Saisei | The King's Reawakening
The bright, almost blinding sun beat against the gentle streets of the ever-bustling City of Light as it did every day. Day in and day out, Quincy and their fellow humans found themselves tending to the grounds of buildings, the streets filled with activity and even the constantly swarmed shops spanning the city's reach. For Saisei, it was anything but another day for the young boy.
Tap, tap, tap. The constant banging of the boy's foot sent swathes of sound through the small space he occupied. A chair neatly positioned that nearest corner of who knows what street, surrounded by every type of person imaginable. The sound was deafening, the pattering of feet, rustling of clothes and the reach of voices from one end of the street to the other.
'Vandenreich Boy For Hire. Serious Tourist Inquires Only'
Before the boy sat a rather large and confusing looking sign. As the newest recruit, Saisei had found himself at the short end of the stick. Most members of the Vandenreich found themselves fighting battles, taking care of paperwork and doing far, far more important things. As such, his newest version was as follows. Saisei, the Vandenreich's Personal Tour Guide. While it seemed funny and, frankly, rude, Saisei took pride in his newest addition to the Vandenreich. Well, he would if it wasn't what one considered utterly useless.
It was already midday, for the few hours that the boy had been occupied with his little sign and chair he had seen not a single customer. Not only was the tour free but he'd be the best candidate for anyone looking for the city's most extravagant landmarks. The building Cyrus himself did business, the recruit barracks that housed many just like himself and even Helle Armstrong's office itself! But alas, he was ignored. Not just by a few patrons but everybody. To the world around him, the salmon colored boy was yet another figment of everyone's imagination.
Better yet, he knew that rather soon, he'd be brought down upon with a flurry of requests from all but the one customer he wished for. Just like him, Riku Nanika was everything Saisei strived to be from an inquisitive perspective. Not only did she have an interest due to her rather skeptical attitude, she wasn't afraid of learning. The perfect fit for Saisei, you would think. In reality, he was fed up with how the day had gone and found himself simply resting, one eye opened beneath his cap while he waited. Truly a man's man.
"So much for workin' for your boss, what's a guy gotta do to get interest in this city?"
Saisei spoke so loud that someone could easily confuse his idle drivel as a retort to an actual living human being. It wasn't, far from it in fact. Shaking his head, he threw his hands into the air admitting defeat, slumping further into his chair.
"I will have a customer eventually, I am guaranteed of that, aren't I?"

"Nothing in life is guaranteed except for death, everything else can be boiled down to statistics. But.... since you asked nicely." A butterfly would fly by Saisei's face as a coin would be flung at him and then disappear right before it lands in his hand.
Riku was not a person that frequented the City of Lights. In fact, this was her first time being here at all, but she had a good reason. That reason was Saisei, a lost boy that she had met recently that had a... peculiar situation. She felt bad just leaving him to his own devices because of his situation, so a few days ago she asked him where he goes all the time and that's what leads up to now.
She stood off the to the side of him, just outside of his field of view and a grin on her face. Even if he couldn't look at her directly, her violently vibrant hair probably gave her away minutes ago as she tried to make her way through the crowd to look for him. If this was anyone else, she would have just directly asked them for direction, but because she and Saisei were still at the beginning of their friendship along with the fact that she wanted this to be a surprise, Riku had spent the past hour looking for him.
"You know, you should probably watch out for your phrasing there Vandenreich Boy or people might get the wrong idea. You're lucky I showed up and not some lonely middle aged woman." She took a moment to think about what she said, her eyes darting back and forth and a line began to form on her forehead. "Or maybe you're into that kind of thing, huh?"

After being dropped off by Uriel, Maria knew naturally that her next destination would be visiting Helle but she decide to take a detour once more. Okay, so actually it wasn't planned, but can you blame her when you see a stupidly large Starbucks in the middle of this stupid city!? Her non existent heart practically skipped. Mimi thanked the heavens as she sipped delicately on her mango dragon fruit lemonade, a small moan escaping from the ecstasy the white haired woman felt, bringing a hand to her face to fan it as she gushed. Which definitely earned a few odd stares but she could give less of a fuck about those extras. Umbrella twirling around her, Maria decided to talk a walk around to enjoy her drink before heading to her "doom". Not that bossy Helle was scary, it was just different. If she was a man, or even into women, she'd totes claim her. Skirt swishing around her thighs, her stalking around the district lead her to something quite...entertaining? Is that the word for this?
Mimi took a particularly loud sip of her pinkish purple drink as her eyes flickered between this sad, sad sign and the two children before her. Amusement lit bloody orange eyes as the woman jutted her right hip out and clicked her heeled foot against the ground to gain the attention of the taller boy and slightly taller girl. "I wouldn't say I'm middle aged...but I can provide the professional experience, Vandenreich Boy." She was going to need to feed later, after all, and he looked like a good candidate, despite looking a little on the young side. Her grin was sly and amused, as she sipped and observed the duo's reactions.
Goddamn this shit was good.

