A large, dark, dank, damp cavern was located underneath Nikilo's temporary apartment in the Null guild. One could access it by going behind the building and sliding down the tube located behind three bushes in direct conjunction. One could also go through a tunnel in any major city and most minor ones to get to this tunnel. Nikilo loved this cavern. As he stood in the direct centre, he barked a harsh word that sounded remarkably german for "light" and smiled as several hand-carved bulbs planted in the walls and ceilings came to life with a soft, uv light. As the light glittered off the many crystals and gems, Nikilo studied the cavern.

He didn't know why. He had hand-carved it, of course. To the north was the only entrance. To the south was a large pool, cut off from the arena-esque area by a short, wooden fence. The pool was artificially heated, and was a nice spring or whirlpool after some hard training. To the east were beds, and to the west was...nothing. He still hadn't decided what to put there. Blue puddles littered the ground, as water dripped off of sharp stalagmites. Normally, they wouldn't be in a hand-crafted cavern, but Nikilo decided to include them anyway. They made fights on Monoliths more interesting!

Suddenly, he heard the whirring of air. Finally. Someone had responded to his training add in the local paper. Finally, training would begin. Deciding not to be rude, he clicked off his sword, which was whirring in his hand. He had been practicing with it earlier. Sliding the hilt into his belt, he waited with a smile on his face as someone slid down the tunnel.

Doku slid down the tunnel, her eyes narrowed almost to a closed point. Was it the best idea to be doing this? Probably not. But her curiosity was rather overwhelming. She wanted to know how much more powerful she had gotten. Something had been added, she could tell that, she just couldn't tell how much more. So, she was in an experimental phase. This way she'd at least get some gain from it, even if she lost.

Stepping out of the tunnel as she'd stopped sliding, she stretched just slightly, back cracking just quietly. She glanced around, blinking a bit. Her eyes paused on the stalagmites. A nice touch, she noted them being there. They could easily be used in a fight, if needed.. Though it really depended on the one she was fighting..

At this her eyes shifted towards the actual being in the cavern. She had sensed they were there, but had waited now to study him. Her head tilted to one side, before dipping to him, stepping forwards, a bit away from the tunnel. Wouldn't want to be run over by anyone else coming down. She didn't delve as far as studying the feeling that came off of him. She was in a good mood, not too paranoid at that moment. "'Ellouu.."

Desalmado skid down the hallways, he was seeking a place to be alone after sneaking his way past guardsmen and townsfolk. His seeking of a place to be alone was by his need to transform, but he had heard of a mission to have a playful spar and chose to join in that. After all, it has been some time since he had battled, and it would do good to make sure his mind was not too far gone after spending such a long time in his child form. He skidded down some somewhat loose rocks before hopping off and landing cleanly on his feet.

"Hello, Nikilo." He spoke plainly, his voice giving off anticipation but not fear. He trusted this man enough not to kill him. He clicked his fingers a few times, allowing the dull click of metal upon metal to ring. He did it a few times more as he spoke, his nervousness obvious as his dull silver eyes gazed upon this stranger. He shifted away from her, one long sleeve covering the lower half od his face much like a traditional japanese woman and her kimono. Except unlike the woman, he did it not out of custom but out of hiding. He didn't like strangers. Nikilo himself would be fine, but people... He carefully stepped away from her, his eyes accusing.

Who was she? What did she want? His eyes narrowed at her, full of suspicion and alarm. "Nikilo... there was nothing that said there would be more than one person here." He spoke, his sleeve still covering most of his nose and all of his mouth. It was obvious his displeasure was overwhelming. "...Burst..." He whispered to himself, his claws now clicked together making a barely noticeable crackling noise as he did so. His claws were officially on the activated side, his paranoia now beginning to get to him. However he remained his ground. This woman was not in any of his younger self's memories, so she didn't know him.

As long as no one made the connection, he would be fine. If someone did, then murder would happen.

"Well, I believe it is obvious why you are both here.. so let's get started." He commented, as his sleeve slid back to reveal a medallion attached to his arm, the chain wound tightly against his skin. The medallion was circular, and grafted onto it was a black sun. In the center of the sun was another circle, much like a twoonie, and in the center of that circle was a cross. Yes, definitely a quincy tool. As the cross activated, a large bow sprung up from it. The bow was roughly six feet tall, and it was topped and bottomed with two octagons. In the top octogon was a cross, while the bottom adorns a moon. Littered across the surface of the rest are alchemic symbols. The entire structure is black, while the symbols glow a harsh golden color.

Pulling the spiritual thread back, an arrow formed. Firing it off towards Desalmado, he pulled the string again and fired another burst at Doku. Reaching behind him, he unfolded a black square from his pocket and threw it in front of him. Leaping onto it, he began floating in the air, using it as a spiritual platform. Zooming around in circles roughly ten feet in the air, he fired off continuous shots at Doku and Desalmado.

