She feels nothing. So, that’s how it’s going to be? Yeah. Punish her, beat her, laugh at her. Have it your way. The sound of clattering steel against the hard ground would echo out and die in the wind. Falling to the ground soon after, a redheaded woman sits in the middle of the training area, alone. Surprisingly, no one else is here. Are people just busy? Do they not care about training? Is her presence enough to scare them off. Thoughts ran through her head, ideas about meager subjects, all to avoid having to think about the twin katanas lying on the ground.

Why must Tenmarin be a brat? Elyss is a brat, but her sword’s supposed to be better, yeah? Isn’t that how this crap works? Ugh. She shouldn’t have even entertained the idea that any of this would have run smoothly. She’s stubborn. Of course her Zanpakuto is stubborn too. They’re both mad at one another, and it’s just stalemate after stalemate. Fine. Who cares?! Damn sword. Who needs it? In a fit of rage, Elyss rose and started punching the air, her fists causing the air to pop with each swing as she swung wildly at nothing. However, each punch would look trained, as if a target stood before her. The fact, neck, chest, gut… All targets for her to take her frustration out on.

“Alright? As if, Fuuen.” Wait… “Fuuen?”

The first time she said his name, it was just instinctual. But, the second time, she had to actually look over at the man, shock evident in her eyes. Why is he here? What is he doing here? Where has he been? How the Hell does he even remember her? Wait, a quick glance at the journal in his hands. Right, he didn’t remember her. He just has a picture of her which he’s using to know that he can approach her without getting maimed or something… Well, the getting maimed part is still on the table. Ah, her thoughts are getting off track. Back on topic, why the Hell is he here?

“Uh… Hi…” He’ll explain himself, yeah? Yeah?! Ah. She should fix her posture. It’s no good to hold a conversation while looking like she’s about to box someone. Straightening herself a bit, her eyes never left him as she awaited for something more than just an, “Are you alright?”.

“Rather long… Ya jerk. It’s been way too long.”

She actually pouted, and then, she looked away folding her arms over her chest. To be fair, Elyss was the one who decided to go on a trip. However, Fuuen should have done that thing where he randomly appears, like he’s doing now, but it should have been way sooner. He probably forgot. He does that a lot, forget things. When is he going to fix that? It’s annoying. At least he remembers she’s his student. Though, is that because she’s actually his best student or the only student he remembers? Ah, whatever.

“Alright. Wait a minute. Back up. Why are you here, Fuuen?” Yeah, that’s an important question. Him, here of all places? What?

“Maybe…”

What else could she respond with? Reassurance? Doubt? It’s best to just leave such a touchy subject alone for now. She’s no medical expert, the soul and physical body both proving foriegn to her. She just knows that there are healers here and there that can perform miracles. But, with all things, sometimes it’s too good to be true. Not wanting to be stuck on this topic, Elyss’ eyes quickly begin wandering, searching for anything else they could talk about.

“Erm… Well… How’s the… sword... swinging?”

That’s lame and stupid. It’s obvious she came up with that on the fly with how she paused between her words. How’s the sword swinging? Well, at least it’s different from talking about memory problems. As if she cares about him forgetting her when she already knows he has to have a book just to remember to breathe?
