Africa... A place that used to be home to a once great nation, now reduced to nothing more than a hole full of hollow and other things that were far more uncertain. Hollow of all shapes and sizes came bursting out of it, and Arianda could only figure doing her part was the best thing to do. Such reasons were why Arianda had arrived in Africa with the mind to help out the Gotei with their operations, and also attempt to protect the world that was her home. Of course, she wasn't really there to help officially. After all, the Gotei likely wouldn't ally with the demon unless the situation was desperate; even then, Arianda doubted they would talk to her.

Regardless, such reasons were why Arianda was hanging around near the hole in Africa, killing the few small fry that escape from the hole, and attempting to hinder any of the big boys before they could cause real damage; or outright kill them if she could. Otherwise, Arianda tried to leave the actual killing, and of course purifying, to the Shinigami sent by the Gotei. Arianda didn't want to upset any balances or get in trouble, but some of these hollow were an honest menace.

Aside from that, Arianda could feel an odd... presence. Something dangerous. Was it something the demon wanted to fight? Perhaps... Otherwise, Arianda remained wary and on her toes. She understood how alone she was, and how much that solitude could be both a blessing and a curse. Whatever may come... She would be ready, or at least that's what she hoped. After all, no matter all ones training, or experiences, no one could truly be ready for everything.

ASHER THE EMPTY HEARTED

Another interloper. Another come to throw themselves onto the pile of bodies at his feet. So be it, then. Whoever dared stand in front of Asher would simply be trampled as one more anthill on his path of endless conquest. Launching himself out of the pit from atop his favored mount, Asher slammed into the ground not far from Arianda, raising himself to his full height and hefting his axe upward over his shoulder.

"You enter the domain of Asher the Empty Hearted. Now raise your weapon, woman."

Pointing his axe toward Arianda, one of his most impressive beasts flew in overhead, unleashing a barrage of powerful cero toward her. But Asher gave no room for pause, a single explosive step carrying him toward the new foe. He was not a man who studied his opponents before engaging, was not inclined to wait in the slightest. He would crush all those before him, or he would die. There was simply no other alternative.

A presence approached, Arianda tensed and gazed towards the hole before her. Something, someone was rising from the hole swiftly. As if on queue to her senses, Asher, although Arianda didn't yet know who he was, burst from the hole and proclaimed himself to Ari. The demon's eyes narrowed as she held her scissors in front of her. She would have introduced herself in kind to the hollow? Arrancar? before her, but he gave her no time as a beast flew in and released a torrent of cero. Arianda made no noise as she danced around the barrage of powerful cero, occasionally using her scissors to bisect the powerful blasts and otherwise reduce, or negate, what damage they may incur upon the demon; otherwise, she used her tulpa to block what she couldn't reduce.

Such reasons were why, when Asher came charging forwards, he was met with an attack of the demon's own. A small disc of energy, her shield, came flying out of the dust and debris caused by the barrage of cero. It was an attempt to distract Asher as the demon flew out of the cloud with impressive speed, attempting to smash her scissors into the side of Asher's head. Mere moments after, the demon would kick off Asher's steed in an attempt to seriously injure the beast and also gain distance from the man... hollow?

Once Arianda gained that distance, she planted her scissors in the ground and glared at the hollow before her. She looked upon him with calculating anger, but portrayed a surprisingly calm face otherwise.

"And I, Asher, am Arianda Vael, Angel of Conflict; Demon. Shall we dance~?"

With that, Arianda rocketed off the ground towards Asher, transforming her scissors into a greatsword as she intended to bore down upon the being before her and slam her sword into him with all her considerable might and speed; with the whole intent to give Asher a reason to question his initial movements. Then again, there were some concerns in the back of Ari's mind... This being certainly seemed more than meets the eye.

ASHER THE EMPTY HEARTED

The impact made upon Asher's body was relatively impressive, perhaps, but paled in comparison to others he had faced before. He wondered if this creature before him was merely biding her time, or if this was the very best she could offer. Whichever it was, however, was hardly of much meaning to Asher. Simply rolling his neck for a moment, as if the blow from the scissors had been of no consequence, Asher simply threw himself toward the woman as she moved toward him.

She swung her sword, but Asher had little fear of such things. His own weapon flew toward hers with such force that it split the air, a thunderclap echoing through the area. But such a thing was only meant to stop Arianda's strike, to throw her off kilter if necessary. At point blank range, there was far more value in relying on one's own power.

That was why his foot simply shot toward Arianda's midsection, a kick that could have turned stone to dust and made lesser beings into little more than a fine mist.

Arianda really shouldn't be too surprised that Asher wasn't fazed by her strike, nor should she be surprised when he met her follow up with a rather harrowing counter attack; on that briefly set them in lock. With that reverberation of air, Arianda had the slightest bit of time to react to the harrowing kick that was about to strike her in the midsection. In an attempt to strike Asher before she was thrown away from the hollow by its immense kick, she removed one hand from her weapon in order to slam her elbow into Asher's knee with as much force as her body could muster. With that being her only option, she was soon kicked in the midsection.

With rather explosive force, Arianda shot backwards, any important organs were spared damage thanks to the demon's possessive shifting, but she was left with a heft toll on the rest of her body as she plowed in to the ground. Arianda spit out a glob of blood, realizing she had bit her tongue during the strike. Her body was harmed, but the harm was swiftly being mended as if it had never existed. Arianda snarled, standing up straight as she let her body recover on its own. She was right to at least be a little cautious.

With her free hand, Arianda manifested a spear of blue crackling energy, which she hurled from the dust and debris created by her crash landing. While the spear was powerful, and could leave Asher with a rather irritating bit of damage, Arianda used it as a distraction to attack Asher from the side. Her entire intention was to give the hollow a harrowing attack; one enough to at least injure him. With that, she swung at his side with greater force than before, bringing her full strength to bear.
