D’laRose meant “from the rose”, quite appropriate from where he seemed to have been born out of. They spent quite a few years together, but fate had other plans.

The French Revolution had reached its peak, and the heads of the bourgeoisie must roll! While loved by many it was time for his death. While many were dragged to their deaths at the guillotine, Roy had accepted his fate years ago, back when the revolution started, he walked calmly and with purpose to la demi-lune. Many had attended his beheading, not in the traditional sense to be joyful at his death, but to solemnly mourn what was going to happen. Very few were allowed to speak much before their death, and even of those Roy’s words were different. “I stand here today to face the cards fate has dealt for me my friends! While today you may mourn the loss of a friend, a composer, a fellow Frenchman that while has not lived through your struggles understands your rage and why you must do this please do not mourn for long! I know that victory will soon be at your door, and that France will become the country you want it to be! One where everyone has the chance to live as freely as they desire and were the upper class doesn’t oppress the rest! If I have to sacrifice my life for the good of the country I gladly accept my fate! Au revoir mes amis, ma musique peuvent remplir vos cœurs jusqu'à la fin des temps.
Not long after his death he ended up where many spirits do, Rukongai. It was so alien to him. He remembered his entire life, here it was very different from what life was in France, regardless of what class he was there. Even here he was fairly well off being in a Fifth district. He was fairly well known for being calm and fair. People always felt at ease when he was around, many of the more elderly residents claiming that his soul was as pure as freshly fallen snow.

While he did have a calming aura due to his personality, his spiritual aura was slightly more dangerous. He had so much energy within his own soul that his spirit pressure did cause issues for those that were too close to Zen. This caused him to live more or less alone. While he did have friends, they needed to keep their distance physically or else they might get hurt. For someone that remembered being alive trying to grasp the concept of controlling this energy was foreign to him. It wasn’t uncommon for people around him to become stunned or feel pain when he wasn’t paying close attention to it. This obviously drew some complaints to those that did not know he had this issue, and on several occasions the authorities were called. While it wouldn’t have taken too long for his power to have been brought to the attention of Shinigami, scared residents running away when they see him and some getting hurt just expedited the process.

Being told that he should apply to the Shino Academy several times during these, he thought it would be worth at least a try. He didn’t know what to expect for the entrance exam, he didn’t know much beyond controlling his own reiatsu to a limited degree, if they asked for anything else he would likely fail. The test was not difficult at all. It just consisted of proving he had an appropriate level of reiatsu and that he could control it. He passed with fairly high marks. While he did have quite a high level of reiatsu; so much that once he let go of his concentration, he stunned some of the Shinigami administering the test. He apologized to no end for this, he didn’t mean to do it, but it was alright, they told him that the fact that he could hold back some of that energy being dead for only a few years was quite amazing. He held a lot of potential inside of his body, and that being in the academy would greatly improve his abilities.

He had a very strong connection with his Zanpakutō spirit. He could go into the inner world and spend time with it, but the spirit never said a word. It’s not like he wasn’t able to. He could communicate with Zen, he just wasn’t talking to him. Their relationship was similar to a teacher and student. His spirit taught him how to do things without speaking, using gestures and music to communicate with Zen. It took a while to understand it, but Zen got it. It still frustrated that it wouldn’t speak back! He wanted to understand why he coudlnt control his sword, but every time he asked his spirit just motioned to Zen “It’s a secret” or “Soon” but that didn’t mean anything to Zen, it wasn’t an answer. This frustrated him to no end. He needed to go out and get some fresh air sometimes.

Often he went out to the calm forests to try and get his sword strikes in order. One day he came across a beautiful lake. The waters were calm and reflected light almost as if it was a mirror on the ground. What he found even more interesting is that sounds that happened around it were amplified and there was minimal interference. It was as if the lake was a giant amplifier. He was so interested in it that he decided to go to the center of the lake and try it out himself, essentially forgetting that he was here to practice. He had no instruments to test out the lake with, but every musician knows they always have an instrument on them, their voices. While not the best singer Zen wasn’t horrible. He closed his eyes and started to sing.

What he heard was amazing. The surrounding area filled with his voice. It resonated and reflected inside the lake, amplifying it and filling miles around with his voice. This place was perfect. He felt so serene. Suddenly he felt his own reishi spike. In front of him stood a man wearing a pure white suit with a red tie. Zen instantly knew who this was. It was the spirit of his Zanpakutō. They had met before in his inner world, but the man never spoke. At the time it was mildly understandable, but as it kept going on it was frustrating. Finally, the man spoke “It seems you found your own voice.” The spirit said. Zen was confused about it, find his own voice, what did that mean. “You came here to train your sword skills. But you left that behind and found something you were good at. Something we are both good at.” Zen felt the need to pull out his Zanpakutō and hold it in front of his spirit. They both held it, and Zen finally learned his Zanpakutō’s name. He nodded at Aurora and said “Command! Aurora!”

The area was filled with a brilliant blue light, his spirit pressure pushing the water away from where he was standing. In his hands, instead of a sword, was a medium length conductor’s baton. It was simple. Dark blue with some silver bands along the bottom, middle and tip. He was surprised at what he was holding. Now it made sense why he was so bad at Zanjutsu! He wasn’t going to need it! Though his spike in pressure did set of some alarms, so he was surrounded by 4 Shinigami who promptly took him back to the Academy.
After a few days his Zanpakutō hadn’t changed back to its sword form. This meant it was one of the few constant release zones. This usually meant that the owner had great spiritual power, but at the same time it could also mean that they couldn’t control it, shown by the inability to revert it back to a lower power state. Regardless of that fact, he still released his Shikai, putting him far ahead of what other students could do.

Zen as stationed in squad 13, having graduated from the academy fairly soon after unlocking his shikai. He was stationed in different locations of the human world, rotating between cities that were having hollow problems, as with his shikai he could quickly dispatch of any low level problems. Though he did find it strange that no matter where he went there were a significantly higher quantity of hollows, and they were getting stronger. He also noticed that Shinigami stationed in the human world were also going missing as of late, which was even stranger. Those in the squad were strong enough to take care of the regular hollows that came to Earth and there were not reports of anything too strong, so them dying in combat would be highly unlikely. He wanted to ask his captain about this but he was always out on missions and could not be reached via other means of communication.

One day the captain asked several members, to go meet him out in a cave, which was a fair distance from the Seretei and populated areas of the Rukongai. The closer they got to the cave Zen felt the presence of hollows. A large number of them, but he couldn’t pinpoint any of them. It got stronger and stronger as they went into the cave, where they saw the captain standing infront of an open Garganta.

Everyone was surprised at the sight, but before any of them hollows jumped out of the portal and took them by surprise. That had all been attacked by one, with the exception of Zen, who blasted one with sound, causing it to disintegrate in the air. The rest of the group was dead, the hollows eating their bodies, consuming their energy. The captain had a sullen look on his face, saying to Zen that he broke orders by not feeding the hollows. Failing to follow the direct commands of a captain is insubordination and he had to be punished for it. The hollows that had come from the Garganta ran over to the captain as they began to melt and the dark energy they released covered the captain’s body. An insane laugh filled the cave as the captains body was distorted and mutated. He no longer was a Shinigami. Before Zen stood a giant hollow. Its giant bony mask like face staring down at him, its mouth dripping with hunger. Zen’s instinctive nature was to flash step away, if he had to fight it was not going to be inside of this cave.

The moment Zen was outside he took out his Zanpakutō and sent out a sonic message to the Seretei, asking for assistance as he had encountered a very strong hollow. It was going to take time for help to arrive, he had to fight it alone for the moment. He did recognize the area he was in, the lake with good acoustics was near here. The hollow followed him, firing cero and bala as he did, but zen was fast enough to doge out of the way as he made it to the lake he was looking for. One he got to the lake the former captain talked to him in a voice filled with madness. He asked Zen what he thought he was going to do, he wasn’t strong enough to win. He offered him a choice. He could join him as a hollow, or die due to his insubordination, he was still his captain, he had to follow orders, and Zen had to follow orders.

Zen was indeed conflicted about having to follow orders, but he was not obligated to follow someone’s specific orders. A buzzing sound filled the air, it was the sound of static noise. Zen’s reiatsu started to show, it was sky blue, and looked like the visual representation of the noise, static. The color started to change though. The blue was starting to darken, turning redder and redder, until it was a brilliant crimson color. The static noise was amplified by the lake bellow, now it could be heard for miles around, and the hollow grabbed its head as the volume was unbearable and pain inducing. Zen chuckled as he opened his eyes slightly, his irises the same crimson color as his aura. He told the captain that he wasn’t going to follow his orders. He no longer was his captain, and that Zen was the one that was going to dictate what was going to happen from now on between them.

Zen heard Tenmei’s voice telling him to call out his real name. It was the time to unleash his real power and bring order to those that dare defy him, those that would dictate their own laws and orders above his own. Zen smirked as he whispered “Bankai.” At that moment the static ended as the crimson energy covered Zen’s body. His spiritual pressure went over the roof, this was at the same time that members from squad 11 reached the area, they stopped right at the clearing as they were stricken with fear. The hollow was also stricken with fear as that is what Zen’s pressure commanded. Zen didn’t look any different, but his Zanpakutō was now heavily ornate.

Zen flash stepped directly in front of the hollow and released a flurry of blows at him. Zen was not skilled in zanjutsu, but he was exceptionally good at hakuda. He tore into the hollows body, blood spraying all over his body, his hands covered in it. He gave an upper cut sending the hollow flying into the sky. As he did his Zanpakutō was covered in his red reiatsu, it solidified into a short, but sharp, blade. He quickly reached the hollow and started to tear into him again, this time his hakuda translating into his short sword, slashing and goring the hollow. Its body parts falling down onto the lake, staining it red with its blood. At the end of this assault there was nothing left of the hollow except its head. It fell to the ground. Zen landed next to it as he glared down at it and pointed his Zanpakutō at it. He said to it “Insubordination” before blasting it with sound, causing the mask to shatter.

The squad around him had seen the entire battle, if one could call it that. The captain of the 11th squad was also present and approached Zen. He took Zen to the captain commander and explained what he had seen Zen do. At this point Zen had calmed down, his eyes no longer red, his aura calm. The captain commander asked to be left alone with Zen. He asked him to explain wat had happened, and Zen explained everything that he had seen. The murder of his squad members and the hollowfication of the captain. The commander looked at Zen and asked him to never reveal the hollowfication incident to anyone. Zen agreed to that order. After the meeting he was placed as the Captain of the squad 13, as there were few members left and he was deemed the most capable of doing the job.

His stay as captain wasn’t long, only lasting a few years. It’s not that he didn’t like the job, but he just didn’t want to continue in his position. He wanted to relax and live a normal life. Though he still wanted to keep the world safe. He went to the commander and asked if he could go live in the human world. He explained how he felt and that he was still willing to help the Gotei when needed. This came as a surprise as no one had asked for this type of request before. At first the commander was reluctant to allow him to live in the human world, but a deal was struck, he would live in the human world for one normal human lifetime, and return to the seretei for 50 years, to ensure that his identity would not be revealed to humans.

