Age: 98 (18 at the time of the Transmutation, though appears to be in his 20's)

Gender: Male

Personality: Gernard has a personality that would anger or scare a member of the general public. He would be considered "evil" by those who saw him. He is a cold and ruthless man, who has a bitter outlook on the world. He is objective, having no care about the means, and will stop at nothing to achieve his ends. He is highly manipulative, seeing everyone, regardless of power, ability, or heritage, as prey. Mere morsels of food begging to be eaten.
He does think much of himself, though he does not boast his power of intellect. The only thing he fears is himself, that fear taking many years of experience to develop. He makes sure not to underestimate his opposition, and usually saves the bitter talking for after the job is done. He is not one to talk much when he goes about his plans. He "Does" more than he "Speaks".
He does not believe in good and evil, seeing them only as mere control devices to program the minds of the weak what to like, and what to hate. He regards belief in itself as a total falsity, and for anyone to use it a coward. He favors self sufficiency (Though that doesn't mean he will do EVERYTHING on his own. He may play the sheperd sometimes.), and is not likely to accept anything that is simply handed/ offered to him. He trusts only himself, and cares for no one but himself, though he might have respect to anyone else that was selfish like himself, or someone who seeks to learn the things that he has learned. If he ever decides to have an apprentice, he would be merciless to the young buck, unleashing a beatdown for any folly or show of stupidity.
He has a great affinity for the occult, to the point that he uses his Monolith for tracking the sun, rather than transportation. He likes to read on occult texts, forbidden tomes, and other such items that are rarely read. He sees the world in black and white, thinking that one can only be the controller, or controlled, and that there are no exceptions.
He has a great obsession with the electromagnetic spectrum, mainly the visible spectrum, though he does take time to study the rest. The reason for his great love for the visible spectrum is that it asserts the the aspect what appears to me many is actually one. He proved his point by a little experiment where he allowed a beam of white light to go through a prism, dividing that light into the colors of the visible spectrum.
Although he tends to avoid combat, he is more than capable of holding his own against those who dare oppose him. He tends to ignore anyone who hate or are after him, but if he sees anyone pose a threat to him or his ambitions, he will consider that person as his mortal enemy, and will be merciless towards him/her/it. Appearance(Might also double as the RP sample): Out of the dark depths came a figure that resembled a mature man. As he slowly walked bast the thicket of tall trees, the moonlight from an opening in the canopy would illuminate his form, making him discernible for the moment. He stood a good 6 and a half feet, his build not extreme, but just enough for one to see the tone of his body under his adornments.
His cold, silver pupils stared into the dark distance. It would appear that his eyes could duress those who gazed at them. His skin was quite pale, due to the lack of exposure to sunlight. The man scarcely ever travels outside during the day. The light would make his set of shortly cut, combed back set of jet black hair, the contours of hair and gem like sheen it gave off from the moonlight meaning it has probably been gelled back. He had a pair of shirt bands that ran down the length of his cheek, stopping one inch from the cheekbones. He had a thin, black mustache that ran down his upper lips, stopping right above the corners of his lips.
He was adorned in a large black leather overcoat that ran down his body, the fat cuffs on the bottoms of his sleeves stuck out about half a foot, being folded inwards. He also wore a pair of deep green pants. The loops of his pants were quire larger than the average pants, this is because his pants held together by two thick black steel plated belts, no embroidery on either of the dimly gray toned plates, which shined dully in the moonlight. Lastly, he had on a thin, gray long sleeve shirt that was tight enough to reveal the toned shape of his torso. on his left hand, he wore a steel glove, which was taken from an armor long ago. The forearm portion of the glove was fatter than his forearm, having the symbols of the sun and the moon which were embroidered upon the top and the bottom of the section. The actual hand portion was shorter, and fit snugly into his left hand. Though he rarely ever exposes his left hand, those who saw his bare hand would be afflicted with terror and disgust.
Slowly running his right, smooth palm down his slick hair, a great yearn to hunt growing in his dark mind. His eyes would shift to gaze at his glove as he turned his left hand to expose the palm of his hand. "It is all in my grasp..." He said in a deep, masculine tone, a slight notion of fearsomeness and ambition in his voice. Without any further hesitation, he would break out of his little recollection of how he attained this power, maneuvering back into the dark canopy. And like that, he was gone, being as if he was but a mere figment of one's mind.

