Spoiler:

It was raining.

As if one played a song of storms, rain flooded the grounds of this forgotten area of Britain known as Camelot. The forests remained green and the fields healthy, even throughout all the rampaging destruction across the rest of this region by the evils in power. The wind blew pure through these lands, as if a barrier existed around this forgotten place. Un-touched my humanity and the world outside for over one thousand years, until this day. It was on this day, that one of royal and forgotten blood, the blood of a Roman Emperor, the blood of a King of Camelot, the Blood of an Iramasha and the blood of power, walked through these forgotten fields.

She wore not her normal black suit and tuxedo mask, but a fine red military-styled red dress with a translucent section in the front of the lower skirt. It was a dress worn by her ancestor, and saved by the family. Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, once wore the dress she war, but now Leadie... no, Arturia Leadie Pendragon-O'Connor the 36th wore its holy threads.

Each step brought her further into the flood, searching for that sword. The ancient blade once lost to the world. Caliburn, the sword of the King of Britain. Her eyes looked to the sky, flashing like lighting with her dreams in hand. Her steps continued, weaving around each tree and plant, careful to not damage any part of this forgotten landscape. Plants shook with the wind and rain, but not in a violent maner, some even tricking or eyes, as Leadie kept seeing things. Plants, bowing, looking to see or even moving out of her path. Surely she hadn't lost her mind.

Her hand lifted up to the blade belted to her waste, and almost as large as her. Her left hand rested on its hilt as her steps brought her to a ruin. Stones that seemed to raise into walls, still stood in this small area of meadow. The rain ceased here, and the sky became clear. Light shined down upon a single stone, a brilliant blade thrusting by the metal into its stone pedestal.

Caliburn, laid before Leadie's eyes. She broke into a run with wide sparkling eyes, her feet carrying her over rubble and gravel, all that remained of the blade's former housing. A jump brought her hand to the hilt and her feet to the stone. She pulled, grunting at the heavy blade before her. But it would not release itself from its pedestal. She fell to one knee, her eyes glaring into the blade's inscriptions that read:

Thy shalt not pull this blade without the strength to carry and rule the people of Britain. Thous hath not proven thy truth and justice to Caliburn. Thee who dare pull my hilt, shall be the King of Britain and shall not know of defeat. Thy require judgement, clear mind, sanity, willpower, determination, charisma, focus, deduction, mind, strength, skill and experience. Thy pure heart, shall be judged by Excalibur and Calibur, as well as Avalon.

Leadie clicked her tongue, kicking the sword only to be blasted back into a tree by a force of wind and light from the blade. She fell, sliding to the ground with an aching back before pulling herself from the ground by the branches alone. It angered her. This sword angered her. She could not pull it, for all the reasons she had been taught. Where her teachings wrong? Was that as her father and mother tried to truly teach her? They were gone, hidden within the worlds from prying eyes.

Damnation!

With no way to draw the blade, she stood and left. Her steps carried for to the dark woods and looking back, she saw the very same woods behind her as well. Had it been a barrier? One unable to be sense by all but the most powerful of bloods? Why? Surely no one could destroy Caliburn, a blade craft by a force to powerful that it lasted through Shadow Fall's take over and Mana Mana's reign! What she knew, was that she had to keep moving on. The words rung in her head, the path of Caliburn's will.

"Judgement, clear mind, sanity, willpower, determination, charisma, focus, deduction, mind, strength, skill and experience. I should already heave these things!"

She continued on, raving until she reached the road her motorcycle had been parked on, fully repaired from her encounter with a demon mere days ago. She had also picked up her sword from her family treasure. With the words in mind, her legs flew over the side of her bike, dress pressed beneath her and she roared the engine, taking her helmet and placing it on her head before taking off once more on a road trip.

Who knew who she would meat here in Britain?

A very peculiar sighting indeed
3 Mysterious Humanoids

It is without fanfare or flair; just as Leadie was mounting on her bike, she would see three oddly armored men surrounding the sword in the stone, looking at it. Considering it was raining, the armor should have worn them down, but there is an ominous presence among them. To a sharp eye of the wary, these three are neither human nor demon. If using the sword in the stone's size to compare, these three are in unison in height and stand well higher than Leadie, which speaks for itself that they are even taller than most human male. Just as they are in unison in size, they look at Leadie; two turning their head and one just looking up towards her, but all start at the same time and end their movement at the same time; a perfect synchronicity of movement. The one on the other side of the sword from Leadie's point of view literally walks through the stone and the sword itself while the two turn and walk side by side with each other without missing a beat or straying away from their synchronized movements. A couple feet away from the sword in the stone and closer to Leadie, these three would look intimidating to anyone who have not met such an organized opposition. They may as well be an elite team looking to remove undesirable wretches that would impede Mana's world conquest. However, something is different about them.

Out in the rain, they just stand there, breathing as one and looking at Leadie with their blank, six eyes only visible by their helmet. With the trident in their grasp, they--all at the same time--slam their trident's bottom end down to the ground and a red glow begin to surround them. Just like that, they all do a single lean forward in a half-way bow.