While in the human world one day he found something interesting. In the dusk hours he saw something glowing in an alley way. He took a look inside to find a large crystal rosebud that radiated a large amount of spirit energy. He got closer to see that someone, or something was inside of it. It seemed to be a small man, but upon closer inspection it was an arrancar. An arrancar in the city? Sleeping? That was odd. Though he did get a sense of familiarity. It had been so long. He got close and used his own spirit pressure to melt away the crystal structure. As it melted the man inside woke up. His first instinct was to cower in the spot he was in. After a few moment the man started to cry and ran up and hugged Zen. The arrancar cried into him and said he was happy that Zen-san had found him. That’s a name he hadn’t heard in a long time. Few people had ever called him that. Zen looked down and tiled the Arrancar face to look at him. Past the tears and the pieces of broken mask, the face was familiar. He recognized him, it was Viz. Viz used to be a Shinigami, but had decided to side with Aizen many years ago. Viz told his story, to how Aizen had taken advantage and turned him into an Arrancar, how he escaped and waited there for someone to find him.

Zen didn’t know what to do. Viz was an arrancar, but he didn’t seem like he was evil. He was scared and just wanted to be safe. With a sigh he decided to help Viz by letting live him in his house. Slowly word did get out that Viz was there, and that he was an arrancar. At first it was quite troublesome as people were assholes and didn’t understand, but as time went on Zen helped Viz and others understand the situation, so that Viz could be safe.

Centuries passed in the human world and as humans became more spiritually aware and events passed Zen did not need to hide any longer. He did not need to fake his identity and split his time between the human world and the gotei. He now had the life that he wanted, to live in the human world and still work for the seretei, his own rules. Eventually the Gotei restructured itself, and as such they were looking for people who were capable enough to become captains of now much larger branches of the organization.

I. Sealed Powers

» Zanpakutô Name: Tenmei

» Zanpakutô Spirit Appearance: Tenmei is a man dressed in a completely white suit with a red tie. He stands at a height similar to Zen’s with short brown hair and red eyes. For the first few meetings he was completely silent. When Zen awakened his Shikai he heard Tenmei’s voice, which was deep and commanding.

Tenmei is also known for manifesting himself more often than other Zanpakutō spirits (more detail in the Shikai section).

» Inner World: Their inner worlds is an empty gold stage surrounded by darkness. A spotlight shines on them when they are in it.

» Zanpakutô Appearance: Currently none. It is a constant release Zanpakutō, it lost its sword form when Zen first released it. (Current apperence in Shikai section)

» Sealed Zanpakutô Power: None as it is a constant release type Zanpakuto.

I. Shikai

» Shikai Release Phrase: Command! Aurora! (Meijiru! Tenmei!)

» Shikai Appearance: After saying his release phrase his sword completely disappears and the hilt of his sword transforms into a conductors baton. The baton is a deep blue color, almost black. It measures 15 inches in length

» Shikai Abilities:

Manifestation: Tenmei can willingly manifest himself outside of the inner world. While all Zanpakutō spirits have this ability, he does it relatively frequently in comparison. He often comes out when he pleases, depending on the situation. Sometimes he just wants to be outside, sometimes he wants to keep Zen company, sometimes he wants to chime in on a conversation in an external manner, and in dire situations when Zen can’t act for himself.

When in battle Tenmei has the same abilities detailed in this and the Bankai section, and always acts as if he was in Bankai, regardless of whether if Zen has activated it in battle or not. Tenmei will only be in battles if Zen has gotten to a state where he cannot fight but is not unconscious. An example of it would be when Zen was in a fight with Hisao, and he could not move without having dealing damage to himself, essentially being paralyzed, but in that case, Zen asked for the help, before it was provided.
Tenmei can only provide assistance ONCE per thread. The duration of this cannot exceed 5 posts, but if he sustains a large amount of damage, or if he willingly returns to the Zanpakutō, he cannot participate in the battle again. This also counts if he is outside of the Zanpakutō before a battle starts in a thread.

While Tenmei is outside, Zen’s Zanpakutō abilities’ power are cut by 3/4 and he cannot access Bankai. The only exception to this is the Arpeggio ability. The cost of merged kido goes up 4x.

Order: Zen’s Zanpakutō focuses on maintaining order, and more importantly the order Zen wants others to follow. This has manifested itself in the way of music, no matter how disorganized a piece of music sounds there are underlying rules that allow the music to be played. He uses some of those rules as his abilities to maintain order as the conductor of the battle field.
Sound Manipulation: Zen can create sounds around him and fights with sound. The manipulation can work in various ways. He can create normal sounds within the area that his Illuminacion affects, that is these sounds don’t have any effect that normal sound wouldn’t have. They can range from a pin dropping to that of an entire orchestra playing. In a similar way he can manipulate already existing sounds. For example, he could make someone voice sound different after their words leave their mouth, even going as far as making their words make no sound at all. Creating and manipulating sounds in this way does not require much, if any energy on his part.

One step above is taking sounds and making them dangerous in a non “supernatural” way This means he can take sounds and make them dangerous based on their normal properties, such as volume, frequency, direction, speed, and pressure. By affecting volume, he can take even the quiet drop of a pin and turn it into an ear-splitting sound. Changing its frequency Zen can turn a dangerous high-volume sound into something that is inaudible, thus causing the effects of his non-visible sounds to seem to come from nowhere. This means that he can create infra and ultrasound. While infrasound is relatively harmless, the ultrasonic vibrations can be used to create vicious vibrations that can make even the sturdiest materials crumble, though it might take some time if it was made by a very good crafter (This is further explained in Timbre). An effect that this ultrasound can do is cavitation, which is voids that quickly pressurize causing extreme pressure and heat, resulting in a shockwave. This does not happen unless he uses ultrasound for a long period of time, and it can occur randomly. When changing direction Zen can move the sound in his area of influence, changing its trajectory. When this happens the sound forms into a semi visible stream, as the forced air distorts and bends light slightly. Changing the speed that which the sound travels, by itself doesn’t do much besides slowing down or speeding up the sound wave, but when combined with pressure is when things get different. When Zen changes the pressure at which the sound travels this increases the force that it has, essentially making sound a powerful force. When changing the pressure and speed of sound Zen can create wind, ranging from a gentle breeze to powerful gales. While not too complicated or taxing, using these abilities, such as creating a sustained gale, can slowly drain his energy.

Things start to get more draining when Zen creates his own waves to fight with. While he can control waves inside of his Illuminacion, when it comes to creating his own attack sounds he is limited to an area of 100 feet around his body. The waves can be pointed in any direction, but they are limited to 4 types: sphere, line, cone, and blade. They each have their own properties. Sphere creates an orb of sound around Zen. This orb can range in size from 10 feet in diameter, to 100 feet. A line burst can reach up to 250 feet away but can only be up to 10 feet wide. A cone can travel 100 feet and progressive gets larger as it travels, reaching a maximum of 50 feet wide. Blades are compressed waves of sound that Zen can control throughout his Illuminacion. Cone and sphere waves become weaker the more that they travel, only being 1/4 of their original strength when at their maximum reach. Line waves don’t lose their strength, but they can only be fired in one direction, and after being fired Zen cannot change its direction. Blades do not lose their strength, but Zen must concentrate on controlling them to keep moving them.

He does not need to be entirely focused to use this ability, but the more complex actions he takes the less he can concentrate on abilities that require concentration, such as Arpeggio.

Tempo Strike: With his sword gone Zen has focused on Hakuda, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t use his Zanpakutō as a dagger. By covering it in air and spirit energy he creates a very sharp blade. He basis his skill with this weapon off his Hakuda skill instead of Zanjutsu.

Iluminacion: This ability spreads out 500 feet around Zen. He can create touchable, semi-solid illusions. They are mostly used for Zen’s performances, but it can be used in battle to disorient opponents. An example would be him creating a wall, that feels like a wall, but when you apply any sort of extra pressure one would go through it.

This ability is mainly passive. The sphere of influence does not carry any constraints to maintain as, in essence, is just an area of effect. He can maintain only one or two illusions at a time. The size of one illusion cannot surpass 100 feet, total. That is he could make a 50 foot, by 50 foot wall (this has an area greater than 100 feet, but in this case what matter is distance over substance). He can combine illusions to make a larger one, but there will be a small, visible, gap between them. When someone, or something passes through and breaks the illusion it cannot be used for 2 posts. If they break just one Zen would only be able to use one illusion. An illusion cannot be changed during the same post, if Zen wishes to change it, he has to wait until he is in a new post to do so.

Illusions do not have to be singular objects. He could create hundreds or thousands of a single object if it is small enough. He could create 100 6 by 6 inch butterflies and have them fly around the area of effect.

Bianca: Condenses reiatsu in front of Zen to create a white shield in front of him that absorbs the next attack so that it deals only half of its damage. If Zen is much stronger than his opponent, it can negate the attack.

The shield is composed of standing wave. This wave arises when he opposes the resonance of his own spirit pressure with a sound wave. The wave is completely stationary, creating a strong, stable shield. When compared to Bakudo this would be in the range of #30. An attack that surpasses that level of strength passes through the barrier at half strength. If the attack surpasses #60 it bypasses the shield completely.

This ability can only be used every 4 posts. While it does not consume much internal energy, it does decrease his spirit pressure. After 4 posts his spirit pressure returns to his usual level.

Bemol: Zen fires a small orb of concentrated spirit energy that, if it hits its intended target they are shrouded by Zen’s spirit pressure. Due to this strong oppressive force it has similar effects to being in very close proximity to Zen. While its main purpose is to decrease the power of Kido by 5 numbers (thus turning a #20 to a #15, an essentially making anything less than #5 not work), it can cause effects such as fear, paralysis, stunning and pain. Since he still controls this pressure, he can attempt to make opponents feel these effects at will. The effects of this attack are dependent on the spirit pressure of the opponent. If they have a pressure greater than Zen’s the effects are much weaker, if it even works at all. If it works, it lasts for 2 posts. A target affected by this has a “b” hovering over their head.

This takes 5% of his internal energy to use. While it may not be a lot, due to his large internal reservoir, to some this amount of energy could be overwhelming. He can use this ability 2 posts after the effect ends, or 2 posts if he misses.

Sharp: Similar to Bemol, but it works in the opposite manner. In this case the energy that he sends out adds to the target’s own energy pool, strengthening their kido by 5, and increasing their spirit pressure for 2 posts. Other than that, it works the same as Bemol. A target affected by this has “#” over their head. He cannot use it on himself.

Staccato: Zen forms small orbs of spirit energy and sound at the tip of his baton and fires them in rapid succession. The rate of fire is 300 RPS (18,000 RPM) but the orbs do almost negligible damage on their own, but they have decent knockback if the target is hit constantly by them. This ability does not take much concentration to hold for a long period of time, for a maximum of 2 posts. He can use other abilities while he maintains this ability going. After he uses this continuously it has a cool down period of 1 post.

Tenuto: Zen creates slow moving bars of sound energy that home in on a target. While slow when they come into contact they create a deafening boom that causes moderate amounts of damage. If they do not hit something after 2 posts they will explode wherever they are.

Timbre: This gives Zen an acute sense of hearing, which allows him to be able to hear things from miles away, if he focuses on it. With even greater focus he could identify the resonance of objects.

