Personality:

Mari is a soldier. There is no other word for her when it comes to being a Quincy. She is the kind of person who is loyal to the death and will often put the mission before the lives of her teammates. She believes that if you called off a mission every time your life or someone else’s life was in jeopardy, not only does that make you a coward, but it also means that nothing would ever get done. This is not to say that she believes people’s lives are meaningless, but she doesn’t think that you should risk everything to for the sake of a single person. And complaining about things is just a waste of time that would be better spent doing a job that probably isn’t worth your words anyway. She doesn’t question the orders she is given, seeing all orders in the sense of how they’ll effect things in the long run. She always takes the side of her superiors in any argument, mostly because of the deep-seated respect she has for those who fought and clawed their way up to the top.

Though she acts very professional and a bit cold to people she doesn’t know very well, Mari thaws out very quickly to people and will warm up to after only three or four encounters. After that, she’ll act almost completely different around you. She shows a rather childish and eager side to those friends that she trusts with all her heart. She can act very immature, but only when she knows that there is no chance the people around her will judge her for it. Keeping up with her is tiring, however, for she is very loud, rambunctious and laid-back, and doesn’t hesitate to speak her mind. She is very aggressive and may be taken as somewhat of a bitch since it never occurs to her to censor what she is saying. She is just speaking her mind, as loud as she can. And boy is she loud. Mari loves to share with the people around her, whether the news is a new emotion or a new kitten.

Mari’s second most noticeable feature is her perpetual honesty. She hates lying, she hates liars, and she prides herself at never having told a lie (that she remembers). If you don’t think someone can handle the truth, then you should not tell them the truth, but don’t feed them a lie that will cause them to self-destruct. She dislikes liars, she dislikes lying, and she dislikes it when she has no choice but to lie.

And as for her number one most noticeable feature…this is something that people notice before she even opens her mouth. Actually, most people could notice it from across the room. No matter what mood Mari is in or what her circumstances are at the moment, there is always a feral air about her. The air around her is tense and energetic, like a bomb waiting to explode. She always has a chaotic, wild and unpredictable air about her, as if she could fly off the handle at any moment. Though she usually keeps herself under control, release is necessary and when she lets herself go, she really lets herself go. She always seems to be restless and burning. She is almost like a formally wild dog that is domesticated…you can make sure it obeys you and you can make it enjoy the home, but you can never take away its rough edges.

And... she's a lesbian. Sorry guys.

Background/History:

Karakura Town, Japan. Nineteen years ago, on January 1st, Mari Makinami was born into a family of quincies. From her very first day of living, she was taught the ideals and the pride of the quincy. She was taught that the quincy were superior to humans in every way, that being "Equal" with them wasn't an option, and that the powers of the quincy dwarfed that of the shinigami as well. On top of being a student at Karakura High, she was also taught Quincy History, techniques, and the like by her father. She was a fast and capable learner, having a materialized bow by age 8.

While in Middle School, her mother, a quincy who specialized in the art of the Ginto, was killed by an arrancar, a male, with black hair and pale green eyes. She didn't get the name of the arrancar. But she had WATCHED as the sadistic fucker ripped her mom into pieces. She swore a grudge against the asshole and named her only goal as getting revenge against her.

At age 14, she finished the majority of her training, and left the house to seek a more experienced tutor. Mari found out later that her father had been killed, and this news only dampened her spirit. With both of her parents dead, and no other family that she knew of, Mari went into solitude. Hiding in a cave in Karakura Forest, Mari hid herself away from the world. She spent the five years between then and her current age constantly training, developing a new technique by mixing her bow and the ginto tubes her father had trusted her with, and working on her research to produce a special gun of her own design.. one that could fire ginto at extreme speeds and distances. She only came out once... at the four year mark, she visited her parents graves. It was there she met Facilier, a demon with a crooked smile who offered her power to avenge her parents, at the cost of her soul if she were ever to become weak again. She, gladly, accepted. Armed with her custom techniques, and the new training that she had collected over the five years, Mari set out into the world.

Probably just to look for trouble.

Ziamichi Personality:

Facilier is a scheming bokor who tricks his victims into making deals with him. He can read their past and present with his tarot cards; he then looks into their futures as well, and offers to "change it 'round some." However, the deals he makes usually backfire on the victim, though Facilier isn't exactly dishonest as he does give them exactly what he promised, even though it isn't what his victims had in mind. Facilier is indeed suave, smooth-talking and often charming, but also cruel, remorseless and sadistic. A charismatic performer, Facilier is a smooth-talker of drama and showmanship. A glutton for power, Facilier controlling and vindictive, doing whatever he can to get what he wants. He is highly Machiavellian as shown by his manipulation of Mari into helping her under false pretenses. Facilier does not underestimate the powers of nature.

Despite this complete lack of morals and a treacherous nature, Facilier's motivations are hinted at briefly. Facilier frequently sympathizes with the downtrodden or poor, implying that his own past may have been similar.

Ziamichi History:

Some demons try for luck. Some for power. Facilier? He just wanted some fun.