Leadie turned, one leg formerly over her bike now swinging down to the ground behind her. Spinning on her left heel, Leadie's hand gripped the hilt of her sword and her eyes opened with a lock on Caliburn's general area. Something was there, something that should be impossible. This event so unnatural, made Leadie' agohe pop out of her hair. Her eyes trained in on her surroundings, not one movement passing her by in her line of vision. Even as rain swept through her hair and into her eyes, the forests in her eyes knew no darkness. They would not close, and with a single step Leadie carried herself from the road back to the forest. Her feet subconsciously weaving and bobbing between dead leaves and branches, her steps were as silent as she could muster with each pace through the blackened earth.

Her thoughts where a calm inferno, burning through thoughts at a rapid pace and checking all realistic, spiritual and fantasy based possibilities. Not even the thought of Hitler being the cause escaped her infernal mind. Then is came to her, what if Mana or another Asthavon had somehow managed to break through? No. That was impossible. They would be removed instantly, without even time to move, let alone think. It was a shifted plain separate from all others. A single possibility was left. She denied it. Leadie's mind in its typical fashion thinking something so cliche to be ludicrous. A Guardian of Camelot. All those fantasy tales and even the truths came to her mind, returning from the ashes like some form of a phoenix. Her conclusion became sound, but deniable to her. None the less, an ill wind blew. Not a dark wind, but a wind that meant ill will towards those unworthy of the sword in the stone.

Everyday becomes all the stranger. My teachings and studies seem to have covered almost nothing compared to what I need to know. Caliburn... the Will of Caliburn. That tale... the three six-eyed guardians of Truth. Could it be..? Leadie's thoughts did not incinerate, her thoughts right and no wrong within them. Her grip on the Damascus Steel Blade increased in power, unsheathing the blade with a single movement and throwing the elder leather sheath to the side. It would only be in her way. It landed on dead leaves, crunching them and making her cringe. Brilliant. Alert them with sound if they didn't already know. Swell job you've done there. Reigen would never let me hear the end of it for that. A sigh, so quiet left her lips as she carried on, blinking only six times to clear her vision of droplets.

How she wished she could move faster, but the sound would be her enemy as the blackened skies and woodlands turned to a lush green and perfect sky blue with pale clouds. A smile tugged her lips, focus split between this place as the rain was no more. Breaking into a run, she kept her steps silent, weaving off the path and into the trees. She anticipated what she may face, knights of some order. She couldn't have been more wrong as she came into view of the sword in the stone, Caliburn. Three warriors, tridents, six... eyes each. Well, that tipped her odd scale a bit. She seldom ever met demons with more than two eyes, and these clearly were not of the darkness. She crouched behind a large hedge, as quiet as ever and lifting a branch laying beside her dead. A thought came to her, and her arms lunged the branch through the tree. It landed far to her north west, currently she face east.

Her eyes locked onto them, taking her sword beside her in both hands before hopping the hedge having believed to see them turn to that direction. They were in her blood territory. This was unforgivable, but something continued to irk her mind. The thought of 'Guardians' kept plaguing her, even as she rush with a swing to the one facing north east. She would have to keep out of range of the trident's, hoping to catch her blade in between the forks in a favorable position. Perhaps she could kick them away and have them loose their grip on their trident? A downward slash to him, a sweeping kick into one aim to kick in the chest. Should either miss, her blade would fly to the sky, attempting to block whatever came while following with another spin kick. Jumping back, she takes her position once more and calls out to them.

"Why are you here?! If you are not some form of a Guardian, I'll remove you from Camelot's lands!"

The Three Invaders

The three watch Leadie move about in the hedges. Unbeknownst to her is that the six eyes can only discern mystical concealing and trickery. When she dives into the hedges, the three are trying to trace her general movements through sounds that they are somewhat restricted in because of their helmet. The mysterious part about it is that they continue to be in perfect synchronization. The furthest one from her was doing some kind of a goofy dance which involves prodding the sky with the trident and kicking up its legs one by one outward while saying something, but Leadie can only hear, "Ne..nueh..ooto..ne..nueh.." Two of them hop up and literally hovers over the ground over to the hedge that Leadie moved from before they start whacking the hedges with their tridents. As soon as Leadie makes the attack on the closest one doing the bushwhacking, She can feel the blade passing through its body easily as if it was nothing, but there is that strange "chang" noise as if the blade did hit something and a plume of blood puffs off the invader's body. The invader that she hit staggers back as the second bushwhacking invader hops again and floats backwards for a while before landing a good distance away from Leadie before the first bushwhacking invader turns to Leadie. The first invader lowers its trident and pulls it back as if it is going to run Leadie through, but Leadie's kick catches the invader and causes it to stagger back even more. The second invader hops and floats off to Leadie's left, possibly was going to catch her in the flank.