An objects resonance depends on the material it is made from. When an object is exposed to a wave that has the same resonance it begins to sake violently and eventually break, shatter, or fall apart. The simplest example of this is when an opera singer hits the right pitch and shatters a glass. Objects of poor quality break much easier than those of higher quality. The better quality the object is the longer it takes for it to break, in some cases it could even be impossible to break them. Objects do not need to be exposed continuously to the sound wave to break, as each time they are exposed they take some damage. When the object breaks is subjective to its quality. An example would be that it would take less than one post for Zen to shatter a tree, a low-quality sword would take about the same time, while a Zanpakutō could take from 10 to 30 posts of constant exposure to break. Bankai cannot be broken using this ability.
Arpeggio: It allows Zen to use more than one Kido at the same time often causing them to combine into a kido that has the properties of the two or three kido used at the time. The incantation of the kido is spliced together to make a new incantation. Splicing kidos in this way require twice, or three times as long for it to be cast, leaving him open while he casts it. This also averages their level. If he wanted to combine #1 with #50, the resulting kido would be equal in strength to #25.

When combining them he cannot combine kido outside of their own class, he cannot combine Hadō with bakudo, though he can combine bakudo with healing kido if they have an area effect. He can attempt to combine kido that oppose each other, such as fire and water, but this has a high chance of failure. If he can combine them the kido created creates something new, such as mixing fire and water kido to make steam kido. Doing this takes concentration, the more kido he tries to combine, the more focus he has to have. He has been able to combine as much as 4 kido at one time. Combining Hadō is more complicated due to their more unpredictable nature. Bakudo are easier to combine as they are very structured and orderly.

Using this ability to splice two kido comes at an extra cost. When splicing 3 kido the number increases by 5 in cost, when splicing 4 it takes 10 more. When putting the kido together the energy goes up respectively depending of the average that is created. The energy needed to create the kido is 2x, 3x, or 4x the average cost. If he were to merge Hadō #10 and #20 it would cost 2x what #15 would be, but the strength would be equivalent to #15. If he were to combine #30, #40, #10, and #20 it would have the average power of #25, to that you add 10, so it becomes a #35, and then it becomes 35x4= 140. As the last example shows, the more kido are used the more diminishing returns you get, due to having a very high cost, but if the kido used include very low numbers the resulting kido would be fairly weak compared to the energy put into it.

Fermata: Using a combination of reiatsu and sound Zen creates a loud blast around him. Most projectiles that are in within 5 feet of Zen stop moving for 1 post. This effect follows him. If he moves from the position the projectiles will move once more, and any projectile he tries to send out are also stopped, meaning he cannot use projectile attacks for one post.
This blast actually indicates that he has essentially frozen his spirit pressure closest to his body. This ability locks him into place for the post, not being able to move via conventional means. The only way for him to exit this area is to flash step out of it, but doing so could cause him to take some damage from the projectiles. It has a cooldown of 1 post.

This ability is based off his Kido skill level. Those above his level, or its equivalent for other races, have no trouble bypassing this barrier.

I. Bankai

» Bankai Release Phrase: Obey! Shining Aurora!

» Bankai Appearance: Regardless of what he was wearing before his outfit changes into a white suit with a red tie, much like what Tenmei wears. His conducturs baton turns a deep red and his aura color changes to red.

» Bankai Abilities:

Concerto: Zen can now use his sound attacks from an origin point that is not him. He can create attacks that originate from an area within his Illuminacion range (500 feet). They still travel in the same shapes, but those that have a cone or line shape can be positioned at different angles.

Sound Cannon: Zen can capture non-physical attacks and fire them back. He does this by creating a circular wall of reiatsu and compressed air in front of him. This stops the attack and then Zen can release it forward. He can do this to absorb several attacks, but it has some drawbacks. While he does this he becomes immobile, as he has to lock himself in place to absorb he knockback from attacks as they suddenly stop. While there is no limit on how many attacks he can stop, the more attacks that he stops increase the load, eventually attacks can overload his ability to stop them, causing them to release their energy wildly around the area, hurting Zen and firing the energy randomly.

Crescendo: A cone shaped blast of reiatsu that empowers kido, and other reiatsu based attacks that travel in this area. This area is a 50 foot cone. Any spirit based attack that enters it is empowered by 1/3.

Diminuendo: Works in a similar way to Crescendo. This time he uses his spirit pressure to degrade kido that are targeting him. It travels in a cone shaped wave that reached out to 50 feet. Due to this shift in pressure, while this ability is used his back is exposed to attacks as his defenses are focused on his front. Strength of those attacks is reduced by 1/2.

This only affects attacks that are below his own Kido skill. Those at and above his skill are affected minimally, but are still affected by it to a small degree.
Simile: Zen can attempt to copy kido used by others to negate them. This mainly works for kido that he has already learned, that is he cannot cancel a kido that he hasn’t seen before. If he wants to cancel it, he must take some time to learn a bit about it. If he sees a new kido it takes 3 posts to be able to copy it, and 6 posts to be able to cancel it. This only works for kido that are open to everyone. It does not work for kido made specifically, or only known by one or a few select characters.

Marcato: V shaped projectiles composed of reiatsu and sound fly out and travel at a high speed and on contact creates 10 foot wide explosions. This is similar to Staccato. Its fire rate is much slower at 10RPS (60 RPM). The projectiles hae the strength of bullets, but their 10 foot explosions do not cause much damage, they essentially just create large knockback.

Silencio: Sound based attacks have a reduced effect on Zen. The strength of these attacks is reduced by 1/3.

Fortissimo: If Zen makes an attacks and yells fortissimo the effectiveness of the attack raises by 2x. This makes him give out a burst of energy, leaving him tired for 1 post after using this ability. Doing this makes the Kido cost 2.5x its original cost.

Lex Prailius' L-B models and Accessories (Complete)

Topics tagged under 50 on Bleach Platinum Hearts RP FrSC0tv

» Item Name: L-B Models
» Item Type: This is a personal piece of equipment that only listens to the commands of two people; Lex Prailius and Pyra Mind.

» Used For: This equipment is used for a combination of offensive, defensive, healing and supplementary techniques.

» Item Description: Lex will need to create each individual L-B model from scratch; there are 101 of them in total. They are little robots that serve and protect their creator and his destined lover by any means necessary.

» Obtained From: Once Lex starts creating them, I will be adding topics here for each and every successfully created L-B model.

» Yen Price: N/A
» Notes: I'm thinking that these L-B models will start off 1 tier lower than Lex's current rank (3-1++) and upon each time he levels up/rise in another tier, Lex works on them in-character to rise in level as well. If necessary, I will be willing to pay Yen or any other in-world currency that is required to make him update them accordingly each time.

Due to the nature of this creation, I will be striving to be making these bots a custom race within the immediate future for people to apply for, please keep this in mind when grading this. L-B Commander, Model #50 and Model #75 will already be reserved for special applicants.

L-B Models

L-B Model: Grunt

Spoiler:

Description: Small robots that are two feet and four inches in height that have a cutesy-like design, usually referred to as LEGO people. Note: they have a regular-hand design instead of the pinchers.
Color Scheme: Their head, hands, and buttons a dark blue color. The circle on top of their head, their body, arms, legs, and bottom of their feet being of a light gray color, and their arm joints, leg joints, and top of their feet being of a medium gray color.
Function: There are fifty of these robots that have been created and maintained to do remedial tasks and provide support on the battlefield. These robots are one of the easiest of Lex's creations, each one being of the same design besides a slight tweak in their personalities. Equipped with gray magic seals on various parts of their body from both inside and outside, X-Vision that allows them to have various different forms of sight (X-Ray, infrared, night vision, etc.) and can disassemble on a whim to optimize battle functions or deceive opponents. This means that their arms, legs, head, chest, hands, and feet can open up and have small blades and small tools within them which can be used for combat or reassembling into other models if necessary. Their programming grants them to assess situations, collect data, and most importantly, make decisions based on such situations. Finally, these robots are controlled by the Galaxy Engine HUD.

Processing Power- They are programmed with a fast processing unit, allowing them to assess situations, but still not give decisions at almost instantaneous moments. Like every other statistic with these bots, their processing power can become higher with an upgrade chip of the X-Chip series.

General Speed/Reflex- (Based on Skill Sheet: Adept) Like every other statistic with these bots, their general speed, reaction time and reflexive properties can become higher with an upgrade chip of the X-Chip series.

Durability- (Based on Skill Sheet: Adept) Like every other statistic with these bots, their durability can be increased with an upgrade chip of the X-Chip series. These bots have a unique regeneration ability however due to the mandatory L-Chip that allows them to function. Once destroyed (anything besides complete disintegration) the L-Chip will activate the surge of nanobots through their body, rebuilding whatever part of the body that is missing, making them nearly indestructible in design. This process takes 4 posts for each 'destroyed' bot to be repaired and functional again.

Strength- (Based on Skill Sheet: Beginner) Like every other statistic with these bots, their strength can be increased with an upgrade chip of the X-Chip series.

Weaponry- (Based on Skill Sheet: Adept) L-B models are very simple in their all-around design, allowing them to connect and mesh very simple and complicated tools with their frame to maximize their usefulness. From various hammers to drills, to gun barrels, to missile and grenade launchers, these little guys have a very large assortment of attachments that are ready for on-the-go missions that can detach and attach at a moment's notice. Each of the L-B models also have the Verillion hard-installed into their right arm, a piece of equipment that can block appropriate attacks once the device springs out from their arm. Each L-B models also has a set mechanism in the top of their head that acts as helicopter blades once the piece on the top of their head opens up, allowing them to survey areas with ease or maximize field control during battle.

Color Scheme: Their head, hands, and buttons a light gray color. The circle on top of their head, their body, arms, legs, and bottom of their feet being of a navy blue color, and their arm joints, leg joints, and top of their feet being of a deep blue color.
Function: There are fifty of these specific robots that Lex personally knows and keeps around his general vicinity at all given times. These robots have had a lot more work being put into it since they have been installed with personalities and A.I. programming meant for them to 'learn' and 'adapt' to situations. Equipped with gray magic seals on various parts of their body from both inside and outside, X-Vision that allows them to have various different forms of sight (X-Ray, infrared, night vision, etc.) and can disassemble on a whim to optimize battle functions or deceive opponents. L-B Model: Commander

L-B Models Commander- Description: A small robot that is two feet and four inches in height and has a cutesy-like design, usually referred to as LEGO people. Note: they have a regular-hand design instead of the pinchers.
Color Scheme: Its head, hands, and buttons being of a chrome color. The circle on top of its head, its body, arms, legs, and bottom of its feet being of a navy blue chrome color, and its arm joints, leg joints, and top of its feet being of a sapphire chrome color.
Function: There is only one of this particular bot that Lex personally keeps by his side at all given times. This robot has had the most work being put into it compared to the other sets since it has been installed with personality and A.I. programming meant for it to 'learn' and 'adapt' to situations and command and give orders to the other L-B model classes. Equipped with gray magic seals on various parts of its body from both inside and outside, X-Vision that allows it to have various different forms of sight (X-Ray, infrared, night vision, etc.) and can disassemble on a whim to optimize battle functions or deceive opponents. This means that their arms, legs, head, chest, hands, and feet can open up and have small blades and small tools within them which can be used for combat or reassembling into other models if necessary. Its programming grants it to assess situations, collect data, and most importantly, make decisions based on such situations and give orders according to those decisions. Finally, this robot is controlled by the Galaxy Engine HUD.