Roaming the world of the living was an incredibly boring task. Most humans wouldn't look twice at a strange man offering them the deal of a lifetime. They were all either too busy, too unattentive, or too strong willed. It really was rather irritating. However, when he finally found someone broken enough to accept... it was perfect. Here she was, kneeling in a graveyard... a quincy, by the reiatsu signature. She said, simply, that she felt weak. Facilier latched onto this immediately. He told her that he could make her stronger, make her powerful.. but at a price of her soul if she ever becomes this weak again. Nodding, Mari accepted the deal, binding Facilier to her soul and fulfilling the demon's evil wish..

Ziamichi Powers: None. Facilier gifted all his power to Mari upon making the contract with her. However, he does still retain enough strength to take over if she ever becomes weak enough, as per the deal.

Unique Traits:

Tarot Cards: Using a special deck of cards that Mari can summon from thin air, Mari has the ability to read the past, present, and futures of willing victims off of the cards. She is proficient in sleight of hand, effortlessly shuffling, twisting and manipulating her deck of tarot cards. Mari's tarot cards possess strange properties: the images on them seem to change, reflecting the desires of Mari's victims. The cards usually show his victims their future in a positive light; however, they are unable to corrupt the truth entirely and usally include a clue as to the victim's real fate. Luckily (for her), Mari is a master of deceit, with charm and persuasion being second nature to her.

Conjuration: Mari has the ability to summon certain things out of thin air. Her deck of tarot cards, clouds that show events that are currently transpiring in other places, or that have transpired in the past (though she has to have been there to apply this.) She also can conjure illusionary images that effect, not the person, but the world itself. She can use this skill to summon images of the desires she sees on her tarot cards, using these projections to further influence the decision of the victim.

Shadow Familiar: Mari's shadow acts as a familiar and is capable of moving on its own, being able to separate itself from her for a short while as well as changing its shape and size. Furthermore, her shadow can affect other things through their own shadows - such as when it pushed the shadow of Mari's chair up so she could sit down. It also seems to reflect Mari's current mood, such as when it was shown biting it's nails when Mari was starting to worry about what would happen if she lost Solas. Mari can also call upon an army of fiendish shadow minions to do her bidding, with similar powers to her shadow. These shadows came in many shapes and forms which they can alter while moving. Being shadows, they are capable of squeezing through anything and travel along any surface, including water. Their only true weakness is light. However, in all cases, the light was shined directly at them, meaning they can probably withstand indirect light. When not serving Mari, the shadow demons hide in other shadows until she calls for their aid again.

The Contract: The epitome of her powers under her ziamichi. If anyone she talks to falls for her trickery, gives into her deceit, she is allowed to make a deal with them. If they accept the terms of this deal, (Though Mari doesn't always outline the true purpose of the deal, using play on words and implications to make the outcome seem positive) then Mari can use a special talisman to collect their blood through a bite that can pierce even the strongest spiritual defense, but only if the target is willing. This talisman, once filled with the blood, will alter the nature of that victim's reality, allowing whatever was agreed upon to come true.

Drawbacks:

Curiously, despite having great power, the nature of this voodoo leaves Mari unable to conjure a thing for herself. Instead, she must rely on trickery and guile to manipulate other people into doing what she wants. The nature of this power seems to stem around the deals; she only gains full access to her voodoo when fulfilling someone else's wishes (although she can usually twist them to suit her own ends) or tempting them

Quincy Tools and Techniques

Mari's arrow limit with her bow is a staggering 3,000 arrows a second.

Reiryoku Absorption & Manipulation: Mari as a Quincy primarily absorbs spiritual energy from the atmosphere, and combines it with her own spiritual energy to form weapons. She has an easier time collecting this energy in environments with higher concentrations of spiritual particles, such as Soul Society or Hueco Mundo. To a sufficiently powerful Quincy, there is no difference between spiritual particles and spiritual energy as a source of power. She can manipulate spiritual energy for offensive purposes. Mari most commonly reshapes spiritual particles into her bow and arrows, but can also concentrate spiritual energy into the form of swords (Seele Schneider) or Gintō.

Spiritual Awareness: As a Quincy, Mari can sense Hollows at a significant distance. She can even tell what direction it's in.

High Spiritual Power: Mari has displayed a high amount of spiritual energy. She has obviously mastered the Quincy ability of Reiryoku absorption, taking in reishi and spirit energy alike; This on top of her own energy reserves lends her plenty of strength in combat.

Ginto Rifle: The rifle that Mari can materialize from thin air is no ordinary weapon. An amazing innovation of Mari's own design, this rifle will fire miniature Ginto Tubes at about 812 mph. She can hit a bullseye with this rifle from 2,707 yd away using the scope.

Hirenkyaku Expert: Mari is able to move at tremendous speed, almost matching that of real grandmasters of this area. Since Hirenkyaku is generally a bit faster than Shunpo, she also is a bit faster than experts of Shunpo. Sonido seems to be roughly the same speed, however.

