Song: Letting You Go - By: Bullet For My Valentine - Word Count: N/A

The eldest of the Vael family found herself falling into old habits — and as they say, when they die, they die hard — wandering aimlessly, yet not wandering at all. She was unhinged; eyes swollen, and bloodshot, freckled with flecks of purple, remnants of the abundant sadness that plagued her.

To put it lightly, Mirja's death was her undoing.

At first, the tears wouldn't stop coming. They seared the tender flesh of her supple cheeks like acid, leaving a subtle trail in their wake. However, it seemed that Taichou could produce tears no longer.

The hunger set in around her fifth day in Chaya, rippling through her like an earthquake. A hunger so strong that it caused her to squirm, and obsess over the prospect of more. What that more was? She had no idea.

Unfortunately for Taichou, she already knew that food wouldn't satiate her. She was empty, and yearned for something... that she could never have again. Mirja.

It was dizzying, really, the whirlwind that had become her life — and starvation, was imminent.