Processing Power- It is programmed with the fastest processing unit Lex could create, allowing it to assess situations, mathematically calculate all plausible things within that very moment, and give decisions at almost instantaneous moments. Like every other statistic with these bots, its processing power can become higher with an upgrade chip of the X-Chip series.

General Speed/Reflex- (Based on Skill Sheet: Adept) With most of Lex's focus being put into this robot regarding performance and intuition, it is designed to move with very quick intensity as well as pinpoint accuracy due to its processing power. The Commander’s credentials for being able to pass inspection is to not only hit various fast moving targets moving at the speed of sound or faster under extreme conditions, but be able to fight even some of the highest tier of beings by overwhelming them with intense aggression, pinpoint accuracy, and ridiculous speed. Its reaction time and accuracy is equivalent to anything that has the potential to be calculated within the field and then reacted to within plausible means. (TAS mode levels) Like every other statistic with these bots, their reaction time and reflexive properties can become higher with an upgrade chip of the X-Chip series.

This process takes 2 posts to be repaired and functional again.

Strength- (Based on Skill Sheet: Adept) This robot can lift up to a ton and is made up of various alloys and metals with various magical and spiritual condensing defense techniques, allowing it to take five to six good hits before exploding. It also has absorption tech built inside of it to absorb even the strongest of attacks for the appropriate time frame. (7 post cool down)

Weaponry- (Based on Skill Sheet: Beginner) L-B models are very simple in their all around design, allowing them to connect and mesh very simple and complicated tools with their frame to maximize their usefulness. From various hammers, to drills, to gun barrels, to missile and grenade launchers, these little guys have a very large assortment of attachments that are ready for on-the-go missions that can detached and attached at a moment's notice. Each of the L-B models also have the Verillion hard installed into their right arm, a piece of equipment that can block appropriate attacks once the device springs out from their arm. Each L-B model also has a set mechanism in the top of their head that acts as helicopter blades once the piece on the top of their head opens up, allowing them to survey areas with ease or maximize field control during battle.

Along with the specifications from the standard L-B Models, the L-B Models Commander is able to use Niosha Magic, due to having its A.I. program set to 'free will' most of the time, has the imagination capability of a living person and implements a curious personality while emulating emotions, the requirements to using Niosha Magic. This combination allows this robot to teleport items as well as use other magical abilities, but has a very low cap on how much it can do per fight due to its lack of true understanding of living beings and their emotions. It also has a special ammunition feed of 5.7x28mm rounds that are placed within the arms, legs, chest, back, hands and feet, allowing it to fire in all directions in a very rapid manner while twisting in the air in order to stay specifically in place, if the desired result is not to be pushed by the pressure of firing such large caliber rounds at such a high rate of fire.

I. Basic Information

» Name: Hannah Chiza
» Alias: The Deception! Glimmer Ginger

I. Racial Techniques/Abilities/Skills

» Racial Abilities: Gen-kido: While failing Zanjutsu, and Hakuda, finding it incredibly difficult to build up any degree of muscle mass, and only having a passing skill in Hoho, there was only one path left for Hannah to excel.

Oceanic Reiryoku pool: From as long back as could be remembered, Hannah’s Reiryoku has been vast, and with all that she has been through, it has grown to become something as broad and as deep as the oceans themselves.

[Hannah's Strength and Durability count at the bottom of whatever level she is on at the time]

High-Speed Incantation: A trick Hannah developed on the battlefield, when incantations were far too long for battlefield conditions.

This constant usage of and reliance on her Kido has led to a very potent, and very large pool of Reiryoku and a familiarity with Kido, a synchronicity unrivaled by most. With this, Hannah can use Kido #10 higher than the usual limit, (potentially enabling her to create Kido numbering in #100s with 0 tier power)

I. Sealed Powers

I. Sealed Powers

» Zanpakutô Name: Daisy

» Zanpakutô Appearance: Petite and unseeming, Daisy does not look like someone that would ever be noticed by anyone. Something she finds rather amusing when compared to Hannah's striking appearance. The question of why she looks so much like Hannah's old spirit is not brought up, they both understand exactly why that is, and it doesn't need to be said.

» Inner World: An infinite field of daisies are found in Hannah's inner world, where the sun is always bright but not too hot, and Daisy is always around to talk and support if she needs it. Sometimes, the air is filled with massive clouds of daisy seeds, blown on the wind in brilliant patterns. Sometimes, Hannah plays with the seeds herself, dancing along with the wind she blows as Daisy watches on.

» Sealed Zanpakutô Appearance: A pathetic physiology means that regardless of Hannah's actual skill in the art, her physical Zanpaktou is practically useless, so she uses her size control to keep it as a tiny sword-pendant around her neck.

» Sealed Zanpakutô Power: Blossom of Summer: Daisy can store and regulate Hannah's almighty reiatsu flow to an extent, taking some of the burden off Hannah and allowing her body to rest. This allows Hannah to recover her Reiryoku at a slightly quicker rate, as well as draw an emergency capsule of power in times of need. The store fills slowly however, and so she can only pull from it once a thread.

I. Shikai

» Shikai Release Phrase: "Grow for me, Daisy"

» Shikai Appearance: A simple Shikai, Daisy takes on a bright yellow shawl that wraps around Hannah's shoulders, and does not move for the most violent of gales.

» Shikai Abilities: Field of Flowers: Daisy can enhance the power of Hannah's Kido, Kaido, Gen-Kido, and Anima Mea by a considerable margin - roughly two times her base power - , refining and purifying the energy into it to increase the payload before firing it off like a cannonball shot.

Seeds of Next Summer: Daisy can 'store' one Kido, Kaido, Gen-Kido or Anima Mea within her. These stored abilities do not lose their potency, and so a chanted Kido can be stored to be released suddenly and unexpectedly, either blasting the enemy or trapping them in a more powerful prison than they expected.

I. Bankai

» Bankai Appearance: The Shawl grows into a full length dress, complete with wide-brimmed hat. They are bright white, and billow gently in an unseen wind.

» Bankai Abilities: Enhancing upon her Shikai capabilities, Hannah is further empowered to four times her base capability and can store a total of two Kidos within Daisy to be used when she needs. Further, she can rapid fire Kido without having to call them each time, a constant stream of fiew as long as she keeps the same spell going.

This is understandably dangerous for her prolonged unconsciousness even with Hannah's great skill and potency if she decides to launch off a dozen 88s, so it is more a tactical weapon than something to simply waste the entire country with.

The final ability is to dissolve the dress and hat into an endless storm of daisy petals, where upon Hannah can launch her Kidos from any petal in the swarm. This, along with the second power, can allow her to savage a foe with a wild storm of Kido. But this swarm-form only lasts three posts before blowing away on the wind, preventing her from releasing her Zanpaktou for the rest of the thread. As such, caution is required.

I. Natural Abilities

» Natural Abilities:

High Speed: Snopy is also quite fast on his own. As a result of his small frame, he is quite speedy. He has also done a lot of training in his speed. His reasoning is that since his small frame also makes him easy to damage if hit, that he should make it so he doesn't get hit. As such, he has learned to run at intense speeds in order to dodge and get an edge on his opponents. During his time searching for Kanna, he pushed his speed to new limits, forcing his body to endure well beyond it's old limits. After all, moving faster lets you cover more ground. As a result he is not only even faster than before, but he can maintain his high speeds for even longer than before.

Skilled Researcher: Part of what contributed to Snopy's intellect is his research ability. If Snopy comes across something he doesn't understand, he tends to, if possible, find a way to learn more about it. As such, he had knowledge in many subjects that one would not expect. If someone asks him about something and he can't answer, he goes to research until he can. He even has a decent amount of knowledge about many other races. He understands a lot about the way things work. He even has a small bit of machine knowledge at the moment. No matter what it is, if Snopy has access to information on it, he is capable of researching it. If he has no way to read up on it, he sometimes learns first-hand in some situations. He doesn't know everything, but he knows a lot considering he does research out of boredom at times.

Acute Perception: Snopy also has a ludicrous level of perception naturally. He was trained to use his senses when he was young, thus his eyesight, hearing, touch, and smell are all a little stronger than most. Combined with the slight augmentation he gets from his Zanpakutō it is quite difficult to sneak up on him unless you are skilled at that kind of thing.

I. Racial Abilities

» Racial Abilities:

Kidō: Never once, even in his long search, has Snopy neglected his Kido. His skill is immense, his training intense. He can wield both Bakudo and Hadō with immense precision and eloquence, adapting to any situation with the appropriate spell. He is able to wreak untold destruction, or create unheard of protection. During his travels, he's only grown stronger and more fierce. Some say he is a master. Some say he is more than that. He, however, doesn't care about labels, they're often wrong anyway. Kido is a tool, and an art. When he said he'd complete his goal by any means necessary, he meany any means.

Zanjutsu User: Snopy has often showed he has skill with a sword. He generally adapts his tactics in battle to use a combination of swordplay and Kidō. His swordplay is nowhere near his Kidō, but he can use his sword to some effect. One of his Zanpakutō's abilities even promotes the use of his blade, thus making him still use physical attacks at times, even with his power at energy techniques. He isn't the best, but he isn't stupid when it comes to a sword.

Hakuda: Snopy isn't good at Hakuda. It isn't that he can't learn it, he just puts too little focus to take it anywhere. He isn't completely ignorant. He knows the basics, but little more than that. The only people he can outdo are people with NO hand to hand training at all. Other than that, he is at a disadvantage in Hakuda fights (when all other factors are excluded). Snopy has pondered the possibility of switching to Hakuda over swordplay. Once he gains more control of his Zanpakutō's ability, he might be able to augment his Hakuda attacks much like he augments his blade. However, until then, Snopy opted not to switch as it would be more of a hindrance at the moment.

Hoho: Snopy is skilled at Hoho. As he generally uses it to augment his already fast speed, Shunpo is often used. Though there is still room to be refined, his Shunpo is quite useful for him. He has also shown he has always been naturally skilled at Hoho, as in the past he rather effortlessly learned to stand on air/water.

In his attempts to search for Kanna, he pushed his Hoho, like his speed, as hard as he could in order to utilize it for his search. While it is still not anywhere near his Kido, the effectiveness of his Hoho has increased greatly over his search.

I. Sealed Zanpakutō

» Zanpakutō Name: Tsuin megami reijingu (Raging Twin Goddesses)

» Zanpakutō Spirit Appearance: The perky half

Fumiko is a somewhat large chested girl who stands at about 5'1 and weighs somewhere around 100 pounds. Fumiko has the look of a teenager around 16 or 17. She is somewhat innocent looking and tends has an extremely attractive body. She has long bright blue hair which either extends down her back or, more often, is in a large ponytail that is off to the side. Her eyes, like her hair, are a bright blue.

Fumiko tends to be a happy person. As such, her movements are as such. She is always seen with a smile on her face. She tends to move around energetically, sometimes skipping around. This makes people who see her generally see just how hyper she can be.

She tends to wear revealing outfits. She is as innocent as can be, but she likes to show off her body a little. Thus the dresses she wears generally cover minimal amounts of skin on her arms and legs. When she wears something that isn't a dress, she wears a tank top and a skirt or shorts. Most of the time a bit on underwear is showing. Some of her outfits tend to show off her cleavage a bit. Clothing like this is one of the causes for her arguments with her sister.