Saisei rarely used such language but the sudden and abrupt coin that gently floated before him brought his heart to life. Startled, the boy looked to and fro for the source of the coin letting out a gentle sigh once he spotted his target. As if on cue, none other than Riku had found herself before him. As expected from the girl, rough and forward with her words. The usual, even if not knowing her for very long.
"What could you possibly be on about?"
Feigning innocence, Saisei gave the girl a smirk despite the circumstances. He was far from what you would call a pervert, let alone naughty. Despite that, he couldn't help but smile. It was nice to have fun without the expectation of a lesson for a change. He may have brought that on himself with how he spoke but that didn't really mean much in the long run.
"You are, what one could say, my first customer of the day. Sadly, you aren't a real customer. Oh how I am touch starved for the work I so long for."
The words came and went with a sudden and rushed tone, mimicking that of what Riku implied entirely. It was rare that Saisei could entertain himself in such a manner, why wouldn't he take this opportunity?
"What would you, let alone anyone, know about what 'I'm' in to, hm?"
As he finished, he was nearly cut off by what one could consider to be exactly what you think of when you think 'middle-aged woman'. Riku was psychic, Saisei thought. One in a million chance to have such circumstances all come true at once. Giggling to himself, the boy stood from his rickety chair and held on to his sign proudly.
"A customer? I don't care about the age as long as you actually exist. You're my first, I'd do anything for you."
Saisei was sincere to a fault. His words were clearly poorly chosen, specks of red filling his cheeks after he truly thought about the words he spoke. Too late now, right? Might as well double down.
"Are you my one and only customer?"
The boy smiled at the relatively well kept woman, her blonde streaks quietly flowing from side to side as he watched her sway with her drink.

Well, this was weird. Either Saisei was a chick magnet or Riku's quips have some odd supernatural property to them in which anything she says comes true.
"I wish to be rich." She spoke underneath her breath and waited for the money to literally fall from the sky. Of course, nothing did, but she had to try anyway, just in case. For some reason there was something off about this woman that put Riku on edge, it was probably the way that she carried herself. It wasn't exactly intimidating, but it was a bit unnatural. Or at least, not what she was used to, coming from Japan and all.
"Alright, sir. If you're going to continue to talk about me like I'm not here, then I'm going to tag along for free. And here I was considering to pay like a good citizen. Oh well." There was a hint of annoyance in her voice, but in reality, Riku wasn't taking it all that seriously. Saisei would be quick to take notice of this as she acted this way often.
"So where are we going first Vandenreich Boy? Are we gonna meet your boss or something? What about that one with the huge..." Her eyebrows went up and down as she kept joking with Saisei. Now that Riku was able to escape her normal life for a bit, she was going to take every opportunity she could to wind down and relax. Unfortunately for everybody else, that meant unrelenting teasing.

Maria snorted very unladylike and hid her little laugh behind her drink cup. They looked like little kids, especially the pink haired boy. Was he a boy scout or something? That'd be cute, a Vandenreich boy scout, running around his little trousers and calf length socks, handing out flyers. The woman resisted the urge to squeal at the imaginary sight, covering the small laugh that escaped with a cough. That was cute, but these kids were also cute, and the pinky was waiting for her to speak after all. "While that is very sweet, I already had someone flatter me earlier today, so I'm all flattered out. Toured out too, sadly."
A glance to the multi-colored haired girl next to him caused her smirk. "But it looks like your girlfriend is wants a tour?" Mimi sniggered, a highschool couple in the City of Lights was not what she was expecting to see when she came over here. Maybe if they were a little older, she'd take some of their energy, but kids always were her weak spot. And, on second thought, eating someone's energy in the place Helle worked didn't seem like a good idea in general. She winced at the thought, what an awful thing to think of...

Saisei couldn't help but fill with immense joy, the woman's platinum blonde hair bobbing with the wind. The gentle breeze made what seemed a relatively rude looking woman look... well, younger, frankly. While she bobbed to and fro with her drink, Saisei turned towards Riku with a look of disdain. His eyes cast a gaze filled with disdain in her direction, coughing at the the sound of her ridiculous demands.
"Sorry Riku, I wouldn't be able to ask you for money even if I wanted to. You, on the other hand. Besides, doesn't everyone want some kinda money? You aren't very special haha."
His smile returned as he faced the stranger once more, her words finally breaching his mind. Perplexed, Saisei looked at her and back to Riku, then back. The seconds passed with nothing but the sound of pedestrians, his eyes fixated on Maria without pause.
"I hate to be the bearer of bad news but she'll tag along no matter what."
Saisei jutted the sign towards Riku's direction, continuing with his speech to the rich woman.
"Secondly, its rude to not accept someone's offer for a free tour when that person's only job is to tour newly arriving visitors. I work for The Vandenreich, I don't attend the kindergarten down the road. Now, I would like to once again offer a tour around our facilities and wonderful island fortress. If you're against that, let me know. These tours are one of a kind, highly specialized tours given by only the brightest and cutest staff. Helle wouldn't have chosen me otherwise."
Snickering, Saisei prodded at the air in front of her with his sign. The rich lady had it comin', he thought. If she wasn't going to willingly come on the tour he was sure there would be some way to force her to go along with his plans. If she continued to deny him he'd goad Riku into distracting her long enough to bring her alone. If that didn't work, he could always call Helle and have her order her around. After all, Helle was everyone's boss save for Cyrus'.
"Once and a life time chance. Promise you won't dislike what I can bring to the table for you."
It was likely the woman saw him as a mere child. Frankly, both his height and build made him more of a young adult than anything. Nevertheless, he was sure of his place. The woman was below him on the scale of power on this here island, he knew that. Might as well try to convince her so he could catch some brownie points with Ms. Armstrong.

It was annoying when people were just talking about her like she didn't exist. Like, hello? If you're going to talk shit about her at least direct it to her. Meanwhile, while Saisei and this big titty bimbo continued their discussion, Riku waited patiently for them to end. Once they did, she would walk up to Saisei and punch him in the forehead. It was playful but there was still some force behind it. After he recovered from it, because she expected him to, she would turn on her heel and face away from both of them.
"C'mon, get it started already. I'm not getting any younger here and I know she isn't either. Where to first?"
She made it a point to say no more than she had to, her emotional side clearly showing. This wouldn't be a surprise to Saisei but it would have most likely surprised Maria. Though she didn't care what the bimbo thought about her anyways.