Null Tool/Weapon: Gernard's unique weapon is a left steel glove he dubs the Fist of Suns. Taken long ago from an armor, this glove his his prime weapon of choice, which he has on all the time, excluding certain situations. The forearm portion of the glove is fatter compared to the rest of the glove, the bottom ridge having small symbols embedded onto it. The hand portion is smaller, and snugly fits on his hand. The glove is very durable, and can be used to blocked strong swords or weapons, although he rarely does that. What use is blocking with a glove against dual weapons, long reaching weapons, ranged weapons, and such? Once activated with Reiatsu, the fingertips of the glove glow the five main colors of the spectrum, each color having its own main element.

The middle finger=Green (Earth)
The ring finger=Yellow (Air)
The pinky=Red (Fire)
First and foremost, the glove can be used to draw up trails of visible light in the air, so he does not need a solid base to draw up his symbols or trails. The glove is capable of firing rays out of the glove's fingertips of the corresponding color. The rays can be fired in short bursts, or in a single, consistent burst. Upon contact, the ray leaves a glowing, or shining (depending on how much reiatsu was used to fire the ray.) trail where the ray had struck. The more the ray/trail shines. The more the potent the withholding element is, which can lead to stronger elemental bursts, or more powerful enchantments. Depending on what Gernard desires, the trails can do the following (This also includes trails made in the air).
Instantly detonate: upon contact, the trail or spot detonates to its corresponding element. Example: a red ray will create a burst of fire to anything it made contact with.
Delayed detonation: The trail detonates in a certain amount of time, which can be from a couple of seconds, to a couple of hours.
Example: The long red line would glow for a couple of minutes, before igniting into a wall of fire.
Dormancy: The trail of colored light remains idle until Gernard activates it, usually used for completing a seal or symbol, or whatever "drawing" he conjures.

Purity Level of Reiatsu: Pure.

Quincy/Null tools: 1 Seele Shneider. 1 Monolith (Black). 1 Black heart. 2 Silver tubes. 1 Prism 1 Flask
Alchemy: Gernard had worked long and hard to learn alchemy and use it well. He has gone quite far over his decades of research and practice and should be considered a formidable user of Alchemy. Here is what he is capable of doing:

Brennender Stahl: A basic enchantment, the luqidified Reiatsu is used on a weapon made out of metal, or even bullets in a magazine by skilled users. Scorching hot flames engful the weapon, and a unskilled user can even burn himself. Though if used with care, the Null can withstand his own flames without taking damage.

Härtende Schicht: The first technique that is able to be used in permanent enchantments, this hardens the weapon up to a new level. Swords become sharper and harder to break, Quincy Weapons can withstand more energy before breaking, same to the weapons of a Null themselves. Without completely Pure class Reiatsu, however, the technique will run out eventually.

Gestalt umwandeln: The second ability every transmuter can learn, this is the ability to reshape the crafted objects while they are still infused by the spirit particles used by the Null. With this, a iron plate becomes a dagger, or a copper piece a screw - the possibilities end where the imagination ends. However, complex reshapings take much energy, so use with caution.

Die hohe Kunst der Transmutation: The high transmutation is the ability to transform multiple elements at once. Once a Null grasps the basics of transmutation, this becomes easier to perform, but complex tasks can be very taxing on the body and soul. Before Gernard could successfully wield the visible spectrum as a weapon, he had to work hard to become virtuous in the art of transmutation. Through his determination, and years of constant practice, he became capable of changing multiple elements at a time, making his creations and enchantments more efficient. This was quite a necessary step for him to take before he could create his unique enchantment, as it would take a true master in the art of alchemy to create the following enchantment,