The calm half

Reiko is a small chested girl who stands at about 5'7 and weighs somewhere around 120-130 pounds. Her bodily features are all around feminine as one would expect from a female, looking around age 25. Her body is an extremely attractive one. She has long black hair that extends down to about half-way down her back. Her eyes are a dark brown.

Reiko always has a serious look plastered on her face. She never really shows much emotion in her actions or face. When she walks, it is always graceful. She never walks like she is depressed, she never walks with energy as if she is happy. The grace shows the content nature of her personality. This makes her look rather elegant in most people's eyes.

It is nearly impossible for anyone to see a large portion of her body (and the beauty within) because she hides it with clothing. She doesn't wear anything revealing, nor anything that highlights her attractive aspects. Her cloths generally are made up of a long sleeved shirt and pants. Very little exposure of her skin in her clothing. She prefers to keep it that way, as she doesn't like to go flaunting things like Fumiko and Ayako do. Still, even with the outfits, she still has an air of elegance around her.

» Zanpakutō Spirit Personality: The hyperactive half: Fumiko goes around and always seems to have a smile on her face. She is indeed quite a cheerful person. Sadness isn't something she is too familiar with, and simply being content isn't enough for her. If she isn't happy, she feels something is wrong. This lighthearted attitude tends to show itself in her voice and movements. If she isn't happy, she is either upset or bored.

She is also quite energetic about it. She seems to have a lot more energy than someone her size needs, so she tends to move quickly. She runs around occasionally, she jumps around a lot, and anything that seems to show an excess in energy reserves. This especially shows in her voice. Fumiko talks loudly, really loudly. Her voice is somewhere in-between loud and yelling. It isn't quite yelling (most of the time), but it certainly isn't quiet.

Fumiko is what we could call "trigger happy". When there is a problem, her answer is (almost) always to blow it up. If there is something to fight, she wants to go all out. When Snopy fights she always tries to get him to blow things up. She likes using that kind of power, almost as much as she likes explosions. She isn't dumb though. If Snopy is upset with someone he cares about she won't tell him to "blow them up." She won't tell him to blow up random things, especially in a city or town. She does not want to commit murder.

Fumiko is actually a rather kind person at heart. She doesn't like needless death, just like Snopy. She is also protective of Snopy and even the people Snopy cares about. She cares about Snopy's friends and family through extension. She really does care for their well fare, as well as her sister's. When one of them is in trouble, she can show actual concern on her face rather than joy. However, if she feels things are going to end well, she will be extremely happy as usual. An example is when Snopy is in trouble, but someone cones to help and she feels the battle is going to be a win.

She is extremely attached to Snopy. At times when he is in his inner world she will hug and cling to him. It is a sort of cute attachment, like one a little sister would give to a brother she was attached to. She tends to talk to Snopy a lot as, to her, he is the easiest person to talk to. In truth, she sees her wielder as her big brother, and spends a lot of time interacting with him. This sister-like attitude is often returned with a brother-like attitude.

As for her sister, her relationship is rather rough. Fumiko isn't exactly a hothead, but she doesn't see eye to eye with her sister. Reiko thinks Fumiko is too loud and rash. This often upsets Fumiko, who will begin yelling and arguing rather quickly. As such the two argue constantly, and always seem to be upset with each other. However, Fumiko does love her sister deep down. If something is wrong, she will worry about her. When Snopy can keep their tempers down, she can actually be quite caring towards her sister.

She, however, has no love for Ayako (Snopy's inner hollow). She finds her annoying, seeing as Ayako teases her a lot out of boredom. This causes her to yell at Ayako, which only causes more teasing. Much of said argument is based around Ayako constantly talking about her looks, which Fumiko believes hers are better. Fumiko often drags Snopy in the middle to say who looks better, though he always declines an answer (seeing as he avoids such arguments). She also gets extra protective of Snopy when Ayako is around, feeling like he isn't safe.

The calm half: Reiko is a fairly calm individual. She generally has a "matured" look about her. Her face has generally more of a content look to it rather than a pleased or upset one. Reiko doesn't really get upset about much. Her calm demeanor prevents her from being affected by much. As such, even in arguments she sounds as if she were talking normally. Her facial expression almost never changes.

She has a bit of a dignified aura about her. Her movements are somewhat elegant in nature, not too energetic or sloppy. This is somewhat betrayed by her clothing, which is usually rather plain. Reiko prefers not to show off, unlike others around her to like to flaunt what they have. This in itself adds a bit of dignity to her. Though she dresses plainly, she does have a little sense of appearances. Still, she heavily disagrees with those around her that do flaunt their bodies.

Her attitude is the opposite of her sister's. She prefers to avoid fighting if it isn't necessary. If an opponent can be peacefully subdued, she would prefer it be done that way. When force muse be used, she prefers to use her energy conservatively. As such, she uses it slowly to constantly keep herself augmented in some way. A large attack can miss, but an augmentation takes little energy and has many chances to show itself to be useful. In her mind, it is better that the opponent be the one worn out, not her.

Despite her rather stoic attitude, she does also care for those around her. She does not generally show it in her voice or her motions like her sister. Rather, just what she says has a slightly kinder inflection and other minor changes that show those that know her she does care. She is not good at comforting others, and has trouble coming up with a sympathetic voice. Still, she wishes to help Snopy and any who make him happy.

She shares a somewhat different relationship with Snopy than Fumiko. She shares more of a mature friendship with him, resulting in calm conversations with him. He is the only person she has access to talk to commonly whom she can have a relaxed, intelligent conversation with. She also enjoys the compliments she receives from him, as his nature generally causes him to say nice things to people around him. She will never show it, but she can get quite flattered.

With her sister things are different. Fumiko's loud voice and careless attitude gets on her nerves. It isn't odd to hear Reiko telling her to lower her voice or to mature up. When she argues, she generally retains her calm demeanor and often times has some kind of clever retort. In the end though, her and her sister are similar in their inner feelings. Reiko indeed loves her sister, she just isn't good at showing it. She shows she cares the best she can, even if it is hard to tell at times.

Towards Ayako she actually looks to in a combination of dislike and intrigue. She wants to know more about what makes Ayako tick, so she actually attempts to get along with her. Still, she does dislike her and would prefer she stay away from her sister and Snopy. Reiko is intelligent, she knows the danger, and is not going to let her intrigue blind her judgement of a situation. Still, she has actually had some conversations with the hollow when she wasn't being teased constantly for her conservative dress code.

» Inner World: Snopy’s inner world is divided into a few segments. The main two segments are cut half down the middle. On the west side there is a pink hue in the sky. This side is more controlled by the more serious half of his Zanpakutō. On the East side there is a purple hue, representing the more hyperactive (and trigger-happy) half. The reason for this is simply the fact that the two halves of the Zanpakutō don’t get along. As a whole, Snopy’s inner world resembles the wilderness. There are patches of forest, rivers, occasionally lakes, even marshes if one was to search hard enough. Snopy’s inner world is vast, as there is quite a bit of wilderness to be explored.

Though the wilderness transitions smoothly from one side to the next, it is not so with the weather. In the sky, the colors do not fade as they approach, they simply collide, a line where the color suddenly shifts. On the ground this is also evident. On the calmer side, weather appears to generally be calm, the breeze is gentle, and the rivers flow smoothly. However, the moment they cross that invisible line, to the more active side, it becomes the opposite. The wind is often quite powerful, the weather is somewhat unpredictable, and the river instantly begins to flow violently.

To top it off, to the north, there is an area that seems much different. The sky is much darker, the lighting itself is less, and there is a strange dark feel about it. Both halves of the Zanpakutō agree that something sinister is brewing, but that any attempt to stop it would likely be futile. As such, they avoid the area and advise Snopy to do the same. (that area is where the yet to reveal itself inner hollow is going to be).

» Sealed Zanpakutō Appearance: The Zanpakutō's blade is the size of a regular katana and is a deep black. The hand guard is like that of a regular katana. The handle is black with pink colored cloth around it. The second blade is the same, but with purple cloth on the handle.

» Sealed Zanpakutô Powers: Increased Perception: Snopy’s time from being a marksman when alive tuned a small portion of his spiritual energy to his various senses. The energy empowers his eyes a bit, allowing him to see a little further and clearer. It empowers his hearing so he can hear even the most minute sounds, even someone stepping across soft ground. His sense of touch is increased, allowing him to feel slight vibrations in his feet and through the air (though this also increases pain felt by just a little bit). His sense of smell is increased a bit so if he picks up a smell, he can tell what direction it came from. Due to its uselessness in combat, his sense of taste is unaffected.

I. Shikai

» Shikai Release Phrase: Let the energy flow, Tsuin Megami Reijingu

» Shikai Release Actions: N/A

» Shikai Appearance: One of the blades does not change in appearance, it simply gets about 4 inches longer. This is the Katana with the Pink at the hilt. The other however, morphs itself into a small black pistol. All across the gun are almost veins, lines running along all parts of the gun. These “veins” will glow a deep purple before fading back into its regular color. This glow and fade almost gives it a futuristic look.

» Shikai Abilities:

Energy Augmented Sword: The sword Snopy uses in Shikai is constantly covered in a layer of energy. This is due to the sword being the manifestation of his Zanpakutō’s controlled side, which believes in constant augmentation. During the fight with his inner hollow, Snopy pushed this ability to new levels. It was formerly a rather weak ability, however after being pushed to the limit he learned to control this power more. A layer of energy envelopes the blade at all times while released. This adds to the power of the blade. This allows it to slice through objects with more ease. A clean hit on unprotected skin can cause a pretty bad cut on many people. It slices through skin with relative ease, and even improves Snopy's ability to penetrate Hierro like abilities. Snopy's left arm is also constantly enveloped in energy, causing a moderate reduction in damage to that arm.

Shikai Pistol: The pistol Snopy wields is capable of firing out blasts of pure energy. At the pull of a trigger, these blasts can be released at varying size and power. The gun collects energy generated from Snopy's body (and tiny amounts of energy from the air over time) and uses it to create said blasts. Snopy refined his skill with this ability during his fight with his inner hollow as well. As of now, he can fire blasts that can rival a Cero. He can fire out smaller blasts with much less drain and much faster than before as a result of this improvement. With practice he has grown stronger, able to fire off 4-5 Cero-like blasts in a short period of time. Firing 1 or 2 more in that short period is possible, but it will tire him out. He can choose what to unleash. Should he want to unleash a single devastating volley he can, or he can space out his shots for a consistent barrage.

While this has an opposite balance to his energy manipulation (below) where he uses more ambient energy than his own, his guns specifically drawing from his own body gives them a distinct advantage. A lot more punch direct punch. You can see it coming, it goes in a straight line, but lord do not let it hit you if it's a single concentrated blast. It's still not a good idea to be struck by the volleys though, as unless you take minimal damage or have high pain endurance, getting hit by one shot may mean taking the rest.

Overall Augmentation: The battle with his inner hollow pushed all aspects of his body to new levels. His Shikai has begun to show an overall improvement to all his abilities. All skills show a small boost in their capabilities when Snopy enters Shikai (about a 1.2x boost). Snopy still excels in his Kidō, which actually gives his Kidō skill a higher augmentation (about 1.5x boost). Overall, when Snopy enters Shikai he is a bit more dangerous to deal with. He can move a little faster, hit a little harder, and take a bit more damage.