"Nothing personal, but this is how it goes!" He shouted, his left arm constantly being dragged down ever so slightly by his shield, it being only a small circle. It still weighed five pounds, until activated.

Her eyes shifted to Desalmado, in curiosity, as he'd spoken. Not quite listening to what he was saying, but rather how he said it, how he moved. Eyes narrowing softly in thought, before feeling his eyes on herself. His mood had changed rather quickly, and obviously. She blinked slightly. He was mistrusting. She didn't blame him, she was the same, just didn't show it too clearly..

The accusing look in his eyes almost made her smile. She hadn't seen someone act like this in a long time. She wasn't alone in her mistrust of other beings. Well, that was good to know. She dipped her head slightly, non-threatening to him, stepping back from him just a bit. She could sense how strong his displeasure was, which managed to make her a bit .. Uncomfortable. Her own paranoia was starting to act up, though she continued to try not and further upset him. The clicking sounds interested her. She didn't know much of other.. Erm.. Species?.. So she couldn't tell what it meant, but it put her on edge.

She shifted her attention to Nikilo as he'd spoken, head tilted to one side in interest, eyes moving to the details of the medallion, as it the bow had sprung. She jumped slightly, entire body tensing, studying the details while she could, before he had fired. Shifting her body to one side, as she'd watched the arrow that had been fired, lifting a hand to release a small puff of a darkly shaded flame at it, just to experiment with what would happen to it.

Looking upwards to him as he'd lifted from the ground, lips curling into somewhat of a grimace, shuddering as her adrenaline rush had started. Could she use the fire as a shield? She'd have to figure it out. Lifting her other hand, and moving it in an arch above and in front of her body, the fire shifting outwards, energy within it compacting as it paused in place, she allowed the fire to continue filtering into the 'shield'. Hopefully the compacted energy would do .. Some thing or another to keep the arrows from her body.

Desalmado didn't dodge. He spread his arms out, his claws just barely showing past his sleeves as the arrows plunged into his arms and legs before fading back into the reishi they were composed of. He bled, and he was content. Easily he still stood and bled outwards. His blood floated around him, protective and ready for battle as they always were. He didn't seem to even flinch from the pain of the gaping wounds on his arms and legs. He only crouched down and began to run.

When had he first begun to fight like this? His ragtag way of battle without care for his injuries. Was it back when he was an adjucas, so overthrown with emotion that he killed everything around him on instinct, his blood spilling to meet any opponents? Was it back when he first became an arrancar, his deep run into los noches to find that Aizen character? He didn't know. However, what he did know was that this worked and now it had stayed. In the way that he threw his opponents off by not flinching at the searing pains in his body, how he attacked viciously without care for his safety or health... these thoughts were for a time of loneliness, not in the heat of battle and so he locked them away.

Not yet drawing his blade, the arrancar lunged forward, his blood surging past him and towards his enemy while he seemed to disappear as if merely an illusion. In fact, he silently had burst his speed in a sonido to behind his opponent, on all fours with his back arched and his chest puffed out. With a great leap of muscle and bone and claws and blood, her slashed down his left claw with a power that denied his ill-looking body. He no longer covered his face, so entranced was he in battle. His mouth was already gaping wide, not in panting but an animalistic but silent snarl, a creature prepared to fight and win no matter what the costs.

Nikilo was pleased at the reactions. Unfortunately for Doku, however, her fire wasn't quite strong enough to stand up to his quincy arrow. Perhaps if it had been given time to concentrate, but the arrow was quite fast. A small explosions occurred from the contact, as a bit of the arrow got through. Unfortunately, due to the smoke and flame, he couldn't tell if the explosion hit or no. Turning to Desalmado, he grinned at his business cohort. Activating his shield, it grew to a full body shield as he spun towards Des. The steel claws scraped across his shield, leaving a set of decent scratches in it, as well as a splash of blood.

De-activating the monolith, he began to fall. Pointing his bow up diagonally, he shot arrow after arrow of spiritual energy at the man that he worked with, his fingers beginning to bleed he had fired so much. The arrows that he missed struck several stalagmites, causing them to crack and fall. Spinning in his descent, he landed and faced Doku. De-activating his cross, he pulled the null sword hilt from his belt-loop. Activating it, the black blade buzzed to life. Using his Hirenkyaku, he burst forward with a speed faster than flash step.

Slashing as he approached Doku, his sword buzzed in his hand as he twirled and spun with his sword, the heavy sword feeling good in his palm. Crouching, he slashed and spun on his heels, looking like a black tornado of pure, cutting power. So entranced was he with his little fight, he ignored Desalmado completely by accident, slashing and hacking at Doku.
