Redd traced his hand along the grey-ish pie shaped walls.
Here he was-- once again. The underground catacombs of the sereitei had served him well beforeat it was, once again time for this place to aid him in the furthering of his shinigami powers.
In truth half of him had not been looking forward to this while the other half of his being had been vibrating at the thought of a bankai. It was a bitter sweet feeling, knowing him and someone he considered to be his best and closest friend would have to face off for the glory of a new technique. In fact she hadn't spoken to him at all since he'd been made a vice captian and h knew exactly why. He'd been told that all zanpaktou were reluctant to allow a shinigami to release their full power and it never ended with a friendly converse of words. There was a storm coming-- thunder and lightning would rage and water would be the result. Redd clenched his teeth, He didn't care he wanted this. He'd worked hard... and she was going to give it to him... one way or the other.

The stale air floated up to his nostrils. No matter how many other names he called it by this was still an underground sewer system and the stend of rancid piss was immenent no matter how watered down it was. Still, he considered this place a blessing, if you could get past the smell it was the perfect place to hideout and get away from it all. But then again getting over the smell was quite a large feat, even though he'd found that when one stepped out into the fresh air they were that much more grateful.

"Mature, Chizana Kumo!"
He shouted, forcing his reiatsu into his sword-- he was going to give this everything he had. He lowered himself onto the ground-- closing his eyes as he did so Taking a deep breath he called out to her in his mind.
"Chizana....Chizana.....Chizana... Let me in"
This words re-bounded and reformed themselves in his thoughts untill all that was left of his mind was a constant jumble of echos of these words. The over powering sound soon died down. He felt a small breeze accompanied by the sound of moaning-- raspy voices from below.. but if they were below... where was he ?
He opened his eyes He was clearly on the top of a building- the hard stone floor and instant view of the starlit skyline gave it away immediatly... But this couldn't be his zanpaktou's realm... the last time he was here it'd been dusk.
"How could it-
"Stand up"
The female voice spoke with a tone that was of disgust and dominance.
Not even thinking twice Redd stood-- reaching a height of about 6'4-- towering over the female who he'd just now turned to come face to face with.
He held a stern look on his face... He was sure she knew why he'd come and He knew what he had to do to get it but at the same time....
"Does it have to be like this ? We've become one before why not on a higher scale?
She gave a small tuft of air from her nose as if she was laughing at him.
"You know damn well it don't work that way"
She smirked at him wipping the zanpaktou free of its sheath that previously resided at her waist-- it resembled Redd's, the same in every way-- including it being in its released form.
The world around them suddenly went back. the ground and scenery about them falling out of place, leaving them in the underground sewer system again.
"Howin the-"
Redd was forced to stop his talking bringing his own zanpaktou up to block the strike of the fierce looking black haired female.
"Pay the fuck attention!....Unless you want to die here"
She spun her sword glinting in the soft orange light that eminated from the small white candle he'd brought with him this attack hadn't been directed at him but at the head of a green skined male that seemed to be stumbling his way through the filthy water towards them.
"No.."
This wasn't possible this wasn't probable. How could he have brought his inner deamons the the world of the soulsociety He turned around in a 306 degree spin The white t-shirt that he wore whipping around at the edges. There were hundres- no -THOUSANDS from what he could see moving from each of the two directions of the hall. He turned to His zanpaktou spirit to scream at her.
"What have you done?!?!?"
She pouted at him--taunting him.
"Me? you're the one who wanted to learn your precious bankai.. you alone have made tunnels unsafe for any unsuspecting shinigami who may be wandering them"
An evil toothy grin worked its way into her features, and it seemed to be right at home.
The male gritted his teeth squeezeing down on the hilt of his zanpaktou.
" I see so the quicker I defeat you... the quicker these THINGS leave .....Seems do-able"
He shunpoed forward Appearing with an arm already cocked ready to strike-- His left arm came flying down at her torso-- being shortly followed by his right knee coming up to meet her side. Still maintaining a grip on his zanpaktou he swung it ownwards at her left side as well. He jumped backwards as words lept from his tounge directed at the female.
"Hadō 32 ! Okasen!
He raised his zanpaktou in front of him in a horizontal line-- yellow energy building up in the middle of his sword and then spreading outwards making a zipping sound as yellow fire seemed to spread across his zanpaktou. It then shot out in an array of yellow beam energy the thickness of his zanpaktou. If he knew anything about his zanpaktou spirit his last Kidō assault would be too slow but if nothing else it would wipe out a great amount of the undead that slowly worked their way towards them behind her and that was enough for him.