Energy Manipulation: The main power of Snopy's Zanpakutō. This power showed itself in minute ways with Snopy's gun and sword, but only manifested when Snopy was able to push himself to his absolute limit. Snopy has the power to manipulate pure energy in his Shikai. What that means, is that he can take control of energy and reishi within the environment and manipulate it to his will. He can condense it into a solid form to attack or defend, and manipulate it free form. In fact, with a little imagination, a lot could be done. This energy can technically be any type, though the only type it is meant for is Reishi. Thus, it takes extra energy to manipulate non-Reishi energy types.

Now that being said, it doesn't mean he has infinite energy to work with, even if he is using the ambient energy in the environment. Manipulating such latent energy still takes energy of his own to assert control over it. However, this does result in an incredibly efficient energy to power conversion. When he sends a wave of raw destructive force at you, it isn't his energy, his energy is just controlling it. Even worse, he doesn't need to physically move at all in order to direct this energy as he chooses. He could choose to be standing perfectly still and still unleashing barrages from various angles. Should he choose to, he can direct with physical motion, making it more telegraph-able, assuming you're on a level powerful enough to follow it.

This being said, this move's greatest counter is something that can break the connection he has to the environment. A massive overpower in control for instance, where another person overpowers or simply disrupts the connection, can render this useless until Snopy manages to reassert control. Not many can pull this off, but those who can can seriously screw up Snopy's flow. Another counter is that compared to the much more direct and easy to follow blasts from his gun, these tend to be weaker. To assert more power, he has to direct more of his own energy in controlling the ambient energy. This means that the efficiency is massively reduced against people who could tank (via barriers or otherwise) the energy otherwise. Likewise, if he wants more speed in his attacks he also needs to assert more of his own power.

Overall, his intense training over the last few years have massively increased the strength and versatility of this ability, but he needs to be incredibly intelligent with how he uses it if he ever faces an opponent who is his equal or greater. Those who can dodge or tank the basic hits of this ability will force him to put more into his attacks. Plus, more refined shapes (like a spike or spear which will naturally have more puncturing power) take much more energy than just sending a tidal wave of energy. Likewise, in Shikai he can't take control of several large masses of energy, or several refined shapes. He can hit you from many angles at once with the more raw form, but anything with punch and control can only be from one to three sources, three being fairly taxing with the exception of one technique.

Critical Mass: An ability derived from his energy manipulation, Snopy can repeatedly condense the energy in an area into a small space until eventually it reaches critical mass and explodes outwards, creating a massive explosion at the location. The ability takes 10-15 seconds to complete and as the energy at the location increases, the air around it will distort more and more and the air will begin to crackle. Right before it goes off it is incredibly easy to spot, while as he starts there is no sign at all. The severity of the signs scale exponentially, making the first 5 seconds hard to notice unless the person detects the energy build up, and the last 3-5 seconds insanely noticeable giving anyone in the vicinity the hint to get the hell out. The explosion is large enough to level a few city blocks once it goes off. Due to how easy it can be to detect, it's usually better to pin them down so they can't move and then try and charge this move up. And usually only use it when going for the kill.

Make it Rain: This is the one way he can make large quantities of refined powerful attacks with his manipulation, this technique is simple. Condense energy above a large 250 foot radius into hundreds of needles, and drop them down on the target location. This attack can be considered point blank, but really as long as he is physically touching the target area (which is always circular) he can set up the attack. Therefore, he can be at one edge and the center is 125 feet in front of him. This move can cause widespread destruction, but is mostly for a difficult to dodge attack or for clearing crowds of weaker enemies. The sharpness of the energy used makes them good at puncturing light armors and things such as the masks of hollows. There is space in-between the spikes for people who aren't overwhelmingly large to slip between to avoid damage, so it also works best against large targets.

I. Bankai

» Bankai Name: 天の女神 (Ten no Megami) Heavenly Goddesses

» Bankai Release Phrase: (What does your character say in order to release their Bankai? This is optional. For example, you could have the phrase relate to their power set, or just simply have them say Bankai.)

» Bankai Release Actions: N/A

» Bankai Appearance: The sword is now just a hilt, with the blade being made up of pure energy. The gun is largely the same but now has glowing "veins" that run along the gun, giving merely an aesthetic to it. At a basic level, it looks rather unimpressive.

» Bankai Abilities:

Energy Sword: During Bankai Snopy's blade from Shikai is no longer coated in energy, it is pure energy. As a direct result it's sharper and far more dangerous to be slashed by. It can cut through flesh like a hot knife through butter, assuming it's not fortified flesh. This power makes Snopy's lower strength less relevant, as the same damage can be done with less power. The blade functions similar to a proper physical blade though, and if it strikes something like another sword it will stop like normal. It simply functions like a much more devastating blade. The downside being anything that can dampen or destroy spiritual energy highly counter it. Still, combined with Snopy's agility this allows his physical blows to still be dangerous.

Bankai Pistol: His Bankai, pushing the powers of his Shikai to new limits, is now capable of far more powerful bursts and volleys. He can fire off many many Cero-like blasts in quick succession before growing tired, and unlike before he can fire them as a volley and doesn't need to repeatedly pull the trigger for successive blasts. He can still fire off volleys of weaker shots, now firing in immensely high quantities.

Still the attack that packs more punch, the devastation this is capable of outputting is immense. In fact, it is now capable of a new feat. Charging up for 5 seconds, this pistol can now unleash a massive single blast liable to demolish anything and everything in it's path that can't take it's force, with a diameter the size of a highway. He can also change the direction he is aiming up to half a second before firing it, at which point he needs to steady the gun to maintain the beam's integrity and keep it from failing and being little more than a glorified Cero with a hell of a wind up time. Therefore if something screws him up in that last second, forcing him to move, it will stop the beam from being devastating (unless you still stand in it's path). Usually he'll get down on one knee with both hands on the gun in order to withstand the kickback. Otherwise accuracy will suffer.

Overall Augmentation: Similar to his Shikai, his Bankai also augments his abilities. All his abilities now boast a whopping 1.5x power and his Kido further boasts a doubled potency. Fully utilizing such extra power does run the risk of tiring him out sooner than otherwise if he keeps it up for too long, but the increase in potency is otherwise only a benefit.

Energy Manipulation: Maintaining the power from his Shikai, it only becomes more powerful in his Bankai. The speed, power, and quantity of attacks that he can launch has massively increased. No longer is he limited to just one to three sources of more controlled and refined attacks. He can effectively unleash an onslaught from any direction. He could surround someone with spikes and then make them all converge, impaling them from all sides unless they slipped through or deflected some of them and escaped through the gap.

In fact, by utilizing his immense knowledge of Kido, he has learned how to cast spells from locations other than his body by manipulating the energy of the environment to form the spell for him. Many rules, such as how incantations work, still apply, and as a cost for casting the spell off of his body, the Kido costs a whopping 1.5x as much to cast. Combined with the doubled potency in Bankai (which naturally draws on more energy) more powerful Kido can be very taxing to cast and thus spamming them tends to be a sub-par idea.

Finally, he can now do some incredibly micromanaging. Whereas in Shikai he can only focus with physical motion on one set of energy, he can now delegate up to 5 separate instances to his movements. To put this in perspective, he can use the motions of each of the 5 fingers of his hands to control a different attack. He has been unable as of yet to do more than 5 though, with his goal to eventually be able to use all 10 of his fingers.

That being said, all of his previous counters still apply, albeit things like cutting off his connection to ambient energy being mildly more difficult now. With his Bankai, forcing him into undesired motion is even more important as fine control is harder if his body is also moving in relation to the attacks themselves. Likewise, while he has such overwhelming force in his Bankai, even with his boosted attributes he is still relatively frail and only has moderate physical strength, making him a glass cannon.

I. Inner Hollow/Mask

» Inner Hollow Name: Ayako

» Inner Hollow Description: Ayako is strange, as she looks nothing like one would expect a hollow to look. Her body is nothing more than that of an 18 year old girl. Her frame is quite small. She probably doesn't weigh much at all. She is only about 5'2 feet tall, making her rather short as well. There is absolutely nothing menacing about her. In fact, many people would find her attractive.

Her most notable feature is probably her hair. It is a bright red color and extends down her back. It actually makes her rather hard to miss. It is usually done in a large ponytail. Her eyes are also red. They aren't bright, the color is almost dull, but they somehow add to her cute innocent look. Her bust isn't very large, probably being about a B cup. Her legs are a bit long (comparatively speaking to most her height), and adds to her attractiveness.

She always wears something simple. She has something akin to a one piece sweater. It has long sleeves, reveals her upper chest a bit, and goes down slightly past her underwear. This leaves her legs mostly exposed, and depending on how she sits her underwear may peak out a bit. She has black socks that go somewhat up her calf. All of this is to make her look extra attractive, as being a tease it one of her past-times. Her appearance is likely a result of the hollow energy that came from Snopy's mother, which in the long run caused his Vizardification.

» Inner Hollow Personality: Ayako has little of the blind aggression many of her kind are known for. In fact, the main aspect of her personality may be based off seduction. She is a huge tease with anyone she can be, which is usually Snopy. Her voice is cute when she speaks, but it generally has seductive undertones. In fact, it wouldn't be much of a surprise if she was actually trying to get somewhere with this routine.

Often times she tries to trick Snopy into somehow giving up his body. Rather than brute force it like the first time, she tries to somehow fool him into making a mistake. Granted with a mind like his that is particularly difficult. This leaves her relying on the brute force method, which over the last 5 years his control has left difficult to do. If he finds himself in great emotional turmoil, such as when Kanna vanished, she tries to take over. So far she has not been successful but until he has full control over her, it will always be there. She is a bit confused at the kindness that Snopy shows to her however, as he usually tries holding conversations with her despite her attempts.

Ayako ends up being oddly passive when not actively attacking Snopy when he shows an opening as a direct result of this kindness, and it leads to some interesting conversations between her and his Zanpakuto spirits. Still, this passiveness does not lighten up the relentless assaults an inner hollow will attempt to exert on their host.

» Inner Hollow Powers:

Electrical Manipulation: Similar to Snopy, his inner hollow controls a form of energy. However, rather than control the spiritual forms of energy, Ayako controls electrical energy. While it isn't as free and potent as Snopy's energy manipulation, Ayako can blast a target direction with enough voltage to fry an entire power grid, sending a massive blast of (red) electricity. On top of just sending out simple blasts of electricity, she could just grab you by the face and unload that voltage directly into your body if you couldn't break free. This power is simple but effective.

Binding: Being one who is seductive and would much rather have an easy kill via a trap than a head on fight, Ayako can actually loop electricity around a target within 15 meters, solidify it, and close it in, binding them as a group of 5 tightened rings. It is difficult to break free, and failed attempts are prone to electrocute the target, weakening them and making future escape attempts even harder. She's a bit of a sadist after all.

» Hollow Mask Appearance: Snopy's mask is a rather simple one. It doesn't manifest as a full mask per say. His mask actually manifests as an eye-patch over his right eye. Rather simple, though hard as any other vizard mask, this leaves him with one prime advantage. He has no obstruction to his vision in the other eye. Despite looking small it is quite durable so a single hit to the eye won't necessarily just nullify the mask unless it is quite powerful.

» Vizard Powers: Depth Perception: Oddly, despite one eye being covered by the mask, while his mask is donned Snopy has no loss of depth perception, keeping his aim in peak condition.

