Blitzkrieg [Nozomi, Iran Thread] Empty Blitzkrieg [Nozomi, Iran Thread]

Artist: Alliance - Song: Iron Dragon

Human beings are a very busy species; they live short lives compared to the other races of power, and as such are usually always moving ahead with a goal in mind. It is admirable, but often it is said they focus so much on their work that they don't really sit back to enjoy the ambience of the world around them—it is difficult for them to appreciate it. Just relax. Listen. Hear the hum of the electronics running nearby, or the wooshing of wind as it passes by. The idle chatter. The chirping of birds. The creaking in the night. When told, it is easy enough to listen in on the environment, but as soon as your attention drifts away... the sounds vanish from your mind's eye again. For the majority of their lives, humans are deaf to subtle sounds in the background. They're much too busy with other things to pay attention.

The setting was Iran.

Nothing was out of the ordinary for any old day here, nothing to draw their attention away from whatever they may be doing. The population was blissfully oblivious to what was about to happen, and none of them were truly prepared for it either. It is possible they couldn't have expected it, but it wasn't completely out of the blue on the other hand; one needed a sense of the world around them, to see the flow of power moving. Directly adjacent to Iran was the dominion of Eldrazi, the utopia that had risen up seemingly overnight. Its propaganda often made its way into Iran's territory, speaking wonderful tales of wealth and happiness. It was hard to believe, understandably, especially with the great wall that kept the outsiders out and the insiders in...

There was a hope, of course, but what could one do about it? It was the elephant in the room but its not like they could move it; they just had to accept it. After things had calmed down, everyone went back to their own lives. Nothing had changed, until now. Legions of Eldrazi's soldiers lie in wait out of view of the country's people, machines of war prepared to launch forth. It was about to begin, and yet the population was unaware, not learned in heeding the white noise in the background. A blue-haired woman walked down the streets of Iran, whispering one word under her breath, to signal the start of the takeover.

''Blitzkrieg.''

All at once, the signal was recieved, and they burst forth in arms. They were Quincy, both pure and Graustrom, storming the cities upon the rooftops. Bows, crossbows, slingshots, guns, and all other types of ranged weaponry were summoned. Bearing the uniform and insignia of the Eldrazi, and prejudiced their aim against those of the opposing police and military, determining their targets by uniform. Lives were not taken unless by force of hand—the Eldrazi units were able to skillfully disarm and incapacitate their foes, taking them down before they even had a chance to react. Despite that, the country would rise into panic, unsure of what was going on. Foreign soldiers were on their streets, and metal beasts soared in the air above them. At this rate, nearly all of the opposing country's military might would be overpowered in a matter of an hour. Those remaining would not be able to put up a fight to resist.

Meanwhile, Nozomi resided within Tehran, the capital of the country, standing atop the Golestan Palace looking out upon the city. Iran already had another name labeled on it—Tsubasa Unabara—and he would be made her enemy by circumstance, and not by anything he himself perpetrated. If that man still wanted this land, this is where he would arrive to defend it. Nozomi had made her will more than clear enough, and now it was up to him whether to resolve the matter peacefully or physically. Hopefully, he would concede and spare all parties involved the trouble of a fight, for then there would be no need for casualties. But, when it came to someone with such a dark side within them, Nozomi couldn't expect everything to turn out so well. She reached out and grabbed one of the two spires of the palace to lean on, as she awaiting the appearance of the Pale Rider.

The matter was beyond over now, with three hours past the initialization of the takeover operation. Compared to the technology and power of Eldrazi, Iran was far out of its league, and the security of the land thus far depended on the strength of Tsubasa Unabara. Yet, for as far as Nozomi's eye could see, the land's protector had not shown his face when Iran was in distress. Vi would confirm from her eye in the sky that he was no where to be found. Hundreds of reports came in from all over the country from her soldiers, letting her know that their respective areas were completely under control. It was a shame to say that there were casualties on the opposing side, indicating that her men and women had been unable to incapacitate them before they became a problem... but at the least the death count only registered a single digit, and none of them were on her side. As the final report came in, Nozomi sighed slightly in disappointment as she closed her eyes. If there was one person that she couldn't understand, it was Tsubasa. His motives seemed to shift from day to day and she could never seem to pinpoint what his overall goal was. For him to not show up at all to a land he had claimed for his own, it again baffled her. No matter, however, as it meant that there would be little trouble assimilating Iran into the Eldrazi, before moving onto Iraq thereafter.

Nozomi lifted her arms up to the sky, gazing towards the stars, her entire body starting to glow with power. She would remain like this, at first what was happening not being understood, at least for those who could see her. Yet, many miles away, from where Eldrazi bordered this country, the Emerian Wall would begin to shift wildly, opening up and releasing an overwhelming amount of energy; of Esper. The Esper cascaded out like a tidal wave, invisible to the eye but easily felt. As it moved by it began to transform the very landscape. Iranian architecture would become Eldrazi architecture; Iranian wildlife would become Eldrazi wildlife; and perhaps most astonishing of all, the Emerian Barrier would expand along the borders of Iran, enclosing the new land within Eldrazi's dominion. Nozomi collaborated with the artificial intelligence of Eldrazi, Vi, to construct a new world for these people. Even despite the use of force, her intentions to the country's population were not hostile. She sought to bring them utopia as she had to millions already. They were scared now, but later on, Nozomi would be pleased to bring smiles to their faces.

''Iran has been taken, and the process of ascension has begun... Begin the second invasion, now.'' Her voice would echo throughout the W.C.I. Network, sent to every soldier under her command at once. Iran was only first phase of this mobilization, after all, and Iraq would follow suit. While news will have already made it to their doorstep by now, it would definitely not be enough to hold back the advanced force Nozomi had at her command. It would not even be able to hold her alone back. It would fall in line like a domino. Instead, now was the time to be thinking of matters ahead of her, as Nozomi wished to further expand the dominion of Eldrazi. There were three options: China, Russia, and Europe, and all of them proposed great challenges. She would think on this...