The zanpaktou spirit flashed her blade up as it collided with the one Redd was using; it was strange, but she was allowing him the use of his shikai. Let us see if he can truly best me... She thought as she watched Redd attempt to knee her, as she used the clash of blades to move back, getting out of his range as his blade missed her, the two of them separating as he prepared another attack to fire at her.

The effects of their zanpaktou had little effect; they were both immune to it, after all, as she watched the large ball of flame as it shot at her. She leaped gracefully to one side, her feet hitting the ground as she shot towards Redd, her blade flashing as she cut up at him, smiling as she attempted to connect the web within the zanpaktou to his body however she could, all six strands firing out and attempting to grip the afro'd shinigami as her body turned, pulling him along and attempting to back kick him in the chin, as she released the thread, taking a leap back and then forwards once more, jabbing the blade forwards at his torso region, before stepping plainly as she spun around, holding the blade with both hands as she cut at his right hip, before keeping up the spin and leaping away, creating a plate of reiatsu of which to look down on him, as the undead marched forwards...

Kaminari was slightly curious as to what was so special about the sewers. Redd had mentioned them before, but she never really understood why he'd be hanging out in this area. She had come to the entrance, at least what she thought was the entrance to the place and opened it up. Stepping inside, she was gladly greeted with a sidewalk. She assumed that anyone who had to do any maintenance down here used it to avoid being covered in human fecal matter. The smell was horrible. A sour look came onto her face as she raised her sleeve to her nose. It was even hard to breathe because of it.

Kaminari heard a strange noise and looked off to her right. Something was stumbling it's way towards her. At first she thought it was someone who needed help, but when it went to grab her and she saw the green color to it's skin, she changed her mind. In a quick movement, she reached back and grabbed onto her Zanpakutō, removing Shiroka from her sheath and leaving the katana in it. In a swift swing, she sliced through the chest of the strange being in front of her and took a step back as it fell to the ground. Hearing another sound, she turned her head to see another three coming at her. Her eyes widened and she Shunpo'd a few feet away, only to have two more try to grab her from behind.

"What the hell!?" she thought as she shunpo'd away again, unfortunately bringing herself farther away from the exit. She was now at a four way crossing and down each hallway was more of these things than she had the ability to even count. "Oh... my gosh..." she thought to herself as she shifted her gaze to look down each hallway. She blinked in utter shock. Another came at her, she moved away, accidentally backing into another. She swung her blade around, slicing off both of their heads, but more kept coming. She gulped as she now stood in the middle of hundreds of these strange things. She couldn't even imagine how many were around each corner, but for now she was going to have to see if she could fight her way through.

A got 60 feet of the undead had been cut down by his earlier Kidō ...But there were still more coming ...
Redd Instinctually Dodged Her first slash by a hair the light just barley reaching the top of her zanpaktou-- giving the effect that a light flew down the length of his body. The threads may have grazed his skin yes but unless they were to strike his zanpaktou they wouldn't stick to him. He jumped up onto a small plate of reiatsu and then pushed off of one that was vertical using it to back flip through the air and onto the other side of one of the undead monsters who'd ventured just a little to close. He landed, stopping this spin though allowing his zanpaktou to continue on in its momentum swinging around in three arcs which brought about the death of one zombie to the back right of him-- slicing upwards through its mid sections. As its purple colored intestines oozed onto the floor Redd Kicked the thing forwards toward the female. The beast was skewed upon her zanpaktou coming down to meet the hilt. still not dead It continued to grab and gnash its teeth towards her. Her attempt to slash would have been made impossible due to the weight of the zombie that was now on her sword -- and this was perfect for redd.

The surrounding monsters began to feel the effect of his shikai-- being even more loopy than before The moved without any particular rhyme or reason grabbing and biting anything in their diluted sight... including each other.
Redd shunpoed behind the female Bringing his knee up to meet her back left side.

They were in the air yes, but that didn't mean the undead person that she'd ca-bobed on her sword had let go.. ITS innards still clung to the sword ceeping his body ancored to it due to all its sudden sharp hills and raises. IT continued making grabs at her feet that were elevated dude to the reiatsu plate she'd created.

"Bakudo 8 Seki!"
At the mention of this a small orb of blue light appeared temporarily illuminating the underground hall that thier battle took place in Just where his hand was he moved the back of his arm up to block her next attack.