Cero/Bala: Snopy's specialty in energy makes his firing off Cero come quite naturally to him. He can charge it up nice and quickly, and fire it at quite a decent pace. He's been cautious with how often he trains his Vizard powers without the help of people like Shadin so it isn't quite as powerful as it could be, but it can still pack quite the punch. Snopy's Cero still requires him to take a stance, either having him casually raise up his hand to about shoulder height, palm in, and charging it off the back of his hand, or simply pointing and charging it off the tip of his finger if he's being more serious.

Augmentation: Snopy's overall attributes are boosted. His speed, durability, and strength all increase. Unlike his Zanpakuto releases the boosts to his weaker stats like durability and strength are a bit more meaningful, being nicely buffed. He's still relatively squishy, but he's far less easy to one shot when he goes all out. His speed receives a greater boost, making him even faster. Also the surge of energy actually makes his energy manipulation from his releases stronger as well, but due to being hollow powers the boost is in raw force rather than refinement and control. Simply put he can output a little more power with his releases, though by no means is it a direct buff to the ability and more of an indirect one.

I. Equipment/Other Resources

» Equipment:

Name Of Item: Stage Three Healing Gem
Info: The Stage Three Healing Gem is a red triangle shaped does everything stage one and two does, but it increases the rates of it. For example, instead of refreshing reitsu at 15%, The Stage Three Healing Gem increases that to 25%, heals the user within a half post and erases all poisons. The Stage Three Healing Gem also can heal up to two people at a time, though you must wait two post for it to be a good level; It can also create a small, invisible barrier in order for the user to be protected during this process. (Though it is easy to destroy once you figure it out) And finally, it also capable of healing more intense injuries such as head trama, damage to internal organs and lack of blood.

Name Of Item: Telepathic Gems x12 (one currently given to Kanna)
Info: The Telepathic Gems are small, tear shaped crystal gems that are used for communicating telepathically. By simply giving a friend or group member a pair of these gems, you will be able to contact them with your mind. A slight buzzing sound will appear in the persons mind and they have the choice to either accept or deny your connection. If they accept, you two will be able to converse until you decide to disconnect.

Name Of Item: 2x Power Boost Gem
Info: The Power Boost Gem is a needle shaped gem that you inject into your body. During the course of five post, all of your abilities, skills and tier will increase by one level. After that period, the gem will have a ten post cooling and you are only able to use it three times per thread. If you do it a fourth time, the gem WILL shatter into pieces and even damage your body if you over do it. Please only use this when you have enough reitsu, energy or health to sustain yourself. Otherwise, you'll just end up hurting yourself. You can also only use TWO gem at a time in order to increase the effects by two times (Though not the posting length). Trying to get more then that will simply damage your body.

Name Of Item: Barrier Gem
Info: The Barrier gem is a small black gem in a circle shape that, when activated telepathically, will create a strong barrier that is about one hundred feet wide powerful enough to block even attacks up to 0 tier for five post. After the fifth post, it will shatter and have a two post cooling period before it is usable. It is also possible to run away while within the barrier, but not attack.

Name Of Item: Energy Revolvers
Info: These pistols look like nothing more than regular revolvers on the outside. The pistols do not fire regular bullets, but bullets of condensed energy gathered from its user, making them rather useless if one is completely powerless. They take on the power of the user, meaning if the user was a 0-4, the bullets can be fired with the power of a 0-4. The user can also adjust the output of the gun, making them able to make the bullets any strength from almost nothing all the way up to their tier level.

The energy leaves in the shape of a bullet, but the user may make the energy less condensed, which will not only lower the power of the bullet itself, but give a wide radius of damage, possibly leaving a giant hole in an object it fired through (imagine firing at a wall of a house and a several foot wide hole being created on more extreme powers). Since the user can fire repeatedly, and it is fueled by their energy, it also drains energy from the user. However, since the revolvers can store energy over time, the first shot fired from each pistol (in a thread) will cost no energy, as it built over time (does not apply if the threads take place very shortly after one another).

Finally, their construction makes them extremely durable, able to absorb most powerful attacks that are below 2 tier. However, if the user is stronger than that, then the gun takes on the durability of the user's Zanpakutō (or what it would be if they had one). Finally, it is synced up to its user. That way, no one can get their hands on it and use it unless they find some way to decode the gun's mechanisms and remove Snopy's energy from it.

Check here for how said equipment was obtained.

I. Custom Kido

Custom Kidō

Name: Derutabīmu (Delta Beam)
Type: Offensive
Number: For Snopy's use only (unless taught by him)
Effects: The user holds out their index and their middle finger as energy begins to build near the tip. Energy would gather to his hand from three places, forming an equilateral triangle from each other (three small lines of energy that are 4 inches long would be coming off his fingers, with the energy moving towards his fingers). Upon releasing the spell a beam of purple energy twice as large as a Byakurai is fired. The spell can be used to strike a target. However, should the caster so choose, the beam can split in a triangular fashion into three beams. These beams would be 1/3 the size of the beam unless used by a Master in Kidō, in which they would each be 1/2 the size of the beam. Grand Master strength in Kidō could have each of the split beams have 2/3 the original size. The beams would be about 6 inches apart from each other and form an equilateral triangle. They would slam into, and possibly pierce through, an opponent.
Incantation: Gather from the abyss, the three centers of power. Merge into one as you prepare for the inevitable moment, in which you will be once again divided and returned to three.

Name: Sentaku-teki Hogo (Selective protection)
Type: Defensive
Number: For Snopy's use only (unless taught by him)
Effects: This spell does not require a motion. It is a barrier spell, in which, upon casting, a pink barrier is raised. It is a half sphere around a 10 foot radius (naturally 20 feet in diameter). It has the ability to block moderately powered attacks. As per Snopy's design, it is selective in what is blocked however. The barrier blocks both physical entities as well as energy attacks. However, up to 5 people of the caster's choice, themselves not included, are ignored by the barrier. They can pass through it quite simply, however only weak energy attacks of theirs will be ignored by the barrier. Anything of moderate or higher strength will strike at it and risk breaking it. This barrier can last for up to 6 posts (unless damaged, then time shortened) if only the caster is allowed through. If 1-2 others are allowed through shortens it to 4 posts. Anything above is 2 posts. If the caster puts all their focus on the barrier it can withstand a bit more. Otherwise, it is actually fairly self-sufficient. This is a draining spell, so one must be quite skilled with Kidō to be able to use it and not tire. Even then the spell takes practice, and it would take immense conditioning to even think of using it twice in a thread without becoming exhausted. Snopy developed the spell so he could create a place for his allies to retreat to to catch their breath and be able to enter and leave at will, though as a consequence he will use up much of his own energy. With enough force, this barrier will shatter. If simply damaged the posts it can remain up will drop. Due to its methods it is not fit for solo combat, and is mostly good for protecting weaker members of a group. On a final note, while the spell is active the caster is completely immobilized, since the barrier is not simple to create in the first place.
Incantation: Rise up, and take on my will. Allow those deemed worthy your access, and prevent others from dealing harm. Encircle us, protect us, and allow us a chance at rest, so that we may begin afresh.

Name: Tan'itsu no Hogo (Single Protection)
Type: Defensive
Number: For Snopy's use only (unless taught by him)
Effects: This spell is a version of Sentaku-teki Hogo adapted for combat purposes. The user raises their hand up in front of them when casting, though a skilled used can do it without such motion. It forms a pink rectangular barrier to form in front of the user. It can be up to 10 feet tall and 8 feet wide. This spell is simply a powerful barrier. Nothing can pass through it and it can block moderate to moderately powerful spells. The power of the spell is entirely dependent on the user. Should the user be a low level it will be fairly weak, while a Master user can have it reach the strength of a Danku (it would reach this strength should one actually be able to use Danku). In the end, this is merely a modified Barrier spell.
Incantation: Rise up, and take on my will. Block off all access, as none are worthy of penetrating your defenses.
Notes: It is a rather versatile spell, seeing as it can be used by anyone with Kidō experience (if Snopy chose to teach them). Its strength it determined by the highest level Kidō spell usable. If the highest is Kidō #10, then it will be weak. If the highest is Kidō #50, it will be moderate. This applies all the way up to Danku, at which point this is a modified Danku, though it would require a tiny bit less energy to perform than a Danku.

High Flying Battle! The Sealed Training! [Viz/Zen] [FINISHED AND CLOSED]

Zen stood watching as the winds kept blowing. It was quite effective as it did blow the man back, and it did cause his abilities to shut down. This was probably going to be either a short or long battle. He could try to subdue him consciously, or make him go unconscious. Restraints failed the first time, and with the winds blowing his own kido would be negated, unless they were stronger than #50. Henrex's body also seemed confused at the utterance of his special kido. He could take advantage of this confusion. It was time to pull out another of his trump cards. As he thought about it he remembered something. Henrex had wings, actual wings. If they got wet they would get extremely heavy.

"Takanare, Sango yo" Zen's body was surrounded by waves of water. From those waves formed branching coral. It glowed a brilliant sky blue. The coral extended in front of him, moving towards Henrex. Soon after a torrent of pressurized water followed the coral. The coral functioning as a channel for the water. As the water flowed it destroyed the coral, it mixing with the water forming high speed shrapnel. He controlled the flow of the water to hit Henrex from the side. This would cause him to be hit by the water, and then the water would push him towards a nearby lake. Hopefully Henrex knew how to swim.

High Flying Battle! The Sealed Training! [Viz/Zen] [FINISHED AND CLOSED]

"What in hell" Zen said to himself as the saw the changes taking place. The aura felt as if it were a hollow's, but that couldn't be the case. He had seen the effects of hollowfication with his own eyes. He saw it happen to his old captain, he had seen and worked with Vizards, he helps take care of an Arrancar that used to be a Shinigami. It had the same sort of feeling, but it felt sort of..... different. It just felt like some sort of fake thing. Almost digital in nature, not natural.

His eyes returned to their normal blue as he shifted over to a more logical mindset. He could have continued to indulge his destructive tendencies, but now was not the time. The situation called for some more thought. He couldnt destroy the poor guy, he needed help. But what could he do. He couldnt destroy him, and sealing him would be hard, and he might not be able to escape well. Zen only knew of 2 sealing techniques. Creating a new type of seal would take too long, far longer than the time that he had at hand. He had two other options then. Weaken him enough so that he passes out, or somehow make the other thing go away. If only Hayato was here, he could try and purify the man, but that wasnt the case.

Zen jumped back dodging the claws, not that it would have done much damage. "Mae, Sakura yo" Zen uttered as a flurry of cherry blossom petals swirled around him. As they swirled up into the sky a pure black trunk of a tree formed. It grew up to 50 feet tall, where the petals rested on branches, forming a light pink canopy on the giant cherry blossom tree. "Sakura Turbulence" as he said those words, a massive gust of wind started to blow infront of the tree. A 60 MPH gust blew the petals off of the tree, causing a flurry to go towards the possessed shinigami. The petals were harmless, but this kido was made to shut down abilities, regardless of their source of origin. Anything that had a strength less than a #50 kido would be "blown away" when it entered the area.

Due to the strong wind, some of the trees in the area started to snap and bend. Branches, leaves, rocks, and some small bushes were ripped from the ground and were sent flying in the direction of the wind.