Prismatische Ätzung: This is his highly complex enchantment that bestowed the manifold use of the visible spectrum on his glove, a feat so great that only he has achieved so far. This advanced enchantment took him decades to successfully craft, after suffering countless failures to use it. He nearly lost his left hand in the process, but has implemented it on his glove at last. This enchantment uses the reiatsu in order to fire out rays of the visible spectrum. Not only having control over the five basic colors, but the entire visible spectrum (Which is far from easy to pull off). As mentioned earlier, the rays can be used to etch trails of the corresponding colors not only on the ground, but in the air as well. Not only does this enchantment give him full use of the visible spectrum, it also aligns the many colors of the spectrum with a specific natural element or sub element (This can be done by dimming or brightening the color of the light. Take for example: blue= water. Cyan= ice. He can also mix different colored rays to form a new color. and thus a new element/sub element. Take for example Fire and Water=Steam (violet) Earth and fire= Magma (orange) The possibilities are endless) Otherwise, he would simply be able to draw pretty lights.

Sagenkreis: Gernard uses this enchantment in order to defend himself against the opposing elements. By moving around a certain finger in a certain motion, he can create a ring of that finger's corresponding color in the air (elements and sub elements that require the mixing of colors is also possible, but it does take slightly longer to create). Upon contact with the ring's corresponding element (Whether striking the ring or the inside of the ring), the open portion of the ring will glow that color, forming a full circle. This ring is super effective when it comes to defending against the element of its color. But it is incapable of defending against any other element Take for example, a red Sagenkreis can successfully block a fireball, while any other element would simply go through it. While this is useful when fighting against wielders of a single element, he is incapable of attacking until he dissipates the ring (He must keep his left arm out at all times in order to maintain it), though he can still move freely (Though cannot run or make swift movements). The Sagenkreis will simply follow him.

Säule elementar: Gernard draws a circle on the ground or solid object (Cannot be made in the air). This circle detonates into a pillar of the colors corresponding element. The intensity of the pillar depends on how much the trail glows. Take for example: An orange circle creates a geyser of rapidly rising magma being shot into the air. A small, deep yellow circle makes a thin, yet powerful pillar of lightning.) Smaller circles are more potent in damage, but larger circles takes on greater range.

Doppelte Spirale: Gernard creates an ancient occult symbol known as the double spiral. It is two spirals connected to each other, like so.

Each spiral is made with a different color from the light spectrum. When used in combat, it can imply a gradual change from one extreme to another. The only successful one in combat he has made so far is Fire-Ice When used in enchantments, it can bring about either 1. The giving the enchanted item dual elemental properties (No polar opposites though.) Or a gradual shift from one element (Or in this case, effect.) onto the other (Opposites are OK. Think of those patches that start out cold then end up hot).

Spektrale Verschmelzung: This one requires a great use of his reatsu since reversing the process of a prism can be quite difficult, and can usually drain Gernard of his reiatsu for the time being. Gernard merges the five main colors of the visible spectrum into one single ray of light. As of now, his only use of this is to create a small sphere of white light that slowly hovers at the fires direction for a a moment, before exploding into a blinding "Solar Flare" form of attack, which is quite useful to make escapes, so long as he doesn't get blinded himself.

Drudenfuß: Gernard has been recently practicing to use pentagrams with his glove, and still needs plenty of work on it in order to master it. By drawing a pentagram composed of a certain color, anyone who is unfortunate (including himself) enough to be on the pentagram, that person could not use the pentagram's corresponding element for one whole day. Though he has yet to actually test this out. Odds are that the chance of the pentagram actually being successful is slim. He is also experimenting on creating a pentagram by only making the five corners, which would then complete itself by connecting all the lines, which can prove useful for surprise attacks when successfully implemented. His ability to use pentagrams will increase in due time.

Erschaffen Elementar: Mainly being an arduous task, this one not only requires a lot of work, but a lot of focus as well. Gernard conjures up runes and seals using specific colors of the visible spectrum in order to bring about an elemental. Creating one is very costly energy wise, and sometimes certain ingredients are required. Some elementals are easy to create, other are incredibly difficult, and may require a long time to prepare or complete.

Potions:Although he knows how to make potions, he does not have that great an interest in them, compared to his other enchantments. He still knows plenty when it comes to making them. His first successful potion was one that relieved the immense pain pulsing through his left hand, which made it unusable. He had to undergo many attempts to make it work, although the extreme pain only made it harder for him to properly make it It took him over a year before he had successfully made that potion. Since then, his potions were more focused on cursing and ailment. The current potion he is working on is known as a False Cure.