Platform Manifestion: The Quincy condenses spiritual energy in the form of a platform, lifting himself and others up into the air. The Quincy can more the platform at his will. Mari can create up to 10 platforms at once to use them in battle.

Licht regeneration: First more Reishi than usual are stored inside the bow, before the Quincy uses Hirenkyaku to get over the enemy, and release a barrage of arrows at once. The number of Arrows depend on the kind of bow used.

Seele Schneider: One of the most basic Quincy Tools, this bladed arrow consists out of many vibrating and spinning spiritual blades. Their extremely fast vibration makes them able to disrupt any spiritual or solid object they hit, basicially meaning: They can cut through anything not resistant against spiritual energy or vibrating at the same speed. Only things vibrating faster can actually break the blade. Once they cut something spiritual, it sets free spiritual energy from the hit spot, which then will be absorbed by the Quincy, into the blade itself, increasing it's energy and length. Once fired as an arrow, it has great force, since it is still vibrating very fast and will unleash a nearly unblockable explosion should it hit. The hilt will remain and be useable again. Mari carries six Seele Schneiders.

Ransōtengai: This is a high level technique that allows the user to control their body parts using strings of spirit energy controlled by their brain, forming lines or strings out of countless spiritrons. By using this technique, the user can control their body as one would a puppet, allowing them to move freely despite paralysis, broken limbs, or any other force that would impede normal movement. It was originally created to allow elderly Quincy to fight effectively

Sprenger (破芒陣, shupurenga; German for "Explosion", Japanese for "Ripping Grass Formation"): This technique uses five Seele Schneider to create a pentagon-shaped seal which, when activated, causes a massive explosion within its borders. The Seele Schneider function as accumulators, gathering the necessary amount of reishi to create the explosion with the liquid inside a Gintō acting as the trigger.

However, there's also a drawback. The preparations needed to successfully execute this technique, combined with the charging time for the Seele Schneider, make Sprenger's use in battle impractical unless the user has a partner that can stall their opponent in order to buy time. It is one of the most powerful Quincy attacks seen so far.

Gert Schneider: Another ginto technique, similar to Sprenger. Using small cuts made on the opponent's body with a Seele Schneider, Mari launches a ginto tube at the enemy, which stops directly before impacting with them. A box of reishi forms around the enemy, formed from their own reiatsu that the ginto tube leeches from the cuts. However, this is not a crippling or even a weaking amount. Infantile, really. Mari then tosses a Schneider at the tube, breaking it open and releasing the stored reishi as it compresses the box, slowly compressing the reishi onto the enemy. Whatever effect this has, or if it effects at all, is up to the opponent's strength and speed.

Unlimited Warfare Works: This spell is difficult to use, since the incarnation takes a long time to speak in which it can be interrupted. Using it, Mari loads the Silver Tube into her bow like a arrow-head, overcharging it with an enormous energy surge. This enables for one literal Arrow hell, sending out bright white beams of energy with the intense power of a Cero, and a magnitude of them at that, leading to the name of it. The beams each have the dimensions of a Cero, the firing range depends on the usual range for the weapon it is loaded into. Each blast can, like a Cero, cause an explosion of white light upon hit with a range of roughly 5 meters per energy stream.

While chanting the spell, it seemingly warps reality to show the users inner self in the form of the sky and ground slightly changing. This change is purely cosmetic, and reverses after firing the shots. For Mari, the change in the battlefield reflects it to a cyberpunk base of sorts, two platforms facing eachother on either side of a hugs abyss of bottomless pit, surrounded by metal walls, gears, and other tech. Again, this change is purely cosmetic and adds to the showing effect of the attack, the only possible effect could be slight confusion if the enemy is very easily distracted.
This technique can be used once per thread, no more than that. If the chant is interrupted, it doesn't count as used.

Comments/Notes: This is apart of my massive check to give the correct Tiers/Classes to Ziamichi and their spirit's following their update a few months ago. If you have any issues with it, feel free to leave a post after this judgement is made.

In addition to that, you should also probably add in the Ziamichi Sync-Rate into their skill sheet.

"Sync-Rate: This refers to how stabilized and strong the connection between the two spirit's energy wavelengths, mental states and the overall union is. While the seal focuses on fusing the souls together, the Sync-Rate plays a much different role. Depending on how high their Sync-Rate is, they may see similar effects as the Vizard's Augmentation attributes when using their Ziamichi powers. That is, the better your Sync-Rate Skill is, the more enhancements your character may generally have when they unify with their spirit. While, if you had a lower skill in this section, you may not see many benefits in the stat boosters related to using these dual or triple powersets. To given an example, someone with an Advanced Sync-Rate will generally be able to better handle the fluctuation in power that come with wielding both theirs and the Ziamichi Spirit's energy; being that their two separate tiers. Ergo, they can see augmentation boost in their mental states, will skills, special abilities and so on. The higher you go in this skill, the more Synchronization is possible. A master or Grandmaster in this may even find a way to even temporarily boost their tier level by using the Spirit(s) and their own energy at the same time ."