People [CLOSED/FINISHED]

Zen's eyes changed from a narrowed glare to a normal look. For a few seconds his eyes were a deep red, before they changed to their normal piercing blue. He had learned all he wanted from Hisao, and it seemed that his attitude had changed a little, his face showed a calm demeanor, instead of the cockiness that he had started with. "I can see why you were placed here. You are quite adept at defending yourself with those dreadful buzzing contraptions you make. But once they are slowly picked off your true colors show." He paused for a moment. "And they are less than what should be expected from someone like you."

Zen stepped back a few feet as he said "Mae, Sakura yo" As he said those words, pink cherry blossom petals filled the area around Zen. A mighty wind started to blow as the petals rose up into the sky. As they rose a tree trunk formed. It was a pure black, 25 feet thick, It rose into the air, a myriad of branches splitting off from the center. Each branch utterly covered in cherry blossom flowers, forming a thick pink canopy. The contrast between the almost white pink and the pitch black, adding to the beauty of this tree.

"Sakura Turbulence" As he said those words, finishing the incantation the flowers lightly fell, before the wind picked up. A mighty gale of 60 MPH, blasted a 50 foot high area infront of it. This wind contained all of the energy that was contained within the tree. All those in this area would not be directly effected, but any effects that they were under were. Any sort of spirit, magic, or abilities that they had, as long as their power was bellow the power required to cast a #50 kido, would be negated as long as they were within this area. Not to mention that standing, or sitting, in a wind this strong would be fairly difficult. This effect would last for quite some time (Until the end of his next post).

Using his sound manipulation, due to the strong gale, Zen said "You need some training. If you ever want to train, in a professional manner, you can come to me. And you will. Let it be known that you did attack a captain, and you did so infront of your entire squad. If I so wish I could tell the captain commander and you will be taken to Sokyoku Hill for immediate execution. I trust that not even one as self-centered as you would want to die so quickly do to a joke. Now I need to ensure that your teammates arent blowing their arms off" He didnt know if Hisao could hear him, but if he didnt, he would ensure he got the message later. And with that Zen flashstepped away to ensure the rest of his squad was training properly.

Comments/Notes:
Viz wrote:I am going to make a case here. Zen had been approved in 2010 with an application much worse than this and I have been using him without issue, or update, since then. It wasnt until a few days ago that I noticed he needed a retooling. For all this time his history as a former captain has never been questioned as it has never had an essential role in the plot and has just been powerwise. I had even talked to Frost and he said I did not have to worry about bankai and shikai because in his older version he had them unlocked already.
this is his old app: https://www.platinumhearts.net/t15-zen-approved-1-2
There is no way someone can tell me that this updated version is somehow worse than the one I wrote well over 6 years ago.

Let me give my response that should be heavily noted for the rest of this check. A character is not grandfathered entirely. Zen is grandfathered, his threads are grandfathered, though specifics in the application are not grandfathered due to the fact that since this is the year 2016, we have newer, updated standards for characters of a higher tier. I plan on checking this application as if it's a current day 1-2, so I expect it's writing and such to be of an equal standing.

Secondly, let me ask this. How am I supposed to know that this is an update if you havn't put -any- mention in the profile that this is an update? Not a link, or even putting in the title that this is an update? People come and go from the site, and if you look at the time I joined, I don't even know most of the characters here. This is the second time this has happened, though the other person was much more understanding. As a rule, I'd like it if you were to remember to put in the title if you're making an update, since at the start, I looked at this as a new profile with no previous ties to the site.

Third, I'd like to see quotes from Frost himself rather than simple mentions, because even he has said that if he is going to be mentioned, it should be in a quote for accuracy and legitimacy. Yes, general things like releases will remain the same, and tier will be around the same range, but that doesn't mean that all of it can not be changed, altered, or modified to meet new standards. I am generally going to be asking for a lot more work to be put into this profile for it to retain it's 1-2 status since many people of that tier have put in a much larger amount of work application wise.

Viz wrote:There is no way someone can tell me that this updated version is somehow worse than the one I wrote well over 6 years ago.

In terms of application standards, yes, it is worse. Back then, an application of that standing would have been accepted, but now? It's certainly quite the opposite.

Now to the -actual- check.

For the history, the first thing I'm going to mention now that I know that this is an update is that it should be longer and more detailed. With the updating of characters comes the updating of their history, lore, powers, and everything in order to meet the standards that are present today. I don't mind if a lot of his history involves threads that he's been in since creation, and too current day, since it gives him more depth as a character on his application and lets people know more of what he did other than just somehow getting shikai from the academy then go on to get bankai and beat up powerful hollows. Add in what he did that wasn't strictly all of this, add in what he did as a member of Squad 13, add in other adventures, character development. ADD IN THE FEELS to the character to remind people that this was someone that's been active for years and years.

And now the second part of the history. Remove all mentions of Aizen or any other -canon- bleach character you may want to put in. This is something that I will not debate, this is something that I am flat out denying. There is no mention of any canon characters in his original history, so there should be none in his current history.

Extension of this profile is going to be needed in order to reach near current standards, such as lengthening history, adding more into powers, adding more to personality, making his shikai and bankai mean so much more than a simple baton that likes music. This isn't me singling you out, this is something that everyone who had to unarchive recently must go through to meet today's standards. I am giving you a break in that I don't expect you to go as fully hard as needed, since this was approved before.

Next up is his abilities and powers.

Viz wrote:Sound Manipulation: Zen has the ability to create sounds around him and fights with sound. When attacking he creates semi-visible waves of sound that appear as shimmering air, due to the distortion the changing pressure causes. The sounds he creates change the form of the attacks, thus making them predictable. Sounds such as woodwinds create a sphere that expands around him, brass creates a cone that expands in front of him, and strings make a straight line.

I want more description on this, saying so much more about what can be -done- with this manipulation. How do these attacks work? How much damage do they cause? How much of a drain is it to perform these feats? Tell me more about it other than just the looks and that he can do it.

Viz wrote:Iluminacion: This ability spreads out 500 feet around Zen. He can create touchable, semi-solid illusions. They are mostly used for Zen’s performances but it can be used in battle to disorient opponents. An example would be him creating a wall, that feels like a wall, but when you apply any sort of extra pressure one would go through it.

Is there strain to this ability? How much energy does it cost to keep up a single illusion, or multiple? The ability seems fine with the fact that these illusions can still go through them, but what's not fine is if this is all free with no limitations and a pretty fairly sized radius.

Viz wrote:Bianca: Condenses reiatsu in front of Zen to create a white shield infront of him that absorbs the next attack so that it deals only half of its damage. If Zen is much stronger than his opponent it can negate the attack.

I want a cool-down on this and a listed strain to it. A shield that automatically reduces an attack by half damage can be amazing against higher leveled people, and even having the possibility to negate attacks is pretty big. Right now, it's written so that he can use it whenever with no costs, please change that.

So, Aurora begins to take the reiatsu from around the opponent, an energy source that's typically internal, to reduce the effectiveness of Kido for a full two posts? I'd like a bit more detail, and explanations. How much is the Kido reduced? Is there limits on if the person has a higher Kido skill than Zen? What if they're equal, or lower? Please give a bit more description for abilities that just go-off with no real defense against them.

Viz wrote:Sharp: Zen releases reiatsu from his body to increase others, or his own, Kido for 2 posts.

So he just releases this with no drain to his own being? Typically releasing reiatsu takes an amount of energy away, I'd like it to be said how much is taken away along with a limit on how many others can be increased. Is it simply one other person, or is it a group? Lastly, how much is their Kido enhanced? Is it a 1.5x increase? 200%? More description is needed.

How rapid is this firing? How many shots per second or minutes? Also, how powerful is each individual shot, and how long does it take for him to maintain this ability for a small amount of time? How about longer?

Basically, from this point on, I'm just going to say if any ability isn't a natural ability, that it should have a listed drain of some type, also stating how great the drain is depending on the ability.

Viz wrote:Timbre: This gives Zen an acute sense of hearing, which allows him to be able to hear things from miles away, if he focuses on it. With even greater focus he could identify the resonance of objects, allow him to create blasts of sound that counter that vibration, shattering the objects.

So let's say someone has a sword made from a 0-2 crafter, and Zen somehow hears its resonance... He has the ability to lol-shatter it? No, I'd rather if this ability's second part was worded differently to include the fact that some weapons alone may be stronger than Zen.

Viz wrote:Arpeggio: It allows Zen to use more than one Kido at the same time often causing them to combine into a kido that has the properties of the two or three kido used at the time.
If he is able to combine them the kido created creates something new, such as mixing fire and water kido to make steam kido.
Doing this takes concentration, the more kido he tries to combine, the more focus he has to have. He has been able to combine as much as 4 kido at one time. Combining Hadō is more complicated due to their more unpredictable nature. Bakudo are easier to combine as they are very structured and orderly.

I shouldn't need to mention that for every extra kido he tries to mix, it has a formula sorta like
2 kido = 2x drain
3 kido = 3x drain
4 kido = 4x drain
with all of this having a base extra drain due to how the ability works, correct?

If he moves from the position the projectiles will move once more, and any projectile he tries to send out are also stopped, meaning he cannot use projectile attacks for one post.

Add a limitation too this, such as the skill that this is based off of needs to be equal or higher than the projectiles launched by the target. This should be bypassed since some projectiles or weapons are made to be stronger than whatever field he may try to put out.

Viz wrote:Sound Cannon: If the opponent is weaker than Zen, Tier wise, Zen can capture non-physical attacks and fire them back. He does this by creating a circular wall of reiatsu and compressed air in front of him. This stops the attack and then Zen releases it forward. He can do this to absorb several attacks, but it has some drawbacks. While he does this he becomes immobile while sustaining it. If he absorbs too many attacks, this ability fails and all the absorbed attacks are released in front of him all at once.

How much weaker tier wise? And how many attacks must be absorbed? What if they're high in terms of energy when compared to normal blows? What if they're a tier weaker, but their skills are higher?

Diminuendo: Works in a similar way to Crescendo. This time he uses his spirit pressure to degrade kido that are targeting him. It travels in a cone shaped wave that reached out to 50 feet. Due to this shift in pressure, while this ability is used his back is exposed to attacks as his defenses are focused on his front. Strength of those attacks is reduced by 1/2.

Does this work with -all- attacks sent towards him? Even those that are leagues above him in terms of power, his energy is able to reduce it by half? Even if the attack is higher in terms of skills and tier?

Viz wrote:Marcato: V shaped projectiles composed of reiatsu and sound fly out and travel at a high speed and on contact creates 10 foot wide explosions.

How strong are the explosions, and just how -fast- do they travel?

Viz wrote:Fortissimo: If Zen makes an attacks and yells fortissimo the effectiveness of the attack raises by 2x. This makes him give out a burst of energy, leaving him tired for 1 post after using this ability.

This ability is actually fine, but I'd like to now how big the burst of energy is. Does it take, let's say a fifth of his entire energy stores? The single post cooldown is acceptable as well, but knowing just how much the burst of energy is would be helpful. Actually, I'd like it if it would be double the amount of energy of the normal version plus an extra 50% since this is an instant cast.

Now I hope I don't need to repeat this, but most of these abilities should state that they drain some energy if applicable, and how much. A big explosion from slow moving bars shouldn't take the same amount of energy as just making a fake wall a few feet away.

There is my current check, so please do remember that characters need to be updated and retooled for a reason, to meet current day standards since this site and most older members that have been around for a long while have all improved.