"Why are you here?! If you are not some form of a Guardian, I'll remove you from Camelot's lands!" Leadie shouts to the three invaders only to receive no response other than the second invader was putting both its hands together over its chest and inciting, "Brefor unus shookar!" During the incantation, Leadie can see a bright light forming from the chest of the second invader before a sharp sound of grinding glass signalling the incoming launch of a bright blue orb racing towards Leadie at the speed of a running man. The spell would be alien, but due to its unnatural origin, it would be regarded as dangerous either way as the orb was racing from Leadie's 10'o'clock direction by the second invader.

The Second Step, The Right to Rule Empty Re: The Second Step, The Right to Rule

Word Count: 678
Song: Tal Tal Heights - Series: Links Awakening

Leadie's thoughts where wild, the sphere of energy only five feet away, and her unable to block it. Her mind raced, thinking of any logical way to avoid this blast. Nothing. Nothing! There was no way to avoid or block it without more strength! Without speed! Without some feat of a miracle nothing could be done. Her combat lessons taught her weapons to weapon, long range and all, but a blast this fast? This was something no human without power or at her level could dodge.

I can't block it...

Her arms rose her blade, pointed to the sun with a flash from the blade. Her mind racing, thinking she could slash it in half but knowing all the while such a thing was surely improbably if not mere stupidity. Something so desperate, something only a human could understand. A Quincy. A Human. A Human Shinigami. A Human turned Iramasha. The few that could perform this feat were in her mind. She had studied. Nothing was more important than her life to her. All of the pleasure, all of the sadistic things she could do, her families, her will and these damned things on her families land!

"You will not.... Exceeddra!" A cry left her lips, a downward swing slashing the ground as it landed. She watched as a blade lit with silver fell to the ground, casting out the crescent moon upon the sphere and slicing it in two. Her eyes could not fathom, her brain unable to process and her heart burned with fire and passion to live. They had challenged Arturia Pendragon! The reincarnated King of Britain! Her eyes glowed with a silver light, instinct before the sphere's left half crashed into her still. Sliding down a tree from the knock back, her sword impaled the ground to hold her up. She could not fall here, in her family's sacred place. Her Kingdom to be! She realized then, as her hands slipped from the blade and she fell to her knees that it was her destiny, but not her right.

That these could be the guardians of Caliburn testing her was once again plaguing her as a hand held her from the dirt with her other clutching her bloodied side. Leadie rose her head, eyes glowing wild with her understanding in heart. Caliburn wanted mercy, humility and her first experience of battle. It wanted her to know the slightest pain she would be feeling. Didn't it? Could the sword truly have no soul, but have its very own will? Magic had existed for endless years. It was something to explain many things, and even explained the Will. But the Will of Caliburn determined a ruler. It could not be pulled from the stone, not even in illusion unless that person was Arturia in the flesh, and had the ageless will of King Arthur and Arturia. Two names for the forgotten king.

That was it. Exactly. It was her conclusion, as her first real battle came to a close so fast. She was humiliated and fell, a hand still on the hilt and barely hanging. Perhaps... she was not ready. It wasn't her right. She hand learned that, but even with this, it was her future. It wasn't her destiny, as her mother once said destiny is a chain you pin yourself down with. It was her dream. Her sword would shine brightly one day, reflecting the will of heroes past, present and future. She fell further, the soft grass greeting her as an illusion or vision of some sort played before her.

Two swords. One wielder. One in each hand, taking on the powers at be for the freedom of the human realm. In that instant, Caliburn pulsed. Had she passed one of the tests? Had she gained a slight approval? One could only pray, that if they were guardians, they would not kill her as her willpower faded and eyes became cloudy with her eyelids clapping shut like thunder. Her last thought was to those she had fought... would they harm her or were they there for her?

The Moonlit Lords in Lament (Gwyn, Lord of Cinder 600% Slower)
**Can be stopped at anytime.**

When the woman fell, the two invaders were approaching her with a stern purpose.
The third invader's dance ends with a burst of energy that brushes by the woman.
However, nothing could be felt in her slumber as she would innately hear a voice,
"Fear not the darkness, child; I may not see, but I may know. They will find you."
The woman can feel her being hoisted up by two entities before dragged somewhere.

After a while, another rush of energy can be felt through the woman before warmth.
"Auturia Pendragon, master. Found in Hell's England; Queen does not suspect."
"Very good. Take her down to Sector D and do give her hospitality and comfort."
"Yes, master. The Ancients will rise again and so will Savior Hanako Shikijou."
"My name is Incarnate, Guardian of Legacies. Pleasure to speak to you...somewhat."

The invaders has left Pendragon's Grove with Auturia as captive!
No one knows where they have vanished to and only a stranger can help.

It would be on this day, that a pact would arise and a future's light lit with a new tunnel out of the hells that had covered the fair earth. The world was not aware of a new route before it. A forgotten force of old, reincarnated met a force of the new. With Arturia unable to speak or fight back, she had been captured if one could call it that. Taken to a new and unknown place, she would awaken in a room of sorts without her blade. Time could only tell of the fate awaiting the soul and a child of Arthur Pendragon of the Sixth Age after Christ.

This is but one tale of which the legends speak. A tale that survives on the winds breath. The second chapter, is only beginning.

End thread....?