She spun around, feeling something hit her backside. "Quite a cheeky bastar#..." She muttered as she spun her zanpaktou around, slamming it into the zombie's head as she chucked it off the reiatsu plate she was on, as her gaze returned to red, her eyes narrowing as she swept her foot up, attempting to sidewipe him in the ribs, before bringing back her blade and thrusting it forwards, a smile coming to her face as her flexible body, her foot stopped by his arm but her blade shooting forwards, as her other hand came forwards, attempting to punch him square in the forehead.

Kaminari was stunned by the amount of these things that were around. It was like they were purposely pushing her farther and farther from the exit, but she knew that wasn't true. Her reactions and movements forced her into the opposite direction of where she actually wished to go. She kept dodging things things, jumping from left to right, ducking under them, running through them. It was obvious that they were slow moving, but she could not tell exactly what their motive was, if they had a motive at all. "Oh no..." she thought to herself when she realized she had come to a dead end. There was no end to these things.

"Guess I have no choice..." she mumbled under her breath. Tossing her currently unsheathed Zanpakutō, she reached back and grabbed the other, beginning to unsheathe the normal sized katana. As she went to pull it out, another one of these things went to attack her. She moved under it's arms, leaving her foot out and causing it to trip over her leg. As it fell, she pulled out Hanayaku. She held Shiroka out in front of her, the shorter Zanpakutō that resembled a wakazashi, and pointed it towards the mass of green men in front of her. "Invade The Air, Shiroka..." she said.

Her blade started to glow a dark pink for only a moment and then shot out in the form of one hundred orchids. Kaminari made it where the orchids would bunch up just enough to block the entire pathway, much like a wall of flowers. Pushing her sword forward in a stabbing motion, the orchids mimicked her gesture. The orchids pushed the green men away from her a good thirty feet. The few that stood near her still were cut down and fell to the ground. She held out her right hand and summoned a Jigokucho.

As it appeared, she gave it a message, "Lieutenant... I'm in the sewers fighting off hundreds if not thousands of some strange green men. I know this sounds ridiculous, but I seriously need some assistance... Ah!" She was cut off as the green men had all gotten up and went at her once more, some seeming a bit faster than others. The message was cut off as she sliced through one of the men and sent the butterfly off. "Oh god please hurry..." She moved away from another one of these strange men, her back hitting the wall behind her.

A blade-less hilt in her left hand, a katana in her right. She decided it was about time to get the heck out of this corner and brought her left hand backwards. The orchids that she had previously sent out came back to her and formed another wall in front of her, this time leaving no space between her and them. Every green man had been blocked off. In a quick thrust forward, she pushed her orchids as well. The pressure from the orchids being pushed, caused every green man to be pushed back as well. She ran forward, continuing to push them back with every step she took.

Having cleared that entire pathway. She stopped and looked down another just to see that there were hundreds more there. "What the hell is going on down here?!" she thought to herself and shook her head. She needed to get to the entrance, but all of these things were blocking her path.

Her initial kick was her own downfall.. literally. Redd placed the orb that hovered over the back of his hand In front of her foot. The effects of seki was simple... and you could guess what the kdou did based on its English translation... repulsion... The result was a small burst of energy that knocked the zanpaktou spirit backwards into the air. She went on to sail backwards and would be incapable of shunpo unless she could right herself.
Redd shunpoed over top of her, His head only a few inches from the ceiling of this tunnel. He placed his hands against the surface above him and thrusted his feet outwards-- fully extending his body and using the strength of his arms as well. A cushion of air was shattered -- provided that he connected a ring of air would have exploded out from her mid-section spreading about and creating a popping sound as she flew towards the ground... to the awaiting horde below.. Of course most of these things were pre-occupied with attacking one another,not just being interested in the whiter meat.

He was indeed worried about his zanpaktou spirit... would she die? would they eat her? COULD they eat her? was she strong enough the fend them away? all of these gthought flew through his mind. He wanted to deafeat her... but if she died here... its possible that she might dis-appear forever.. and then what ?

As she flew back into the zombies, the zanpaktou spirit merely smiled. She held her blade above her chest, before plunging it in... and the entire thing went inside of her, as she flew down at the zombies below. As she fell, four large appendages shot from her body, spearing through a zombie each as she stood up straight on them, cracking her neck as the appendages bent over, pointing directly at Redd's body. "This... is Bankai." She said simply, as the legs behind her began whirling and spinning, slicing a dozen of the zombies around her into death instantly as she looked at her owner. "Do you have what it takes to defeat THIS...?" She asked him, her eyes narrowing as she looked at the Afro Samurai...