History/Background: Was born in Longyearbyen, a small city on the frigid island of Svalbard, which was a nation of Norway. It was always winter over there, the warmest possible temperature being 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Being born a Quincy, Gernard was ambidextrous, which was quite rare for a Quincy to be. To be a lefty was to have slower arrows, thus making Gernard the worst user of a bow and arrow compared to all the other practicing Quincys. He was considered a joke and was constantly toyed by the other Quincy, emphasizing the fact that he was ambidextrous as if it were a truly bad thing (It was, when it came to arrow speed). Gernard refused to give up, and practiced long and hard during his childhood. Their mockery fueled his hate, as well as his desire to prove them wrong. Though he ended up practicing the most, he still ended up short compared to his fellow archers.
Both his mother and father, being Quincys, have constantly demanded that Gernard use his right hand in order to shoot arrows better, just like everyone else did. The truth was they could care less how good he could fire a bow, they did not want him to break the norm. It not only brought negative attention to Gernard, but to them too. Being stubborn, Gernard refused to use his right hand, avowing to be better than all the right handed Quincys at firing arrows. Though his parents constantly persisted, going as far as beating him for disobedience. As the years continued, the mockery only grew, and so did the beatings and arguments. Years of this would slowly create a bitter hatred for not only Quincy, but people in general. This would be only the start of the cold personality he would develop. The constant beatings he received, and the way he was treated made him learn that people actually feared him. That was why everyone payed so much attention to him. Although the average member of society would consider this bad, Gernard thought of it differently. He felt that he did have control over these people, simply due to the fact that they directed their hate, their fear, and other emotional energies at him. In other words, he begun to learn about the laws of induction. Upon his adolesence, his curiosity piked and he constantly thought about life outside the frigid lands of Svalbard, of the mystery's of nature, of what "lies beyond the veil".
At age 16, his parents could take it no more. Growing tired of his consistent disobedience, and the fact that he was unlike the rest, he was forced out of his home, with no cash, no Quincy items, and no place to go. Their parents were cruel enough to remove the Quincy cross he had, so he was practically powerless. He had only the clothes on his back. Although they were thick and made for the winter, it did not keep him comforted from the sub zero temperatures that filled the atmosphere. From this point on life, he was "thrown to the wolves." Having to rely on his cunning to survive, he stole food and cash, he stowed away in any nook and cranny that was warm enough in the city, and when things were bad, he went as far as to dig a burrow in the snow. He lived like this for two years, and brought an intense mental strain on his mind. Living life out of the comfort zone, no one to help him or feed him. He was on his own. During these two years in a natural purgatory, he learned to care only about himself, and that it was a black and white world. Eat or be Eaten, that was what he thought.
Upon his 18th birthday, the Transmutation began. The virus began to spread quickly, giving the Quincy the opportunity whether or not to become a Null. Most of the Quincy rejected it, and dare not accept the influence of the "dark side". But for Gernard, he looked at the Transmutation at a totally different perspective. He did not see it as a wicked illness, or something to be afraid of. Not at all. To tell the truth, he welcomed it, caring not for his past as a left handed Quincy. He was one of the few that made the leap.

He had accepted the transmutation, and became a Null

Using all the money he had saved, he would purchase a ticket out of Svalbard, and take the plane to Norway, where he would spend a good portion of his life there. Upon landing in the new nation, he had only accepted the Transmutation a month ago. He knew little about Alchemy, and was just beginning to learn basic transmutation. Upon traversing down an long standing strip mall in the city of Mo i Rana, He would catch sight of something quite intriguing. Standing on a wooden shelf was a prism. A small lamp hung above the triangular prism, shining a ray of white light onto it, the colors of the visible spectrum shining out of the other end. This sight captivated him. All of these colors, all emerging from one. Although he had no cash to purchase the prism, he became obsessed with it. To the point where he would begin to rigorously practice basic transmutation. A few days later, he has made his first successful transmutation, a prism.
His first creation would bring about a spark within his mind. Gernard discovered the wonders of creation. All of his life he only saw destruction, people who used weapons to destroy. People who gave nothing and yet consumed so much. People that were truly a bane of the earth. He had a hankering to make more, to continue to create. And that he did. After settling himself at a small shack on the outskirts of the city (Which was originally given to him by a dabbler of magic in order to caretake the property, but the owner never returned.) He would constantly be practicing alchemy. One thing was certain for him, although he was starting again at a totally different place, his memory of the past did not leave him. On the contrary, it was still haunting him, and would continue to haunt him for a long time, which would inadvertently continue to shape his objective and cold personality, as well as keep him motivated to practice alchemy and continue to try.

His biggest interest was on the light spectrum, specifically the visible spectrum. Since the first successful transmutation, he yearned to one day be able to control such vibrant rays himself, not only being able to just control them, but infuse them with the natural elements and sub elements. The sad thing was that normal alchemy was incapable of generating light, at least not to the point of any basic control. Though he did not let this stop him. Having read some of the old books and tomes that were left in the shack, he began to grow a deep interest in the occult, as well as start practicing enchantments. Although in these first couple of decades, he put his heart at transmutation, to the point where he could transmute multiple elements at once, alter their shapes to complex forms and structures, and even create large quantities. He spent less and less time outside, considering it useless to go out. The people were stupid, and the attention he would receive would be un-wanted.
Over twenty years of working on alchemy, he would make a gradual shift from bettering his transmutations, to fulfilling his desire to wield the visible spectrum in his fingertips. He would begin work on an enchantment capable of doing this. It was no simple task, resorting to ancient runes and old seals from the occult texts and forbidden tomes, he would craft an enchantment, one by one. The object of choice being a steel glove he took from an armor that was collecting dust in the shack. After drawing the alchemic symbols of the sun and the moon, he would begin to create the custom seals for that unique enchantment. In the start, he only met failure, if not instantly, then gradually when he attempted to use the glove, which would either burn or fill his left hand with immense pain. With each and passing failure, his hand would be given a new scar, a new burn, a new ache.
20 years of failure and anxiety pass before the damage he received from trying to make the desired end nearly resulted in the total loss of his left hand. The pain became too extreme for him to handle. No longer could he use his left hand, which was scarred and burned beyond recognition, yet surprisingly still there. No herbs or painkillers could relieve the pain, and it brought constant agony and torture to Gernard. Think a big, nasty carpel tunnel that refused to leave. Such pain nearly drove him into insanity, though he still did not give up. It was this event that would cause him to start practicing potion making. Being only limited to one hand, the already difficult task of making a potion to relieve his condition. The extreme pain only made the task more ridiculous for him to accomplish. This nearly caused him to break down, and surrender his ideals and self-made promises. He wanted self sufficiency and self trust. He did not want to go towards others for the solution. Still, the pain was unbearable, and the constant failures that occurred for making a potion seemed endless. He could simply go to someone for help. Just once...But no. He refused. Like a madman he would continue to do it alone, keeping his promises top priority. The hatred for people, the way he was treated, all the had learned and all he had gone through. Like a blazing fire his soul pushed on, and thus he continued his trials. He would have to endure constant failures, explosions, spills, and other humiliating events for a year and 60 days before he finally had succeeded in making the potion.
After the pain exited his hand, he felt a sense of accomplishment that filled his heart with a powerful vigor. He did it. And he did it all by himself. He did not kneel after all, and had been able to keep his vows. At a time where even he thought that he was insane, he pushed on. And now he did it. This event would harden his self trust, creating an even more bitter hatred for the general public. He would continue to work on the complex enchantment for one more decade before at last, he had did it. An endless streak of failures and pain finally came to an end, with the completion of his most complex enchantment, Prismatische Ätzung. The thrill of wielding the visible spectrum in his hand was really exciting for him. Since then, Gernard has been practicing on using the Fist of Suns, bettering his use of the rays of the visible spectrum, as well as creating other enchantments to use. Other than reading an occult text or trying to create a new seal, he is also begun the practice of making elementals, yet he has not made any as of now. As of now he has moved to Russia, and goes from place to place, on the lookout for those simple minded enough to exploit.