Tmp. Tmp. Tmp.

These noises echoed through the hallway of where Kaminari was running towards, as several of the green skinned monsters suddenly turned around, not expecting it as suddenly large explosions went off in their ranks, totally unexpected, as a figure appeared in the mist on the other side of the horde, as it threw a hand out, a large amount of black spikes firing from the hand as they speared more of the zombies, and the figure walked forwards, appearing to the girl, his white hair splayed in the wind and the star-shaped scar that ran down his face plain as he grinned at her.

"Got your message! Looks like we're in a bad B-movie... but let's kill some zombies!" He said enthusiastically, his wrist turning as he replaced his dagger with his pistol in his black left arm once more, his Shikai and Laughing Gray that caused this flowing white cloak to shine as the First Squad lieutenant walked on, waiting for Kaminari to follow him, back towards the entrance. ...These things are scary. He thought as a bead of sweat ran down his cheek; he really, really hoped one didn't try to grab him...

"There is no point in having power..."

Kaminari was impressed with how quick her Lieutenant made his appearance, but at the same time she expected nothing less. As he looked to her, all she could do was raise an eyebrow and smirk at him. "Zombies, huh? Didn't think such things existed outside of horror movies. What the hell are they doing down here? Some sort of experiment?" She asked as she heard something behind her. The zombies that had been knocked down so she could pass them by were all slowly getting up. Some already were up and making their way towards the two of them. "I've.. got your six?" she gave a nervous smile and turned her back to him. It seemed they'd be fighting back to back at the moment. "I think we should get rid of them before they make their way out of the sewers." She took in a deep breath and slowly let it out as she began to focus.

The moment she was able to focus, the look on her face actually became slightly calm and emotionless. She seemed as if battle was nothing to her, and was ready to do what she needed to do. Swinging her left arm around and to the left, she the orchids began their movements once more and came around to the side of the zombies. She only used this to push them out of the way, making their bodies slam against the wall. "Don't say anything about me not exploding these things..." she said as she jumped out of the way of one's attempt to grab her, "I'm not sure how strong the sewer system down here is and causing hundred of tiny explosions isn't the smartest idea..." She explained to him. "Oh shit..." for the firs time ever, she actually decided that cursing was appropriate.

Down through the sewers tunnel, she saw a few shadows coming along and her eyes widened. More of them were coming. A lot more of them. She took a step back towards her Lieutenant and waited to see. As they finally turned the corner, they kept coming. They weren't stopping. "How many of these things are there?" More and more just kept coming. The Orchids all began to float around her once more as if she were ready to fight.

"...if you have nothing to protect."

Redd clenched his jaw, his light-brown skin raising as the muscles in his face tensed. The inner tips of his eyebrow raising up in worry, finally realizing that his own zanpaktou spirit might defeat him. After all those... things looked scary.
"Bad...ASS!"
He shouted the last word-- it echoing about the dark tunnels. This sound was swallowed by the sounds of thousands of zombies moaning and groaning around him. At this point the only thing he could thing of was how amazing it would be to have that kind of power.
Redd let out a small breath before speaking to the zanpaktou spirit who seemed to be flinging purple goo everywhere as if she were a blender making a grape smoothie.
"Y'know ... Kidō isn't what I would consider to be my style but.. it dosn't seem like I'm getting anywhere near you with an offensive defense like that so...
Redd held his hand out another ball of yellow energy already forming in his hand as he dispersed- He'd used his upmost amount of power durring this particular shunpo-- he was going all out.
He appeared to the front right of her- only a foot away as to stay out of the range of the blades that which whipped around her. He sent three quick jabs at her torso, the first coming forwards at her right shoulder-- the second at the space that was just beneath her chest plate and the third at her right shoulder area once again. He shunpoed backwards-- now only 6 feet above the ground He began tracing a triangle a foot in its overall area The yellow ball of light streaked into the air creating yellow lines forming an equalateral triangle. Forcing his hand into the middle the three points of each simultaneously shot at her. He'd only been about 3 feet in front of her with his second movement. and hopefully this would dis-able her but he hadn't been counting on it.
He then landed onto the floor spinning around a few of the undead who he didin't even waste time killing. He shunpoed again above her this time raising his sword high into the air-- holding it with both hands, Hes swung this down upon her Releasing all six of the threads at once allowing them to rain down upon her after his strike.
